Which are the answers? Yeah. Well, you're not going to talk about the question so much. If you just give questions without answers, then we're a philosophy podcast. Right. Right, which sometimes we do.

Actually, most of the time we do questions without answers, so I don't know what you're talking about. But we also have a Dynasty startup segment on the show today. So if you are in a Dynasty League, if you're planning on starting one this year, basically we're going to tackle some of the biggest questions for Dynasty startups. Dynasty is a great format. We love it. We give most of our attention.

All right, you can follow us on Twitter at the FF Ballers. I want to jump into the quick question, which is a, it's a PS to the last episode of the show. We talked through the coaching changes. If you didn't listen to that episode, it's a great one. It came out on Tuesday morning, and we went through all of the head coaching changes and offensive coordinator changes. Or so, you thought. Yeah, but we did leave out somewhat intentionally. I'm going to go with that. Joe Philbin, the new offensive coordinator in Green Bay. New again. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, he's been.

He's been around. It changes nothing for me. Joe Philbin. That's the summary? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, we've seen. He's been the offensive coordinator for Green Bay. Exactly. We know what to expect here, and it's that Aaron Rogers is very good, and he will continue to be good. The offense will do fine. If you look at Philbin as a coordinator, as a head coach, and how his offenses have succeeded, I can pretty much tell you, his offenses are very good.

With Aaron Rogers. And it will continue to be. Top 10 in points every year's offensive coordinator for Green Bay from 2007 through 2011. And yeah, like you said, he'll continue to be. His offense was not good in Miami during his head coaching day. Did he have Aaron Rogers in Miami? Not to my knowledge. Checking, no. So I think. We also found out yesterday, so after the show, that the offensive coordinator in Philadelphia is the newly promoted might grow.

And I believe they were also interviewing Deuce Staley for that job. Deuce Staley was then made the assistant head coach to the regional manager. Yeah, that's basically what it is. It's actually a step below the offensive coordinator. What is going on there is they've promoted someone into the offensive coordinator role, but they're taking a slightly different approach.

I think to the whole coaching sphere, and they're grooming these guys up, but it really is the offense is going to be Doug Peterson. You know, that is his baby, and he's using all of the other coaches to game plan. Each individual, you know, the wide receivers, the running backs, and then they all come together. He calls the plays. It won't change too much, but I do think it's worth noting that there is a lot of change.

for the Eagles right now with Carson Winses Health, with offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, a lot of change happening there. Even Alshan Jeffrey, we found out today, had surgery on his shoulder, so he's going to miss most likely training camp OTAs. It's a long recovery. So there's going to be a lot of change coming in. I think people might overdraft Eagles based on...

The fact that they're the Super Bowl champions and their office was so good. All right. All right. Let's get into the rest of the news. News and notes from around the league. Well, I guess we'll start here. Mike, why don't you break this news? Merry crampus to everyone. Doug Martin has been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Word on the street is the team looking for Doug Martin.

as far as looking at him in free agency is probably in the XFL or the CFL. Wow, you guys are just pooping all over. Yeah, yeah. It's not a kind thing to do. All pro running back from 2015? He's had a couple good years. He's had a couple great years. Which is what makes the other years so painful. He's had a couple great years. As far as Doug Martin moving forward, I don't know that teams are going to be scrambling for Doug Martin's.

services, especially with what you would have to pay. I mean, you can give them, say, the veterans minimum, but that still might be more money than they want to commit to an aging running back. 29 years old. Who has a laundry list of injuries. My money would be that he, he's playing this year. I'm not saying it's impossible. He's not going to be, he's not going to be a hot commodity for free agency. Yeah, I think, I think that's accurate. I mean, just like, you know,

Adrian Peterson found a job last year. It took a while. But it took a while. I think you're going to have something similar where he's just a piece of a committee in 2018. The Duke Johnson, Doug Martin, Cleveland Brown committee? Maybe. Yeah, we'll see. Who knows? The Dolphins, on the first day they could, assign the franchise tag to Jarvis Landry, which was a bit of a surprise to all of us, thinking that Landry may hit free agency.

Essentially, if he plays under the tag, he's going to be paid $16 million. That would make him the third highest paid receiver behind Antonio Brown for the year. And Des Bryant. I had a couple people reach out because the show we are welcoming of the new fantasy football player. And I had a couple people reaching us. Why don't players like the franchise tag? And the answer is because this is a one-year deal. Yes, it's all guaranteed money. You're going to get paid handsomely for this season. But if you suffer any kind of...

of career ending or just a career altering injury, the future of your ability to make money is completely in shambles. So you want that long-term contract with a high amount of guaranteed money. Yeah, players don't like it too because it's a one-way conversation. It's not a negotiation with your franchise. It's the team that gets to sign it. But...

They may be angling for a trade with Jarvis Landry and seeing if they can, rather than let them go into free agency, one of the better young wider seers in the NFL, let's franchise tag him and find a destination that maybe we'll sign him to a long-term deal and recoup some draft capital. That's the hope. And if not, you got him for another year. Or you know, Jarvis. Yeah, I think it's a, I was shocked they weren't, the rumors where they were not going to franchise Landry. So that was the smart play, in my opinion.

Jason alluded to it earlier, but Alshund Jeffrey had surgery for a torn rotator cuff. Supposedly, he had this throughout the entire season played through it. Happened in training camp. Yeah, and so the hope is that he'll be ready, maybe as soon as the preseason. I would expect him to be ready by then. From my knowledge of the history of that type of an injury, this is not a quarterback recovering from a rotator cuff surgery.

which we saw what Cam Newton tried to recover from that and go through that process. So I would hope I'm not going to downgrade Jeffrey based on this injury myself. Sure. Jason, it sounded like you might. Yeah, I might. I do think by week one of NFL action, he should be recovered, and he's a great receiver. So I'm not going to, you know, I'm not going to throw him down my draft board, but I will have caution and I'll be paying attention because it is a long.

There's always caution with Alshan. Yeah. His injury history. And then our last bit of news, someone, someone out there heard my wish from the wishing well segment on Tuesday show because step one looks like it's in action. There's a Colts reporter. Franklin Gore is expecting that the Colts will not resign Frank Gore. So this is part one of you getting Carlo Tide in there. Yes. Okay.

Although I would take him to Tampa Bay as well. You don't think it's news that they're going to try to trade Trevor Simeon? The Broncos? We were discussing this in-house. His name is Franklin. I love it. This just in. Every team is pretty much willing to shop their bad quarterbacks. If you want to trade for their quarterbacks that they don't like, that they don't want to have be the starter, they're usually available. Yep. Yeah. Okay. That's it for the news. This wanted to clarify.

Yeah, just, I mean, you don't want mysteries out there of what if there's a team that went, man, that Trevor? We would have gone after Simeon if only we knew for sure he was available.
