Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Get ready. Get it out of the way. Get it out of the way early is what I figured. If you think that one drop is getting it out of the way, you think that's getting it out of the way. You are sorely mistaken, my friend. It already is May. It's a terrible month because I get Justin Timberlake drops.
And it's Jason's birthday today. Oh, what a great day it is. Happy birthday. 41. Don't you put that evil on me. No. You are, you're 35 today. That is true. That is true. This could be the best year of my life. Could also be the worst. We have not yet lived this upcoming year. Stunning analysis. Welcome to the podcast. We're back again.
uh we are not the backstreet boys are in sync but we are back again and it's going to be a good one we're going through the draft review a fc winners and losers really is the best way to break down the draft for fantasy football owners look at who won who lost and we're not just talking about the players getting drafted we're talking the teams they landed on and the positions they battle with what a draft
Oh, man. That was highly entertaining. I am still exhausted from this weekend of just watching every single second of the entire draft. But that first round was spectacular. Oh, man. Right off the bat was just craziness. You sure you're not exhausted from the bag of donuts that you just now hid beneath the desk? Well, I don't know what you're talking about. See, Jason celebrates a birthday week. And, um...
He just pulled the bag out. That bag has been open in here for several days and you had your fingers in it just now. Look, I'm down 16 pounds or I was down 16 pounds. This last week I put on five and I'm, hey, look, the day's not over. We got time. You're looking like a regular Kelvin Benjamin over there. Oh. All right. Well, today's show.
Very topical. Today's show is going to be great. We're going to get into the AFC winners and losers. Like I said, I got a good quick question for you. Where do you find us on Twitter, Mike? You find us. Twitter.com slash the FFFB. I've never heard that said that way. Yeah, you're right. HTTP. No, at the FFBallers. Follow Mike at FFF.F.F.L. I'm at Andy Holloway. The website's the Fantasy Footballers.com. That's where you find all of.
our offseason articles, including some first round reception from Matt Harmon, which is good stuff. And you'll be able to learn about our ultimate draft kit and lots of great stuff over on the website. More rookie landing spot. Things we've got a whole series going. The writers are breaking things down over there. Fantastic. And we also just kind of an announcement because I know we've fielded a lot of questions about this. Are we going to have a rookie...
only kind of draft list in the ultimate draft kit and we are and I believe we're going to even try to make that available before the launch of the draft kit for everyone's dynasty rookie drafts come as soon as possible as soon as possible so quick question guys biggest fantasy football surprise from the NFL draft the biggest fantasy football surprise
From the NFL draft, what is it for you, Mr. Wright? Well, there's a lot of surprises, but I went with the Eagles not taking a running back if you're following me on the tweeter sphere. I talked about, I think it was in the middle of day three. I was shocked. I was baffled that they had not taken anybody yet. And I said, are they really going to go into next year with Wendell Smallwood or Ryan Matthews as their...
as the umph as the big back i mean it was and granted there's still they can make a move in free agency but the fact that they didn't grab a guy for cheap in the draft that they felt like could replace them i thought was extremely interesting they got one of the all-time leading rushers right
in the draft, the 170-pound guy later. Like I said, they didn't get a big back. And it's funny because when I look at that draft, I assume, okay, then Ryan Matthews looks like he will be back, which was going to be a surprise. But the beat writers are still saying they expect Ryan Matthews to get cut. So that's certainly a topic to watch for me. And we'll get into the rest. We'll talk.
More Eagles tomorrow on the NFC are on Thursday. Yeah. For me, the biggest surprise when it comes to like just fantasy outcomes was what the Chargers did in their draft. This was the team that on last week's episode, we were saying they don't have to go in any direction. They can go the direction that they want, you know, that they see best for their team. And what they chose to do was focus on offense.
Right, and that's fine. You've got a good deal on paper. You've got a good offense on paper. But their first three picks were all offensive, and those are the most important picks. Two OGs, they got the big six, four, three hundred pound guards. And with the seventh pick, they took Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, and, I mean, a slew of wide receivers. Tyra Williams, Dantrell, Enman, Benjamin, and Gates and Henry. So you put them in a position. We'll talk about their.
the implications of those picks. Big surprise. I agree with you. For me, it was the Ravens not addressing the wide receiver position. That being said, they, I think the draft didn't go the way they thought it was going to go. I mean, with Corey Davis and Mike Williams and John Ross going in the top 10, suddenly you're sitting there in a position where you thought maybe the Ravens would get to choose between all three of them. I mean, I had Corey Davis going to Baltimore, and yet that didn't happen. And so.
They did not address it through the remainder of the draft. Very surprising to me. So we'll see if they had a veteran. We'll see what happens, but that could really affect guys like Mike Wallace, who could be sneaky upside plays after a good year last year in losing Steve Smith and Kamar Aiken. All right. Speaking of picking Corey Davis to the Ravens, quick update for all of you out there that we're following along with our epic lunch bet.
Now, we all picked nine top offensive players and where we thought that they would land. Much like all of the experts mock drafts that were utterly destroyed within the first 10 or 15 picks. Pick two. Pick two, the bears ruined everything. Trades, they went crazy this year. And so we all ended up tied. We all ended up two correct picks each. Stupid giants. What was amazing here for... Jason was a dead duck. For Jason's picks. He was...
he was already deceased, and the Browns were on the board at Pick 12. You had, I had Watson going to the Browns. I mean, everything, you're just, okay, well, it's lined up. On paper, here we go. And then the Texans who are in the 20s move up, and that's who Jason had to shut Watson going to. So he gets completely bailed out with that one. Bailed out. Well, like, it didn't seem. Home run. It looked like the Browns. Okay, sure, home run. However.
On the exact other side of that coin, the New York Giants are on the board. Everything has lined up for David and Joku. I'm going to take the win here because I've gotten Joku going to the Giants and we're all tied at twos. Yeah, and we had agreed that if two people tied at the bottom, they were both going to take the punishment. And then they went tight end. But not the right tight end. Mean dummies. So we're taking suggestions on Twitter for a tiebreaker right now. We thought, you know.
The fun of the lunch bet is somebody picking something terrible for someone else to eat. So we didn't just want to all go out and get something gross to eat because we probably wouldn't do it right. So taking suggestions on Twitter for how to split the tie ideas you might have for this offseason. So let us know. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league. Before we jump into the news, just a quick update on footclanhelp.com.
The participation, the generosity has blown my mind. Once again, Foot Clan, helping out my aunt with her. She's trying to raise some funds for just a ton of dental surgery that she's had to get. She's already had some of it. It's related to her struggles, her long-term struggles with lupus. So at Footclanhelp.com, I'm telling you, she could not even fathom what was happening, the movement from the Foot Clan. And so quick update to that.
For my hair, what I was not expecting was a, I put it out there. If you donate, you go hashtag bun off. I'm going to, we get to a threshold. I'm going to cut my hair quickly. There was a huge. There was a groundswell. There was a, another, a separate movement that I was not expecting of people voting to save the bun. So I sent out a video. Hopefully you saw it and I said, the only fair thing here is I'm a man of the people. I'm unverified. I'm with you.
We head to head. We got a head-to-head competition here of people trying to save the bun, people trying to get the bun cut off. So this is still running. The deadline is today. So at the end of day today, at the end of the day, I will tally everything up and I will tell you it is neck and neck. Do you know who's winning right now? I do not. I haven't checked since yesterday, I believe. But it is very, very close. And if you want to weigh in on that and help my aunt out, it's a great cause. She's a great woman who just.
Needs a little bit of help. So, footlandhelp.com. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Well, hopefully we can get your hair off as we just got your love for Kristen Michael. Oh, yeah, we'll start with that. Okay. The Packers have released Kristen Michael making, what, how many times with Kristen Michael genuinely been released in the last two years? Is that five times? Four times? In the last two years? Yeah.
Twice from the Seahawks. Twice from the Packers. The Cowboys. Twice from the-five times. That's incredible. Now, he was technically cut from the practice squad for the Redskins, too, right? Yes. So that's six times. Wow. Six cuts. Well, I think one of those was a trade. Seattle traded him the first. Okay, five cuts in a trade. Sorry, Kristen, Michael. I still love you.
Time Montgomery is still the lead back, according to Mike McCarthy. We'll get into some of the draft implications on the Packers tomorrow. I'm sorry, on Thursday for the NFC show. The Browns have released Gary Barnage. Bon, bam, bam. It was winners and losers. I've just never seen a team move that quickly where it's like, I mean, maybe that's really a courtesy to Gary because they had signed Barnage to an extension. Last year he didn't have many opportunities. It wasn't horrendous, just not as good as the year before.
But they obviously, they drafted Injoku, moved up for Injoku, and they gave Barnage his quick release so he can go find another team, which he will. Yeah, I imagine he will find work. Surprising, Blake Bortle's fifth-year option picked up by the Jaguars. Yeah, I was surprised at that as well. I think there's not a whole lot of upside here other than if he's great. They save a few million, but they're paying for him next year no matter what. So I think this is an indication that they are more connected to him than a lot of the rumors.
