Did you know everybody else out there doesn't live in Arizona, and they didn't have to kind of feel what we felt? You know. That's a good thing, by the way. It was a good year. Look, some people, we all mourn in different ways, and apparently I do it naked. Pantsless. We're professionals. We're going to come on the show, and we're going to use this as a vessel to whine to you, the listeners, about the Cardinals. No, it was tough. It was not...

It was not our game. I believe I tweeted with Stan the Storm when it was 10 to nothing and then did not tweet again until I inferred that Arian should take Palmer back behind the woodshed and put him down. Yeah, someone on Twitter in your silence was asking for your well-being, whether we should check on you to see if you were still. Oh, for me? Yeah.

Yeah, well, look, I started the game with about 15 friends and family there watching. And by eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, I was alone on the couch. Some people were playing cards off in the corner. Some people had left. Yeah. It didn't work out. Let's get your opinion on this because I think it's a frequently asked question involving sports, whether it's your fantasy team and real life team. Would you rather be blown out like we were or lose?

Kind of a heartbreaking, very close game at the end. Kind of like the way the Patriots lost. I would rather lose close. I would as well. This was something that now I don't really buy into much of the rhetoric about, oh, it's going to, Carson Palmer's done. He won't overcome this mentally. I don't buy into that because I just believe that some of those turnovers were the result of being down by a bunch of points and just throwing the ball up and whatever. That being said.

these type of things could hurt your franchise, hurt your perception. How did it feel? I mean, did you see Larry Fitzgerald, by the way, in the press conference? He was crying. He was crying. Not a happy man. And from a fan perspective, you know, when you go, which would you rather have, there was no joy watching that game from beginning to end. There was maybe one second before Patrick Peterson fumbled that thing away.

But, I mean, it just wasn't enjoyable. I'd much rather enjoy the game and lose. So let me tell you what we got on the show today. We're breaking down the truth about the fantasy wide receiver position. We've been through the tight-ins, quarterbacks, running backs. Give me your Super Bowl prediction. But don't take all day, all right? Just give it to me. Just give me the good stuff. All right. Here it is. With the Broncos defense being truly world-class, I would say historically good. I don't think Carolina is going to get away with what they get away with. They will win the game because they have an offense and the Broncos do not, but I see it as a low-scoring affair. I'm very confused at who's winning the game. Who's winning and what's a score?

The Carolina Panthers to win 18 to 14 or 17 to 14. That would be a very weird score. I have Carolina beating down the Denver Broncos. What's the score? Oh, a score. Let me go 31 to 17.

Okay. I'm going to side with Mike on this. I think it is a year of destiny for Cam. I think there were one Vic Beasley passed rush away from being a completely undefeated team and just unfortunately for the story. I think I'd like to see Peyton go out with a title as playing this new Alex Smith role. It would be interesting.

But Alex Smith is offended, though. You just said that? Maybe. It's weird. I mean, Peyton has been much better in the past two games. And did you see him roll right and rollback left? He could move yesterday. I'm not. He had a run. He had like a 12-yard run. I'm telling you, he looked different on his feet. That being said, I think at 31-13 is the score I've been putting out there. So I'm going to go 31-13, Carolina. They're just too much right now. It'll be interesting.

How do we do prediction-wise? I had Denver going to the Super Bowl and Arizona. I got one half of it right. Yeah, and I had the exact opposite half. I had the Patriots meeting the Panthers. The Panthers unfortunately get there. Patriots do not. But I still thought. We can skip Mike. I don't think you got any of them. I did not get any of them right. Yeah. I tell you, though, that Patriots Broncos game, it's almost a shame to not talk about how great a game that was. You know when a good time to talk about that game is? Weekly Rewin.

What a fun game that was. Did everybody in the world know they were going to score no matter what? I mean, you just knew. They haven't been able to do anything all game long on offense. And when you get that final drive with Tom Brady, you just knew they were going to go down and score that touchdown. And they put the drama in it. I mean, fourth down and long. The fourth and long, never. Fourth and short, fourth and goal. It was fourth down central. Yep. But, man.

Having a pass rush. That is a desirable thing. Yeah. So, yeah. Well, not just that, but losing, I would say a large factor of the score was the Gostkowski missed extra point. Unbelievable. They had to go for two. Crazy. All right. So that game obviously took place. Denver came out on top. Did you guys, did you?

kind of like that drama built in, or would you rather it was the old rule when it was kind of an automatic extra point? I don't think you can make an argument. The NFL could make an argument that this was all good. I mean, it was just all good to build into the game more decision-making and more drama. Yeah, it was fantastic. I think that there's no way you would say otherwise. And to be honest, he made 513 straight extra points. I mean, it's just unbelievable he missed that extra point.

For him being that kicker, right? Some other news going on. We already talked about the Cardinal game. There's not a lot of fantasy news that broke, you know, to break down in those games themselves other than just what took place on the field. I think that I guess we could talk a little bit briefly about New England and Arizona next year. How's your fantasy playoff challenge? Because mine's broken now for sure. Well, you know what?

I had a great comeback because I had almost all of my players on a three times multiplier. And this week, so I started off just terrible. And now I'm in the top portion. But I bet the farm on the Cardinals and the Patriots. That's what you had to do. I now will have an entire lineup of one times and have no chance to win at all. See, I actually bet I'm where you are too. Yeah, I bet the farm on, I have.

four Broncos on the way to the final round. That's not bad. Yeah, I had C.J. Anderson's at 4X. And then Demarius Thomas at 3X and McManus and the Broncos D. I've got the Broncos D from the get-go. So good reminder on that one. We'll see. Other news that broke, Zach Gertz, signed to a five-year $42.5 million contract extension through 2021. He got paid. He got paid. He's a great player. We all said it. He was one of those guys that jumped out in the truth about tight-end episode where his

his production and touchdowns didn't match up. Like he only had two touchdowns, but he's a guy who was producing at great levels. Zach Kurtz next year, we all like him. Yeah, absolutely. Hopefully the hype train doesn't get out of control over the off season because he's going to be a target, especially for my team. Yeah, he was one of our favorites coming into this year before his injury that really derailed the first half of the season. So next year, looking good. So what's going on with Tony Romo? Tony Romo. They have found out that his bones are made of soft glass. Peanut Brittle.

Peanut Brittle. It's delicious. But it's not good for a skeletal structure. I want to hear more about this soft glass. I want to hear more about this new material. So they have elected to bring Tony Romo under the knife and have surgery. They will be overlaying his bones with adamantium. Yeah, he's going to Weapon X. Yes. So the new, this is why I read the news, I guess, because it actually gets lost in.

fairy tales in the middle of you guys telling it. Tony Romo is undergoing surgery on his left collarbone where he's getting it reinforced for the sake because he's broken in three times in five years. He'll be out eight to ten weeks and recovering from the surgery. And this is just one of those things where it shouldn't really impact the long term. Hopefully it helps him not get hurt like this again. But when you have an offseason that begins and ends with rehab situation, Romo's kind of been through that.

I like Dallas a lot next year, but he's got to stay healthy. He's got to stay on the field or that team falls apart. Well, that's the whole point of doing this is so that he can stay healthy next year. So you hope it's a good thing, but obviously never want to have to go under the knife. So, yeah, I expect he plays next year and plays well. Mike? I gave my two pieces. Okay. All right. Well, then that's it for the news.
