in and of himself, this excellent pass catching back, but he is the best of what San Francisco has, and that role is important for a Kyle Shanahan offense. This is why we were so excited about Jerich McKinnon, who would be crushing it right now, just because of his physical superiority to Berita and Alf. But yeah, I am starting Berita, because if they get down, which they probably will to Kansas City in Kansas City, then Brita is going to be the back.

142 passagesthat's used there in the passing game. I agree. I agree. So what would you spend on if he's out there? Well, 62%. I mean, what would you spend on him if he's on your wire right now? Because obviously people reacted. They got Al if they got Brita early. But if he's still out there, maybe disappointed week one. What do you spend on Brita if you need a running back? I'm not breaking the bank. 20 bucks? Yeah, I was going to say the $15 to $20.
range is what I'm looking to spend. I would be willing to go a little bit higher than that. I think I would be willing to go 30 because Brita and Philip Lindsay are both on the waiver wire. How do you handle that? I'm taking Brita over Lindsay because Brita is the best running back on that team. I think Philip Lindsay might be the best on his team too. Sure. I mean, maybe he is, but I'm not concerned with Alf.
coming in and taking over and really dominating breeder whereas with philip lindsay who has looked great and is clearly the leader right now i mean denbara came out after that game and said we're riding the hot hand yeah we're not going to name him the starter we're not thinking about naming him the starter so if you know royce freeman you know your guy royce freeman is hot they will ride him and i believe that i i so
I'm less confident that I can start Philip Lindsay weekend and week out just off of two good at-home weeks. But I've heard that Philip Lindsay puts those, when you're up north, you buy the hand warmers? Yeah. And you put him in your gloves. He does that. And then he shakes Vance Joseph's hand at the beginning of every single game. And he goes, oh, that's a hot hand. It took me a really, really long time. What are you talking? That was fantastic. Figure out what are you just talking about. That's over two today, man. All by apples.
Yeah, all my apples was pretty bad, too. Brooks, can we get a couple of rulings? Yeah, what's Mike's... The hot hand joke was great! Now, Mike, I'll give you credit. On Twitter, you drop the new phone who disley. That was good.
It was strong. Look, I saw chuckles going on in the back. Oh, we're going to get rulings. All right. What am I ruling on here? You're ruling on all my apples for AMA. No, that was terrible. That was a throw away. Okay, we just won't even deserve the ruling. Yes, that was already thrown out. And the hot ham hand glove warmers. It had me laughing over here. Yeah, you're darn right here. Terrible joke. It's all takes. Other probably owned worth checking on guys. Bilal Powell.
Certainly. Ten touches for Bilal Powell. Six targets. If you're getting as a running back, you know, north of five targets a game, you're going to be serviceable. James White, T.J. Yeldin, Aaron Jones. Are you excited about Jones coming back? Very. I'm very excited as well because, look, they need a spark at their running game. Yes. Jamal Williams is the better pass protector. I get it, but Aaron Jones is, it's clear. He is the best running back on the team.
I'm very excited for him to come back. I want him on my bench. But I don't know if Green Bay feels like they want that they're going to play Aaron Jones. I think that they're going to play Aaron Jones? Do you think they're going to play Smash Jackson? I do not know. I am very confident. I am very confident that Jamal Williams will retain the role and Aaron Jones will be utilized on a small touch every game basis. I'm confident in that. Now, I agree with you.
that Aaron Jones is their best running back. But I am less excited than you two guys because I do not believe that he will get the workload to, you know, really capitalize on the fantasy value. But I would put him on my bench for sure. Because should he get that workload, he would be very valuable. Gio Bernard. You say, we've buried the lead because Gio Bernard is the number one. Here's the main pickups. Yeah, let's name our favorite two or three pickups.
Gio Bernard is 28% owned. He's going to be given an opportunity with Joe Mixing out for two weeks to start. They play Carolina and Atlanta, both games on the road. I expect Mixing to miss both of those games. Therefore, Gio Bernard does he, let's say you pick them up. Do you feel better starting Gio in that backfield? Now, he's probably going to split some time with Mark Walton. Not much. But do you feel better with Gio or Matt Breda going into week three? Gio. Gio, he's.
He's the past catching back. He'll be the primary running back. I mean, when Mixon was out last year, it was the Geo Bernard show. How much do you spend on it? It's tough because it's only two weeks or three weeks maybe. You know it's at least two weeks, yeah. But once that is over, Geo goes back to irrelevance unlike Kevin Coleman. So to me, it's a little bit team dependent. Okay, you're 0 and 2, Jason. You need a spark. Hypothetically, you're 0 and 2. Yeah, and also in reality. Dynasty League, I am 2 and 0.
And I'm taking you all down. We're not talking about that league. I'm also 2 and 0. We're talking about the league where you're 0 and 2. You need running back help because you got, you got David Johnson. You got Dalvin, hypothetically. You got Dalvin Cook. And you got Devonta Freeman. You need someone to come in and put up points for your running back position. What are you going to drop for two games? I would not spend more than 20. Okay. I was thinking in that.
25 to 35 range. If you're the Joe Mixson owner, what are you spending on geo? A lot more. Yeah, I would agree. 40? You're willing to drop 40? I'd probably go in the 30. I don't think. Would you drop a full kiddle? No, I'm going the bits. No kiddle, just bits here. A kiddle is $44 in case you curious. It's like a fortnight. Yeah, one kiddle. It's very specific measurement. Would you spend a kittle or not? I mean, that's...
I would not spend a kittle. Would you spend a kettle on Latavius Murray if you're the Dalvin Cook owner? I would spend a lot, but not a, not a full kiddle. No, there's nobody this week. Do you have an update on it? I have not seen an update. You guys can check on that. But I feel like we are two weeks in, and there still has not been a massive, huge waiver wire. Everyone is rushing to get.
guy. That's great news. That means that the running backs are not completely dead yet. So let me ask you this. Let's talk about those in a waiver wire priority league who next year hopefully upgraded to a fab system. Of course. But this year they're in it. You've got the number one waiver priority, which we all know if you've played in those leagues. That's so valuable because you get the pick of the litter. But as soon as you use it, you go to the back of the line usually. Would you spend that on someone this week?
have one starting running back that I'm confident in and one where I'm I've got three guys or so that I'm hoping to plug in the best situation at the running back too I'm I would spend it on geo I would take I would buy those two weeks and evaluate from there yeah if you're an active player I want to win right now you're listening to like a very accurate entertaining podcast on a regular basis
And you're all over. Giving you hot hand jokes. High hand jokes and kittles. I would be playing, I play more often than not with the buy a week, buy a week, buy a week mentality. Now, obviously, you'd love to have, you'd love to buy 10 of them. But this is kind of, I mean, it's the same thing with a streaming quarterback. You're trying to buy a quarterback like Patma Holmes that you can just start the rest of the year. But I'd be trying to buy weeks because you can react, you can trade, you can make adjustments, you can do that stuff. I want to know what you think, Mike, about Austin Echler.
Yeah. Two weeks now of great production from Austin Eccler behind Melvin Gordon, 11 for 77 on the ground, which was a massive... He was super efficient. Performance considering Gordon was not efficient on the ground. Right. And Melvin Gordon... Is he an ad to you? Yeah, I would add him, especially if you have Melvin Gordon who dealt with an alleged upper body injury. We don't have any more news on what happened to Melvin. He got banged up.
kind of exited the game. The game was well in hand against the Buffalo Bills, so perhaps it was more a matter of that. There's no reason to force Melvin Gordon to go back out. But if Gordon takes a tick back in his snaps this week or anything like that, Austin Echler is proving to be a very reliable running back for this team. He's a great pass catcher. So yes, I think Austin Echler is a I am...
For sure adding him. I didn't buy in last week, but I'm in this week. Did you drop Jordan Wilkins for Austin Eccler? Yes, I would. Would you drop Jordan Wilkins for Corey Clement? Oh, that's a tough call. The Eagles have signed a running back off their practice squad. Yeah, Josh Adams. He's got some juice. Well, I read into the strolls injury. I agree. I didn't know that they had signed someone up from their practice squad. Based on that, then I would rather have Clement.
Theoretic is targeted a lot. Do you have any interest in theoretic? In PPR only. Yes, in full PPR, he should be owned. I want to say, get him off the field, put carry on on. But he's got, I mean, he's got 19 targets over the first two weeks. That's great for a wide receiver. Right. It's annoying watching them. It really is.
Uh, Javarius Allen. Yes, he should be owned. He's only 8% owned. He's available in almost every waiver wire. He should be owned, even though he was, you know, six carries for eight yards. I mean, some of that, you know, when you get a goal line carry for one yard and you get the touchdown, obviously good for you. Uh, but he's there past catching back, you know, seven targets last week. Um, he's a past catching back and he also gets goal on carries. Yeah. So yes, you should add, you should add Javarius Buck Allen. Tight ends.
Who are your favorite pickups this week? Are there any that you're excited about? I mean, O.J. Howard had the big week. Three for 96 in a touchdown and four targets. He has big playability. Eric Ebron, three for 26, another touchdown. I think Ebron is a week-in, week-out threat to score. Ebron or Rudolph. Who'd you rather start? Based on this last week, Rudolph came around. He was targeted a lot. I mean, they were down. And I don't think Minnesota is going to be down as much.
You know, they were playing the Packers. But it was, it was nice to see that they've got, they, they can scheme him and use him should they get down. I'd rather have Rudolph. As would I. Yeah, I would too. I'm taking a look here at pro football reference. They've got Eric Ebron logged in at 26.2 of the offensive snaps. Yeah, that's weekend. Yes. Wow. Doyle was really bad production wise too. But he's always on the field. And in a position, if.
If it's at this point and I'm going, man, who am I going to add off the waiver wire? I need to get a touchdown from the tight end position. I want a guy who's playing more than 26% of the snaps. I know he's come through back-to-back weeks, but you're playing a game of probability. Yeah, and Austin Sfarion Jenkins.
It didn't have a monster game, three for 23, but did get the touchdown. And keep in mind, he had a touchdown week one as well that was called back. So if they are using him in the red zone, he's available. I would much rather have Jenkins than. Yeah, and that's a guy that's playing, you know, he's on the field most of the game. Mid-80s percent of the snaps. Defensive pickups for week three. You got to like Seattle at home against Dallas. Hopefully they get Bobby Wagner back in that game. Cincinnati takes on Carolina. Do you like them at all?
Not really. You don't like them a lot in Carolina, but the reason they're on this list is because they've been surprisingly good. And, you know, over the last decade, Cincinnati usually has a good defense. They lost some pieces. So you thought, oh, maybe they're not a good D. And for fantasy purposes, the first two weeks, they put up solid scores. The Cleveland Browns are shockingly the number one play of the week at home versus Sam Darnold and the Jets. That's who I'd pick up. And...
I may be tipping my cap here to my co-host, which is super unfortunate. But I'm playing fantasy football. I'm looking forward a little bit. And I see who's playing the Buffalo Bills next week. That is the Green Bay Packers. Just throwing it out there. You might want, if you've got a burner, like if I have a burner spot. So what you meant was tipping your hand? Did I?
Yeah. Yeah. I said, hat. You said tipping your cap. That's like a good job. I thought you were about to give me like a compliment and I was sitting here. I'm like, oh, bring me the, because I'm like two and oh and oh and nine. That is an egregious mistake by me. What a slip of the tongue. But you meant tipping your hot hand. Yeah, I got the warmers in, but they, I would add the Green Bay Packers. I would pay you, I would pay you a full kiddle of money to not make your high hand joke ever again.
