Let's start out with the big news from the weekend. Our quick question of the day, look, Jay Cutler has signed a one year $10 million contract, another $3 million he can earn in incentives. What does the signing of Jay Cutler as quarterback of the Miami Dolphins mean to?

the fantasy football world. What does it mean for Jay? What does it mean for Ajay, Landry, Parker, Stills? Julius Thomas. Yes. It means so much to so many different players. I mean, this is not a small tweak. This isn't where you adjust Ryan Tannahill's numbers into what you think Jay Cutlers are going to be. I think this changes the landscape of the team. And if you hadn't heard.

The news on Ryan Tannahill was he has once again partially torn his ACL. So by all accounts, I haven't heard for sure if he's electing to take the surgery, but that's what all the news is. He's out. He's out for the new. I know he's out, but is he getting the surgery? Seems like the dolphins are electing him to get surgery by signing Jay Cutler. If I was Tanna Hill at this point, I would. But this is more about what do we do with the dolphins? I think this is great news.

for a few players and bad news for a few players. Bad news for Jarvis Landry. He's a great player. I'm not, I'm not, you know, going to throw him to the wolves in my rankings, but I do think the tendencies of Tannahill were great for Jarvis Landry, whereas the tendencies of Jay Cutler will be better for Devante Parker and better for...

Julius Thomas, you know, all the years with Martellus Bennett and Zach Miller, you know he uses a tight end, Gase uses a tight end. Julius Thomas really has been a non-factor to me in my rankings with Tannahill and his tendencies. So I've shift there. But I think the biggest winner, and I'm not saying from before Ryan Tannahill, but after he went down, the signing of Jay Cutler is Jay Ajai. I agree. Jay Ajai has gone from Matt Moore and everyone stacking the box to...

Now you have to actually respect the deep passing game. And keep in mind the last year with Adam Gase, Jay Cutler, through 66, you know, there were 66 receptions to Forte and Langford. So he uses the running back as a pass catcher. It wasn't just last year. I mean, Matt Forte, almost his entire career was played with Jake. Sure. I was just speaking of when Adam Gase was there. Okay. Yeah, I take a less intense approach to.

Cutler coming in. I think it's a net gain for Miami in general for the pass catchers. You know, the vertical passing game is going to be better with Cutler. He posted the best pass rating of his career with Adam Gase in 2015. Gase kind of controlled him, reined him in. He had 21 touchdowns, 11 interceptions that season, basically, you know, controlled the Cutler experience. I'm not going to go so far as to say.

I think it negatively impacts Landry very much. I think the cream rises to the top and Landry is just an outstanding player. So I'm not going to be adjusting Landry. I might adjust stills a little bit. And look, Jay Cutler, if there was one thing he can do, it was be sacked. He has led the league in that statistic. And this is an O line that could be trouble. They were not good last year.

It's going to go with Pouncey and how he can perform. So I'm not really trying to throw water on what you're saying, Jay. You seem very enthusiastic about what you're saying about Jay Cutler. But if I was a dolphin fan, let me put it this way. If I were a dolphin fan, I'd be excited. Because that's a hot take. What was Ryan Tannehill? I think I would be too. I'm in agreement here because Cutler doesn't have. Same floor, different ceiling.

Exactly. Same floor, different ceiling. And it's not like he has to relearn an Adam Gaye system. True. You know, and you're replacing, you know, Tony Romo comes in. Okay, well, good. He's a better quarterback, but now you've got to learn the system. I think this is, this is nice? So the question then becomes, what do you do with Jake Cutler? Where does he land and finish in the rankings? And if you're drafting, is he a late round guy that you take a shot on? Jay Cutler or Sam Bradford. That's a great one. I would take Bradford. Yeah, I'm going Bradford as well.

When I brought up on Twitter, the fact that I thought this was a net gain for Miami, everybody assumed I meant go sign Jay Cutler. Oh. That really wasn't my point. I was saying it's a net gain for the pass catchers. But, yeah, I would take Bradford in that situation. You saw Kenny Stills at the end of last year. When Tanyhill went down, Matt Moore came in, and Matt Moore was more apt to throw it down the field. And look who had a touchdown every single game, the final four weeks. And that was Kenny Stills.

I think when push comes to shove and you see what Devante Parker is, like if Devante Parker and all this preseason hype, blah, blah, blah, if it doesn't come to fruition, I think Stills will really, really benefit from the Cutler signing. Because if you can't lean on Parker and he doesn't become a top tier guy, it's going to be Stills in the vertical passing.

If he's playing in preseason, I want to see where he's targeting because Jay Cutler has historically been one of those laser focused on his number one guys. You know, he made Eddie Royal a thing and Brandon Marshall was his number one guy. Eddie Royale should be an example of why Jarvis Landry's not going anywhere. And sure, it could be.

Absolutely agree. It could be Jarvis Landry because Cream Rises the top, Jarvis Langer is great. But I want to watch and see. I also feel like... What's the career high in receptions for Stills? Is it in the 40s? Probably. I mean, the ball... Parker is the guy that I'm interested in, not Stills. I mean, you look at Parker. He's 6.3.209. He's the prototype. He's the big guy. 33 and a quarter inch wingspan. Alshon Jeffrey was 6. 216 with a 33...

inch wing span. It's just that type that he has been used to. 63 receptions in 2014. Yeah. So he doesn't catch a lot of passes. He catches long ones. Yes. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how it shakes out. No doubt about it. We talked about J.HIA earlier, you know, in the offseason, this guy, he wasn't targeted. He wasn't very used in the passing game. So if that does go up, that bodes well for his value. Speaking of which, we have...

I'm calling you out on this one, Jeremy Fowler. He tweeted out that Martavis Bryant is on the bus. He has his pads. He said he hasn't been cleared, but all things look good. It looks like it's a green light for Martavis now for his full reinstatement. Followed by another tweet about two minutes later.

That said, oh, and the GM just pulled him aside, took his pads, shamed him. So you're just complaining about your emotional roller coaster. Yeah, well, I mean, when the green light tweet came out, I was very, very excited. Clearly, that was the sign. Why would you put your pads on it? Get on the bus if you didn't think you were going to practice. So I don't blame Fowler. So aside from that, now the news is still training in a positive direction from Artavis. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting.

The team expects him to practice this week, which means that he will be fully reinstated. He's good to go. Now, here's the deal about Martavis. High risk. I will not sugarcoat the fact that if there is another slip up in Martavis Bryant when it comes to like the NFL player policy, something with a bad test, a bad drug test, then Martavis Bryant is gone. He may never see him. Probably forever. But if he plays.

He is unbelievable. It's, I think he is a solid wide receiver too. And he is a massive, massive boost for Ben Rothesburg. This move, this news lately with Martavis Bryant has made me realize I am probably going to be bypassing Martavis Bryant. I agree with every single thing you said. Completely agree. If he's on there, it's great for him. He is going to be fantasy relevant. And it's good for Big Ben.
