This episode is brought to you by State Farm. Every football fan is different. Some won't wash their lucky mustard-stained jersey until the season's over. Some insist they can't sit down on third downs and some pick their favorite team because, I don't know, just like football fandom, nobody's life is exactly the same. And that's why State Farm gets to know you, not as a policy number, but as an actual person.

Hello, everybody. Good morning. Yes. Mike, how are you doing?
Uh, I am doing okay. Jason? It's a football Friday. I, you, you said you had a, uh, a rough morning getting out of the house. Oh, I, I want to say this. I love, I love my children. I love them with all of my heart. Sure. But if there's any parents out there, they'll understand this.
Sometimes. I hate my kids right now. I hate them. I'm a loving father, but they were monsters. Monsters this morning. Creatures. That happens. It is Friday, October 16th. We are the fantasy footballers. And welcome to the podcast. Welcome in. You heard Fred Jackson at the top. If you missed the Fred Jackson interview. I'm sorry, Fred Jackson. Wow. You two rehearsed before the show. That was Tuesday, correct?
The Tuesday show? Wednesday. Wednesday show. So if you want to hear the Fred Jackson interview, you can go to Wednesday's show. Download that. Our good friend of the show, Fred Jackson. Hey, you know, if they come on the show, they're a good friend of the show. Exactly. You heard the drop. So, no, but it was a good interview. You talked about the O-line, talked about Marshawn, talked about Rawls, talked about his role there. Pretty good stuff. My microphone's falling down. We got a good show for you today. We're going to catch you up on the injury news and notes. We're going to talk second half of the games. Yesterday's show we talked the first half.
We got a daily dose segment talking some DFS today. What else do we got? We got mailbag. I'm going to answer some questions from the Foot Clan from the listeners. We also have a very special voicemail from Tony Meatballs. Woo! He's back! So I never thought there would be a day that I hosted a show that I would then tease a call from a man named Tony Meatballs. Is it Tony Meatball? I don't remember. We'll find out today.

I don't know what I'm doing on there. We're getting there, people. It's just, it's really was more entertaining to watch you figured out because you're kind of the resident young man despite your age, the fact that you're technically older than me. Not in my soul. You're supposed to be the, you know, the young buck. Yeah, I'm working on it. We're getting there. So you're snapping the chats. Yes. So we got a good show. Check out join the foot.com, our fantasy football community. We got good stuff on there.
I was on there this morning answering a bunch of start-sick questions for people, trade questions. Nice. Good stuff. Quick question for the day. Watch the game last night. Will Devante Freeman finish the season as the number one back? Yep. It's as simple as that. If we're just talking, is he going to finish that way? He's got such a head start that, yeah, I don't, I mean, when you put up that many 30-point
games back to back to back to back he can put up some stinkers and probably still finish number one so give me the mic right vaguest odds of that taking place before the season oh before the season yeah zero that's what that was a like there was no chance no no you couldn't even bet on it i should have had you put like your house deed down and your cars and all these things because i knew it i mean i was so clear everybody knew all all fantasy expert like
Devonte Freeman's ascension reminds me of Levi on Bell last year. Yep. Now, sure, people liked Bell more, but it was just, oh, he's going to get all the volume. He's a decent running back, but he completely transformed his body and his skill set looked vastly improved. The same is true for Freeman this year. Here's the thing that's absolutely true. And you guys tell me if you disagree.
If Coleman doesn't go down with the injury, Freeman doesn't have the opportunity. Correct. So it probably doesn't happen like that. Well, at least not this quick. Not this fast. I mean, at least. Because it wasn't like, I mean, the first couple weeks, you were down on Freeman. Colba was the starter. Yeah, and not only was he the starter, but he was running better. In fact, last night, you look at the game, and Tevin Coleman was great. He had four runs for 40 yards.
And then it was the Freeman show. Freeman ended up 13 for 100. It's just so funny to think. I mean, we talk about Back to the Future a lot here. But if you could go back. Way too little if you asked me. I'm just thinking it's so crazy how little tiny things change the course of, I mean, we could be talking. I feel like we could be talking about this about Kevin Coleman. You know.
because of that situation and he looks great running behind that same scheme there. So it's so crazy. For Coleman owners, they put him right back in. He was in on the next drive, in the red zone on the next drive, which I thought was, you know, Mike probably liked it, but I thought it was kind of nuts because they had turned the ball over so many times. That game, yeah, they got away from them a little bit. So let's get into the news. News and notes from around the league. Any other thoughts from the big game last night? I actually, I, uh,
I intercepted an email. Okay. I'm very savvy with the Snapchats, as well as intercepting emails like on the... Like Hillary Clinton? Wait. No, she didn't intercept them. Yeah, I'm like the NSA. I got you. I am the fantasy football NSA. So what did you discover? I got a nice email, and it came from the inbox. I flagged it down. Sure. The name was interesting. It was J. Graham at hotmail.com. Okay.
First, I thought, why is it a hotmail.com address? But I just kept going on, so I looked at it. It was a note from Jimmy Graham. Wow. And he was emailing his old quarterback Drew Brees. Really? Yeah, and there was some interesting information inside. Was there like an audio? Yeah, well, I'm going to need some mood music for this. It said, Hey, hey, DB. You remember me? It's your good buddy. You're good buddy. Jimmy Graham Cracker.
Remember when we were friends and I would run routes all the time and getting emotional. You would throw me touchdowns and catch passes. I thought it was a great thing for me to get all that cash, all that money, and I'd give it all back just for one game with you, Drew Brees. I saw what you were doing with Ben Watson. Wow. Everyone thought it was just the product of Jimmy Graham's talent, but maybe it wasn't.
Maybe it was Drew Breeze and the New Orleans system. And then there was just a lot of emoticons of sad faces. Yeah. No, I, that sounds legit. And Benjamin Watson is 34 and had his career high game last night. And, you know, he made some catches too. And they missed them. Breeze missed them on like a 40-yard or 30-yarder in the middle of the game. You know, it just fell apart for Atlanta last night.
Big time. And the silver fox. The silver hippopotamus. His defense looked all right. What do you got to say? You know, I am very entertained when he's fist pumping in that flopping silver hair. I believe they were what, the dead last and like points given up or something before the game. So it always helps to be at home. It always helps to be in New Orleans. They play really well there. We forget how. Last six games.
Oh, they had lost six in a row? Yeah. Well, I was going to say, we forget how well they used to play there. Oh, yeah. It used to be unbeatable there. It used to be a guarantee that you start and you can say, well, there ain't no at home. Right. So that's a pretty good start to, you know, get into the playoffs. So we want to focus on injuries in the fantasy world. What's going on in terms of guys starting, sitting, you're going to need to make roster adjustments. There are also Sunday night and Monday night games where, you know, I'm facing, you know, there's news about.
Dionne Lewis right now. He's probably fine, but okay, what do I do if he doesn't play on a Sunday night? Do I sign somebody from that game? Do I sign somebody from the Monday game? And so, you know, because we don't talk about Back to the Future, we'll go ahead and do an in-and-out segment with Marty McFly here. What's it going to pay McFly? Are you in or out? All right. Andrew Luck, is he in or out? He's in. I think he's going to play this week. What's the story? Josh McCown's hurt? Well, he had an ankle injury, but he's going to play. Tyride Taylor?
I'm going to say out. Out, yeah, doubtful. He looks out. Carlos Hyde. I think he's in. Latest report on him is that they just limited his reps. And I think Reggie Bush is out, by the way. Just in four set. That's tough one. I think he plays. Yeah, I'm going to say in as well. T.D. Hope he's not. It's an ankle injury for Foreset. Just so you do.
Why do you hope he's not? Because I'm playing Mike this week who has Justin Forset. Just wanted people to understand you didn't have like a vindictive. Nope, I love Justin Foreset. He might be about the same age as Ben Watson. T.J. Yeldin. Drawing injury, game time decision and I don't think he plays. I'm going to say yes. Yeah, I'm going to say yes. Yeah, I'm going to say yes. Yeah, I'm going to say yes. Yeah, I'm going to say yes as well. I think they need him to play too much. Dionne Lewis. Yeah. Yeah, it's always scary when guys who, guys show up on the injury port.
Midway through a week, meaning something happened. But yeah, I'm going to go in. Isaiah Crowell. Hold on, hold on. I'm checking Crowell. Demarius Thomas. In. ODB. In. But you've got to prepare. I think he's out. That game's a Monday night game. It'd be nice if you had Ruben Randall on your bench or if you have to, Dwayne Harris, Shane Vereen. If you can flex out, ODB, then it gives you flexibility.
Well, Ruben Randall's a little hurt, too. He got upgraded to full today, though. Oh, that's right. That's right. Yeah. And the note for Crowell, I think he's going to play, but it's also believed to be the sensational debut of Robert Turbin. Oh, wow. That's exciting. It could eat the crow's carries, though. Yep. All right. I'm sorry, I had to pause because Turbin hadn't, that's like the yard per carry average for him. Well, but here's...
This is what I'm hearing on Cleveland. They're going to do a bicep contest. Okay, he wins. Whoever has the biggest biceps is the run. Alshan Jeffrey does he play this week, finally, finally, finally. I think this is the week. I'm going to say out because history says that I've been wrong when I keep thinking he's going to be in. Randall Cobb. In. Golden Tate. In. Mike Wallace? That one's tough. I think he plays. Me too. In.
James Jones. In. In. John Brown. In. T.Y. Hilton. In. Alan Hearns. He keeps showing up, but I think he plays. Yeah. Showing up on injury. Eddie Royal. I think he's going to miss. Yeah. With the ankle injury. I can agree. But we'll see what happens with practice today. Stevie Johnson. Out. Devante Adams. Out. Sammy. Sammy Watkins. I intercepted an email from Sammy Watkins, too. Sammy's not happy.
And he had a point. Me and Mike were reading this yesterday. He basically said the bills are making me look bad because you traded, you drafted me super high. If I could get the targets that a Julio Jones is getting, or he even said specifically, he's like, just give me 10. Like, Julio gets 15. Now, give me 10 targets. I'll have a hundred and a touchdown. I'll perform for you, making yourself look bad. You're making me look bad. I don't know how productive that kind of a statement to the press is, but. Generally, I don't agree with the whining, but he's right.
You can't move up. You can't trade an extra first-round pick to move up just a couple spots for a wide receiver and not target him heavily. It's ridiculous. He is their best offensive playmaker. But in the bill's defense, he's also been super injured. You know, this whole year he's been limited. That's true. And he hasn't been able to practice. You want to get targets. Why don't you, you know, practice?
