Mike's talking first. Oh, what does that mean? That means I'm running the show. Thank you for joining the podcast, the fantasy footballers podcast. Usually Andy, Mike and Jason just today, Mike and Jason. My nemesis, as I will call him, is no longer here as he kicked me out of the playoffs. That's a very good point. There could be some speculation among the foot clan.
Of the reason for Andy's disappearance. Look, we have no idea where he is. And no one can find him. Um, that could, that could be related to, uh, a play loss, a big fantasy football loss. It may not. Yeah. Some people go on tilt. Some people go cray cray. And when they're, yeah, on tilt, we do things that sometimes we don't feel proud about. Sometimes we don't even remember doing them. Yeah. No, he is, uh,
Andy is fine. He has lost his voice a little bit. See, in Arizona, winter has come. Okay, I'm talking, I'm talking, you don't even know what winter is like until you've had it in the 40s. We went, well, we went from 90s to 40s in the matter of a couple days. 48 hours. I've heard we're 8 to 10 degrees under what we're supposed to be, or what's the average. Incredible. So, as I said, the fantasy footballers.
podcast, the Wednesday edition. We got Pump the brakes. The spectacular O'Reilly Auto Parts pumped the brakes. We got some mailbag. We're going to talk about the Thursday night football game. We need you to head over to the fantasy footballers.com. That's part of our home base. We got articles going up all the time. We just got the snap count article, the weekly snap count article. This is fantastic information for looking towards the future. It's such a good article to look at the trends of.
Who is actually playing more and more, you know, you look at the box score and you see catches or carries. And sometimes that's not the whole story, but that article is great. If you're not reading that every week, you're missing out on a great trend setter. That greatly alludes to my pump the brakes because if you follow the box score, you think, oh, well, things might be okay for this guy. But then you look at actually how much he played in some weird circumstances. Well, is it time to get in? Sure, we're going right into that? Let's do it.
Oh, oh, oh, O'Reilly. O'Ride. Auto parts. Oh, all right. We had a two-man that. That was, we didn't really know what was going. We locked eyes. We made it through. I, you know, I'm so impressed by you and your wit here. Okay, I'm going to, I'm going to just throw out Andy's because Andy did get in his pump the brakes. He wants to let people know.
Before his mysterious disappearance. Yes, before his mysterious disappearance where, you know, look, people, you need to go on Twitter and try to find Andy Holloway. You know, where in the world? Say we have a full Carmen San Diego situation. For sure. He, but before he mysteriously disappeared after beating me. Not related. He unrelated. If you're a police officer, completely unrelated. But he wanted to tell people, pump the brakes.
on Ted Ginn Jr. Because whenever a guy goes back to back, big weeks, and last season, Ted Ginn was very reliable. Shockingly, he got those down-the-field passes. But the reality is he has single-digit performances in the preceding nine weeks to that. He is not a reliable asset. I believe they play Seattle? Very not good for your wide receivers. It's very not good.
You don't need to go pick up Ted Ginn, and you certainly don't need to play him. Yeah, the thing about Ted Ginn is because Calvin is back, Ted Ginn kind of worked himself into being, you know, he was on the field a ton last year. You didn't just have to bank on that one 80-yard bomb for a fantasy performance from Ted Ginn, but that's what we've returned to. We've returned to the norm. Yeah. So the entire Panthers offense has basically returned to the norm. Who's your pump the brakes?
I'm going with Kobe Fleener. Oh, man. Look, you're going to want to play him. I want to play him. It's Detroit. It's at home. The stars are aligned. George Clooney and Marky Mark seems like the tickets are booked. Man, this is a tough pump. You want to play him. I do. I look at this and I say, I think you can play Kobe Fleener this week. You're telling people hold off on those feelings. I'm just.
I'm very concerned. And here's why. We have Brandon Cooks in this weird anomalous game where Brandon Cooks has always had at least three targets. He was not even targeted. And he's come out and he's voiced his displeasure with being inactive in the offense. Kobe Fleener was in for 24.3% of snaps. That is re.
ridiculously low. And the reality is that's kind of been the trend. He has not been moving down. He has been moving up. Josh Hill. Right. However, Josh Hill is moving up, I think, more in running situations. And Kobe Fleener still leads, I believe, in target routes run from the side. And that's fun. That's just, that's why I'm pumping the brakes here because I'm.
I'm not 100% sure what to make of this situation where the snaps percentage just keep going down. Sure. While Josh Hill's involvement is going up, the Brandon Cook's anomaly, he'll be back. He'll be back this week. So I'm just saying there might be a better option for you, even on your waiver wire than Kobe Fleener. So who do you got? My guy. Oh, come on. Oh, yeah. You know it. Oh, come on. Oh, I love this. This was my favorite pump the break of the season.
This is a spite. It's not just spite. Look, Devante Adams, Devante Adams certainly crushed me this week. And I don't, I'm not happy with him right now. And look, I'm not saying that he's going to mysteriously disappear. Okay. Like Andy Holloway, who used Devante Adams to crush my hope and dreams in the league of record of a back-to-back championship. But here's the reality.
Devante Adams, he made some incredible catches this last week. He had five for 113 yards and two touchdowns. That is phenomenal. But he only had six targets in the game. And it is very, very rare for a six target game to be the type of game that ends up 5113 and 2. That few of targets in a game,
Now you look towards the future and you say, okay, well, he just had a monster game. Is he going to blow up again? Is he the new number one? Is he the guy there? Well, this coming week, he plays Houston, which is terrible for wide receivers, and he follows that up with Seattle, which is worse for wide receivers. Those two matchups, when you're only getting six targets, all I'm saying...
Look, I've got rosters where I will still be playing Devante Adams if I don't have, you know, a better option. But I am saying this, this, you know, huge, monstrous game that he had, and he's had several this year on the season, he's been a valuable wide receiver. But he is not going to be filling the box score up the way that he did this last week on six targets against two of the best defenses against wide receivers over the next two weeks. So I'm just saying, whoa, Nellie, pump.
The brakes. It's fair with the Houston and Seattle coming up. But Adams has been getting it done with low catch volume in the last couple of weeks. So there we go. The pump the brakes. We got Kobe Fleener, Ted Gin Jr. Devante Adams. Like I said, that was the pump the brakes with O'Reilly auto parts, better parts, better prices every day from O'Reilly. Let's jump into some news. Or not because we seem to be muted over here.
Good, great job, Andy number two. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's try it again. Nope. Nope. We've seen to have lost the sound of X-Channel, so do-dood-do-do-do-do-do-do do-do. Jump in. News and notes from around the league. News and notes. Jordan Matthews has been diagnosed with a sprained right ankle, but he's expected to play against the Bengals in week 13. Are you confident in Jordan Matthews? Yeah, I mean, the Bengals defense has not been.
has not been great. I think you've got to watch how he practices this week. You don't want a guy with a right ankle sprain, but to me he is, if he's practicing on Thursday in full, then I would start him against the Bengals. This could be possibly with the show being only 50% verified. But that could be the situation. I think, hold on, hold on. All right. News and notes from around the league.
I am so proud. I don't know what happened. You know, this is something we should have brought up. Why are you hosting the show as an unverified person when the verified party really? If we talked about this, I'm a man of the people. I should really be the one leading the charge. You think the sound wouldn't have worked if I was on that side of the best? I'm draining the swamp here. I'm taking the elites. I'm knocking them out. I'm joining the revolution. All right.
Tyrao Williams. Tyrao Williams. You go. Yeah, his shoulder injury is a right labrum issue. That's just, again, something to monitor. It's never good. He can play through it. He played through a similar injury in college. But these kind of things, they limit your mobility. We saw Randall Cobb last year dealing with a shoulder injury all year. So it can limit you. But Tyrell Williams is, I mean, he's been fantastic.
Yeah, he really has been. And pretty consistent through the whole entire year. I will say, Don Trell Inman, maybe a guy you pick. No, I don't. I don't pick him up. No. To me, Don Trell Inman, look, he had a monster week this last week. And he had a monster week. When was it? Like week three or four. I mean, it's not like this is a trend. If you look at all the weeks in between where he has been the one guy who's not been injured for him and he's been out there playing every single week.
And he's had two of 12 weeks where they've been big weeks. I'm going to go ahead and play the odds on that, that he's not going to be the guy that I can start on a regular basis. That's fair. Here's some news that is really upsetting, sad, but completely not surprising. And that is that the Cardinals coach, Bruce Ariens, revealed John Brown is still experiencing leg problems related to his sickle cell trait. That is...
Yeah, that's clearly hampering him. I mean, that's bad news, obviously, for John Brown. I would say that is good news for the future, though, of John Brown that you have a dynasty-wise. Yeah, well, a guy, I mean, John Brown looked primed. He looked ready for a breakout. I had him really as my breakout guy. I was looking at the trends of the careers between Antonio Brown and John Brown and the skill sets and the size and the speed and the routes and all those things. And I have-
