Too bad. Yeah, Thursday, February 6th, Mike and I, we have it on lockdown rookie review show today. We'll talk about a few of the names that came up during the truth, but really just about the whole rookie class. What took place this year, some historical context, how I think this is very helpful for the Dynasty Keeper League player, getting to kind of see how we project these.

with us drafting sad movie memories? I have... Because that made an impact on me. We had to relive like 12 to 15 of the saddest movies of all time on into the night. Yeah, I left work yesterday feeling like I was in a fight. You know, like I had fought a large man and lost. I think that's why Jason's not here. He's just been crying, crying continuously. Probably.

That's the thing about going to the, I mean, now we're just talking about spitballers, but when you go to that verge, the edge of crying, but you don't actually cry, that's worse. It's like a, when you, when you have to sneeze, but the sneeze doesn't come out. That's right. Except it is magnified by at least 300. So you just, you feel the whole day of like, man, I really should have, I should have cried. I held it back. And now I just feel like crap. Yeah, you didn't get that release.

Correct. So I think like we, Jason went home and he tried to watch Braveheart. So maybe he was trying to get his cry on at the end of that. and all of the championship swag, if you want to show off, if you want to brag about your illustrious title from last year. Here's a quick question for the day. There was a player we didn't talk about on the tight-in truth episode that we probably should have, but maybe by not talking about him, it says a lot. But Brooks wants to know what's the truth about Hunter Henry? All right, Hunter Henry.

This past year played in 12 games, 55. Oh, yeah. 55 receptions, 65 yards, five touchdowns. Had a stretch from week 6 through 11 where he was very good. He was a beast. But, I mean, you had one game the whole year that he qualified as a great fantasy tight end. That game was great, though. His injury history is huge, right? I mean, he's had an issue in each of the past three years.

And I'm sitting here just looking at this career for Hunter Henry. And he's a free agent now. But you're talking 478 yards, 579, 652, eight touchdowns to four to five. Is there a point where you're just moving on from Hunter Henry, Hunter Henry's potential? Not me. You're not? No. Oh, I think I'm done so. See, I totally understand.

wanting to be done, just the injury history of missing an entire season with an ACL. I mean, getting hurt seemingly every single time, every year that he has played. But I think that he is a great tight end. So I'm not just going to completely move on from that because we have seen guys, they're injury prone until they're not. Hunter Henry could move on to a different team.

To his credit, to talk about it, L.A. has had a hard time keeping people healthy. I'm not, I can't speak to the doctors on their staff or the way that they're training their sports medicine. But them seemingly like Washington, they just can't keep people healthy. The hard part gauging the truth, though, is just he's a good player. He's a great tight end. He's a good blocker. He's a good pass catcher. But you don't know where he's going to be next year.

Even if he's back in L.A., you don't know who his quarterback is going to be. His range of outcomes is so large at this point. Exactly. So I'm not asking you to retire Hunter Henry. I'm asking you to retire his potential for fantasy owners because for three consecutive years, it hasn't paid out. It's kind of where I'm at. And then you mix in the variables. Like, if he was coming back to L.A. with Philip Rivers, who, you know, isn't in decline.

it's a different story for me from a predictability standpoint because you still had what seven weeks from week six on that he was a really good tight in for your fantasy team and like you said I think he's a talented player but at the tight in position you kind of can get stuck in this place of oh this will be the year this will be the year and I guess I'm just not willing to take on the new court because it'll be a new quarterback no matter what it might be a new team I'm not sitting there going Hunter Henry's going to get hurt every year

But I think Hunter Henry is probably going to be a 50 catches, 70 target 550 yard guy for the rest of his career. Depends where he goes. I mean, he could, someone could throw the bag at Hunter Henry and say come be a focal. You think? I do. I really do. His yards per game has gone up every year except for 2018 when he missed the entire year. But I really, really believe in the talent of Hunter Henry.

NFL teams take, they will take the chance on a guy who seems injury prone. Well, Brooks put in some dynasty this or that questions with Hunter Henry. And I am, here's the spoiler. I'm taking not Hunter Henry on all four of them. Austin Hooper, Evan Ingraham, Darren Waller, Mark Andrews. Are you taking Hunter Henry in a dynasty league over any of those four? Probably not. It feels like Hooper would be the one to think about, but I'm not going to do that. Hooper's tough because.

I mean, he's also a talented pass catching tight-in, but he was a product of his offense. And what's the probability that that sustains or goes down? The probability of his opportunity going down, I think, is greater than him remaining an elite fantasy tight-in. But Evan Engram, you could say the same thing about his injury history, but will it ever...

Will it ever happen on a full year for Evan Engram? I mean, I don't know. I don't know. And Darren Waller, his breakout was at a much older age than we are used to for a tight end. Was that just a flash in the pen? We've seen seasons like that from tight ends, especially, like Tim Wright. You remember Tim Wright? Yeah, barely. Tampa Bay, right? Yeah. So one of the things as I was getting ready for the rookie show,

I took a look back at the historical context of what it looks like to be a top, have a top fantasy season for a rookie since 2011. Tim Wright has the second best fantasy season as a rookie tied in. And that dude just disappeared and he vanished into the clouds. You want to know something shocking? I know you got shocking stuff coming, but I got something for you right now. Hunter Henry is younger than Evan Ingram. Yes.

That is shocking to me. Henry is, that's part of it. His breakout age was so young. They're both 25. So you're right. It is about the destination and whether you can kind of, is the team bringing him into B.A. Centropiece. Right. Is he coming into a situation where the quarterback looks to the tight in position frequently? Because he's certainly a very talented guy, a possession type of guy and a red zone type of player too. I think he is more complete.

He's a more complete player than Austin Hooper. Is it asking a different question to say whether you would just be willing to go on that ride again versus like the possibility exists that he's good, but as a fantasy owner going on that ride for the last few years has been. It's been a bumpy one. I guess what I'm saying, to give actionable advice here, if I could buy Hunter Henry Lowe in a dynasty league, I would 100% be doing that right now.

Yeah. I will take the chance that he ends up somewhere that he's in a good situation. I can't guarantee he won't get hurt again. Yeah, but that's just anybody. Yep. All right. How old is he? What is Gordon Bombay looking like these days? Oh, man. And does it go back? Is he slick hair? Is he slick hair at Bombay again? I want you to guess his age. Ooh, Emilio? Yeah, because it actually surprises me. How old do you think? 62. 57. Oh, sorry, Emilio. He's going to be just fine. I hope. Yeah. Gordon Bombay coming back. All right, rookie review time. Let's start with the quarterback position.

Over the past five seasons, only three rookie quarterbacks have finished as a top 15 fantasy quarterback or better. That would be James back in 2015. He was the quarterback 13, just barely James. That's what I'm going to start calling him. Just barely James. Just barely worth starting this past week. 2016, that was Dak. He was the quarterback six. And then this past year, Kyler Murray, quarterback eight. And we talked about Kyler quite a bit on The Truth Show. Had a good year.
