It is Tuesday. It is Tuesday, May 12th. Days are hard. Good start. This is the Fantasy Footballers podcast. I'm Andy. This is Mike. This is Jason. I'm Ron Burgundy. Tom Brady will not be here.

Oh, no. Justice. Serving a suspension. What are your thoughts on that? That's what I was going to ask. How many games did you think he'd get and what are your, give me your two-minute take? Justice is served or is this over? Because this was split on Twitter. Half the NFL players were like, this is ridiculous. And then the other half were like, this is absolutely correct and he should get more. I think then we will fit that bill because if you're saying justice, I scream in justice and we'll fantasy face off here.

I thought it would be one game and just that's maybe a fine. But I absolutely think it was justice. I think four perhaps is a bit too much. But to me, it's Goodell. The landscape has changed so much since he screwed up the Ray Rice situation that now the Banhammer is going to be strong and heavy. And the Patriots got away pretty light when the whole SpyGay thing happened. So you're saying there's a makeup call.

It kind of feels like it is. And there's just numbers of people seeing things of the fumble rate of the Patriots is just so much lower. And it can't be just this one game is how I feel about it. It's like, what else don't we know? Yeah, it was a known. It was said in some of the reports. It was known from previous games. Players complained about it. The officials knew about it going into the game. So it wasn't, it wasn't.

Just that game for sure. So I don't disagree there. I feel like it's... Here's where I think there's rules that say the ball has to be this to this. The reason we have rules is so that everyone can have a standard format when they're going in. It's my best against your best, not me.

trying to skirt a couple rules. Yeah, but I mean, they have rules during the game of, you know, don't hold. And you hold on every play. You try to get away with it. If you get away with it, it's fine. You know, that is cheating. You're going, you're doing something that is against the rules every time you do that. But if you get away, it's fine. And so, you know, I agree with that. Exactly. He got caught. He got cheating. That's what you're saying is when you get caught cheating. You should be penalized. You should be penalized. But here is what I disagree with. I don't have any problem with.

with suspending Tom Brady for four games. But taking a draft pick away from the team. No, no, no. I mean, the report specifically came out and said that it completely exonerated Bill Belichick, the owners, the entire coaching staff, and the team and the organization that they found no evidence that they had any...

part of this at all. Think about another, give me another example. I can give you multiple examples of that happening. Of a multiple. Of one player doing something that gets them suspended in the team losing picks? Bountygate? Bountygate, Sean Peyton didn't have control. He got suspended for a year. That was a coach. That was a staff member. That wasn't a player doing something on the field. The buck stops at the top, baby. I mean, Aaron. Atlanta Falcons, they got a pick taken away for.

Piping in music. Aaron Hernandez murdered. He murdered somebody. Why didn't they lose a pick for that then? That'd be ridiculous. That had nothing. That had nothing to do with in the game. League integrity. I believe the report said that they felt Tom Brady gained a competitive advantage by what he did. If Aaron Hernandez went last Boy Scout on the field, they would have lost a draft pick. Thank you. I don't think they would have. Honest to goodness. I don't think they would have lost a draft pick. I'm, I think they would have lost a draft pick.

Some, you know, a lot of... You know what? At the end of the day, I said this. I would pay $1 million for game suspension of our quarterback. And a first round traffic for a Super Bowl. So, nice trade, New England. Well...

That's a good, that was the best first question I've ever asked. We still don't, we didn't even discuss the fantasy implications of any of that. Well, no, that'll come in news and notes. Four game. If you missed it during our discussion, a four-game suspension for one of the best quarterbacks in football on a team with several players that will be impacted. So will you downgrade either Rob Grancowski or Julian Edelman or Brandon LaFelle or Ligera Blunt? Yes and now. Well, Blunt won't be there for two games anyway. One. He's one. That's right. I don't think I change things very much for those guys.

And this is going off of Matt Castle, the guy who had not started a game at quarterback since high school, I think it was. He came in, and the Patriots are clearly fine with their next man up. Next man up, and the next guy is Jimmy Garoppolo. And we're going to see if he's got the ability to take over for Tom Brady. So this is actually a really good test for the team to know if they need to make any other preparations.

I think they play the exact same way. I don't, maybe they run a couple times more, but I, Bill Belichick is the ultimate cremogen of say, fine, you take my Hall of Fame quarterback. I'm going to throw more. I'm going to throw. I don't care. Because we are the Patriots on Bill Belichick. Well, Gronk, Gronk didn't shrink at all during the course of the suspension, so that will make it. He is still inflating. Did you guys see the video? No, I didn't. You didn't see the Gronk? No.

Gronk did a selfie video talking about deflategate, and it is the ultimate in Gronkowski of him talking about his biceps are not deflating. And, oh, you guys got to look it up. It is classic Gronk. So what does this do for Jimmy Gropolo? Let me ask that. Because I remember, there was this guy. I never thought I'd hear asked on a fantasy football. Look, I know it's borderline ridiculous. But there was a guy who was a very good quarterback. His name was Drew Bledso.

Anybody remember this? Come on, you cannot compare Tom Brady with Drew Bloods though. That's the big difference. You're saying Brady never finds the field again. You heard it here first. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying... Hold on.

Breaking News. What was that, Jason? Jimmy Garapolo is the new starter forever in the next Hall of Fame quarterback for your New England Patriots. Oh my gosh. If that happens, this is the greatest show we've ever done. Yeah, this would be the best prediction. But I'm not predicting that. I'm just asking, I'm just asking. Two quarterback leagues. Throw them out there. That's fine with me. You got four games of the starter of, you know, a team. And he's lit it up in the preseason, right? I mean, he looks good. He's got the weapons. He's got the team. And Matt Castle lit it up.

So he's a good, he's a good, I mean, think about this. We talk streaming quarterbacks a lot, right? You can draft Jimmy Garoppolo anywhere you want. I'm not streaming Jimmy Garoppolo. You don't think so? No. But I mean, it's nice of you to ask. I'll tell his family that he mentioned it. The problem with Garoppolo is I'm not drafting him at all, because I'm not playing him in week one. I'm not taking that risk. And then if he dominates in week one, everybody's going to be after him. He's going to be fabulous.

Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, I'll pass on the four games of Jimmy G. Yeah, I don't really down. And it could come down. By the way, I haven't even said what we're doing on the show. Do you realize that? We're talking about Tom Brady the entire show. No, we got our first mock draft of the offseason done. Yeah. And we're going to talk through the first few rounds of that and see where guys went, which is always exciting to see the first kind of lay of the land. We got our rankings, but now you see it played out. We had a bunch of guys get together mock draft. We each took a team. Mine's better.

I'll say it was my first mock draft victory of the year. Of course, of course. A couple more bits of, these aren't news, but they're notes. Yeah, I felt these were important to... Of course you did. They're ridiculous. All right, long-time Bears reporter. Oh, wow. Long-time Bears reporter. Dan Pompeii described Kevin White as easily the most impressive rookie-wide receiver he's ever seen walk through the doors. That's who I would want to be saying it. He's been there a long time. Reporters are generally fair.

Has he said this people? Are you being serious? Yeah, I feel like beat reporters do tell the truth. Yeah, beat reporters, I agree. And that's who this is. About their own team the first time they... Yeah. Yeah. Well, yeah. It's because he's such a long-time reporter. He doesn't remember last year. I don't know. I guess I've seen these hype trains with rookies a lot, but okay, it's better than the opposite, right? Yeah. Yeah. He's not having a hard time picking up the playbook and understanding rounds and things like that.

The report I liked even more than this one is the fact that he was moving around the formation. That's what I like. Kevin White in the slots. When you bring a new guy in and you're not like, hey, just go run nines. That means you're an integral part of the team. So I like that. ESPN Ravens reporter Jameson Hensley observed that first round pick, Rashad Perryman, caught the ball consistently well. I'm sure that was grammatically correct.

I don't think it's a surprise. I mean, I said this last... Yeah. One bad drop. Yeah, but it's like he had terrible quarterback play, and a lot of his drops in college were, you know, quote, catchable, but not really. I mean, it's not like, you know... It's like Cam Newton throwing you the ball catchable. Lower. But, yeah, I mean, I see what you're saying. Yeah, well, I mean, Perryman's got opportunity. He does. A whole lot of it. And when you run four-two-sixes occasionally, that doesn't hurt. And he'll be the number one on the team. That's why I think it's so important. Now, this note I actually care about.

Oh. Joseph Randall. ESPN Dallas, Todd Archer, predicts Randall will handle the bulk of the carries in the Cowboys backfield just like... Who was that? Who was taught that? DeMarco Murray? Oh, no, no, no. I didn't say that. But I did think Joseph Randall was the better play than DMC, which this means nothing other than speculation. But that's my... At least one other human being on Earth has the hunch of not drafting DMC ahead of Joseph Randall. So was that a Dallas reporter?
