Yeah, last year's stats, he had zero attempts for zero completions. And where did that put him fantasy-wise? Is that near the bottom half? He was tied with dead last. Somewhere in the bottom. Yeah, some Tim Tebow news. Always exciting to have some Tim Tebow news. He was once a very fantasy-relevant player, even though his completion percentage was not high. We call him a garbage man.

Who collects fantasy points? You're watching the game just weeping as you see your fantasy quarterback sitting at about two points until five minutes left in the fourth quarter and then he skyrocketed to 26. It was unbelievable how often he only played football in the fourth quarter. He just did not play. Well, he played terrible the first three quarters and then became Superman for five minutes. Yeah, and was very fantasy valuable for a while there.

the moving parts. And we're going to talk a little bit more about that today, so let's get into the news. News and notes from around the league. So much going on. We still have had a very active week, not quite to the same level of last week and the free agent frenzy was going on. But let's go ahead and walk through some of these. You guys let me know what you think. C.J. Spiller has found a new home. What do you make of C.J. Spiller to the New Orleans Saints? I found this move.

Shocking, as I was talking about last week that I really didn't think they had the money to do it. But the Saints have blown a gasket. What is going on on that team? They have hit a full-on reset wipe. We're changing our team identity. Which maybe it's a good thing. That's not what I'm talking about. It's an interesting thing to watch a team.

try and so desperately and so quickly in one offseason completely redesigned their team philosophy going from the Drew Bree's pass attack of him throwing for over 5,000 yards to getting rid of weapons, gaining run blocking centers, re-signing Mark Ingram, now signing C.J. Spiller. Why spend the money on Spiller?

when you've re-signed Ingram and you've let Pierre Thomas go. That's why? To save cat money. Well, I mean, I know you lost, you have Tavares cadet. You trade away the... It's just confusing to me how they're going to utilize Spiller in a way that is so far superior than a Pierre Thomas or what they can get with Cadet. Like, I just don't know what his role is going to be on that team. I'm just... I think they're going to use him not in a way that's superior.

to Pierre Thomas. I think they're going to use him exactly how they use Pierre Thomas, and his skill set is far superior. I think that we've all been excited foolishly for C.J. Spiller year after year after year because his talent, and you see how he can explode his quickness in space when he was young. And, you know, we were saying this whole offseason, it depends on where he goes.

Last week on this show, I said that what I care about most with C.J. Spiller is that he goes into a system that fits his style, that gets him in open space, and I love him in this system. Two years ago, Pierre Thomas led the league in receptions. He led the league. If...

From the running back position, he led the league. And if C.J. Spiller gets open in space and has that many opportunities, he's going to be putting up a lot. I mean, not so much in standard leagues, but in PPR, he's going to be huge. Let me give you my one kind of worry or counterpoint to that, okay? He is in a position where I'm looking at him performing more like Reggie Bush last year with the Detroit Lions than I am.

With Reggie Bush, last year or the year before? No, last year where he was in a situation where he was almost sharing that third down roll. But he was sharing that third down roll because he couldn't stay on the field. I think when you have Travarez Cadet and they like him, you might see some splitting of that. I think this speaks heavily to that they really don't care for a cadet. So what is the ceiling for C.J. Spiller on the Saints? It's really, really tough because...

If he comes in, like Jason's talking about, right into this Pierre Thomas mold, then he has a great ceiling. But the team, we don't know what they're doing. They're transforming. So, I mean, if they're going run heavy with, and they're going to put it on Ingram, I think they saw last year that they can't put everything on Ingram. He's a, he, he's ready for the workhorse role.

except he can't. So he won't be able to sustain that the entire year. So they brought in someone's lives like CJ Spiller. I think they got rid of Pierre just because of age. They saved, I don't think they saved money swapping the contract out for Spiller. But it just had to have been an age thing and they had a chance to bring in an explosive. Upside play. Young playmaker who has a similar skill set and kind of replace him for

for future years. So I would put Spillers ceiling right now low end RB2. Low end? That's his ceiling? Yeah, that's what I would imagine is the... That's how I will draft him right now in the middle of March. That's how I'm going to be drafting. Let me ask you guys this.

If he just gets the same amount of touches that Pierre Thomas got in 2013, let me give you these. 2013, right, because Pierre Thomas, I think, fell off last year. That's why they let him go and replaced him with a talent. I think they want to use him in the role that they were successful with. So that's why I'm using these numbers. Pierre Thomas in 2013 got 147 carries and 77 receptions. So if you get CJ Spiller on the New Orleans Saints offense,

The ball 150 times on the ground and 75 plus times in the air, where do you see that? I think that ceiling puts them at the top end RV2 to me. Almost what we saw Sproles produced for them a little while ago. My concern is the catches. I don't know if he can really be as effective in the passing game as a Darren Sproles or a Pierre Thomas. He's obviously, he has the capability and he's great in space.

but his health plus the potential for catches has me wondering what they're doing there. And I have to look at last year, you know, Thomas, you say he dropped off. Well, maybe that's the case. But I think you also saw the difference in the offense, right? Where it was less passing-orientated early-down situations where Breeze would be throwing early. They're going to be maybe running more often now. But that would be interesting. You see, what does Drew Breeze lose?

this offseason right now. Well, and we didn't even talk about Kenny Stills. They traded, that was part of what we're saying, where there's getting rid of everybody. Yeah, Jimmy Graham's gone. Kenny Stills is gone. They traded a player who has a really, really high efficiency rating, great hands. He runs a, and he's got speed. He runs a great nine route, but he's also growing his route tree, and Breeze seemed to have...

great chemistry throwing the ball to him. And he was, I think, a fifth round pick. I mean, he's super cheap for who he is. And you trade him, they trade it up. I believe they got a third round pick. So they, if you're looking at, I guess that, you know, by low, sell high type stuff in a draft class that is allegedly the...
