What is going on, everybody? It is Tuesday. It is July 5th, and we are the fantasy footballers. We are back again with yet another fantasy football podcast. I'm excited. I'm thrilled. Mike, Jason. It's just getting closer and closer. I feel it. Everywhere I go, more fantasy football is being talked about. I feel like we haven't recorded a show in a few days. It's been true. Hey, you feel that way? Real quick. I need to see everyone's hands. I want to make sure there's no Jason Pierre-Paul.

2:17 ↗

incidents in this room. No, no. Got all my fingers. My two-year-old was able to successfully handle a sparkler. I don't know what happened with Jay Zapier-Ball. I'm sure it wasn't a sparkler, but... No, I heard and read today on various... News networks? Yes, that's what I was going to go with, that he tried very hard to avoid any type of police, fire, emergency services.

2:43 ↗

Anything. And then you heard the Giants pulled. I heard that... It won't matter. I'm telling you right now. I'll make the prediction right now. It won't matter at all. He'll get signed somewhere for a big deal. Yeah, that's fine. He's going to have Moses. But yeah, when you lose $60 million firecracker, I mean... A lot of people get hurt. A lot of people get hurt. Ouch. Safety first people. Yeah, there was another guy that... Well, I won't even go there. But let's just say he tried to light a bunch of fireworks on the top of his head. Alcohol may have been involved. Yeah.

3:11 ↗

All right, welcome to the show. We are back again. It is Tuesday, July 5th, and we got the NFC South. Woo-hoo! Going over the NFC South today, we got some mailbag questions. Got some news and notes in the fantasy world. If you want to follow the show, you can do so on Twitter. At the FF Ballers. Jason, how do they follow you? Well, they can follow me at Jason FFL. And you can follow me at Andy Holloway, and that's pretty much.

3:37 ↗

All we need to talk about there. Thanks, everybody. Oh, no, I'm just kidding. Fantasy Hitman. At FF Hitman. You can visit the website, the fancy footballers.com. I've been doing a lot of work on there. We're adding new articles. We're adding new sections. We have a YouTube channel now. We get so many questions from listeners, and we want to answer as many as we can. So it's funny that you bring that up because the top question I receive is we want to see. It's not even really a question as a statement. Their demand.

4:07 ↗

They want to see my face. That doesn't seem likely. Yeah. I haven't heard that. Because it comes to my private Twitter. I don't have bought you a paper bag that you have yet to wear. Didn't somebody think that you would be a fat Italian guy? That's true. They wanted to see your face because they were like, man, I thought you'd be some fat Italian. I had to put that theory to shame and show I am a handsome man. We got a good show tonight. Let's go ahead and read a review.

4:40 ↗

Review Osaurus Rags. This one comes in from Def Mutant. He says it's the illest FFB podcast in the land. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. This is what he reviewed. He said, if you are looking for top-notch fantasy football advice presented in an informative and fun way, this is the podcast for you. I've listened to them all and the ballers are tops, period. You better check yourself before you wreck yourself. Thank you, Def Mutant.

5:08 ↗

Thank you. Thank you for that review. We appreciate all the iTunes reviews. It really helps the show. You can also leave us a review on Stitcher if you're listening on Android devices. That would be much appreciated. One of the things I like about the reviews isn't necessarily the pat on the back, but I like the people who are both entertained and informed. They know that they're getting the best fantasy football content that they can get. And they enjoy listening to it. Yeah. We're not just here firing off guns and

5:38 ↗

clown noses and... Yeah. Or just droning on about stats, right? We want both. We've listened to podcasts for years. Yep. Yeah. All right. Let's get into some of the news. News and notes from around the league. You're laughing at me. Oh, you'd seem so disappointed. I am a little disappointed. We'll get to that later. Let's talk about the Chargers. Antonio Gates. This is so sad. I thought he was a role model.

6:08 ↗

Not anymore. He's done. Four game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs. Also known as PEDs. Womp-womp. Fantasy implications. Antonio Gates, the ageless Antonio Gates is now off the field for at least the first four games of the season. Ladarius Green. Free Green. Free him. Finally. Finally. Is this when we find out he's never going to be anything? This would be that time, for sure.

6:35 ↗

But the question is, will he be anything? Because he is a freak. He is physically gifted. He's talented in the times he's on the field, but he's never on the field. So what do you think, Mike? I would absolutely take the late round flyer on Lederius Green. Roll them out there for a few weeks. Would you take him over Eifert or? No. No, not any of that. But if I miss out on the targets, like an Ertz or Eifert, and then I'm just picking out of the trash heap.

7:01 ↗

Sure, I'll try at La Darius Green. Why not? Antonio Gates has been extremely productive with Philip Rivers. He plays in the slot a lot, and those targets are missing, and Laderie's Green could fill the void. You know who I think this helps? Danny Woodhead. I really do, because on third downs for Philip Rivers, it's always been, he's got his go-to guy, and it's always, you know, for years, either that dump-off.

7:27 ↗

or the tight in. And so I think that, you know, just getting, this is going to help Danny Woodhead come back, who I'm very high on. Another guy that is in the mix there now, and Eddie Royal just had a great season in San Diego, and we haven't talked about Stevie Johnson enough. He's coming over. Not enough, yes. No, he can play in that slot. He's going to have opportunities with Keenan Allen and Malcolm Floyd as the other two wider series. So what do we think of Stevie Johnson? Same thing. We don't know if it's going to be green, who's going to fill the need in the slot. If it's Stevie Johnson,

7:57 ↗

All signs say that Stevie Johnson is still good. If you look at the stats of Colin Kaepernick's passerating to him when he was in San Francisco, he was coming off of huge years in Buffalo. I think that Stevie still has it. He just hasn't got an opportunity to really show it. One thing I want to say too is generally speaking, sometimes we get emails in from people and they're like, why are you so low on Owen Daniels? Okay. Or like Brandon Cooks or somebody and they say,

8:24 ↗

Part of why some of those guys get ranked where they do right now in July is because we don't know what their role is going to look like. That happens with a lot of the transitional type of players. I mean, Stevie Johnson, we don't know what his role is yet. When we don't have, you know, they've been in OTAs and they've been in minicamp a little bit, but we don't have preseason games. We don't have an understanding of the depth chart perfectly yet. So those guys kind of linger, I think, at least in my rankings, they kind of like are in a hazy middle.

8:50 ↗

place on my rankings, and I can't jump them up until I have a reason to do it, other than blind speculation. So these guys that have roles that we already know where they're at, they're the guys at the top of the rankings a lot of the time. All the more reason, don't do your drafts yet, unless it's a dynasty league. Don't do your drafts yet. No, no. Actually, that was going to be my quick question for the day was, when is it too early officially to draft, and then when is it too late? Well, yes, yeah. When is the, oh, let me ask it this way. When is the earliest you would permit a redraft?

9:20 ↗

The earliest that I would like a redraft, I could see the case made for right before preseason, but I don't like that. I like it right in the middle of preseason, personally. I like it after week three. After week three? We've done that a few times. No week three in the regular season. Then I know who's good. We actually did, I believe we did a draft a couple of years ago that was on the night of the final preseason game. Our draft started right after.

9:50 ↗

uh yeah Andre Williams yeah that his name yep and no no no no it was the guy it was it was Andre Brown yes yeah Andre Brown yes Andre Brown broke his leg in the game right before our draft and we were like who knows about it oh man so that was that was quite the time yeah so and obviously that's why we say don't draft too early because I mean players get injured in the season they change a lot

10:15 ↗

All right, let's move on to news from the Packers. Andrew Corliss was arrested on Saturday morning after allegedly firing a gun twice in an altercation. I just read today on pro football talk that they are keeping him on the roster. He will not be cut. Any fantasy implications here? I mean, him, Richard Rogers, nobody's been productive in that spot for that team since to Michael Finley left against as well. Before this news, I prefer Rogers.

10:44 ↗

to Rogers. I prefer that combo over Corlis. And so maybe it gives... This doesn't help Corlis at all in your mind. I don't think it's going to help Corlis, even though he's shown that he can shoot a nice gun. Yeah. The hammer's coming. You think? Yes. Yeah.

11:02 ↗

Yeah, you ever heard of Plaxico? You cannot get away with this anymore. Put those guns away. All right, out of Seahawks camp, this was interesting news. You sent this to me right after I actually saw it. This could just be fluff, but it was worth reporting. Well, it kind of makes some sense, but Seahawks reported Terry Blunt says that Christian Michael is likely on the roster bubble. Yeah, and that's crazy to us. Yeah, that seems so weird. I, you know.

11:29 ↗

He's had plenty of time to really show who he is. Exactly my point. He should have earned his way onto the field, so maybe he's not as good as his athletic measurable show. You've seen Robert Turbin play football. I mean, Robert Turbin is, he's not special in any areas, but he's reliable, he's consistent, and he's made, he's on the field. Yeah, but is anybody going to play their way in front of Marshawn Lynch? Not in front of him, but he should be the backup by now.

11:54 ↗

If he's got electric stuff and he's this, you know, three years of being in camp getting talked up in preseason, yada, yada, and he still can't pass protect and he still can't catch the ball? He's just not a compliment back. He's kind of more of a replacement. And he could be a Michael Turner guy. He could be a guy that goes somewhere else and gets the opportunity and turns into what Michael Turner was for. I think what happens is every time Michael makes the case, turban flexes and his biceps just shred his jersey. And everyone is so shocked and amazed like, that guy has to play.

12:22 ↗

That's clearly what's going. In other words, Google Robert Turbin. Have you seen those biceps? Yeah. All right. One more bit of news. One more bit of news. Jason's going to look it up right now. One more bit of news out of Giants camp. Andre Williams is expected to be the Giants goal line back. That is the report out of camp and from the beat riders. Robert term has very large biceps. I told you. That's good. Robert.

12:44 ↗

If you're listening, congratulations on your workout. His biceps are the MJD thighs of the bicep the world. Yes, he has a career in bodybuilding after this. Wow. But I like the Giants news. What we're saying, Andy. The Giants news about Andre Williams, where because with that, that backfield is very murky right now. We're not exactly sure what's going on with Jennings, adding Varee. I think we got a decent idea. You do? What's going to happen? Please let me know because this is. I think you're going to see.

13:14 ↗

very little Andre Williams other than inside the 10-yard line. I think we can assume that. And I think you'll see first and second down work and third down work to Rashad Jennings. So he will be 1A, and I think Vareen will be 1B, and he will get drives. I think Vareen will get drives. I think that will be the complimentary thing. And then obviously Jennings will get her and Vareen and Williams will, no, we don't know about that. But that's been the historical pattern. But yeah, I think that's, if I had to project it right now, they invested in Vareen.
