So after all this crap, I'm talking about joick bell. I'm not saying that he won't be able to do things for you because the first half of the year, it's going to be the joick bell slowly working Abdullah in show. But Abdullah will take the... He will take the lead of the timeshare. So if you believe Mike, then draft joick bell. Use them up.

A $500 budget. Two years ago, I got him in the fifth round.

Last year I got him at the very beginning of the third. Now guys are saying that they're not going to let me get in without paying big bucks in a $500 budget league with about 30 people, 30-man roster, 10 starters. What's my do not exceed on bidding for Andrew Luck? Thanks. Keep up the great work. That's a heck of a question. He said this is a dynasty startup where they start where they got a 30-man roster.

Huge bench. First time they've ever done it. This might be the first time anybody's ever done that specific rule set. I have to admit my experience with a 30-manor roster. Well, and the $500 budget, too. $500. So I think we can give you some principles to help you out here, probably not give you an exact amount. First principle I'm going to tell you is they don't matter, okay? Because you said all those guys are probably going to try to keep luck away from you and...

They're probably playing that up. Well, if they overpay for Andrew Luck, they overpay for Andrew Luck. That's my first bit of information because they don't, you know, they're probably just trying to get you to overspend. So. Yeah, and I would say my first piece of advice is don't come in firing high. Still start at low. You've got to still take your time of incrementing by a dollar until you get to your threshold. And I would also say don't be the guy to introduce luck. Let somebody else introduce luck in your auction draft.

Okay, because if you bring them up in the beginning when everybody's got all the money in their pot, he's likely going to go for more than you want him to go for. And so we were looking at this earlier and we thought maybe, you know, in a 500 league, what do you think the number is? It's a dynasty, so it's tough. Yeah, Andrew Luck is very valuable. I mean, he's going to be around for 10 plus years and be great. If it's me, I'm capping around 100 bucks. Yeah. And that's high at a 500 with a 30-man roster. See, that's even...

that's too much probably but my question is then what does this league do for adding new rookies next year i mean what's your budgets and things because if we don't know that information is that if that all changes then i'm spending my 500 bucks i'm getting big time players on my team yep and maybe being so so this year and then just

crushing. Yeah, so I think that's the best we can do for you. You know, I haven't played in a league exactly like this or even close to it, to be honest with you. So I would say don't let them affect what you do with Andrew Luck too much. If you want him, I don't mind you paying a little bit more for the guy you want. It's a dynasty. I mean, you're going to get to watch them play every year, and that's a part of fantasy, is enjoying what you're doing. But, you know, they might be all talk and no walk. Make them spend the $200 in Andrew Luck if they really want to do it. So any other thoughts, Mike?

Nope. All right, let's hit the next one. Pittsburgh-related question. Makes sense. The addition to the wide receiver core for Pittsburgh of Sammy, what kind of impact will it have if he makes his way up to the third spot where I imagine Markavis Bryant will go to the second and, you know, if they aren't too high on Marcus Wheaton throughout the, I hope you guys did. What kind of impact will that have? Antonio Brown and the Markavis Bryant.

And will that move Ben Roposberger up to a top five quarterback option? Thanks, guys. Keep doing what you're doing. We will. We'll keep doing what we're doing. So what do you think about this question? Because I guess there are a lot of questions in there. Sammy Coates was drafted by Pittsburgh this year. Where does he fit on the depth chart? I think he'll be the four. I don't think, I don't really see any way he moves past Wheaton. I'm not a huge Wheaton guy as I'm a big Bryant.

believer, and we were looking at some numbers of rookie wide receivers from Pittsburgh. Pretty humbling. They're just not strong fantasy producers. Bryant had 26 catches. He had all the yards and the touchdowns, so that's where he became relevant. As a rookie, you're saying. 26 catches is a rookie. Yeah, these are all rookie years. Wheaton's six catches. Sanders, 28. Manuel Sanders, yeah. Tonyo Brown, 16. Mike Wallace, 39. He actually had a pretty good rookie year.

But I just don't see Coates having much of an impact. And he is more of a project. He has some things that he needs to get fixed by some coaching. He's very raw. Yes, but he could be really good. I agree with Tyler. Is that who? Yeah, that was Tyler. He doesn't like Wheaton. I think Wheaton feels capped, okay?

I think we've seen what Wheaton can do, and that's why Martavis Brian is surpassing him because he's got such a better value in the goal line situations, beating guys downfield. And Coates has the ability to take advantage of Rothersberg's arm. But your question about Rothersberger, it might be a year away to move him up because of Coates, to have that third guy. I think you'll see something similar to last year. And I actually have this. I do like Big Ben. I have a word of caution about Big Ben, and Andy never likes when I do this, when I take things away from players what they did.

If you take away his 95-yard touchdown to Martavis Bryant. If you take the two monster games out, which when you're averaging things, you generally have to take out a high and a low. But I'm saying the two monster games, which those aren't happening again. And if you're counting on those, then I have a bridge I can sell you from, to go of 1940s jokes. Yeah. Keeping it classic and hip. That's why we're clean. But if you, if those are just average games.

He's averaging 16 points a game. He's behind Joe Flacco. And right now he's in my 10 to 11 range. I don't think even if Coates becomes a factor, I'm not moving him up to top five. All right, let's bust through a few more of these questions. This one comes in from Twitter at Austin Boyt. He says, do you think Chris Matthews from Seattle will be relevant this year? It's possible. It is possible. The superstar from the Super Bowl, if you remember Chris Matthews, because what they can't take away from Matthews is that he's

six, five. Yeah, 220 pounds. And as he showed in the Super Bowl, the biggest game, the biggest stage, he can adjust to the ball, he can make plays. Unfortunately, Jimmy Graham can also do that, and he's now in town and has, he's going to be the big chicken compared to Chris Matthews. But I drafted Tyler Lockett.

Yeah, and they trade it up to draft him. I don't know how involved to be in the offense. He seems like more special teams type stuff to me. But Chris Mathy, he could. I'm not drafting him. He's a prospect by definition. But keep an eye on him for sure. All right, let's go to another email question from a different Tyler. If your name's Tyler, you get priority apparently on the show. All right, he has the six pick in a rookie draft, and he says he really needs RB.

It's a dynasty league, right? So, rookie draft, really in need of R.B. He's having a hard time deciding who he will take. He's guessing that Gurley Gordon, Cooper, White, and Parker will be gone. And so he's thinking, who does he go with here? Does he go with Amir Abdullah? Does he go with T.J. Eldon? Does he go with Green Beckham or Bashad Perryman or Tevin Coleman? Where do you go if you're him in that situation and you need running back? If I need running back, I guess decide between.

Abdullah, Yelden, and Coleman for him. I think I'm going to, I will rank them, ah, man, to me it's a floor ceiling type thing where Yeldon's floor is, it's still going to be much higher than Abdullah, even though I clearly am on the Abdullah Express, but when you're talking about risk, Yelden's risk is much lower, even though the offense is not that great, I think they're going to get better. If I'm taking a receiver there, I'm taking Aguilar. Yep.

Who he didn't mention. Yeah, so that's who I'd rather have. I mean, we like Paramen and those other guys, but Agilor's the guy if I'm taking a receiver. Yeah, that's a good answer. All right, on Twitter at Jay Zonin says he, did he do this trade? No, he's asking. He's asking, does he trade his seventh pick and Nile Davis for the 14th pick, the 8th pick of the second round, and Geo Bernard?

What do you do? This is a rookie, rookie draft? Yeah, and I think I do. I think Gio has much more impact to help me right now. There's going to be a gap between 7 and 14. But Nile Davis, he's a handcuff. That's what he is. And I don't think he's that spectacular of a player. When you look at what he really did last year, he had some moments, but...

He's okay. And Gio Bernard has, when he's going to get into his role because Jeremy Hill is going to be the downhill runner and Gio is going to be the gadget guy, I think he'll be better this year, and then you get two picks. Yeah, I'm going to agree with you on that. You just get more shots at the rookie draft. There will be a difference between 7 and 14, but Gio gives you some talent right now. Pretty fair trade. David Johnson. Oh, yeah, you'll be able to get him at 14 probably.

Everyone is saying RBs should be the one and two pick. Why? Cubies always score the highest. Is it a lack of good RBs? I'm glad you asked, Chris. We have lots of answer for this. Well, we're glad you asked and we're glad you answered your question. Lack of good RBs has a lot to do with it and it's position scarcity. And the QB...

is the most replaceable position week to week. Yeah, do not compare total points scored between positions, right? Because if, let's pretend all quarterbacks score 90 to 100 points, okay? Does that make them more important? Well, no, because if the worst quarterback scores 90 and the best one scores 100, the difference between the worst and the best is 10 points. And if running backs, the gap between the best and worst is 25 points, what's more important?

The running back. And you start two of them. Yeah, that's exactly. When you're looking just one to 24 of RBs, the point differential is a really big deal. But that's not a dumb question because this is something that people ask all the time. And I don't mind answering it. Yeah, people are always saying, QB score the most, they've got to go number one. No, nope. Position scarcity, difference between the good and the next guy down.
