Sterling Shepard, the rookie who will be manning the slot, and they're already talking about him being the number two wide receiver on the team. I love that. Shepard could be peppered with targets. Shepard could be peppered. Very nice. I'm drafting him because of the rhyme. Sterling Shepard's on our roster now, gentlemen. We're in the 12th round. Tony Romo has gone off the board. But my red.

141 passagesRocket, red rifle. Oh, man. Red Rocket, red rifle. Hey, he's my number seven quarterback to get him this late. Andy Dalton's still sitting there. We will get Andy Dalton with the eighth pick. Kia! Yeah, I'm not keying Andy Dalton. But that's an incredible value, right? I mean, you basically have a free Andy Dalton right there. Yeah, that's why we don't draft quarterback certainly. And so where are we? We're in the 13th round now.
Jason Witt and went right after Dalton. Eric Ebron's off the board now in the 12th round. So we could have waited and gotten Ebron. Funches, Blunt. We could have. Antonio Gates is one of my top targets. I have him. I'm much higher on Gates than you guys. I have him all the way at number five. Am I tight at number five? Who's left? How many draft?
spots do we have left because i was not the one who set it up i believe the default is six benches which means this is our last one more bench spot and then we got a defense and kicker so let's now let me throw this out there it's crazy but i'm throwing it out there i'm so high on marcos mariotta do you take a chance to see how he starts the season but then you're rostering two quarterbacks yeah with a six bench i don't mind it as much
Your alternates are like... But there's so many good flyers available. You have Sammy Coates. You got C.J. Pro Seis. You got Jeff Janice, Chris Hogan. I mean, there are so many guys here. It's hard to even choose one. Do you... Okay, so let me... You could also handcuff Sterling Shepard in a way with Victor Cruz. Because Victor Cruz... I'm just saying, if Victor Cruz comes back hot, then he's Victor Cruz and he's great. And if he is not able to get back, then Sterling Shepard will be great. And you cut Victor Cruz. So that's an...
It's something to consider. We already handcuffed Beckham with Shepard. That's exactly true. I don't need all the New York Giants. That's a good point. Let me tell you why I would take Marguess Marietta. Okay. Here's why. The last pick of your draft, your last bench spot position player, this is somebody who very oftentimes you're dropping to be active in the waiver wire the next week. What flyer are you going to get to see the earliest payoff on?
You know he's in the game. You know you'll see him early in the season. And you might see something different. New offense. You know how much I love the Titans, new offensive line, new weapons. You'll get to see that from Marioita. You can talk all about Jeff Janice. But, I mean, week one, are you going to see everything you need to see about Jeff Janice to know what the flyer pays off? Week one, are you going to see what you need to see from pro size to know what the flyer pays off? You'll drop those guys. I completely agree with that thinking. But the problem...
is the actual upside. Let's say Marriota hits. Well, we already have Andy Dalton, who is very solid? Then you have, who do we play? Trade bait. And you have zero trade bait if a quarterback hits in week one. Nobody's going to care. Nobody will care. Nobody will care. I think people will care. I think people will care. And I also, I do agree with the line of thinking of early season matters. I think it's a good argument.
For me, I wouldn't draft it just because of a guy who's on the board that I am in love with at a last pick type of value. Are you serious that Denard Robinson is still on the board? No. Kenyan Drake is a great guy. In fact, it's your argument of having to wait. The question, most people think he's just the third down guy and J. Ajai is going to be the every down guy. I disagree.
Week one will show us that. And if I'm wrong, then I've still got a great handcuff. Why not Darren Sproles? DeMarco Murray's gone. Darren Sproles is a PPR beast. Ryan Matthews, we don't even know how much of the workload is being handled. New coaching staff coming in with a super old veteran who's been rumored to have been possibly cut or traded already.
I don't have confidence that he's going to be used the way he's being used. So you like the upside of Drake with a Jaii situation? Yeah, that would be my pick if I was making it. Well, you are. I just selected him. Kenyon Drake, the last position player, and then I'll go ahead and, you know what? I'm going to unilaterally select our kicker in defense, guys. All right. And I'm going to take our kicker first. Hey, if Stephen Gaskowski's on the board, I got no problem switching up the order of...
kicker in defense. Any other kicker is not worth that. All right. Our defense, let's just grab one here. Which we got him. We got Gaskowski. I like the Vikings defense a lot. Really? Well, we just drafted them. That's why. All right. So that is it with our mock draft. I'm going to run back the roster real quick. Why don't want you guys do that? All right. Our starting roster, Andy Dalton, Mark Ingram, LaShawn McCoy, Odell Beckham Jr., Jeremy Macklin, Michael Floyd.
and Antonio Gates, and of course, the Vikings and Goscowski at the other positions. Our bench, Ryan Matthews, Kevin White, Gio Bernard, Josh Gordon, Sterling Shepard, and Kenyon Drake. Kenyon. Is it Kenyon or Kenyon? I think it's Kenyon Drake. All right. Kenyon Drake. So there is some glistening upside sitting on that bench. Looking at... It's an interesting team.
After this, looking at this, let's say we were to do a draft review of our own review, I would say you're a little weak on the bench for known commodities. We've got a lot of upside on the bench. Josh Gordon, Sterling Shepard, Kenyon, Drake, Kevin White. I like that we've got Ryan Matthews and Gio on the board, but I wish we had that Doug Baldwin pickback. If we had Doug Baldwin on this bench, I think this team would be really, really good.
I tend to agree. I like this team. I don't love this team. But I think we made a statement by taking McCoy early, which changed a little bit of the landscape of this draft. I don't know if I would have liked it more or less. That pick and the Baldwin pick were the big crucial ones in this one. But that is it for our mock draft episode. Thank you for tuning in. I am sad that we didn't really select any handcuffs.
Well, I was very happy to see Ronnie Hillman went undrafted, I believe. That makes your day? Yeah, it gives me a little joy inside. Yeah. So be sure to, this afternoon we've got an exclusive episode.
