2head.com to the fantasy footballers podcast coming to you from the fantasy jocks.com studios with your host Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Welcome to the podcast. Welcome to the show. I'm so excited to be here in One Piece. We're alive America. Andy Holloway, Mike Wright.
Jason Moore. Jason's welcome back to the show. I'm happy to be back. Double flush is back in the house. Best nickname ever. Welcome back. Really impressed with Jason and his fortitude, despite missing the show yesterday and the day before and being kind of in a half dead state for five days. He did show up at the Arizona Sports Complex yesterday for the
Foot Clan Combine event. Oh, yeah. Some people are saying, oh, he's not sick. He's just, he's training. He's training. When you watch the Combine, you will see a man who does not train. Anything. I refuse that. They come and they're like, did you stretch? I don't do that. You redefine the phrase, the proof is in the pudding. You're Randy Moss. You know, stretching is useless. Yeah. So we.
We are very excited. What I think was funny was everybody was like, where's the video for the combine? Like 30 seconds after the combine was over. This is like, we have to like scrub four cameras worth of video and edit the video so that it's presentable. But it's going to be amazing. It's just not. It'll be a couple of weeks, but it will be worth it. Let me tell you some things. We are not going to tell you results of any events. I will tell you.
All of the muscle groups that feel like they are broken in my body right now. I was going to say my quads and my hands. Yeah, what hurts the most, Mike? My quads and my hamstrings, the muscle tissue, I woke up. It's now replaced with jagged rocks and broken glass. That's what's inside of my legs right now. Right. Yeah. For some reason, I don't really know why my abs hurt very badly. My back hurts. My feet are literally on fire at all times. My feet are just.
I told Mike after I did the broad jump I didn't understand how this was possible I did the broad jump both my arms hurt really bad both my arms hurt really bad I don't know how but this is going to be a lot of fun you guys will enjoy it we'll share some pictures of the event here on Twitter and Instagram and stuff in the next couple days it was a blast it was a lot of fun and we had we had a camera crew out there and there's some funny
Funny stuff, I think. Yeah, there is. Some surprises for you as well. So welcome to the show. It's going to be a good one today. We've got a mailbag show. We're going to answer a ton of draft questions, keeper questions, head-to-head questions, ADP questions, whatever you have. We're answering it. This is all about the listener today. We're listening to your questions and we're answering them. So I also want to tease the episode we got coming out tomorrow. Very excited. Very exciting. Might be the best episode of the past decade.
in fantasy sports. That's a big proclamation. Tomorrow is the MVP episode. It's going to be the episode you can't miss this year. It sounded like you might be starting like a Trump speech there. It's going to be the best episode. Huge. Huge. We have, who do we have? We have Pat Mayo. We've got Jake Seeley. We've got Brandon Marion Lee. We've got John Paulson. We got Adam Azer. J.J. Zachar recent.
Chris Harris. I mean, there are a lot of names, and there could be even more filtering in as we speak. Yeah, so we're going to have, and then we're going to give our own fantasy MVPs tomorrow. And the great thing about the fantasy MVP episode is it's not just who's going to be the best. You know, you've got values. You've got, listen to next episode, and you're going to have pretty much just a wash of about a dozen different players that are, you know, experts saying, target this dude.
Yeah, it's going to be a great episode. That's tomorrow, and so I'm looking forward to it. All right, for the quick question today, excuse me, for the quick question, I've got a little game I want to play. I'm going to quiz you guys. This is an ADP guessing game. So average draft position, when you hear me say ADP, that's what I'm talking about, average draft position. This comes from Fantasy Football Calculator.com. I'm going to quiz you guys, and I want to tell you, I'm going to give you a spot in the draft and a player name.
And I want you to tell me if you believe that player is going higher or lower than that spot. Okay, so but there is no dead on. Well, you could, I'll probably have you guess, so you could end up dead on. Is that, no, I'm saying, is it either? Just higher or lower? It's just higher or lower. All right. So, Doug Martin, is Doug Martin going higher or lower? Are we in standard or PPR? I'll just. That's a good question. We're in the default ADP of standard. Okay, standard. Okay.
Is Doug Martin going higher or lower than the eighth pick of the second round? Higher or lower than the eighth pick of the second round? I'm going to say lower. I was going to also say lower. Okay. The answer is lower. Do you want to take a guess where? I will go 302. I'll go higher than that. No, you will take a guess. Oh, okay, okay. All right. I'll go 212. He's going 212. Booyah!
That was high volume there from Mike. He was very excited. Dead on balls accurate. All right. So you guys got that one. How about this one? We've got Matt Forte. Is he going higher or lower than the sixth pick of the third round? Higher or lower than the sixth pick of the third round? I'm going to say higher. Man. That's a good. I like that number. I've made mistakes by not having enough respect for people.
So I'm going to give them the respect and say lower as he should be. Matt Forte is going lower. He is going the 11th pick of the third round. Good job, people. What do you think of that place for Matt Forte? That's probably a good spot. No, that's still too high for me. All right. All right. Last one here for the quick question. So are you saying that like the fourth round guys, you know, the Matt Jones and those types? You want all of those over the Forte?
The forte. The forte? Likely. It's a likely situation, yes. All fourtees, right? Like Will Forte, Matt Forte? Oh, yeah. I'd love to get Will Forte on my fantasy team. All right. All right. Hearns, is he going higher or lower than the 10th pick of the 6th round? Higher. That was a quick one from there. That was a quick one. Higher. Higher lower than the 10th pick of the 6th round. Right now, let me just see this real quick.
We tied on the first. I won on the second. So if we tie, I win. Higher. No, no, because I've won the tie breaker on the first question. That is correct. So you need to actually win this. Are you sticking with higher? What was the, what was the round? Tenth pick of the sixth round. 10th pick of the sixth round. Would you really go with three lowers in a row? I'm going to go higher. The answer is higher, but where?
But where? This will be the tiebreaker because we'll give Mike the first round. We'll give Jason the second round. Where is Alan Hurton's going? He's higher than the 10th pick of the 6th round. I'm going to go 6.6. All right. I will go. Price is right. And I will go 6.5. I guess that's legal. He is going with the second pick of the 6th round. Yes. And so Mike is the winner. Do you think that it? How would Mike? Because I'm closer. But I got what?
I got all three questions right, and you got... No, you did not. You did not get the first one right. Mike did. He guessed Doug Martin's... No, I know, but the higher or lower, I got all three right. And Mike got the second one wrong. I won. Nope. What? Nope. No, Mike won the first and the third, and you won the second. That, this is ridiculous. You said it was a higher or lower game. It is. And then the tie-break. The tiebreaker. You look, your... Foot clan, help me out here. I feel like a man putting the...
in a corner. I leave because I'm sick for a couple of days. I come back and these guys are best friends. I think he's tearing up right now. I'm out of here. I'm like the father from Dirty Dancing and I have put Jason in a corner. Nobody puts a baby in a class. Let's focus on Alan Hearns for a second. All right. Does he belong there as the second pick of the sixth round? Where would you take him? I think that's perfectly fine for Alan Hearns. I don't know if he can repeat what he did last year.
Some of those, you know, he had a lot of long touchdowns. But watching Hearns play, I think that he can get pretty close to that. I personally think that Alan Hearns is a good player. I think he's a good deep threat. So he will still put up some very solid fantasy numbers. And sixth round is fine for me if you're taking a wide receiver right there. Yeah, it's all right. I think that there's, I think it's fair to grab him there. He's a good, solid number two. Alan Hearns are Marvin Jones. Jones.
Jones is going much later and I think he's got every bit to be as good or better than Alan Hearn. So I go Marvin Jones. All right. We're going to jump into the news. Catch up on Julian Edelman and some other stories that are going on right now in fantasy football. Before we do that, I want to remind everybody about the ultimate draft kit.

And if you have a question for the show, today's a mailbag show, so this is when we answer them. You can send them in at the Fantasyfootballers.com on the web. Let's jump into the news. News and notes from around the league. All right, step back from the ledge, everybody. Step back from the ledge. It turns out that Mr. Julian Edelman is okay. He's actually practicing right now.
So that's good. That was quick. Yeah. What's interesting is that... That escalated quickly. Is that yesterday when the report came off, he slammed his helmet. It looked like ankle. He's back today. It was foot. They said it was foot. So... Scary. You got to pay attention to that. But this Ebron, you know, with Eric Ebron and Julian Edelman, both situations ended up a lot better than what they sounded like. And we gave you everything we knew yesterday morning, but he's practicing today. Out of Detroit...
We're hearing that Marvin Jones is emerging as the number one wide receiver. This is somebody that we've been pretty high on in terms of the value at the position, not necessarily as the guaranteed number one. This is very good news for him. It could be bad for his ADP. If people start hearing this, that value might dissipate, but he was already, I think, going in the eighth or ninth round. So to me, he's still going to be a value. We just talked about the fact we'd take him over Alan Hearns, who's going in the sixth. There's also news that Golden Tates just kind of had...
