For what you normally pay for either one of them, they're very good. So in my opinion, it's just who would you rather have on your team if you could pick one and they cost the same? Because the $3 savings between these two guys is, to me, irrelevant. It's also a one running back. You only have to start one running back.

It doesn't change the way that I draft, but it changes what I do.

I'm always the type of guy that when that draft is over, little pro tip, and your team gets entered in there, you hop on and you find some guy that's eligible to move to the IR that's either on waivers or if you drafted somebody, you know, right now in my leagues. Like I've got, you know, a Thomas Rawls who was listed as out, so I was able to move him to my IR and go pick up another guy off of waivers. Use it.

to maximize your roster, but I'm not going to, I'm not going to change, you know, how risky I think a player is just because, look, he doesn't score points for me from my IR. If you drafted right now today, which people are doing, Steve Smith, you can throw him on IR, Jeremy Fadden, Carlos Williams, Jimmy Graham, Williams, Ladarius Green, these are all in ESPN system right now.

Carlos has listed his out. Oh, it's because he is. Those are all IR eligible players right now. He's technically on the pup. I forgot. Yeah. Those are all IR eligible guys. Wow. That's a technicality buster because he's suspended. But he's also on the pub. Who is? Williams. Carlos. Yeah. Well. So if you happen to draft one of those guys, just know after your draft. He noticed that the two players have switched spots in our rankings over the last month looking for the safest guy to go with the other studs I start with. Well, we face this decision in our last mock draft. If you are looking for the safest guy, it even more.

confirms my decision here. I would go with DeMarco Murray. Yeah, I agree that DeMarco Murray is the safer of the two. What's interesting is I had the opposite approach with those four guys. I felt like you have the room to grab a high upside guy. If you've got Des and A.J. and Keenan Allen and Ingram, you have the room to swing for the fences here. And I would rather have Ryan Matthews, who I think ceiling is higher than DeMarco Murray.

because he is the less safe guy, but the higher ceiling. Now, if you want the safer guy, I agree, it is DeMarco. I think that's a really good take. You're basically saying you're looking at his roster and you come away wanting to put yourself in a high upside situation as opposed to what he wanted to do, which was to be safe. We have them 17 and 18, back to back in our rankings. Look, it's completely my fault that Ryan Matthews is not ahead. You guys both have Ryan Matthews ahead. I do not. Well, you know, Ingram in the 5th, Robinson in the 3rd, you got two studs locked up at extra special pricing. You just go with those.

My scores stagnate in the playoffs. What metrics do you look for in players during the draft to determine if they will have a good chance of excelling in the last few weeks of the season? Oh, Dan, we feel your pain. You know, the truth is I am never going to look at a playoff schedule at the draft.

uh i'm more concerned probably with the first half of the season schedule than the playoffs but it's about midpoint in the season where i start really kind of gearing the team for the playoffs there's certain things that you'll do you know what what comes do you always say you don't you don't win a championship at your draft you build the foundation that's right but if you're going to

win your championship and make it all the way through the playoffs it's going to be the moves that you make during that time and the few weeks beforehand that actually push you to a championship victory it's going to be who you start who you grab as a backup sometimes

who you keep away from your opponents on waiver wires. Did you grab, you know, a couple weeks beforehand, the right defensive matchup that's got that perfect playoff schedule to give you those extra points to push you over the top, things like that to me. And that's why, like, don't stop listening so many players, so many casual fans that are in your position, Dan. They get, you know, I was this way for years, man. I would get so pumped for the draft. I love fantasy football. But this, you know, life is busy. And you just don't.

have time to always keep doing the research. And so as the season goes on, you kind of just... Autopilot. Yeah, you autopilot. And then you fall into this situation. So hopefully you just keep listening. We entertain you enough, give you enough insight and information where you can make those right pickups. You know, last year, I would not have had a chance at my championship if it wasn't for Timmy Hightower. That was what pushed me over the top, is making the right moves at those points in the season.

Yeah, I was going to say it's those late guys. It's Hightower. It's Kurt Cousins. It's Matt Stafford. These guys that you see them catching fire at the end. There's also, I mean, this has turned into like a tips and tricks episode. Kind of. Kind of has. Look, if you're going halfway through the season and you had a guy like, I don't know, people didn't like Julio Jones's playoff schedule last year. You don't have to make a trade in which you're upgrading to still upgrade for your playoff run. I mean, if you could have flipped.

Julio for Antonio Brown by throwing in one other extra piece, that might have set you up better for the playoffs than to have a guy. You said, you know, what do you do here to make sure you can excel in the last few weeks? You don't know right now. You'll know then. You'll know when you start to see some of these defenses and where they rank. And then at that point, you know, very few people in your league are going to be looking six weeks down the line. If you're the one doing that at that point in the season with six or seven weeks left, you're going to exceed.

But now with Bell dropping to the second round, where do you take Lamar or Bell with the possibility of being out for four?

Oh, four games. You have AJ Green and this is Lamar Miller versus Bell. Oh, he already bought two packs of double stuffed Orioles for the draft. Well, you're going to have to go back to the grocery store because if you have those right now, you're probably going to be out of double stuff ori's by the time your draft rolls around. That's a pro tip. Yeah, I assume the draft is not today.

So that's not going to happen. You know, this is a great question. Lamar Miller versus Levion Bell. Levion Bell's been moving up my board over the last. I feel like every day I'm like,

Going in. Levian Bell's moving up your board? Well, yeah, because I had moved him down the lowest of the three of us. I had moved him to, I think the 13th was my initial ranking. 13th round. Gotcha. Was the 13th running back. And then I was like, okay, he's got to be top 12. I moved him there. Then I moved him eight. Moved him ahead of Mark Ingram. But it's really tough when you're on the board and you've got the value of Levi-on-Bel to say, no, I'm not going to take him. Now, any.

In a PPR league, which this is, I have Lamar Miller is my number one running back. So I'm fine taking Lamar Miller and not having Levion Bell that risk of those four games right now. Obviously, if he doesn't miss any games, Levyon Bell would be my number one PPR running back. So it's a gamble, but I think the...

You know, the risk-verse reward there says Lamar Miller to me, but you guys might not be as high on Lamar Miller. No, I'm taking Lamar there. The ceiling for Lamar is so high. We saw Arian Foster when he, I think maybe he came back too soon because his Russian performance was really abysmal. But it was, go look at, go watch the tape of Aaron Foster trying to run. It was not good. And the numbers back that up.

However, in the passing game, he was spectacular, and he was still great for fantasy purposes. And my point of that was just to say, Lamar Miller, a fully healthy Lamar Miller in that system, has upside to be top three, even overall number one at the position, especially in PPR. Give me a Levi-on-Bell. That's what I'll take. All right. James and Pittsburgh, who are your top three handcuffs, and what is the maximum number of handcuffs you would take in a standard 10-team league?

All right. Well, I guess we're, so we're running into more tips and tricks. So handcuffs, generally speaking at the draft, unless you're like, you're the left bell guy. And you know, DeAngelo's got four games for you. Then, yeah, grab him. But most of the time, I'm not overtargeting on my handcuffs right away. I know that maybe somebody else is going to pay too much. Let's say I have David Johnson and I want Chris Johnson. And you got someone who thinks they're funny. And, oh, I'm going to grab Chris Johnson in the eighth.
