Footmuller's podcast with your host, Andy Holloway and Mike Wright. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, guess who's back? Back again. Well, yeah, thank goodness. Yeah. You listen to that crap I put out there last week? It was all right. We can...

1:59 ↗

I thought it would be way less awkward to do a solo podcast, and all of a sudden every down moment of space, I felt like I had to talk. Like, there was no reaction time. I think the listeners can use an educated guest to figure out who was the audio engineer. No, it was not that obvious. I thought it sounded pretty darn good. I took care of business. Yeah. Would you say I left some time in the beginning of it? There was like eight seconds of blank space at the beginning. You know what that's called?

2:28 ↗

No. In the business? What's that? Dead air. Anticipation. Oh, you're letting a build. Maybe it is dead air. Maybe that's the word I was looking for. Welcome to the fantasy footballers. Yes, we are back. I was on vacation from life. And fantasy football, right? Yeah. So it's November 25th. I am Mike DeFanty Hitman, right? My good co-host, good friend. Andy Holloway is here.

2:58 ↗

I would like to start the show with a confession of the ultimate... This is so bad. Ultimate Fantasy Football Blunder committed by yours truly. I can't believe this. Like, of all the people I've ever met in my life who play fantasy football, I just wouldn't have thought it possible by you. And so you need a little backstory of how this happened. I took my family to Disneyland. And my youngest, who is...

3:28 ↗

11 months. He still does not like to sleep through the night. He likes to wake up several times on occasion. I liked it to set up. Well, you have to, you have to understand, because it's not just complete stupidity, which it sounds like. There's at least some context to it. So the night before the drive to California, the baby woke up, I believe, five times. So I got maybe...

3:56 ↗

four hours of completely interrupted sleep. I drove all the day to Disneyland, then took the kids in. Then there was a whole fiasco of essentially how we had to stay up until 10 o'clock. You're low on sleep. California seems, so I'm already low on sleep. And that's actually 11 o'clock our time. Go home or back to the hotel, put the baby down for just an excruciating double dose from him.

4:24 ↗

who he woke up, I believe, four times. Oh, my gosh. The payoff better be good here. So I go into Monday morning. I haven't slept really in about 72 hours. And I know that I'm not going to have much downtime for fantasy football. And so I'm looking at one of my leagues and I like, oh, I lost. Okay, whatever. So I need, I'm having.

4:53 ↗

terrible running back problems. Everyone just keeps getting hurt for me. This is one of your money leagues. Yeah, so I threw in all these waivers, and I'm like, oh, I also need to change my lineup. And the only spot that I could change at the time would be Levy on Bells. I'm going to Hibbonne by, and I had Talley Farrow gross. I mean, he was my litterment. That's how bad it's going. That he's my only option. So I throw him in. I get a text later that night.

5:23 ↗

From my friend who is the commissioner league's like, why did you sit Levi-on-Bel? Uh-oh. And I said, what are you talking about? He's like, you didn't play, you played Tali Afero on his bi-week. So I was so sleep drunk, I thought it was Tuesday. Oh, and little did you know at the time, Levy on Bell. Played that night. So not only Levy on Bell. And well. So here's what happened. I would have won. Yes.

5:53 ↗

I would have placed top six. I would have been right on the cusp of playoff contention. But? But now I am not in the playoffs. Because you made the worst fantasy blunder of your life. Yes, of my entire life. Oh, my goodness. So let this be a lesson. Don't go to Disneyland. When you're on vacation and no sleep, don't tinker with your lineup. No, that was the problem. There was no thinking.

6:22 ↗

I just couldn't believe it when you told me. I was like, and it wasn't a small mistake. It was like Levi-on went out and dominated. Yeah, 200 yards. Yeah, on your bench. So that was very upsetting. Yeah, that's pretty funny. And then... Don't let it happen again. Oh, that's never happen again. And I also will want to rant a little bit about Justin Forsett.

6:51 ↗

Dang it, man. He straight murdered me last night. Andy and I are in a league with the, I guess we'd introduce. We do some writing for fantasy pros, and there's a league of correspondent leagues. Other writers. Where we're trying to flex our muscles. We're going up against a guy who happens to be undefeated just because of head-to-head matchups. We're up by 30 points.

7:18 ↗

I forgot he was the undefeated guy. We're up by 30.9 points going into Monday night and he has Forsett. Impossible, we think. Yeah, and then Forset puts up 31 points in that league. We lost by 0.22. And then you lost because of him in another week too. Justin Forsett, Bravo to those who picked him up off the Waver Wire. What an absolute monster this year. He has been the king of the Waver Wire. I already had just

7:50 ↗

gut-wrenching loathing for the new orleans saints i already and that's funny enough i cover them but this i'm talking for a personal standpoint not right i hate them because they killed kurt warner and brett farb and my dreams that's true that's funny by the way so i i just don't like them and then this they go out in their defense sucks so bad that i lose everywhere that's their first um

8:19 ↗

Three game losing streak at home in 17 years, I think. Good, I'm glad. Yeah, so let's get into some other things going on. News and notes from around the league. Oh, I've been gone, so I forgot that was coming. No, I know. That's all good. We talked about Foresat, obviously, but let's get into some injury news and notes here. This is tough for all those of you starting Ryan Mallet out there.

8:49 ↗

Ryan Mallett's long wait to become a starter while his opportunity's over. He has a torn pectoral muscle, and he's done for the year. Marshawn Lynch, he's a guy which we have to monitor. He's on the quick turnaround with a Thanksgiving game. His back, which is always a problem, so you can't, it's hard to really be really concerned about it. I'm not concerned about his back, yeah. But he did miss a couple series because he was so sick.

9:19 ↗

uh during the the cardinal game so he just monitor him going i believe he's going to play but he might not practice at all right before he plays but i would expect him to play it's a hard matchup with the same with the 49ers san francisco and he's got these ailments so just just pay attention don't uh don't be an arian foster owner uh yeah who leaves him in the lineup yeah seriously uh yeah we may or may not have had somebody do that to speak

9:48 ↗

Ryan Matthews, who's the normally dependable, Ryan Matthews, never been hurt before. He's a tank. Got a shoulder injury. I'm hearing good things. He should be okay? He did come back into the game. Yeah, although he tends to be a slow healer, so we want to keep your eyes on Mr. Matthews, and if Brandon Oliver is available somehow in your league, you want to snag him. Matthews is like the opposite of Wolverine. Oh, you know who he is? I don't. He is.

10:18 ↗

Samuel Jackson from Unbreakable. Oh. What is Mr. Glass? Mr. Glass. That is Ryan Matthews. Yeah. He's awful. I mean, and the funny thing is, is he came out. He's very good football players. He came out and played really well. 19 carries, 149 yards against, who was it? St. Louis? Yes. Yeah, 129 yards. Who's in their good run, D? Yeah, but yeah, he's an injury risk. But heading into playoffs? Oof.

10:46 ↗

Austin Safarian Jenkins, who is a known favorite of this podcast. He heard his back, and I recently saw that Tampa signed a couple of tight ends, so that is not sounding good for ASJ's availability this weekend, so I would plan to stream somewhere else. We got Cordare L. Patterson, who hurt his ankle.

11:13 ↗

Not that you're really starting him at this point. I know he's come out and said that he still wants, he heard it on a kick return, and he still wants to return kicks, which is something that sometimes really good players don't want to do because they want to be in the lineup. You know, we, you always, fantasy football analysts always have a lot of misses. This Cordrell Patterson makes me so happy about myself.

11:38 ↗

Because it wasn't to miss. I did not like him at all. No, he's not been good. I remember he came out week one and was really good, so it was like everybody freaked out at Castle. I did not understand what was going on. People were going crazy for him. I'm talking well-respected professional analysts. I think people thought, I think Castle going out, though, had to impact him in a big way. Because you had nobody who, you bring a rookie quarterback in. It's not the same as the force feeding of, you know, Percy Harvin we saw a couple years ago. You have.

12:08 ↗

I don't know. But Castle went out. Certainly you were right. A couple games in. I don't know. But that one just makes me feel good. Cooper Helfit, you're not even going to know that name. He scored the 20-yard touchdown against Arizona. Tied in for Seattle. Fullback? Tight-in? I think he's a wide receiver. I don't even know what position he is. I just looked up injuries in this guy's name came up. And you're probably as confused as his name as I am. But...

12:35 ↗

He did score, so we're talking about it. His ownership percentage has got to be 0.01. It's his mom. His mom and his dad both own him in Fantasy League. He hurt his ankles. His ankle. All right, so let's talk up some fellas. This week's fantasy stud muffins. Oof. Lots of interesting names, and this is like an incredibly important time of year for that emergency signing.

13:06 ↗

for handcuffing your guy for the playoffs, or as some of you are in the position of, and I highly advocate this, by the way, destroying other team's dreams. Don't be a passive, yeah, don't be a passive little, oh, I'm out of the playoffs. Yeah. Your job is to compete, and even if you're not in a dynasty league, compete and knock people out of the playoffs. Take away people's waiver wire claims. Don't make it easy on them. And to that end,

13:35 ↗

If you were one of the people who signed Latavius Murray last week, like somebody I know. Yes. Who also started them, started him like somebody I know. Like you were a crazy person. Yeah. Yeah. And it paid off, baby. It paid off big. Four for one, 12. Two touchdowns. The only two touchdowns scored against Kansas City in the last 15 games or more. I can't remember the number.
