Oh, semifinals! You ready for a show? I'm ready for a show. I'm ready for the weekend. Do you have a good night? I had a fantastic weekend. It was our sons actually shared the same birthday. We planned that out very, very well. Yes. But my son turned three, and we took Nana and Papa, and we went ice skating. Again. Is that your second ice skating? It was. Well, we went with the grandma and the grandpa.
This time we had to go with... This is Nana and Papa? Yeah, they're different people. Different people. Because this is the world we live in America where grandparents just pick their name. What I was growing up... They chose it? Yes. When I was growing up, it was you got Grandma and Grandpa, and then you give them their last name. Yeah. Grandpa Jackson. So Grandma Wright. But no, you got a Nana Pop-up and you've got a Grandma and Grandpa? Yeah. And then because on the wife's side, they got like a T-Tah.
and uh uh nay nay and they got all these weird weird words for their older relatives that's funny oh that's funny i laugh but literally you have a nana and papa yeah like that's one of our two and then and then there's gammy see see that when i when i'm when i'm the the old man it's going to be sir sir sir hey is uh grammy and sir coming over grammy and sir coming grammy and sir you're doing right
When I was a kid, my grandfather always told me he would tie me to the ceiling fan. And he would let me just swing around. That's how he kept me in line. And he was just grandpa. Yeah, there. And he smoked a pipe. Oh, did he? He did. At all times. He did. Frosty the snowman? Close. Close. Welcome to the show. All the nanny and pop pops out there.
We have a good one. We're preview in the Thursday night game today. We have a week 15 playoff mailbag with Foot Clan questions from the website. We have Pump the brakes on the show today as well. A bunch of good articles going on to the website, the fantasy footballers.com, including the snap count observation article by Marcus Meaney. Yeah. I'm looking at it right now, my friends. Do you see, are you making some observations of the observations he made? Yeah, it's good stuff. Well.
Sammy Watkins, 94%. I knew it, man. It was happening. He was back, and then there was a news blurb that said he's not quitting. He's going to keep playing through, even though he pretty much has a lame duck coach. Must play fantasy. So just, there's really interesting bits of information here. Yeah. Yeah. So you can follow us on Twitter at the FF Ballers. Without further ado, I think we're going to move into pump the brakes. Oh, let's do it. Oh, oh, oh.
O'Reilly. O'Reilly. Auto parts. Ow! All right. Pump the brakes with O'Reilly today. Three players were pumping the brakes on or three situations, whatever it might be, trying to get you ready for the playoffs, trying to keep your minds right. And now look, last weekend was crazy. It was bananas. Bananas, as Mike would say. The young people were called cray cray. Cray, cray. And yet, I think we did all right. Yeah.
No, no, we certainly did. Okay. I got to tip my cap here to my esteemed colleagues. Yeah, you're darn right, Key, y'all. Look, fantasy pros does an accuracy challenge for fantasy analysts out there. The number one and the number two. It's back to back. For accuracy war. Jason was number one, Andy was number two.
A hearty congratulations, fellas. Thank you. And I feel like last week it was just being the least wrong. Right. Because it was a crazy week. Whatever it takes. It makes me happy that in the playoffs. When you have all the giant misses, right? Nobody. There was not a fantasy analyst out there that said, sit Drew Breed. Or Mike Evans or James Winston. Everyone's wrong on that. It's all the little things that make the difference to help you get that playoff victory. So we are happy that our rankings were as accurate as they could be.
Yeah, I loosen the collar a little bit. I was a little less sweaty after I saw that. Yes. All right, pump the brakes with O'Reilly Auto parts, Mike. I'm going to go first, actually. That's fine. You're going Sir Mix a lot. I'm pumping the brakes. Double up. On Marcus Mariotta. Marcus Mariotta. Look, you were sitting pretty. You were leaning back with your peanuts and your pillow and your eye mask on that 747. You were riding him.
But these last two weeks, it's bumpy skies, my friend. It's turned into the red eye. You need to get off. You need to grab your shoot. Grab your shoot. And that shoot is another streaming quarterback because Marcus Marietta last week. He played Denver. It wasn't good. This week he travels to Arrowhead, takes on Kansas City. I don't like it. I don't like it. And I know how much you love Marcus Marietta because you probably rode him to this point. But she didn't play him last week, I hope.
And you can't play him this week in Kansas City. Do you guys, you guys agree with me? I would agree. I mean, the, the chief defense, we talked about them for weeks of the difference that Justin Houston makes to that front. I mean, it changes everything about that defense in Arrowhead, which is a notoriously tough place to play. I just, I would.
I would bail out if at all possible. Yeah, Chiefs, Chiefs are clearly a good defense. That being said, Marcus Peters. Against wide receivers, they are not necessarily the best. You want to know who the best is? It's who Marcus Mariotta played last week, which is the Denver Broncos. No surprise to anyone. That's why this week I am pumping the brakes on the New England wide receivers. You're pumping them on. You got like a bus full of guys. I got the truck full. I got, I got three main guys.
that I'm saying caution about playing because these three guys just put up great weeks. You got Malcolm and the Mitchell, who has been very good. You have Chris Hogan scored the long touchdown this last week. You failed. I thought you were going to go with Chris Hogan's heroes. I thought there was going to be a television theme. Malcolm and the Mitchell, Chris Hogan's Theorem. And Julian Edelman. Give me one for that, Mike. Jewel.
No, that's terrible. All right. No, that's terrible moving on. So Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, and Malcolm Mitchell, I'm pumping the brakes on all three of them. Since the buy for Denver, the last three weeks, there have not been, none of those teams have had even 100 total yards to wide receivers in the entire game. One touchdown over the last three weeks. Now, Tom Brady is a different quarterback.
Drew Breeze went in and Drew Breeze had a fine game against Denver. And I think that Tom Brady can actually have an okay game. He can get it done through the screen game with White and Dionne Lewis and Martellis Bennett. Exactly. But the wide receivers, I'm really, really worried about this week. And because they've been hot, you're going to be tempted to play them. If you have other good options, go with them this week. Mike?
All right. This is, this one will be a little interesting, but stay with me. I like it. Stay with me, Foot Clan. The, one of the top questions I'm getting right now on the Twitter is what do I do with Drew Breeze and people are throwing out just nasty, just nasty quarterback replacement. But, but Mike, you got to, you got to sit Drew Breeze. He's, he's had two bad games in a row. He, he certainly has. And now he has a tough matchup against Arizona.
But I'm pumping the brakes on those who are pumping the brakes. Ah, it's a double reverse situation. You're pumping the brakes on the voice of public opinion. I am. Very nice. So I, I am still okay playing Drew Breeze. This is, we're talking Hall of Fame level quarterback, one of the most prolific scoring quarterbacks of all time. And he hasn't thrown a touchdown in nine quarters.
You smell that? What is that? That's positive regression. It's coming. Tannehill, I know they were in a monsoon, but he didn't even play the whole game, and he was the number three quarterback last week against Arizona. The previous two weeks, Kurt Cousins had a perfectly fine game against Arizona. A week back before that, Matt Ryan, 269 yards and two touchdowns. Last four weeks against...
Wide receivers Cardinals have given up 35, 47, 32, 31 fantasy points. I'm just, I'm not going to overthink it when it comes to Drew Brees versus a nasty. So define overthinking it. It comes down to who. Where's the line? I would, I need to draw the line in the sand, but you need to give me some names. Are you starting James Winston or Drew Brees? Ooh, that's, that's tough because James Winston has a delightful matchup against Dallas. I'm starting there. Okay, we'll start there. That one's.
Well, why you got to start with the tough ones? Why don't we got to set me up with the softballs, man? You say, hey, Drew Breeze. Bryce Petty? Yeah. Drew Breeze. If you say Drew Breeze against Arizona or Tyrae Taylor against Cleveland? I'll play Drew Breeze. Derek Carr against San Diego or Drew Breeze against San Diego or Drew Breeze against Arizona? Both on the road. Both on the road? I would probably still go Drew Breeze. Drew Breeze or Dak Prescott against Tampa. Drew Breeze. Eli Manning against Detroit.
Drew Brees. Okay. So that's what I mean. That's what that illustrates it. I still have confidence in Drew Brees as a top fantasy quarterback. All right. So you're pumping the brakes on the people pumping the brakes on Drew Brees. I've got Marcus Marietta. Jason is saying, hey, caution those New England wide receivers. I think I looked it up just now. Five or six total touchdowns given up to wide receivers on the year by Denver. Three of those were in New Orleans in one game. So you have three distributed against the rest of the season. That's upside capped.
Right. Even if Tom Brady isn't a quarterback, he's a quarterback. And have fun picking the right wide receiver that it's going to get the touchdown. Right. That's because you want it to be very badly in your semifinal matchup. That was the universe. That was Pump the Brakes with O'Reilly Auto Parts, better parts, better prices every day. Don't forget it. All right. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league.
Oh, it is the holiday season. And what a gift it is to receive Darren McFadden on your 53-man roster. Wee. He's been activated and moved on to the roster. You know, what this does to me is it actually hurts the handcuff situation a little bit. You know, Alfred Morris. It would be a shared situation. Exactly. Alfred Morris has been a great must-own type of handcuff. But now, should Darren McFadden go down, I imagine you'd see Alfred Morris as that first second and Darren McFadden come in for those passing down duties?
