Week 14 Matchups, In-or-Out, Sneaky Farts

Atlanta's not been a great D. You can stream them. But you can stream them next week in week 15 against this Cardinals offense, which, by the way, is the only team in the league to punt on over half of their possessions. Oh, well done. So the only other question is, can you start Larry Fitzgerald? I think he is a startable asset at home. Fitzgerald or Pettus? Fitzgerald. Okay. Yeah, I agree with Goodwin coming back. I would go Fitzgerald over. Yeah. Over Pettis? Yeah. This is a sad game.

Let's move on then to a more exciting game. The six and six Eagles take on the seven and five cowboys in Dallas. Dallas three and a half point favorites. 44.5 point over under. Andy's almost upset of the week. I did this once with Philly. You did. You didn't like the results. I also did it once against Philly with the Giants and Philly came up with the win. If they win this game, they'll be tied atop the division with the Dallas Cowboys. And they did win last week. And they did have a little bit of spunk in the form of Golden Tate getting involved in a big way for the first time. Do you buy into the kind of coming out party for Golden Tate last year, frequently targeted, targets manufactured behind the line of scrimmage for him? No, I don't.

They were plays drawn up to get him in the ball quickly to try to utilize his yards after catchability. And that's good. I mean, they need to build that report. But I'm not buying into Golden Tate yet off of that one game. Certainly not while they travel to Dallas against a defense that is on fire in a divisional matchup at home. I,

I trust your almost upsets of the week, but I'm going to be honest with the momentum that Dallas has right now in front of his home crowd in a divisional must-win matchup with what their offense has been doing with Marty Cooper and Zeke and what their defense specifically has been doing. Corey Clement makes his way on the field. But Josh Adams, fully healthy, practicing in full this week. Feel okay with him? Or a little worried. A little bit worried.

I got him outside the top 24. So 27, you're in Kenyon, Drake, Marlon Mack. That's right around where I have them too. Chris Carson Range. Would you play Carson or Josh Adams? I would play Chris Carson, but I would play Josh Adams over Coleman, Howard, Legerred Blunt. All right. The 7 and 4 and 1, Steelers take on the 2 and 10 Raiders in Oakland. The Raiders are 10.5 point home underdogs. The game has a 51.5 point over under. Most of those points to go to Pittsburgh.

But Jalen Samuel, Stephen Ridley, they'll take the mantle from James Connor, who took the mantle from Levi-on-Bell. You know, I worry because of the excitement for Jail and Samuels that maybe it's gone too far, maybe everybody, you know, when something happens like it does to a big high-profile guy like James Connor or, you know, last week Cream Hunt and Spencer Ware,

You kind of imbue a lot of value that comes along with the fact you spent a waiver spot or you spent a bunch of waiver priority on a guy. I want people to understand. Jayland Samples is going to split time in the backfield with Stephen Ridley. Now, that doesn't mean he's not going to be more of the passing downs guy. He's the past. He's the group. Catch some passes, but I'm trying to temper my expectations from him. Is that wrong?

I mean, I've got him at 23 this week. I've got Peterson over him. I've got Justin Jackson over him. I think it's wrong. It's a wise move to be realistic with the excitement. You know, sometimes excitement overwhelms. You know, and it forces guys up rankings. My thinking here is we have, I mean, we have so much history of Mike Tomlin, so much. And I've just never seen him use a running back by committee.

And so I'm not going to be surprised if it comes out, and it's actually the Stephen Ridley show. Like, I wouldn't, I mean, you look at Week 17 last year, it was the Stephen Ridley show, and he was awesome. He knows the system, he's been involved. But I was trying to research to find out, like, what, looking at Beat reporters, and I watched an interview with Stephen Redley, and he is either the best actor in the world, or he literally has no idea what the utilization is, which leads me to believe that it will be.

Jalen Samuels. Because I would, Jalen Samuels was talking about how he's getting extra reps and practice and things like that. And when the question was asked how Stephen Ridley is going to be utilized, he was like, look, I don't mean to be rude, but players are going to play, coaches are going to coach, I have no idea what his game plan is. And it was like, hmm.

You're probably not the guy. But I still wouldn't be shocked, which is why I think it's wise to somewhat temper your Jalen Samuel's expectation because we've got a history of just being wrong, you know, we being fantasy football players, of going to this is going to be the guy. And then it's like, oh. Well, does that temper your- Austin Eklow last week? Right. Didn't pan out. This will.

Go down as the Jalen Samuels game in the annals of fantasy football history because you're in the playoffs and you're probably banking on him. And if you can play him at tight end, congratulations. Now, I was going to say, you're tempering. Does that go into him as a tight end? No, of course not. No, no. Because tight ends are garbage. You ever seen CJ Usama, Mike? I've, you ever seen him. I've heard of him. You want to roll out Cameron Bray? You ever dance with the devil with Austin Hooper?

Actually, I have. It's awkward. It's awkward. They should let us play James Devlin in this week, too. That just feels like the right thing to do. Here's the reality, right? Big Ben going on the road. You don't always love that. You want Big Ben at home. But with Jaylen Samuels and Stephen Ridley as the only two running back options, I think this is a passing game. You're starting Big Ben no matter what. He's the number two quarterback on the year.

Yes, number two quarterback on the year, number two quarterback on the week. I really think Big Ben is going to feast, and that's going to go to both Antonio Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster. Obviously, you're starting those guys, but they are going to, they're just going to destroy Oakland. I told Mike last week there are fantasy points to be had in the offense for Oakland. Maybe it's not a lot, but this game is in Oakland and...

Jared Cook 100 yards last week. Touchdown in three straight games. You have to play Jared Cook at this point. And then Jalen Richard has been like ping ponging between some decent performances, some crappy ones. Last week, six for 95. Marcel Aitman, Jordan E. Nelson, are you running, running, running away? I am mostly running away. I think you can still play Richard. Question for Crampus himself, Doug Martin. It's been a strange week.

for Doug Martin. Early on, there was, okay, Martin is hurt. He's trending out. He is not going to play. They signed CJ Anderson. Then the next day, oh, Doug Martin practicing in full. He's fine. Yeah. He ate a few children, regained his strength. He ate a few. Just a few. Yeah. I do think. Like a PEZ dispenser. Unless he pops back on the injury port, I do think Doug Martin is an okay play. All right. I mean, he's.

He's had a touchdown in the last two games. Last week, 18 for 61. Sid of the week. I mean, I'm not loving either guy. And it's the playoffs. Hopefully you can do better. But if I had to pick one of those two, I would still lean Doug Martin. Rams, Bears, much more exciting. Sunday night football, 11-1 Rams, 8 and 4 Bears, Bears 3-point home. Underdogs, 52 point over under. This is an interesting game for fantasy owners because, look, you're starting the players that got you there.

I think the official kind of like the more strict phrase for that is to shake what your mama gave you. Mm-hmm. That's correct. So Jared Gough, Todd Gurley, Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods. We don't have to talk about them, but are you worried about this? Yeah, I'm worried about golf. I'm worried about golf big time. I've got him at number nine. Garf. Garf. Gerf. Is he more of a golf or a garf this week? Man, I don't know which one's better.

So I can't answer that question. Yeah, you're more acclimated to like barf than Garf. This week, that is true. Yeah, I mean, Jared Goff has been just so powerful as a fantasy quarterback over the course of the season. Since losing Cooper Cup, he has, you know, he's let you down a few times. And now he's going on the road to Chicago. It's looking like it's going to be 28 degrees. And he's a guy where in the fantasy playoffs,

Yeah. And he's, the correlation of him having down games on the road also is there when you break down the numbers and the splits. It's one of those where you got to the playoffs in part because of golf and you're going to start him. And I worry that a lot of fantasy owners are going to regret it. And well, Jared Goff. I need to move him down on my rankings. Jared Goff or I don't.
