Antonio Brown. I wasn't done with the bucks. Oh, you weren't? Because I just had another thought. Is this a rhyme or some sort of pun? Do you want it to be? No, no, I don't. Ronald Jones. Yeah. Not a pass-catching running back. No. And Bruce Ariens likes his running backs to be workhorse guys who can also catch the ball. Is that how you view Peyton Barber though? Are you looking at them?

Inside the episode
107 passagesMaking a full change. That's just bringing that up. That Ronald Jones would certainly be a hot topic of conversation as we move in. What does the team do with Peyton Barber? Does Ronald Jones second round pick? Does he get the opportunity? But that is going to be a struggle for Ronald Jones. And past protection, that's huge for Bruce Ariens to get guys on the field. Yeah. Yeah. This is big news too because we weighed in.
On the last episode, Chris Mortensen thinks there's a high probability, and Tony Brown has traded. This is crazy. I think on the last show, you had the highest percentage chance that you thought he was going to be traded by reading the tea leaves. Mortensen saying this, look, it's going to be a very interesting offseason. Now, I believe, is it March 2nd when his guarantee hits? No, no, he just gets a $2 million bonus. Right, but it's in their advantage. It's in their best interest to trade him before that.
Could be. That's what I had read. It's all over the place. So because there's also the waiting until June 1st so then they can start, they can split up the dead cap. Yeah. So I'm, I'm not exactly sure what they view as the best foot forward. But if they really, if they honestly think this team is so negatively impacted by Antonio Brown. Well, would you, could you imagine? This is going to be.
I mean, a year ago, right? We started this past season, Antonio Brown Lev Bell. You could argue for the past few years. You could have taken them one, two, in any draft. Yeah. Both could be off the team next year. I mean, we already know Lev's gone. That's ludicrous. So the Chargers, they've activated Hunter Henry as of today off the PUP list. That's awesome. So he should be playing, at least in some capacity, which if you saw Virgil Green cleared the way for him with his catch fumble.
To Virgil Green's credit, then, he came in with a monster block. That's what he does best. Yes. Yeah. And then Demarius Thomas is, quote, not thinking about retirement with the Achilles injury. Demarius Thomas. People are thinking about it for you. Retirement is thinking about you. That's not nice. Sorry, Tom. I love Thomas, but this is going to be a tough one. It's going to be tough to come back and then be, he was already in the decline. Yes. All right, that was today's news and notes. By the way, we want to remind you.
This year, news and note, sponsored by Sleeper. And look, you should play on a fantasy sports platform that does not suck. Yeah. Modern design, infinite customizations. Check out the Sleeper app. Okay. Without further ado, we're going to move into a little game. We've got planned for today. A little this or that. Dynasty edition. Is that enough gusto? Oh, I thought it was great. Okay. I felt like 80%. Oh, like you didn't give it enough? Yeah.
Well, I mean, that's your favorite drop. So, I mean, really, you, you know, you owe it everything you got. Everything you got. You don't try again? This or that. I'll blow the voice out. All right. This or that dynasty edition. So we're going to walk through some. Well, and Brooks names. Where did we get these from, Brooks? It's just out of your...
Your brain cavern or is this source? Where did we get these? Started with the brain cavern and verified through different rankings and just make sure it's close. These are tough. These are tough calls for dynasty. By the way, if he has a brain cavern, wouldn't that necessitate no brain? Why you got to read into my low-key insults? I'm just wondering how Brooks feels about that. Why you got an insult? Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
All right. This or that dynasty edition. This or that Baker, Mayfield, or Carson Wentz in a dynasty league. Seems like an absolutely impossible question to be asking if you flip the calendar back one year. But Baker is absolutely on the ascension. He's surrounded by weapons. He broke the rookie record for touchdown. He did. He's 23 years old. Carson wins is 26. This is a...
I hate to do it. I honestly hate to do this. But you have to ask, at least ask the question now of Carson Wentz, what happens if Nick Foles wins another Super Bowl? Nothing. Nothing? You think he's firmly entrenched? I do. I mean, his option for next year is $20 million. You cannot pay him $20 million. Yeah, I understand. But I'm saying, do you make the switch to Nick Foles? No.
I don't think you should. But when a quarterback wins you back-to-back Super Bowls and then you go to this other guy. I know, I know. But I don't think that's going to be the dominating reality here. The odds are still long. They have to go into New Orleans next week and win. And then even if they do that, they've got to go into what? Los Angeles, most likely. Dallas. I mean, they're on the road a couple more games before they hit the Super Bowl.
If I'm looking at this decision, I'm remembering back to last season. Carson wins, the darling of every fantasy football team. He was an MVP candidate. Absolutely. He was the NFL MVP through the time in which he got hurt. And I remember going into the offseason and we brought this up. We put him in our ultimate draft kid as a regression because the numbers he was putting up was, they were unsustainable from an efficiency standpoint.
When you factor that in, when you factor in the fact that the newest thing is always, it always seems like the best. I mean, even when you look at Patrick Mahomes, people need to realize over the last 14 years, we haven't had a quarterback repeat as the number one fantasy quarterback. Does Patrick Mahomes have the best odds of doing that? I don't know. Didn't Aaron Rogers a few years ago? And that didn't happen? And so we cannot look at it with.
the most recent bias we can, which I think if you do that, you focus on Wins and his injuries and the fact he didn't have a prolific year, and you focus on Baker, the strong finish, and the big numbers. I think organizationally, the Eagles are a better organization. And I think age is close enough to where I will stay. I'm going to stay with Carson Wins on this. Carson just turned 26. He did. And I'm going to stay with Carson Wins here. Man.
Yeah, I think I stay with Carson Wins as well. I'm excited for, I'm excited for Baker. I am too. I think they'll both be very successful. I haven't even looked at them. I want this to be a fresh and lively debate if we have disagreement on this show. And I haven't seen them. This is a great one.
Because when I see it, I don't have an answer instantaneously. So we'll walk through it. Right. Damian Williams or Jerich McKinn. Damian Williams or Derek McKinn. Jared McKinn, put in the best position he could possibly be, 26 years old, signed to be the guy, Kyle Shanan, San Francisco, everything was looking up and would have ended up. Great. Yes. Because of how well Matt Barreto was this year, Jeff Wilson, how well they performed. The Colonel.
Colonel Mustard. Oh my gosh, I forgot about him. I did. That stinks. Yeah. Did we even have Colonel Mustard into our nickname of the year? No, people didn't want it. Well, we didn't come up with that one ourselves. What? That was a, it was a, I think it was a. Oh, wait, I'm thinking of something else. Sorry. Yeah, we certainly did. How dare you? Yeah, I don't know. I'm thinking of it. Professor Plum.
Way to blow Brooks. Damien Williams, 26 years old. Some people probably hear those two names. I think Derek's younger. You know, Damien Williams just signed a two-year extension with the Kansas City Chiefs. Here's where this one is extremely difficult because when I see this, I'm like, it's easy. Give me Jerich McKinnon because I think he's far more secure heading into his role. Yes, he is coming off an ACL tear. But in 2017, 51 receptions.
Handpicked to be the Kyle Shanahan guy. He just fits the system so well. But if Damian Williams turns into the guy for Kansas City, as Andy Reed has done for essentially his entire career, which is have one primary running back. With Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense, Damian Williams will easily outscore Jerich McKinnon if he ends up.
as the leader of the time share. That's why it's hard for me. It can be difficult to paint that picture. But there's no guarantee that Williams as of right now. There's no guarantee he can. Sure. Even if he's given that job, there's no guarantee. Look, weeks 14 through 16 in limited time, he was the RB3. So that's what Mike's saying. When he is the guy, that offense is so good that it turns him into a monster. But I don't have confidence that they don't draft another player.
that, you know, they're not paying him. Well, sure, but Jerich McKinn's got Matt Berita who just had an excellent season. I know. I know. It's a very difficult decision. And Andy Reid, when they talked about the extension for Damian Williams, it was, to me, the impact of the verbiage saying that Damian Williams has earned this contract of just really emphasizing how they gave him the shot at the one-year deal. He worked his way up from special teams to getting some snaps in the backfield to now.
Being forced into being a full-time contributor. You've got to make a brutal decision here then. Let's say it's on. You've got to make it tomorrow. Right. And I'm imagining it right now because I have Damien Williams. Yeah. If someone offered you, Derek McKinnon. If Derek McKinnon was sent to me for Damian Williams, I think I would probably, I feel like you're gambling because the role is not secure for Damian Williams. But sometimes.
Sometimes the dice come up. I'll take Damien. I'm going to take Damien Williams too. I don't like it. Knowing that it's a gamble and can blow up in my face. It's a gamble both ways. Jerich McKinnon, we've yet to see him hold up. We've yet to see him give you a good yard per carry on the ground over the course of a long season. I think it's a gamble both directions. I would take Damien Williams in the offense. It's crazy. This is where we are. It is.
All right, Brooks, who would you take in that, this or that? Damien. Damien, wow, all right. Recency bias, yeah. This or that? Yeah, what's your Kenyon done in weeks? What did he do this year? 14 through 16. Zero. Yeah. All right, this or that, T.Y. Hilton or Adam Thielen? That's a good question. I mean, T.I. Hilton, 29 years old. Adam Thielen, 29 years old. I'm going to. Age does not.
factor into this. Look, Hilton's been banged up. Hilton is not a PPR guy. And I think in almost any situation right now, I would go with Adam Thielen. I think that one's a little less close. Even with the last thing we saw of Adam Thielen is him so badly wanting to punch Kirk Cousins directly in the face. Yes, Mike. Yes. I love T.Y. Hilton.
But I've seen a little bit of a, you know, and this is to Andrew Luck's credit, but Andrew Luck is willing to diversify where he puts that ball. It can be four tight-ins on any given week. They don't have a lot of other weapons outside of Hilton, but look who catches a touchdown in the playoff game, Don Charles Inman. On the other side, I've seen Cousins lock in on Adam Thieland. Adam Thieland 153 targets, 113 receptions. He's better when it comes to scoring touchdowns.
then I think T.Y. Hilton is or ever has been. Hilton's never had a season over seven. Thielen had nine this past season. I'm going to go with Adam Thielen. It's really tough. Adam Thielen, after the nuclear hot eight games start, where he had 100 yards in every single game. The second half of the season, 39 receptions for 448 yards and three touchdowns. That's from week eight on? That's from week nine on. So read those numbers again.
