Let's go cross positionally here with this final four net question. Would you trade him for Amon Rae St. Brown? Say you're flexing four net. This is interesting because I don't have in my important leagues, I don't have Amman Ra anywhere. It just didn't work out with the ADP and everything for him to end up on any of my teams. But my opinion without having Amman Rae St. Brown is still extremely high. Like I think he's. A great player. The situation of the Lions is pretty good. They end up in these shootouts where he's getting, you know, a ton of targets. His target percentage on the year is 26. That's a really healthy percent. And that includes, you know, two games where he essentially didn't, where he played. So it's against him, but he didn't really get targets because he got knocked out of the game. But is the fantasy community out there, are they souring on Amun-Ross, St. Brad?
People even ask the question of, oh, should I maybe be trading for this guy? Like, it's, that's wild to me. Do you guys have almond raw anywhere? And is your, your viewpoint on him still positive? because you don't have him on your team, you haven't had to ride these highs and lows. Yeah, I have the same viewpoint as you. I still view Amman Ra as a really, really good player. He gets the targets that you know, you know, 10 targets, nine targets last two weeks. He's been a disappointment the last two weeks, but he's still been a top 30 wide receiver. It's not like he's gone out there and goose you. I don't think that he ever will. And if they do get into more shootouts around the goal line, now without T.J. Hawkins, and I like Amman Ra. And so this would.
It would have to be an almond raw level wide receiver or higher, which I put him, you know, as a top 15 wide receiver for sure. I would take that trade. A couple tough matches coming up. This week is all right, but the Giants in Buffalo, week's 11 and 12. It has been a little disappointing. What about, so you would take him over for a net, I assume. I, yeah, I mean, if you have the running back depth to. To handle this, I'm fine with that trade. Is that true, Broxie, outside the wide receiver, 28, five weeks in a row? Yeah, the five he's, yeah, last five that he's played. Yeah, because it includes, you know, so week seven against Dallas, 17% of the snaps because he got hurt right away. I think game before that, 32% of the snaps against New England because he got hurt. And the last two weeks outside the top 28 is true, but he was 29 both weeks.
So it's like, that's a good, that sounds a good line. Yeah, six teams on by last week. Yeah, I get it. That's frustrating. I think the bipolar nature of the offense where you thought you could count on them as a top scoring offense and then, you know, then they get shut out. That plays a part in the confidence that the fantasy community has in Amun Rai's. You don't know which lion's offense is going to show up necessarily. And maybe he needed more of the help on the other side. Jonathan Taylor. Oh, brother. I'm out. You're out on Jonathan Taylor. Of this discussion. Okay. Yeah, it's not an easy one to have. Your opinions on Jonathan Taylor probably need to be strong and will either look really smart or really stupid. That's why I'm out. Good work, boys. Handle it. I was asked the question of would you trade Jonathan Taylor away to get Damien Pierce?
Pretty much straight up. Oh, gosh. And my answer to that question on Twitter was, like, I don't have strong conviction about knowing where Jonathan Taylor's injury is taking him. When you combine that with offensive line struggles, Sam Ellinger, Jeff Saturday, new play caller, there are so many variables there. And there aren't those variables with Damien Pierce. He's going to get 20 plus touches. He's on, yeah, yeah, he's locked in. His volume is there. He's on a bad team. They're not going to score a bunch of touchdowns, but he's going to get every single carry. And that's where it becomes, that's where I start to look at the Jonathan Taylor situation is I found myself begging the fantasy world for 20 touches for Jonathan Taylor again. But even with that, you've got major offensive problems. And so I guess.
Jason, do you think that you're like, why did you say my name? I mean, do you think that this like, Mr. J.T. over here, you've been the glue holding the faith. All this swamp water that is what I'm going to refer to the Indianapolis situation. Is there any way he emerges without it all over him? I mean, like, is there a way that he runs, runs through it for the rest of this season? Yes, there is. I'm confident that there is a path forward. He's obviously a very super talented running back. There's a reason he was the 101 in most drafts. There's a reason he was the running back one last year. He is awesome. Now, he's injured and he's in a swamp for sure. Everything is completely up in the air. When you talk about the Damien Pierce, Jonathan Taylor situation.
With all the variables around Jonathan Taylor, yes, the ceiling is higher with Jonathan Taylor than the ceiling of Damian Pierce. But the floor and the questions and the weeks that you're waiting, we still don't know if he's playing. Yeah, it already happened once. The idea that the Colts are kind of more in tank mode, which I mean, that's just a, you know. Some people's theory of hiring a coach with no experience and putting your inexperienced quarterback back there. Some people might view that as trying not to win. Maybe you let your superstar Jonathan Taylor sit longer, rest more. Yada, yada, yada, yada. The point is his floor is so significantly lower that I at this point would take Damien Pierce's known touches.
And he's looked great. 27 opportunities, 20, 24, 31, 20, 22. I mean, you know he's getting the ball a ton. He looks great with the ball in his hands. Again, he doesn't have the upside Jonathan Taylor has. But as far as answering the question, is there a path forward for Jonathan Taylor to be very good? Yes. Jeff Saturday is a former center. They tried to hire him as an offensive line coach in the past. He knows. that world if he can come in and improve this offensive line that was a strength of the Colts. Remember this offseason how Matt Ryan was going to have finally a good offensive line? Like I know they've, you know, everybody's dealing with injuries, but if they can heal that, Jonathan Taylor gets healthy and maybe these transactions are made because they're saying this division is winnable. We want to fix it now. We're not going to wait and it's not a tank job.
Absolutely. Jonathan Taylor comes back, becomes the heart, soul, and strength of this team, and, you know, is the running back one the rest of the way. But the floor is certainly, you're standing on a trap door, and you know it's a trap door. You could see the outline. You just don't know if someone's pulling the handle or not. I know if you have Jonathan Taylor, this is a tough position to be in. Because distancing yourself from what you thought you had and what you might actually have is that is the hardest thing to do. because you are trading him on a reduction of value. And that feels terrible. Like when you have to accept that somebody isn't what they, you think that they are, that's really hard. Like I turned down a trade that included Ramandre and two picks two weeks ago. Why? Because of the promise, the hope, the dream that you get Jonathan Taylor the original, not this version. But.
Sometimes you have to make adjustments. Sometimes you have to accept the reality so that you can survive. Yeah, I will say before we get into some specifics on who we would trade Jonathan Taylor for, what we would maybe look to acquire him with. In a dynasty league, Jonathan Taylor's value is still outrageously high and teams at this point in the season, if he is on a team that has a chance at winning a championship and you are more in rebuild mode, he's a player that was not available that you could try to actually go acquire. Because even if he sucks the rest of the season, he doesn't get healthy. They don't fix their issues. He is a super young, talented running back that they will be building this franchise around. So I would certainly be trying to trade for him in dynasty if you're in that situation. So where were you at with Pierce or Jonathan Taylor? Are you saying like, I would take the Pierce side? Okay. So if you have Pierce, you wouldn't trade him for Taylor? I would not. Okay. I think after hearing you guys laid all out, if I had Pierce, if I can trade for Johnny Taylor,
but also another running back who's at least going to get touches. You know, so let me look at the list. Like, how far down do you have to go? I mean, like. Brian Robinson. Yeah, like a Brian Robinson, A.J. Dillon, guys who are not tearing it up right now, Melvin Gordon. But you know that they will at least get some touches. So it kind of gives you some insurance as you wait. for Jonathan Taylor to come back, it's a high, high variance, high upside move because that can turn into the league winning situation. The worst, Jason, you laid it out. The worst part of talking about this is I think there's a, when the season is done, there will be a definitive answer and you will either be a genius or you will be stupid that you made the move that you traded Jonathan Taylor or traded for him.
I will be the side of, I will take Damien Pierce definitively. Okay. I don't think, I think there's a world Jonathan Taylor comes back is completely healthy and Damian Pierce is a better fantasy running back. And then I don't have the injury concerns. I mean, Damian Pierce has been like top 12, four times in six weeks. So that's the side I go on with pain, with immense pain. But I want to accept the now. Jonathan Taylor, would you trade him away for Amari Cooper and Najee Harris? No. No, no, Najee is. worse than Jonathan Taylor. Naji might be worse than Jonathan Taylor sitting. So, no, I would rather have Jonathan Taylor there. If I could turn, if you, like, obviously these are all true in reverse. Good. I mean, like, don't discount. I mean, I think you're, it's interesting that you're so quick to turn down, like, Amari Cooper's in that trait. Amari Cooper is a top 10 wide receiver right now.
gets Miami this week and a couple weeks gets Houston. His playoff run is Baltimore, which is probably not great at this point, but then the Saints and the Manders. And I don't know. That trade is interesting to me because I think you get a big, big wide receiver upgrade. And then you get a running back who's not tearing it up, but is at least four of his last five games, Najee has been under 10 fantasy points. He's had single digit fantasy points. and is seemingly actively hurting rosters right now. Sure. I get getting Amari Cooper, but that's not worth it. I still believe that Jonathan Taylor will get healthy this season and be good at some point. The worry is at a month from now. Like I don't think Jonathan Taylor ends the season as a schlub. So what's the technical definition of that?
The technical definition of a slub is someone that scores around 10 fantasy points every week. A nausea? Right. Exactly. Wait, 10 is the floor to be a schlub? Yeah. The slub is running back's nice. Yeah. A slub's got to be six or below. Oh, man. That's, that's too hard. You are, you are putting a slub up on a pest pedestal here. Yeah. That's a very bad term. I want some slubs. Okay. My take on him heading into the season was if it turns out that he's terrible, I'll go, eh. If it turns out he's great, I'll go, eh. But right now he's great. Well, PJ Walker is going to start again, Marcus Marieto on the other side. We got Cordero Patterson back, and we're going to get Chuba Hubbard back. He had a full practice. Deonta Foreman dominated against the Atlanta Falcons last time out. I believe in that game they had 10 straight scores between the teams. But Chuba will be back, and Deonti Foreman was bad last week. So where are you with Foreman's potential? I mean, the Falcons are so bad. And Chuba, even if Chuba is back,
I mean, full practice on Tuesday, that's interesting that, you know, and he had the limited practices the other week. But Gianta Foreman, after what he has done for this team, it's hard to imagine they don't give him most of at least the early carries. And early carries against the Atlanta Falcons, you can be very successful. Do not expect 118 and 3 this week against the Atlanta Falcons. But he, Foreman to me, looks like a usable running back too. Yeah, I would agree. Cordero, a must start in this game. Yes. Yeah. Cordero came right back into the fold after missing four weeks, was 13 for 44, two touchdowns, and just one reception. So the touchdowns really helped. They said they were going to limit him. They did. I mean, Tyler Algier had a nice game as well, but Patterson should get more work in this game. Yeah, I think Tyler Algier is probably the most interesting name in this game outside of Lockjaw. So Tyler Algier, no.
Did you get good feedback on that? Yeah, I think the people like the lockjaw. The people I'm referring to as Kyle. They don't like lockjaw as in the issue. No, no, no, no. That's awful. Like, uh, just like terrorist monster junior. Um, no, but Tyler Algier is, he has played his way into a permanent role, I believe. When you saw the season open up and Cordero was awesome, he was still not. You know, it took an injury ahead of him before he got that, like, huge workload. I don't think they want to give him, you know, 25 carries. That's not their game plan. Obviously, injury can dictate that. But I think Tyler Algier is good for double-digit carries in this game. Yeah, he dipped from 14 to 10 last week, but he had a 44-yard run and almost hit the 100-yard mark. Just one catch. He was, he has been at times targeted, but.
It'll be, it's a risky play. Would you rather play Chuba or Algier? Algier. Chuba coming back off of the ankle injury and the success that Foreman had last time these two teams played. That's close though. No longer existing on the plane of fantasy existence. Drake London. Yeah. You need to just not think about that at all. DJ Moore, disappointing. Because you will get horrifically angry. Yeah, I mean, it's just not. It's not an, this is what the Falcons are why target chair can't be the only thing you look at. Yeah, I mean, you have to, you have to take that into consideration with the team and the offense as a whole. It's just one piece. But even still seven, he had seven targets last week. And it turned into three for 23. He had five targets the week before that in the big bonanza of a game against Carolina. It was four for 31. All the evidence you need. Not all targets are made the same. And Mario to targets aren't good.
They're just not. All the downfield targets to Cal Pitts sucked. All the targets to Drake London sucked. They're just... The number eight overall pick. Yeah. What are you doing? Well, I mean, they threw the ball to them just poorly. Right? Like seven targets is enough, but you just want better targets going his way. I think DJ Moore is an absolutely great play. I do worry a little bit about the rain if it gets... Too bad, but we saw him 11 targets two weeks ago against Atlanta, 152 yards. Last week was disappointing because they were down the entirety of the game. He ends up just two for 24. Cincinnati beat the tar out of them. They did. You got the bad PJ Walker. Like, PJ Walker can be, can be very good for fantasy football and can be just an absolute destruction. Yeah, I think, I think it's as risky as DJ Moore always is, right? I mean.
There's never been a game that it didn't seemingly line up for DJ Moore to be good. It feels like. So I definitely think he could replicate and have a big game. Two weeks ago, he had that monster or Hail Mary touchdown in the ballgame. Had him, you know, 152 yards. Yeah, AJ Terrell is still not practicing right now for the Falcons. That's big news. They just don't have people that can really stop DJ Moore. I don't think. They have PJ Walker. Sure. It's certainly. Like what do you mean when you say he's a good play then? Where do you think he finishes this week? I think he finishes as a wide receiver two. And pretty much every wide receiver two should be started. Kyle Pitts. Oh, interesting. Right now, quarterbacks are fascinating in fantasy football this year because I do feel like there's a handful that you pretty much need to compete. Usually it's like, oh, find this guy off of waivers, that guy off of waivers, but there's a few that just have a ceiling you can't reach. Those are the teams that seems like it's going to be in the playoffs. So, you know, unless you have a path for grabbing someone like Tua, who I think has a really nice ceiling and could be easily acquired. I don't want to give up at Jalen Hertz, but D-Hop is awesome. So I think it's fair value. If I was drafting, I would draft Hopkins right now ahead of Hertz. Because you would just take the replacement value of quarterback. Exactly.
