Fantasy Football 2017 - Week 4 Waivers, QB Streams, Stay Calm

All right, some familiar names at the top of the running back list. Worth mentioning in case you are in the small percentage of leagues in which they are not owned, specifically Chris Thompson, probably about 15 to 25% of leagues, not owned. Yeah, just a reminder that he should be owned. Tarique Cohen. Somehow is still not owned. It is right. Yeah, we double checked the number. It's right now in ESPN. He's available in still the majority, which is crazy.

And it seems impossible. It is impossible. What's funny about these waiver shows is, you know, we're throwing out the names. You're saying this guy's widely available. But if you're in an ESPN league or you're in a Yahoo league, it's very different. We sound ridiculous, right? We're saying, hey, you need to go pick up Treek Cohen. The people over in Yahoo are like, he's owned everywhere. You guys are idiots. He's owning 85% of leagues. But somehow in ESPN, it's only 40% of leagues. And then you go to a guy like CJ Pro Seiss.

And the ESPN people are like, you guys are idiots. He's owning 80% of leagues. But in Yahoo, he's only owned an 18% of leagues. Can someone tell me what is going on? The reason this happens is because when you go to pick up free agents, there's recommendations based on where you're playing, whatever they're projected to do this week, whatever the ownership is. And so the trends just escalate on their own platforms. But that's why we give out these games. These gaps are.

They make no sense. The pro size and Cohen numbers make me feel like ESPN is displaying ownership percentage from two weeks ago. What about Duke Johnson? Like a two week. That's why I don't want to read. I just don't bring the names up. I don't want to read too much into the exact science behind. Okay, maybe it's 40, maybe it's 50. It doesn't matter. They're available in some percentage of leagues. Chris Carson, he owns the backfield in Seattle. He needs to be owned. Plain and simple. No snaps. No play. I think one snap.

and no touches for Thomas Rawls. He needs to be on. C.J. Pro Seis, interesting. He had a higher snap percentage this week. He was only four for nine on the ground but had three for 65 on five targets. He's a past catching guy. He's a PPR guy. Yeah, and Duke Johnson, another PPR guy. If those guys are out there, they should be picked up because all of them are startable. I want to tell people to get Deonti Forman. You need to get Deonti Foreman. The relying.

The ability for Bill O'Brien to rely on Deante Foreman is increasing week over week. We saw big plays in the passing game. He runs with a different kind of flavor. Oomph. Oomph than Lamar Miller. And it's rare to have a player that I think you could spot start like Deonti Foreman will become. And yet, if Miller went down, could be a top.

12 top 15 guy because of volume. And so I like to have those guys on my bench because if I'm going to take a chance on somebody, give me a chance on somebody that can be a difference maker in my league. I think Yalta Foreman's a great guy to spend on if you are a team that is performing well and does have a little bit of time to see what happens in that backfield. The name I want to throw out is a guy who I have not said very many positive things about, but Wendell Smallwood. Definitely. He.

He got 12 carries, had 71 yards. I mean, he had a very solid performance. The bigger thing is, Darren Sproles is gone. Darren Sproles is out for the year with his ACL and broken arm injuries. What is the team doing with Legerick Blunt? I have no idea. The guy goes from no carries to being a double-digit touch guy to being the goal line guy. I don't think even they know what they're doing with Laguerre Blunt right now.

But Wendell Smallwood saw his snap percentage jump from the 20s to over 50 when Darren Sproles went out this past week. So he is a name that I think is a must pickup at this point. And he's the most likely to go into that Darren Spurl's role. I'll also throw out Corey Clement. He looked great in preseason and has looked good in regular season with Danelle Prumfrey and Darren Sproul's both on IR. You basically got three backs there.

And I think right now all three probably should be owned and rostered until we know. Until we figure out the direction. Because it is a good offense. It is a good offensive line. They should be able to run the ball. And you've seen flashes, you know, at least from Corey Clement, he's looked good behind that line so far. All three Eagles running backs, very similar to the Seattle situation when we didn't know whether it was Lacey Rawls or Carson. Sproles, we know, out for the season, torn ACL broken arm.

That's why Jason's saying, hey, let's put these guys on a roster and wait to see how things shake out. Other names to mention Alvin Camara. He scored. I think Camara is an excellent stash at this point. This is a wait-and-see upside potential of... Would you rather have Alvin Camara stash or Jamal Charles stash? Camara, probably. I think I lean... I think I lean Jamal. Yeah, I do.

We knew, I mean, look at the, look at what the rookie running backs have done this year. We knew that Camaro was in consideration to be a guy. I think an injury has to have him for Camara to get the level of touches for consistency, but I don't mind him as a cursor, yeah, like you said, at least he has the youth and the upside. Other names that you guys want to mention, you know, anything in the handcuff world, you know, let's talk about Zeke's situation. Zeke right now, there's a hearing on October 2nd.

which means he's guaranteed to play this next week. If for some reason something went wrong at that hearing, you could see the suspension instituted immediately. Who's the back to own? Is it Morris or McFadden? Right now you want to get both. I mean, I wouldn't take both if they're both available because you've got to take a shot. I still, I know it sounds so weird, but I still believe that it would be Darren McFadden. I do too. Morris had no touches. Yeah, I mean. So I would be grabbing. That's the same as me. I would be grabbing.

Darren McFadden, but if he's, you know, if, if Al, he's, Darren McFadden should be available because he's been inactive the last two weeks, dropped everywhere. He's going to be fresh. Yeah, he's, he should be on your waivers. I would pick him up just for a one week hold because he could end up becoming the next eight weeks starting running back for, for the Cowboys. And, and so by that logic, Alfred Morris has just as good a shot right now. So you should pick him up, but he's probably more owned already. Yeah, being a Zeke owner, it's really fun.

Really a treat, nice, dramatic impact to your psyche. I mean, it's a roller coaster, man. You don't want life to just be this flat, boring ground. This smooth ascent to victory. Who wants that? I would also throw out Mack Brown. I alluded to him earlier. He is the backup. I mean, he's just a guy. But if they bench Somage P. Ryan because of the fumble and Rob Kelly doesn't play, you're talking about.

a starting running back. Once that happened, once P. Ryan basically went down and Rob Kelly was out last week, he got six carries. I think he ran for like five yards of carry. Yeah, 27 yards. Yeah, I mean, he was, he looked all right. And if he's got the roll, it's going to be valuable. So he's a deeper pickup option. Brandon Oliver is a good handcuff right now because Melvin Gordon, they say it's nothing. But he went back in the game and then came out. And so that says,

he could do that again. You guys comfortable moving on to some tight ends? I just want to throw out that James Connor is very low owned and I think he should be owned in every single league. By the Lev Bell owner. Yes. Yeah, that's the rookie running back in Pittsburgh. And Matt Berita, the San Francisco 49ers running back should also be rostered because the guy in front of him is generally made of glass. He's got the effort going on. Yeah.

Carlos Hyde. That's actually what people scream out when something hurts. Yeah. I've hurt. I've hurt my knee. Oh, I've hurt my knee. Oh, I've hurt. The parents were prophetic. Totally. I've hurt. I've hurt. That's his new name. I've hurt. Yeah. Tyler, I've hurt. Tyler, I've hurt my knee. I've hurt. I've hurt my back. Well, how are you doing over there, Brooks? I'm doing good. Good. I could hear you saying I've hurt as well. Yeah.

And we talked about Andre Ellington, but also worth. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. If you want to pick somebody to be disappointed with. Disappointed with. Looked enough further than whoever I am rostering at running back each week these days. All right. Ben Watson, Evan Ingram, ASJ, six targets for ASJ. Austin Sfarion Jenkins. Yes. Austin Svary and Jenkins, New York Jets tight end. Evan Ingram, New York Giants tight end. I'm impressed with.

both of those guys from a target share perspective, which would you rather have? Which would you rather roster? The youth and upside of Ingram? Or would you rather have ASJ being kind of like a limited... That's a really good question. I think right now I would have to lean on the quarterback situation and that would be Eli Manning and I would take Evan Ingram. Is Eli Manning that much better than Josh McCown? Yeah. Because here's what Eli Manning does.

Eli Manning gets pressure and he falls on his booty to make sure that he stays in the game. Here's what Josh McCown does. He sees pressure. He's still playing right now. He runs directly at it with his helmet first and says, I can destroy you. And he will not play the whole season. I'm invincible. So for that reason, I'm more confident in the longevity of Evan Ingram. But I like both guys. Sure. And Austin Sfarion Jenkins was tied for the, you know, the lead in targets the first time in a game.

Vernon Davis. Vernon Davis is one of the past catchers that does have a rapport with Cousins. If Reed is missing more time, Vernon Davis is a great streaming option. He's my number one tight-in pickup. Is he really? Yeah, he is because I trust Jordan Reed about as much as I trust Tyler Eifert when it comes to injuries. So you would not co-sign alone with either of those guys? No, not unless it was an insurance. What about Hyde? You wouldn't sign one with Carlos Hyde either. No.

No, there's certain guys. You have trust issues, man. Yeah, you know, you call it trust issues. I call it. I like healthy guys. See, Greg Olson and I signed a loan earlier this year. That didn't work. Based on his history. It didn't work out. Yeah, I'm paying it off now. No good. Saddled me with all of it. Saddle me with that debt. Look, the tight-in position's been a challenge this year. If you're not gronking it, who did get banged up, but he's obviously been amazing. If you're not gronking it or Ertzing it,

Yeah, and you mentioned Ben Watson. He was not as involved this last week, but he did get the touchdown. I still. Garbage touchdown. It was. I still like Ben Watson. I mean, the whole Ravens game was just a mess beyond a mess in London. Well beyond. Well beyond. I mean, you're talking hoarders level of, oof, of mess. Yeah. So I would still take a fly around Ben Watson. And I want to say you may have the desire to fully rage drop.

Jack Doyle. And Hunter Henry. I don't, oh, Hunter. I'm done with Hunter Henry. I am done with Hunter Henry. I am done with Hunter Henry. Oh, I'm not playing that coin flip. When two out of three games, I said last week don't sign him. The guy has zero. I mean, no, no, thank you. Jack Doyle is capable. He's getting targets. And his all-star quarterback is going to be back in a few weeks. Defensive streaming options this week on the waiver wire.

I see a bunch of names here that you guys have put in here. Green Bay takes on Chicago. They're only owned in 7% of ESPN leagues. I see Tennessee hosting Houston. I see Tampa hosting the Giants. I don't really love that based on. I actually have Eli Manning as my stream of the week this week. And I saw problems. I mean, if Case Keenham can carve up that secondary in Tampa, I'm not going to bank on that. Here's who I'd rather play as a streaming option. I'd much rather play Detroit.

who's currently the number one. It's been great. They're the number one defense. They've been double digit depending on your scoring, but I mean they, 16, 16, 12 in our league, and they play Minnesota. And, yes, Case Keenam had it, a very good week. But if there's one team that is intercepting the ball consistently this year, it's been Detroit. I think there are going to be opportunities there. I would prefer playing Detroit than I would Tampa. The team that I'm targeting the most would be the Bengals. I believe their defense is.

fully legit. I mean, their defense has really kept them in games that Andy Dalton has tried to get them out of. And they played the Cleveland Rams. Tried and succeeded. Yeah. Right now, Andy Dalton is beating the Bengals defense. Nice. Anybody else that Jaguars take on the Jets over at Yahoo, they're available in over 50% of leagues, and that's a slam dunk. Full stream ahead. All right.

Whoa. Unlike last week. Frightening. Last week was very difficult to pick a good streaming matchup. Now, most of them worked out very well because all of the mediocre quarterbacks did great this past week in the NFL. This week there are plenty. Thanks to Sean Kaiser. Yeah. Kaiser's fantasy stud right now.

He can run the ball. He gets rushing touchdowns. He looks down the field, which a lot of times rookie quarterbacks don't do. I love. Is it regular Tim Tebow? What you're seeing in Kaiser, except. Don't put that on Kaiser. From a fantasy perspective, he gets it done by. Tebow was great for fantasy. Because he ran. He didn't throw deep. Yeah, okay. Kaiser has, I think he has rushing touchdowns in two of his three games. But.
