The one, the only, the nickname. This music is just too good. I'd like to make Brooks do that intro someday. Yeah, yeah. The amount of sweat pouring off of him, it wouldn't be that smooth. That was smooth, Jay. Thanks. I'm tempted to let this 15 seconds go. Well, you got to do what you've got to do when you got this grade of music. Oh.

128 passagesFootclanvote.com vote right now for the footies! Yeah! I just wanted the finish. It just seemed important. I also kind of wanted like a cane and some tap shoes to get up. Ooh. Very nice. Are we all going to wear T for Tats on Thursday for the actual awards? Brooks, can you go to that top hat store down the street? You bet. Thanks. Grab and swing by the Monocle store while you're at it. Are we wearing those? Yes.
Yeah, see. I feel like you go into a different cat. I don't remember a lot of like game show hosts wearing monocles. Oh, I wasn't thinking game show host. I was thinking award shows. Yeah. I was singing the old Hollywood. Monocles? I'm not seeing the monocles there either. Oh, well. Monicles are for the, you know. The elite. No, they're not for the elite. They're for the old man that's like, you know, studying in a room.
He's not out on stage. He's got one bad eye. I just want to wear a monocle. You are totally allowed to wear a monocle. In fact, I would say on Thursday, if you show up here without a monocle, the world will be disappointed. All right, here are the official footy nominations. Again, vote on footclanvote.com. Vote at footclan vote. Vote on footclan vote. Vote in footclanvote.com. It's one of them.
Number one, the performance of the year. Which single week performance was the most impressive this year? The nominees are. I don't know if this has ever been done before. That one player represents two weeks. It has. It has. It has. Yeah. The thing about great players is they tend to have all the best weeks. I'm, Julio had a couple weeks like that. I'm going to toss the nominations to you guys. So.
Who are the nominees for the best single week performance of the year? You got that Julio Jones monster game where he had 253 yards of two touchdowns in week 12. The aforementioned double up from Todd Gurley. Will he split his own vote? Wait and see. But weeks 15 and 16, you have the week 15 game with four touchdowns. And the week's 16 game, you know, the championship week with 100 on the ground, 100 through the air. So those were great. Of course.
No one can forget week one, Kareem Hunt. I mean, that was such a performance. Welcome to the NFL. It opened the season and you got to see something so beautiful. And we've got an honorable mention. I mean, you're welcome to vote for him. But Amari Pooper, I'm sorry, Mari Cooper, Week 7, that was where he went 11 receptions for 210 yards, two touchdowns. That is a straight up honorable mention. Oh, yeah.
I mean, he's not going to win. Because Julio beat him in all of those. All right. Fantasy Reaper's Man of the Year, which player's painful injury hurt fantasy owners the very most and the nominees are. The nominee list could have been 38 long. We had to trim it up. David Johnson. Oh, David Johnson. Week one goes down, Andrew Luck. I guess David Johnson.
was a lot better than Andrew Luck. That's true. He actually helped people we won. He had a decent game. Carson Wentz, Aaron Rogers, O'Dell Beckham Jr., Deshawn Watson, and Dalvin Cook rounding out the Fantasy Reaper's Man of the Year. No honorable mentions there. Those are all legit. Dishonorable mentions. Unfortunate. All right. The third award is the Poopiest Pants Award. Despite high expectations, this player let down fantasy owners over and over again, and the nominees are.
Oh, you got a bad list here. Amari Cooper, DeMarco Murray, Jordi, Nelson, Jay Ajay, and Terrell Pryor. Domster Fire. You cannot be that. Number four, the Waver Wire Wonder, which undrafted WaverWire stud was the best signing of the 2017 year, and the nominees are. You got a lot of good running backs. Jamal Williams helped people out a lot. So did Alex Collins, great pickup.
At the beginning of the year, Chris Thompson was... He was dominant. He was a complete force. And Jerich McKinnon probably has, you know, the longest stretch of the season after Darwin Cook went down. But there are some wide receivers out there. Devin Funches was a guy picked up off of waivers who looked for a stretch like a wide receiver one. And Robbie Anderson. Oh. Yeah, and Robbie Anderson. So you got a good list of guys. This year didn't have the Justin Forset.
The one guy that when you picked up early in those first four weeks of the season, went on to the whole stretch. So I'm really curious who wins this. If Mike Glennon was able to hold the quarterback job for the Chicago Bears, I mean, that's a, that would have been amazing, first of all. But I think if Mike Glennon had held on to, I think Therick Cohen would have been that guy. Unfortunately, he didn't. He did not. Nor was he nominated. Well, it was too short-lived.
All right, fantasy wide receiver of the year. And for all of these wide receiver running back tied in and quarterback of the year, the way you look at that vote is when factoring in draft position, big game performances, and impact to fantasy teams everywhere, which player deserves the footy? For fantasy wide receiver of the year, the nominees are Mike. DeAndre Hopkins, Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Tyreek Hill.
Larry Fitzgerald and Adam Thielen. Yeah, you got guys at the top. It's going to be tough. Late in the draft. What made the bigger impact for your team? That's right. At the fantasy running back of the year, the nominees are Todd Gurley, Levy on Bell, Kareem Hunt, Alvin Camara, and his teammate, Mark Ingram. Oh.
I think that's the first time for sure. We've ever had teammates in a position. I wanted to leave a little room there in case you were going to tutute your Mark Ingram love from the offseason. Well, he was one of my guys. Thank you, Andy. Fantasy tight end of the year nominees are Mike. We have Rob Grunkowski. Never heard of him. Of course. Travis Kelsey. Zach Ertz, Evan. You didn't pause at Zach Ertz. No. No, I did not.
Evan, you are insufferable today. I know it, man. Well, Andy just reminded me. Go on. And Jimmy Graham, Jimmy Graham, rounding it out with his 10 touchdowns. Did you say Evan Ingraham? I did. Evan Angram, Jimmy Graham with his. Did he get 10? Hold on. Let me verify that. Yes, it was 10 touchdowns. Wow. He's going to get paid. He's going to make money. This is his first and last time to do this. He efforted it.
Yes, and that's good enough. Yeah. Who's Eifford again? It's Jimmy Graham now. Or it's actually now it's Tyler Croft. Fantasy quarterback of the year nominees, Jason. Oh, so you got Russell Wilson and Alex Smith. They've been great Cam Newton. And we threw on. Oh, my guy? Cam Newton. You're guy Cam Newton. And Carson Wins and Deshawn Watson. Both absolutely deserving for that. They were revelations. We're not.
We're not going to forget you just because you got injured. No. No. Otherwise, we'd forget all NFL players. Right. All right. Nickname of the year. Oh. Which nickname from the show was your very favorite? You got to vote for one. The list is huge. And we know, Funkland, we know that there are names that perhaps are near and dear to your heart that we had to leave off. But we had to do it. We've got most of them there. We had to pare it down. We paired it down to like 15. Yes. So we're starting with. Devin.
Are we construction? We've got Smash Jackson. Smash Jackson. Paul Perkins himself. We've got. Oh, so smooth. Kenny G. Kenny G., Kenny Galladay of the Detroit line. So smooth. Except for when he was injured. Which was most of the season. He got better at the end, just like this note right here. Oh, what a nose. Hey.
Start strong, finish strong. There you go. That's the Kennedy Model. A delicious sandwich. Don't even listen to the middle part of the song. And then, of course, we have the duel. Yeah. Fire jumps of fire. You never sang Crossfire. It's Terrell prior. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Terrell prior. Thank you. We also have the Tomb Raider himself, Tyler Croft. We got baby hands, Jack Doyle.
It's got weak. Baby hands. Some of these nicknames they would not want. No. Probably all of them. It's too late. Smoochers would want his, though. Smooch. That's so disturbing in my ears, man. You've got Super Camario. The Game Genie himself, Alvin Camara. Camara. We'll call him Kamara for this nickname's sake. Have a Super Camario is for Alvin Kamara. And Game Genie is for Alvin Camara. There you go.
He has two names. And then, of course. He eats your children. He'll eat your children this holiday season. Doug Martin. He definitely ate your bench. Also known as crampus. He always said he hated the nickname muscle hamster. And he wants a different nickname. You're welcome, Doug. He got crampus. We may get a phone call from Doug. That is the worst nickname. That's the best. I feel like we should be allowed to be sued for that.
By Doug Martin, it's so bad. Oh. You've got the great. Oh, the one, the only. King Goughrey himself. Gary Gawry. And don't forget about Marquise Greatwin. Yes. A simple but effective name change from Marquise Goodwin. That's right. And then Mr. Necessary, Charles Clay. His teammate, Mr. Very Necessary when Charles Clay went down. Nicolary.
You've got, where's the beef Jacobi Berset? Oh, that one is so good. You got pain bot, Somaget P. Ryan. Samajet Paynebot was, Mike Original. Was feeling the pain this past week. I feel like he got injured a lot. The pain knows. It's not just for others. All he knows is pain. For him, for his, everyone. You also have. Ricky. Seals Jones. If a seal noise is a nickname, right? If this thing comes in with any kind of percentage, I am just.
I'm leaving the show. Don't, don't encourage it. You can't tamper the vote. Yeah, you're going to mess the vote up by saying that. The people will stand by it. Kevin Coleman. I wasn't ready. Tavin Coleman. The Coleman. The Coleman himself. And then, of course, Blake, the snake. A final entry. I got a snake, man.
Blake the snake. Blake the snake is sneaking in. He's a late. He's a late comer. He's like a snake man. See how fun it is? It's rough and it's only in the right channel. I know. It's only in the right channel. It's like a whisper into my ear and it's terrible. I got a snake man. It's so terrible. Wacky FM DJ over here. He's like the.
The movie that they had, they snuck in with the December release. You know, we, just, just to try and win an award. We did this wrong. How this is not, you know, the last, the, the nickname should always be the final. Well, on the show, on the, the reveal on Thursday. Yes, it'll be the last one. We'll move it to this. Of course. Breakout player of the year, which player was Fantasy Football's breakout player this year? A lot of good options. Carson Wince came out. Adam Feelein, Alvin Camara.
Karim Hunt and Zach Ertz all busted through that wall and said, look, I'm a star. I'm a superstar. Andy is cackling over here. I'll tell you later. Rookie of the year. Which player was Fantasy Football's rookie of the year? Mike, the nominees. Alvin Camero. Karim Hunt, they're pretty good. Yeah, they're pretty good. Then you have Leonard Fernette, Evan Engram, Deshawn Watson, and Cooper Cup. That's right, people.
your leading rookie receiver Cooper Cup. Do you with it. Wow. That's great. Comeback player of the year. Which fantasy player amazed you the most in their return to relevance? Yeah. So Todd Gurley obviously came back with a vengeance. DeAndre Hopkins did as well. Cam Newton. He said, hey, remember 2015? I'm still pretty good. Keenan Allen healthy and with a monster season. And.
Alex Smith. Interesting. It's interesting that maybe he should be breaking. I almost feel like he doesn't belong there. You know, because he did not, he's never been this kind of a player. No, not this. But he's been a quarterback one, a fringe quarterback one before. And you can't really like a single game. And we debated with like, does he belong in the breakout? Does he belong in the comeback? But the breakout is like, okay, you've broken out. This player's going to be great now.
