Week 10 Waivers + Full Stream Ahead, Ride the Lightning - Fantasy Football Podcast for 11/10

Seattle. That's a pretty nice stretch over the next three weeks. And then you have the possible return of Debo Samuel, wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. Really a wide receiver slash running back. He gets involved. Christian Kirk, I find myself, I find it very difficult to really buy into what Christian Kirk has done. At least last week we saw some downfield stuff.

And then Alan Lazard for the Green Bay Packers, he has been practicing now for a few weeks, was on the IR. I think he comes back much sooner than later, was great in those couple games. It looks like Aaron Rogers has his mojo cooking. So of those four players, how would you guys prioritize him? I think you're really undervaluing Christian Kirk. Yeah, I agree. This is a player. Three, three weeks, he's been great. And we don't have problems, you know.

kind of endorsing a second wide receiver for any of the top tier quarterbacks. And here's Christian Kirk. He's definitively the number two. He's scored five times in three weeks. He's got Buffalo Seattle on the schedule. They don't have a real viable other option. I mean, Arnold will catch a pass here or there. Fitzgerald here or there. Kirk is coming into his own, and this is two out of three weeks where he's had a long touchdown as well. So.

Yeah, the two names that stick out to me as the clear-cut best pickups or the ones that I'm most curious about sticking around long term are Christian Kirk and Curtis Samuel. Amazingly, these guys have almost identical seasons. They both basically stunk the entire first four or five games dealing with little injuries. And then the last three games for each of them, the last four weeks, because both teams have had a buy in that stretch.

They've been phenomenal. Literally over the last four weeks on a per game basis, Curtis Samuel is the wide receiver five. Christian Kirk's the wide receiver two. It's three games in a row. They're on fire. And those are the two I would pick up. But if I had a tie break between those two, I do look at the situation and say, Christian Kirk is the two. Larry Fitzgerald isn't going to do something where he's now the top 10 wide receiver for fantasy on a week.

over Christian Kirk, whereas the three-headed monster with Robbie Anderson and DJ Moore. And it's really four-headed with the backfield because you're not throwing the ball to Edmonds or Drake, but you do throw the ball to McCaffrey. So I think I would put Kirk number one, especially with the schedule coming up. I don't believe that he is week in and week-out reliable and he's just going to be awesome the way he's been the last three weeks, but I don't believe that about Curtis Samuel either. So Jalen Rager is not in that.

list that no he's he's the next tier down i mean so far jalen rager has been okay but i don't know first of all he's probably the two i think fulgum has established himself at least right now as the one and then you're talking about a downgrade from you know from kailer murray and what he's been slinging around in the pace plate to carson wins who is serviceable if you close your eyes

Yeah, that is the prescription for starting Carson wins. And I agree with everything you're saying. I think that makes Kirk – I mean, Kirk has had eight targets two weeks in a row. Kirk has a historical rapport with Kyler, and injuries have kind of derailed him from getting going. But you know that they look to him around the goal line as well. They have designed plays for him down there. I would – I'd put Kirk up there. I'm not – I hate to say this. I'm not buying the Samuel breakout. I'm not at all.

I think that this is something where there's just too many mouths to feed. And one week is good. Look, we've seen the DJ Moore week. We've seen Robbie Anderson weeks. Curtis Samuel is going to have, he's going to disappoint some people. I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying the Devo Samuel. I'm in on, I'm agreeing with you that Curtis Samuel is. It feels like Casey. It could keep going, but it.

If you look at the numbers and really what's happening here, it does feel like a bit of a mirage. Okay, so back to when it really started happening for him in the past three weeks. Six for 48. Yep. Like five for 31. Okay, but he had a one, he had one rushing attempt, and he scored on that one. Okay, he turned it into a fine day. Four for 31. Okay, well, but he scored, and then he carried the ball three times and scored. It's...

touchdowns. This last week against Kansas City is the first time you saw any real volume, real production. That wasn't just a Todd Gurley line, as I will refer to it this year, where they just, they do nothing, but then they score and it just, it keeps happening. It could keep happening for Curtis Samuel, though. I would try to trade. But I would try and trade Curtis Samuel as well if you got him. Jacobi Myers has been impressive. I mean, when you have 12 catches on 14 targets.

and your offense is devoid of pass catching weapons. He's interesting. I mean, it was his 24th birthday last night. He's a player that if he's the go-to receiver, are you considering rostering Jacobi Myers? No, I'm not for two reasons. One is the New York Jets. That's who they just played. And two is the Baltimore Ravens. That's who they're about to play. I don't know that what cam.

is really doing offensively if his number one wide receiver is going to matter most weeks. There will be weeks where his number one wide receiver is fantasy relevant. I don't project that to be the case with Baltimore and their defense that's been shutting people down. Do you think that Jacoby Myers will have 10 targets this week? Sure, maybe. I would take the under, but it would be eight or nine targets. But if those eight or nine targets turn into...

Three for 36, I won't be surprised. Mike, are you playing Jacoby Myers or are you playing Nelson Aguilar? Who do the Raiders play? Denver. I'm looking for a spot start at the wide receiver. Between those two, I would probably go with Agilor, but I want to play Jalen Rager over those two. Yes. Yeah, I would play Rager over those two. I want to make the case here for Jacobi Myers, though. He did nothing the beginning of the season. He was then actually inactive on game day.

Julian Edelman goes down. I mean, they have injuries throughout the entire team. Jacobi Myers comes back, comes back to an 80% snap share six targets. The next week against Buffalo, 98% of the snaps, 10 targets. 99% of the snaps, 14 targets. He has become the de facto number one. It may not last the whole season, but I mean, if you listen, if you watch the game, you heard the blurb, they hope, the Patriots hope it's not season ending.

for Julian Edelman. That's not a ringing endorsement for an old wide receiver who just had knee surgery. So I think Jacoby Myers is worth to pick up. Maybe Jason's right. You don't want to play him against Baltimore, but Houston, Arizona, the Chargers. So after that, you got a really nice stretch here with Jacobi Meyer. Now, what is the timeline on Nikiel Harry? Do we have...

Any expectation there because obviously Julian Edelman. If Nikiel Harry is healthy, do you have any expectation for Nikiel Harry? Not, I don't have expectation for Nikiel Harry to be relevant, but I do think that Nikiel Harry coming back changes whether or not Jacobi Myers getting 10 targets a game if you've got another big bodied wide receiver that Cam would throw the ball to. That's all I'm saying. Not that, not I want to pick up Harry, but that that could.

be part of what's going on. No to kill Harry, no Julian Edelman. Now, Julian Edelman is gone, so some of this is going to stick. But I think we should talk a little bit more in depth about the person Andy brought up as would you play this person, which is Nelson Agilor. Nelson Agalore is who I should have taken from my taking it up to 100. I said, him or Ruggs is going to get a touchdown. I picked poorly.

But he's been really solid. Now, he's not getting the targets that you really love, but what targets he's getting are valuable. He's just been a touchdown machine. And I know you can't really rely on touchdowns, but Denver, Kansas City, Atlanta, the Jets. The next month is a pretty nice schedule. He seems like he's been the number one for Derek Carr. Are you guys interested in playing Aguilar? Are you open to that? Would you bid on him? No, I wouldn't.

I'm open to picking him up as a spot start, but Nelson Aguilar, to me, is not a player that I'm burning any priority on Tuesday. I'm not putting any fab. Maybe I'll put a zero in on him. But to me, he feels like a player Friday. I missed out on all my targets throughout the week. And then I go, okay, fine. Nelson Agloor, I'll pick you up and I'll throw you in the roster because no one else wants to play you. I agree with that. Alan Lazard should be back in week nine. If not week nine, it'll be...

Next week, Indianapolis and Chicago are the two after this week Jacksonville. Are you interested in the kind of just throwing them on the bench? It's tough because if he was active this week, the matchup is really good against Jacksonville. When we've seen Alan Lazard on the field, he's been good. He's been out there three games. He had three fantasy relevant performances. And obviously we know with what Aaron Rogers is doing right now, he could support two wide receivers. So I am interested in Alan Lazard.

He would be much higher up my list if I knew he was going to be active this week. Sure. If that was the case, I would rather pick him up and play him over Nelson Aguilar. My top three then are Kirk. I'll go Ray Gore next and then Jacobi Myers. So those would be my top three. You would have Jacobi Myers ahead of Debo? No, if Debo's out there, I guess I'm considering him rostered by most people. Okay, that's fair. It would be, you know, probably Kirk.

Debo, Rager Myers. Yeah. All right. What about you guys? I would go Kirk. And then I would still go Curtis Samuel second if he's out there. He's just been doing too much to ignore, even though it hasn't been volume-based. And then Jalen Rager. And Curtis Samuel is widely available. So he's rostered in 30% of Yahoo! He has the potential of just a scoop and trade. We talk about it. If I have Curtis Samuel, I'm going to look to trade him.

you might be able to get Curtis Samuel off the waiver wire and then and dangle him in front of the rest of your league and say, oh, you dummies, you should have picked him up, but I'm willing to trade him. So I think that's a possibility. My top three, though, I would go, yeah, I suppose I'll put Kirk at the top. He freaks me out a little bit, but Kirk, Rager, Diba would be my top three guys.
