Week 7 Waivers & QB Streamers, Jason Gets His Groove Back

Yeah. Cool. News and notes from around the league. I only say cool because I'm sitting here in Dynasty struggling, staring at Marshaun Lynch and Carlos Hyde with their feet in the mud and these teams that they're so game script dependent. It's just troubling. All right. News and notes, Adam Schaefter reporting the Cooper Cup has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain.

Not a season ender, but what's the story? That's usually a multi-week injury unless you're O.J. Howard, then you're just fine after you're by week, but you've got to expect Cooper Cup to miss some time. I imagine Breda would only miss a week, too. Breda would miss no time. He's full Wolverine. All right, Quincy and Nunra has a high ankle sprain. He's going to miss some time. Yeah, that's what we were talking about. We'll bring up Jermaine Kurtz's name in a little bit. Yeah, absolutely. Devante Freeman, Matt Bryant.

They're both expected to be out for week seven. That's a Monday night football game. It's better to know it now. You're going to have game time decision. Not only is it better to know it now because of the Monday night, but when a player's going to miss, thank you for telling us this early because he's officially out. And I can leave him in my I are and not worry that he's going to turn into a queue and ruin all my waivers in the morning. So that's great. However, Devonta Freeman, I mean.

DeMonte Freeman and Dalvin Cook are probably the two guys that have wrecked people's team more than anybody because they've been in enough to start them accidentally when they shouldn't, but they've pretty much missed the season. Yeah, and to be ruled out for a Monday night game, and he got ruled out yesterday on Monday. Hopefully Freeman will be back in a week, but there is definitely concern. Edo Smith? Yes.

All right, let's go to this news, Hugh Jackson, confirming Baker Mayfield's ankle injury will not affect his week's seven status. It's kind of, you know, you probably normally wouldn't be considering Baker, but we talked about the schedule, and we talked, you know, this week specifically with the bye weeks, Big Ben, Aaron Rogers, Russell Wilson, they're all out. So if you're in a league that's deeper, if you're in a league where you need to find a streamer, he's at least worth a sideways glance.

Oh, yes. I believe he is. He would have been probably my stream of the week. I do worry about the ankle a little bit from swelling and ruining some of his mobility that helps his game a lot. You saw kind of a – he did not look the same in the second half this last week. So he'll – it's not going to ruin his availability to be the starter, but it could ruin his ability as the starter. Nice.

Thanks. Nice. That was good. Bill's rookie, Josh Allen will not snart. That's what you call it. When Alan goes in, it's a snart. It's funny. It's like a snort. We have such a weird view. Josh Allen, obviously, he's trying to do something with nothing in Buffalo. He's so much better than there are other options. Yes. And yet it's so irrelevant for fantasy football. There's a day coming where he's relevant.

If they get him some weapons, just because he runs, man. Josh Town is not going to start, not considered a major injury, but he's probably going to miss more than one week. Yes, yes. He'll definitely miss more than one week, in my opinion, based on the injury and some of the people that I've been reading. This means start your, get this, Colts. And yes.

I am willing to start the Colts defense against Buffalo. The over under on one pick six, I'm taking the over because Nathan Peterman is great at throwing touchdowns to that other team. Yep. Where's the bell sound? Oh, do you want the... The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. They're reporting. The Steelers don't expect hold out Levine on ballot to report to the team this week. Who knows?

James Connor. Who knows what's going? I mean, here's the thing. This could get messy for everybody. It's, this is their bye week. So he can still return next week and be back in game action. But who knows? Who knows what Levian Bell is doing? I don't think he knows what he's doing. I think that I do not believe, and we talked about this yesterday and Jason wasn't there to weigh in. So I'll direct the question to Jason.

I'm starting to believe more and more with Connor's success that he will steal some of the snaps away from Lev Bell. Now, that might not matter in a very Camara Ingram way. It might not matter much to Lev Bell's bottom line, so to speak. But I don't think that they're going to push into the side. If you listen to the way Big Ben talks about him, if you listen to the way this team talks about him,

Yeah, I mean, it's not going to be what it was last year for live. It's so anti- Mike Tomlin. Mike Tomlin has always had a dedicated workhorse back when that guy goes down. The next guy up does not split. He's just the next guy forever. But James Connor is their future. James Connor is the running back that Mike Tomlin is going to work with over the next, you know, three, four years. So.

I would be hard-pressed to believe he's just going to disappear. I think James Connor will have value, and that means it'll eat in a little bit to Lev Bell. Does it give you any, are you in the same boat where you're still trying to move Connor right now? Look, I'm a Connor owner in our League of Record. I was offering him for, you know, Kenyon Drake this last week trying to get someone. Gross. Yeah, I mean, I've got a biopocalypse this week, so I would like to have a player. Was that turned down?

It was turned down. See, if I was a Kenyan Drake owner. Really? Yeah, I was shocked. That's lunacy. If I were, that's lunacy. If I were the left bell owner and I could trade Kenyon Drake for James Connor, I mean, I would write an algorithm to auto accept that offer before the season began. I mean, that's just. Yeah, that's rough. Because there is still the world where James Connor's relevant rest of the season. There is.

I feel like they could magically work out the buy weeks to be better with 16 games as well. If they did that, though, if they had the double buy, that would become a real strategic aspect of your season. Yeah, it will change. As opposed to, like a lot of the times in our drafting structure and the way you trade players all the time, we don't pay too much attention to the buy weeks until now, until you're in the season and you're making adjustments and streaming players. Yep. All right, let's start at the wide receiver position.

And let's get into the main pickups, the main guys that I'm excited about. And number one on the list for me is Far and Away, Germain Curse. Agreed. Germain Curst is a good player. He is a good wide receiver, and he has a competent quarterback. Quincy and Nunewa had great success with the target share he was receiving. He is out. Germain Curse returned, was more and more involved, and then in this past week had 10 targets.

for nine receptions in 94 yards. Terrell Pryor had a good week with Innuir's absence, and Terrell Pryor is banged up and may miss this week. So Jermaine Curse, to me, is an instant sign-in play. Do you remember last year when Jermaine Curse had a similar opportunity for targets? He had back-to-back weeks last year, seven for 105 and a touchdown, followed that up with nine for 157. So yes, Jermaine Curse.

is a guy that can get it done on the field. I don't really, you know, love the situation rookie quarterback, all that. But, I mean, Donald's been able to get it done enough. I agree that Curse would be the guy if I need a start that I would be going after. Yeah, he instantly becomes a wide receiver three to me, which is a guy that should be started. Yeah, those two games you referenced, he had 10 and 11 targets. I mean, he at least has.

performed to that level. You're not wondering if it's possible. He's by far my favorite. Do you look at Pryor as well because he's banged up and because the No, I was going to miss time five for 57 and one last week? I don't. No, I think you have to take your shot on who the guy's going to be. And I'm going to take the shot that it's going to be Jermaine Kirsten. And by the guy, I mean targets. Yes. That's all I care about. Yes, Robbie Anderson is the type that he could have three targets and have the best game.
