Welcome. What world is this? Live from Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's the fantasy footballers podcast. We have a great show for you today. This is a live event. This is being recorded on Thursday, June 21st, the Tuesday show. There was hesitation. Yeah, it's one of those you recorded before. You don't remember when it comes out, but...

2:29 ↗

We're excited we've got a live mailbag on the show today. We have fantasy legend Paul Chartian on the show today for a Minneapolis mailbag. We have Packer fans and Minnesota fans sitting in harmony. Maybe not. Maybe not. Fight, fight. We have a, we have a food-related quick question, which are the most delicious. It's my wheelhouse.

2:59 ↗

You know your stuff. And we've got a lot more. So super excited to be here. I do want to remind you, those that are listening that want to be a part of this, that are consuming this on the live stream, that are seeing all these beautiful faces. You can be one of them. Very beautiful. Very beautiful. You can be one of them. We're going to be in Dallas with special guest, Brad Evans, kicking off the end. Whoa. Oh, Brad Evans great.

3:25 ↗

That's Brad. You realize that you just fueled Brad. Oh, yeah. He loves that. Don't feed the noise. All right, but we're going to be with Brad kicking off the NFFC in Dallas and go to BallersLive.com. Check that out. That is three weeks away. I mean, that is coming up soon. So Dallas, we're coming. Get ready. And we'll be in Philadelphia. We'll be in New York at the end of the month. And then we will be... I know. I know. We're here right now. Is that not good enough? No.

3:55 ↗

I think that's more of a Philadelphia thing. Too soon. We're on to next year. And nice pandering, too. You switched back? That's your birthright. You enacted your birthright? I'm a man of the north, south, whatever. You can follow us on Twitter at the FF Ballers, which I know everybody out there does. That way you can see your beautiful faces because we're going to take a picture after this show of this incredible crowd and we'll tweet it out and you can be a part of it.

4:27 ↗

It is quick question time. This is an important one. Compare a player, a fantasy player, to a food item and the good and the bad. Make the comparison, Jason, sell it. All right. This is important. Kick us off here because food is great and also very evil, which is, look, I'm going to kick it off with a food that is a specialty of the North. Of the North. Poutine.

4:58 ↗

Yeah, if you don't know what Poutine is, if you're listening and you're like, did he just curse? No, Poutine is delicious. It is French fries and cheese curds, and you cover that in gravy. I mean, this is a Jason Moore special. You've had that dream before. Yes, I have had that. And so I'm going to compare Poutine to Amari Cooper. Okay, because...

5:28 ↗

You've never... You're emphasizing the poo part. Yeah, the Amari Cooper. Here's the deal. Amari Cooper should have a lot of volume. And I've never ordered Putin that came as like a little tiny side. You know, Putin comes in its own bowl and covered with gravy. He's going to get carries out of the backfield. He's going to get, you know, slot work. He's going to get outside work. Everything will be there for Cooper. They will use him in a number of different ways this season.

5:57 ↗

So you like it. But at the end of eating Poutine, sometimes you regret it. Sometimes you go, man, that was so much. But I shouldn't have ordered the Poutine. And that's how I feel about Amari Cooper. It's like the volume's there and it could be delicious. But you, I think it might end up with the few regrets. Okay. So right now you're on.

6:26 ↗

I'm on the delicious. It looks great. You flipped over. Yeah. So wait, is this, are you on both sides right now? I'm living on both sides with Cooper, but right now, he looks delicious. And with food. Yeah, yeah. Right now, it looks delicious. Mike? Can you top putteen? Well, probably not in taste, but the player I want to talk about, he's good. He's not, this is not a meal. This is a snack. Sure.

6:55 ↗

It's late. I need something. I want to talk about Danny M. And I want to compare him to a bag of potato chips because, look, they're good. But when you open that bag, is it half empty? All air? When you open that bag, are they all smashed to pieces? Does the bottom open on accident and they fall out? But every once in a while. Oh. The...

7:23 ↗

The fresh one? Aquarius, man. The planet's aligned. There's only two smashed chips in your bag. They are salted to perfection. They are potato-y-goodness. Percy Harvin. A Percy Harvin shout-out? Wow. I remember that for games. I do. It was so great. I made a great pick. But then I was hungry again. All right. I'm going to a local favorite as well.

7:57 ↗

that we were introduced to up here. And I'm the panderer. You're wearing a Kirk Cousin's jersey. No, we are together. And I don't know if it'll be a popular opinion. Baseless claps. Do not cheer that man, the Zumba man. That was pretty cool, though. I need Zumba. That was winded, man. That was a workout. We know. I'm going to go with the Juicy Lucy. Okay, so I am...

8:28 ↗

Pat and Lee pandering. But you won't like the name I bring up about it. See? And I want to talk about Alex Smith, right? You got to sell me. I know. It's a tough sell. Because, look, just like a normal burger, you've had them, they can be good, they can be bad, they can be fine. Right? Alex Smith is fine. And then last year, there was something on the inside. There was something special. It was heart.

9:01 ↗

And all of a sudden, he wasn't picking my kids up after school. He wasn't getting the vanilla ice cream at the 31 flavors. He had something special. He was throwing the ball down field. And from a fantasy perspective, he was beating guys like Cam Newton in points per game. And he was winning people championships. And then he gets sent out to Washington in this unknown circumstance. But I think that there's something inside.

9:24 ↗

of Alex Smith. And I'm not putting him in the top five or eight or something like that. But QB1 should not be ignored for Alex Smith because he did a whole lot last year, 4,000 plus yards. It wasn't just Tyreek Hill. He did not make his career. And people don't know what Paul Richardson's going to do and what weapons he has there, but he has enough. Jay Gruden has confidence in him. And so I think could end up with a juicy Lucy. I think if it's a history lesson of how it went through last year.

9:54 ↗

I completely agree. But this season, I think there's no cheese inside that burger. Well, that would be disappointing. Like, it's charred. So you're on board. It's cold. All right. Without further ado, our main event, let's do it. Tips and Tricks. Now, we've done these types of shows before. We're bringing you 10 fresh tips and tricks for the 2018 season. So you've already heard them all. No.

10:29 ↗

No, you've heard maybe one or two that we can't help but bring up year after year after year. But we know that fantasy, look, it's about accurate projections and we want to be right and you want to win your league with the statistics and analyzing those things. It's all important. But we are a holistic podcast. We understand that it's just as important for you to know your league mates and how to beat them and to know your league format and how to take advantage of it. And the other aspects, it's not just reading a sheet.

10:58 ↗

Right? I mean, you're having fun. You need to learn your league mates. You need to take advantage of them. So we're going to start there. So, Mike, I think you're up first. Yep. Number 10. That sounds intense. So the feedback is... He shook my bottom. Yes. My goodness. Number 10. I can't even get close. Number 10. Oh. Oh. Number 10. I'm calling this one. Get the Putin moving.

11:28 ↗

Oh, no, no, no, no. I'm calling these. The coupon clip players, we all know the draft. It's about value. That ADP, the average draft position, working it. Getting the value, taking the guy where he should be drafted, not reaching. But you know there's fantasy points to be had, but everyone else is reaching. I guess I'm completely out on that team. And you go, maybe I don't have to be.

11:58 ↗

Let's take a look. The Browns. Jarvis Landry and Josh Gordon are both being drafted as top 60 players. That seems, that's a little crazy to me. You can hear the truthers out there. Somebody has them in a dynasty league. Been holding on for five years. Now is the time. But here's the thing. Someone has to throw Josh Gordon the ball. Tyrod Taylor's not even being drafted in one quarterback leagues. Like,

12:29 ↗

Cut the coupon out. There's no shame in coupons. What is double coupon? It takes a little time. Do you think Deshawn Watson is the truth? People are paying up for them. Why not just wait until you're six-seventh round? You grab Will Fuller. Get a piece of that offense. Look at the giants. My goodness. Otto Beckham, Sequin, Evan Angram. They're all being drafted as ones of their position.

12:57 ↗

And then there's Eli Manning, the guy who has to get them the ball. No one wants him on their fantasy team. Clip it out. Clip it out. Cut it out. That one's already been done. Golden Tate Marvin Jones, they're both top 60 picks. But Matt Stafford sitting there as a value. Our Minnesota Vikings. Daven Cook, Stefan Diggs, Adam Thielen, they're all first three rounds. I'm not going to argue with that.

13:34 ↗

But they're all going in the first three rounds. Grab cousins. You get him in the eighth round. Get a piece of the offense. Clip. Yeah. You got to clip the coupons. Take those savings. Get in on that offense. But while everyone else is paid. Because you can't believe one thing about all these other players. Right. And then not imbue that value to the other player. You snuck into the steak party.

14:02 ↗

You got the tuxedo shirt on. You didn't pay for a rental. You got a t-shirt. And you did this two nights ago. You spill some, I may or may not have. You can't prove. Look, moving on. That's a long story. All right. But if you get salsa on it, you're fine. No big deal. Because you paid half price because you clip that coupon. All right. So, yeah, you liked it. Number nine. Does that feel good?

14:32 ↗

All right, number nine, and I'm going to bring it back to the Jarvis Landry truther and the Josh Gordon Truther and the Josh Gordon Truther. Number nine is this, love hurts. Love hurts. Love scars. So did that. What's the next words? No one knows. Here's what happens, as fantasy owners, especially in Dynasty and Keeper Leagues. You fall in love. You build your idyllic.
