I'm Brett from Bismarck, North Dakota. What's up, Brett? I feel like we're in the peak of best ball season, frequenting them on the draft app, of course. I want to know what your biggest changes in draft strategy are from best ball to season-long leagues. Okay, so best strategy changes. Now, when you say best ball, we've got to first at least clarify that there's a lot of different formats, right? Some have defenses, some have kickers, some have neither. And you can draft with...

58:34 ↗

three guys, four guys in a league. I mean, if you go on draft, that's a really common format. So I'll give one tip for that that I think is, well, I feel like it's a cheat code, and I know I do it when I'm in a three-man league, and this stinks, because now it's going to happen again more. I'm playing against you guys to draft all the time. But if I'm in a three-man league, I love to capture Grunk, Ertz, and Kelsey, all three if I can,

59:02 ↗

after I get my running backs. And I know a lot of you might go, what, but when you... Three-person team. Yeah, in a three-man league because it leaves the other people trash. And the truth is, everyone's team looks great at the end. Your running backs are still going to be great, especially if you go running back, running back to start. The wide receivers are still great because there's only three people in the league. But after that, there's a tier drop-off.

59:25 ↗

to death. It's not that way in quarterback, right? If you took Aaron Rogers and Russell Wilson and Deshawn Watson, there's 20 guys I still like. That's not that way at tie-in. Five-person basketball, Kirk Cousins, went in the 17th of the 18 rounds. Right. So if you're in one of those small ones, that's a tip.

59:45 ↗

Okay, I'll go to, and by the way, I think the Titan drafting, that's going to be my overriding premise. I think all preseason for all draft advice is get one of the four or five good guys because the drop-off is just precipitous and there's no finding help in most cases. For best ball, my risk tolerance goes way up on the guys that have high variance in their output because I'm going to have, in a typical like my fantasy league tens, MFL tens, I'm going to have six wide receivers.

60:14 ↗

A couple of them are going to have really good games. So I'll take guys that have the high up and downs, and I less need those steady players. Suddenly Will Fuller and Sean Jackson. They start to look a lot better. I actually like Jimmy Graham in those leagues. Good example. He's going to get touchdown or nothing, right? Yeah, perfect example. My general strategy is once I hit about round seven, and these are full, these are 10, 12 team. Once I hit about round seven, round eight.

60:40 ↗

That's when I start hitting the nitro button like Paul is talking about. I hit those high variance, really high ceiling guys. I'm taking them early. I don't care because I feel like my first seven picks, they're going to give me what I need weekly. And then the second half of my team, that's where I want my full turbo jets to hit. It's not like season long where you need to make the playoffs first and you need the consistency. You have to win. If you want the money, you have to finish first or maybe second depending on the league.

61:10 ↗

Yeah. All right. Next question. I like it. And I hate it. It's a little scary. Jeff from Egan. Oh, Egan. Oh, yeah, Jeff. First off, I just want to say, Mr. Chartian, you told last year to hold on to Evan Ingram and Alvin Kamara, and I did. Thank you very much. Thank you. Yeah.

61:38 ↗

I was hoping it was going that direction. I really wanted. I was still. I was nervous. I don't remember this guy. But you also said to hang on to Matt Brita, and I did, and that didn't pan out soon. Right. We all get them wrong. Nothing lost. There we go.

61:51 ↗

Anyway, Jason. Camara made up for that, I think. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. My goodness. You said I could bring you a gift as long as it wasn't dangerous. Oh, what is this? So I made you a T-Rock-C-C-Cohen T-shirt. T-shirt. T-shirt. T-Rocke-Cohan, the Dinosaur-Hunter. Hold that up. Camera. Make sure you get a shot on this. Yeah, show the camera so that the people at home listening can see that. That's a nice shirt.

62:23 ↗

That is some good work. That was my first time ever using Photoshop. Unbelievable. Nicely done. He made it himself. Oh, Turok, the dinosaur hunts are going. What's your question, best friend, Jeff? I wrote a poem. Oh, a poem question. Just kidding. Just kidding. All right, so we light some candles. I'm in a new Dynasty League. I've never done Dynasty before, and actually a lot of people in the league are new to it.

62:52 ↗

It's all foot clan members. One person suggested, we were talking about mitigating damage on people abandoning and bailing out on the league. Somebody suggested that we have people pay for the next year if they want to trade future picks so that way they're not screwing over the person that would take over. So then it's kind of wondering, like, is there a way to incentivize maybe a new owner or anything like that?

63:20 ↗

Empire League, somebody said. Thanks, guys. Can we talk about it for seconds? Tell us, please do. So this is a Dynasty League variant I devised about five or six years ago, and it solves this very problem. Here's how works. Standard Dynasty League. Say the name of it again. An Empire League. Got it. And Standard Dynasty League, but with...

63:41 ↗

Two critical changes. Number one, at the end of the year, your winners only get half the pot. The rest of it is rolling from year to year waiting for somebody to win twice. When somebody goes back to back, they pay out that year, they pay out the rolling pot. The jackpot. The jackpot. And then, and this is the part I really love, the league is over. Leagues never end in fantasy football.

64:10 ↗

The league is over, and you want to start from scratch, go for it. And the beauty of the Dynasty League is because your team was good last year is probably going to be good this year. You really do have a chance of going back to back. And now because everybody's paid in and there's this big rolling pot, people don't leave the league. Oh, that is. That is interesting. And if you don't have back-to-back for 10, 11 years, you don't want to leave. And you getting paid. Yep. And by the way, when you win.

64:37 ↗

And the whole league is gunning for you and everybody wants you to lose. That is the best. I love it. Awesome. I love it. Thanks, guys. Thank you. Jason. Next question. It's getting worse. It's getting scary. It's getting better. For those listening at home, they might not realize.

65:01 ↗

how much it's echoing in here every time I say that. No, they're hearing it. Oh, fantastic. It's intimidating. I walk up and you guys are just like over me and then just the boom. All right. Blow up? Yes, down there. My name is Sawyer. I'm from up near Duluth, Minnesota. Awesome, Sawyer. Yeah. I got a shout out to my league of record because my commissioner was like, yeah, we're going to boot you if you don't shout us out. That's fair. Guess where I met him.

65:28 ↗

Oh, where did you meet them? Footlineleagues.com? Yeah, they are. Yeah, buddy. Best league ever. All right, but my question is, Jason, I know you like the shirt that's awesome. You love that guy. You're not going to like me. Oh, bring it. Because I want to know what happened. What did Larry Fitzgerald do to hurt you? Oh, my goodness. Larry Fitzgerald. I can't even...

65:59 ↗

Larry, Larry, Larry Legend, Larry Pro Bowl. They like him up here, too. So what did he do to you? I've got... I have something to say. We like him up here too. Oh. Now, you might... I got some grief early, early, early about the Larry Fitzgerald rankings because, you know, I didn't have him in a certain spot, but...

66:27 ↗

Here's the problem. I'm just verifying, yeah, I wanted to make sure on our... Oh, I know what's coming. I want to make sure that I was right. I am actually not the lowest. Next question. I'm not the lowest on Larry Fitzgerald. It's Andy Holloway. Boo. Andy. Andy. Does he be number one? Andy, why do you hate Larry Fitzgerald? To fabricate moments like this on a live show.

66:55 ↗

Thank you. Thanks, man. Jason moved up after all the hate. So if you email him, he'll change his rankings. That's what I want you to understand. Oh, I know this face. Yeah, what's up? Next question. A face only a mother could love. Oh, I got in there. Yeah, that didn't echo very well. That was scary. I was insulting you and whatever. John Paul Hurley at Minneapolis. What's up, Hurley? Not a lot. Not a lot. I don't have any gifts, so I apologize. Yeah, it's all right. Next question. Here's nice.

67:22 ↗

Cell phone, cell phone. You can have this. He's giving you his cell phone. You may talk. That's all I got it. All right. Which New York Football Giants player will finish the best at their position in 2018 for fantasy points? I like the way that question is worded, though, because you're thinking of it in terms of every position. My answer would 100% be Odell Beckham Jr. I mean, I think he is locked in there. I think Evan Ingram could.

67:51 ↗

could possibly regress from where he's at. Sequin, we haven't seen. Eli Nugent, sorry, I really like him as a late pick, but I think it has to be O'Dow. Okay. Almost 1,400 yards and 12 touchdowns per season. I mean, when he's healthy. It's O'Dell Beckham. Yeah. Charge? I'll take Evan Ingram just because of the lack of competition, right? Well, yeah, his fall into the top. His odds of being top five are very high. Yeah, exactly. Fair enough.

68:17 ↗

There's a second part to that. Whoa. Oh. Trick question. Which one of those guys will outperform their ADP? Oh. Oh, Eli Manning. I'll go Eli. Yeah, I need Eli. Out of those two guys. Aquan, Engram, and, yeah. Then I'd have to go.

68:44 ↗

Ooh, Jason's thinking. They're just yelling nicknames now. I need to see real quick. Okay, I'll jump in for just a second while Jason tries to collect his thoughts. You know, rookie tight ends never do anything. What Evan Ingram just did is a once, like a decade performance. There is a chance next year he is the number one ranked tight end. I think he has got more. He's...

69:12 ↗

He don't care. Put on the hay blockers. Put on the hay blockers. I would put them on except for the headlice issue, which, you know. Right, yeah, I know. I'm working on that. Yeah, thank you. Thank you. Yeah, no, I would agree. I think it is Evan Ingram. I wanted to see where Odell was, technically, ADP. He's three. Could he finish two or one? Absolutely. Yeah, the odds aren't. I think Evan Ingram has a higher chance to outperform his ADP. Thank you. Appreciate it.

69:43 ↗

Next question. Hey, baller. Hey, ballers. My name's Chris Workman. What's up? At Worky 27, Hudson, Wisconsin. That's... It's to be expected. Stand tall. Got to do. All right. My question is on the diggity scale, and if you're not aware of how the scale works, it is from...

70:15 ↗

No digity. No doubt. All of the digity, where no digity is synonymous with no doubt. And all of the digity would be all of the doubt. Of course. And in between we have... It's your specialty, Mike. We're completely tracking. In between we have some digity, a fair amount of digity, a decent amount of digity. Sure. How confident are you with the recent news on James Winston on whether or not...

70:43 ↗

Mike Evans will return value as a wide receiver won this season. We had so much to talk about today. We thought we were going to get into the James Winston stuff on Thursday, but we should talk now. Sure. Yeah, breaking news. Breaking news. James Winston has been suspended for three games for some bad behavior. He was a naughty boy, and he got suspended three games. Now, I'm sure he will.

71:14 ↗

He will appeal. It will change, probably. Maybe it goes down to two. Yeah. But let's talk principally, do you believe that that damages the skill position players around him enough, with Ryan Fitzpatrick managing to find himself in a starting role again? Yeah, it's Ryan Fitzman. It's Ryan Fitzmanage time, and while he's a gunslinger, he recently was not very efficient.
