Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. It's football time. Almost. Almost. Football time from now until... We're in the middle of football time. February. Welcome to the podcast. Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers podcast. Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, Mike, the Fantasy Hitman, Wright. Back again, delivering fantasy football goodness. Mmm. It's got a great jam-pack show today. We're playing Keep Trade Cut on the show today. We're jumping into the Foot Clan Mailbag.

2:52 ↗

We got a review osaurus. We're getting into the news. We're going to deliver the goods. You know, if I may. Yes. If I may for me. You may. You may. So keep trade cut. We did. We started that this off season. It was a fun little game. But now we realized like we were toiling this week with how to really help people. And we realized we already had the, we had the golden nugget to help in a, it's a different format. But you're going to want to stick around for that keep trade cut because these are guys where it's like, what do I do?

3:21 ↗

Whether they blew up or whether they stunk or whether they were right. Gary Barnage. Melvin Gordon. What do I do with these guys? And we're going to tell you in a very fun segment. Yes, yes. So I'm looking forward to that. That's going to get started here very soon. We have a quick question right off the top like we like to do. This one comes in off of Twitter at the gig. Okay. Thegaby at Thegaby. Yeah, I didn't hit that very good. Sorry, Andrew. Is there a week one stud that we should be cautious of?

3:51 ↗

And is there a flop that is going to turn it around? Well, absolutely. I think the question is, who? You know, the week one stud that I don't buy into it all, it might be too easy, but it's Carlos Hyde. I know, Mike, you got to tweet out, how does my hide taste? Mm-hmm. Which was well done. How does my hide taste? I did not see that. Well, I mocked him for Tori Smith, and he responds and says, I was off him weeks ago.

4:19 ↗

How does my hide taste? And I will grant you. Carlos. You saw that week one coming. So congratulations. But I'm not buying in. I don't think that like that. No, I know. But I don't think the office is going to go well in the future. And, of course, this week, just terrible match. Sure. Sure. Yeah. I agree with that one. I'll go with Adrian Peterson as the flop to turn it around. Had a terrible week one. People are freaking out a little bit. People are freaking out about everybody who did not perform to chalk.

4:46 ↗

who did not perform exactly as anticipated. And I understand it. And you know what? Oh. Oh. Jason. Oh, no. Oh, what's happening? I want to apologize to you. Oh, I love it. Because I made a mistake on this show. And I thought that you were an insane person for bringing up the fact that Kobe Fleener would be dropped in leagues. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But you weren't. Because I have repeatedly seen.

5:13 ↗

People dropping Kobe Fleener. Hold on. I'm checking his percentage. The percentage isn't updated yet. The percentage is somewhat irrelevant because it is impacting our listeners. And that's what matters. And so I want to apologize to you formally and for the last time in my entire life. You want to know what I thought the apology was going to be? Oh, great. The bread basket. Oh, no. Which after the show, you said you see what I was talking about. I kind of somewhat understand. Yeah. Okay. That's it. That's all I'll say.

5:41 ↗

So which apology would you have been more happy about? The breadbasket. Really? I thought the Kobe Fleener. I ripped you a lot more for Kobe Fleener. That's all right. But you're right. And so he was one of those guys that everyone's asking about. Gary Barnage. Do I drop him and grab Eric Ebron? These are the type of questions that come up. Mike, do you have a – give me one or the other. A stud that you should be cautious of or a flop that you expect to turn it around? Well, I was actually – I was going to go with a hybrid of a week one stud. We didn't expect him to be a stud.

6:09 ↗

but I think it's going to continue, and not so much as the top-tier echelon stud, but Willie Sneed, I fully believe that he will continue to be a very integral part of the Saints offense. And I think that he is going to be a solid wide receiver, too, for people. You want to know what's incredible about Sneed and Cooks and their explosion? You know what it veiled? Another receiver on that team that caught six passes. Oh, yeah, Michael Thomas. Michael Thomas got six passes. Now, he is going to be the three, so he's capped to me.

6:37 ↗

But he's going to have games. But what it showed us most importantly was that the Michael Thomas Brandon Coleman question was answered that it's Michael Thomas. And that's the guy. So, you know, on waivers.

6:49 ↗

He's a guy that should also be looked to get picked up. All right. Shout out to everybody who has supported this show. This is a listener-run show. You guys are the backbone of everything we do here. And so from time to time, we love to dive into the iTunes reviews, read a review from a listener in only the way that Jason can read them. And so we're going to do that right now. Stumbling. Review Osoris Rex. This one comes in from J. Palma.

7:18 ↗

He says perfect blend of fantasy and comedy. Five-star review. These guys are the perfect representation of what fantasy football is about. Fantasy isn't just about winning and gaining bragging, right? One of the best parts of fantasy football is the ability to bust chops all season long. Kiyah. Kiyah and humiliate your buddies whenever possible. The F.F. Ballers crew provide that perfect mix of information. There you go. I can't read.

7:46 ↗

Reading is so hard. The perfect mix of information and advice with the added-on comedy that one really enjoys from fantasy football. Thanks for your hard work, guys. Well, thank you, Jay Palmer. Thank you for the review. They really do help us out. So if you have not subscribed and reviewed, please do. If you want to get a hold of us on Twitter, if you want to get a hold of Jason, you can do so at Jason FFL. Mike is at FF. Hitman. I'm at Andy Holloway, and the show is at the FF Ballers on Twitter.

8:14 ↗

Always a good time on Twitter, especially when... During the games is great. Yeah, during the games. It's just a lot of fun. There are memes flying around. Especially the evening games. I'm just throwing that out there. But if you're in the Sunday night, Monday night Thursday, there's one to focus on. There's one and everybody's watching it. Get your Twitter out. Even better if Jeff Fisher's involved. Oh, yes. So definitely check us out on YouTube as well. You can watch the show on there. Subscribe on YouTube. See the show after the show.

8:40 ↗

And of course, a shout out to all of our supporters. Thank you so much for lifting this show up on Patreon. Jointhefoot.com. Put the deem on your back. Yeah, we just announced yesterday we're delivering premium projections to our Jointhefoot.com members. So we're really excited about delivering some extra value over there. Let's dive into the news. News and notes from around the league. You want to take this first one? Oh, I'll jump in on this. There was the news that broke.

9:15 ↗

yesterday and the Saints have released running back. C.J. Spiller. Does anybody care? C.J. Spiller? See, well, yeah, certainly C. Spiller cares. I care because he was giving me the, uh, the heby-jeebies a little bit on Mark Ingram with all that playing team who's getting the preseason. Of course, those hebi-jibis have switched to Terva's cadet, uh, taking up some of my targets I was hoping for. And a touchdown. Yeah. Uh, and it touched him.

9:42 ↗

Clearly, the story here was that Spillers playing time in the preseason was not a product of getting out of the doghouse, but to be put on display for a potential trade, which did not happen. And he's garnering no interest as of now. He's a 29-year-old speedster that no longer offers upside. What could have been? A lot of people saying, what do I do with CJ? And you do what the Saints did. Chris Ivory, release from the hospital. Release from the hospital remains uncertain.

10:12 ↗

for week number two. Now listen, this past week, Mike and I made a water bet like men do. We bet, you know, if you haven't done it. Oh, women. Sure, sure. And we made a bet. And, you know, if you don't have the Wheel of Water app, it's very fun. It's a free way to bet. We just made it for fun, literally, so that we can watch people humiliate each other. And that's Wheel of Water.com. Now, Mike and I made a water bet that he is, well, we made two of them. First, we made one that was Macklin versus Keenan Allen.

10:42 ↗

And, you know, out of the kindness of my heart and the sympathy I had for Keenan Allen. And pure logic and reason. Logic and reason. Keenan went out with the ACL. I said, you know what? I won the bet, but, you know, I won it on the heels of a torn ACL. Not like this. Not like this. So I let him off the hook. Then I remember we made a top 20 T.J. Eldon bet. And now Mike says he wants off the hook for that bet. Well, this is what I'll say. I will take the water.

11:12 ↗

But my entire argument was related to Chris Ivory, who was a shocking scratch because he was in the hospital. Look, as I recall it, I don't think it was shocking that he was in the hospital. I will grant you that. We didn't see that he was going to come down with an illness and be missing for the game for that reason. But it was not, I mean, when the argument took place, there were questions about some soft tissue issues. And whether Chris Ivory would be ready for that week. So I feel like.

11:40 ↗

I feel like it's fair, but I think we should put up a poll. We'll put up a poll. See, and like, and you decide whether it's hashtag Mike wet, hashtag Mike safe. If it got, if it got to Sunday, and it was Chris Ivory not playing hamstring problem, I would say, well, I don't know, I feel like that's a little different than just a guy freakishly ending in the hospital, and they have no idea what was wrong with it. But the, you were freakishly wrong. Sure. That's what I think, because he was freakishly in the top 13 this week and helped fantasy owners.

12:08 ↗

And that's what my principle was, hey, go start him, right? I realize I got a little bit of luck on the injury side of things. You know who didn't help fantasy owners carrying on with the news? Jamal Charles did not help fantasy owners this last week. And the reports coming out are that he might not help fantasy owners this following week. In fact, I'm not counting on him. I will assure you he will not help any fantasy owners. I agree. The question is, will he help the fantasy owners of...

12:34 ↗

the Ware owners, will he be out of the game entirely? I expect that he will be. Yeah, yeah, I completely agree. Don't love the matchup for Kansas City going up against the Houston defense this week. So I would, like, not expect personally a 30-point game out of Spencer Ware again. But I don't think Charles is going to play. Just got news this morning. Rob Gronkowski has returned to practice. Oh, that's good. So you need to monitor that this week. Decent chance he plays.

13:00 ↗

The Seahawks remain confident that Russell Wilson will be ready to go against the Rams. I need to know, guys, asking for a friend. What do you expect from Russell Wilson fantasy-wise this week if he's limited in his mobility? Does it matter going up against the Rams in L.A. You know, Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, the weapons out of the backfield. What do you guys think about that situation? I would put, I haven't statted him out yet, but in my head just a snap judgment, I would have him likely outside of my top 12.

13:30 ↗

if he cannot move. Matt Ryan or Russell Wilson. Matt Ryan has a good matchup this week. It is on. It's on the road, though, for Matt Ryan as well. But the thing about Russell Wilson, he's playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league. And why they could get away with that is because Russell Wilson has his backspin where he just gets out of trouble. If he's not going to be able to do that, then I expect a heavy, heavy dose of the Rawls Royce in the Awakening.
