by BetterHelp and Fantasy Footballers listeners get 10% off their first month at BetterHelp.com slash footballers. To the Fantasy Footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Oh, welcome in. Thursday, June 24th. Andy Mike and Jason, the fantasy footballers, back with you. My voice is fine. Oh, yeah, mine too.

3:10 ↗

Valley Oob? You had a moment last night, Jason. Now, we're recording this late Wednesday for the Thursday episode. So welcome into the podcast. Lots to cover today by yourself. Fantasy questions. A glamor shot reveal live on the show. Oh, it's covered up with a sheet. But Jason and I went to the game. And I think the most comments I saw when I shared a picture of us going to the Sun's playoff.

3:39 ↗

win, was where is the hitman? I mean, where am I not? Yeah, I mean. The answer to that was at the game. Yeah, I mean, you've been to a number of the games as well, but we weren't there together. Correct. And when people see a picture of just Jason and I, there's an absence. Some missing. Yeah. We're a three pack. But you were busy just not getting the review replays right at home. To be fair.

4:08 ↗

I believe I was correct. Scott Foster disagreed. Yeah, I mean, that, that was wild. Because I was just telling you guys, like, you guys make fun of baseball all the time. Yeah, because it's stupid. For reasons, I mean, that's a simple, kind of concise summation from Jason. I would call it eloquent, but go on. And then you've given more exhausting explanations, which is what you would describe baseball as exhausting.

4:36 ↗

But I've been complimenting like the NBA. I'm like these games. Like we go to the game. I'm home early. It's quick. The pace is great. It's moving. They're getting it over with. And then Scott Foster, the NBA referee extraordinaire, came out and said, you know what? I'm going to make these 90 seconds last 35 minutes. He's got to get that face time. We've got to get the nation. The nation needs more Scott Foster. That's what he thinks. Referees in any sports should not be trending on Twitter. That's all I'm saying. Your job is to blend in. You're like the Brooks.

5:04 ↗

out there. You should just, if you're doing your job, no one knows you're there. I can only name two NBA referees. Scott Foster and Tim Donahey. Yep. That's not good company. Oh, my goodness. If you would like to watch the show, you can do so on YouTube. And I will encourage you to head over there today. Yeah, because the glamour shots going up. Yeah, YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers. Glamorous. Mike lost our NFL draft.

5:33 ↗

bet and therefore was required to produce a glamour shop for the back wall. Took some time. We do have it. I'm going to reveal it momentarily here. And then we're going to force somebody to accept it as a giveaway prize. Mike is going to autograph it and then we're going to give it away at footclan giveaway.com. You can go enter to win.

5:54 ↗

And I'm going to reveal it right now. So without further ado, if you're watching, congratulations. You get to enjoy this. If we're listening. Wait, are you getting up and revealing it? Yeah, I am. All right. And if you are listening on the podcast, Jason, you need to talk us through and describe it. So here we go. All right. He is moving towards the sheet. He has taken it down. And there is Mike the Fantasy Hitman Wright in a Hawaiian-style button up.

6:22 ↗

buttoned down quite a bit, might I add. You're missing a button there. Somehow he... Wouldn't say I'm missing it. Amazingly has a mullet grown with a headband and a classic look, classic background of the glamour shot variety. Well done, Mike. It's kind of like the magenta lasers. He's glowing. I'm deep in thought.

6:45 ↗

And it's a higher resolution than I'm comfortable with. Yeah, it's a deep. There's a deep V. There's a lot of pixels. Yeah. Yeah, it is a deep V right there. You got to get that manscaped. So Mike's going to throw his John Hancock on there and we're going to ship it off. It's a Herbie Hancock. Herbie Hancock. Yeah. So Footclan giveaway.com. Mike, you look spectacular. Thank you.

7:08 ↗

I'm not sure how I feel about you in that pose directly above my head for the remainder of the show. At least he's looking up and not down at you. Yeah, that's true. Have you ever looked at a photo of yourself and then got like that funny feeling inside? What are you falling in love? No, just me? Okay. You're attracted to yourself? All right, three shows next week. The summer is over. We're going to three a week starting in July. That's impossible. I know. I know, Mike. Wow.

7:38 ↗

Time is just, it's not real. Time is pretend. Twitter at the FF Ballers, if you want to follow us there, let's do some buy sell. Buy or sell, presented by pristine auction. Buy or sell, Terry McLaurin making the leap and finishing as a top 12 fantasy wide receiver in 2021. What do you say, gentlemen? I know, I think you'd both love to say yes, but I'm not sure what your real answer is. Yeah, we all.

8:13 ↗

We all like Terry McLaurin. We all see a path where he could finish as a wide receiver one. The talent is there. He's shown flashes on the field. And you hope now that the quarterback is there. There's a lot in the fantasy world. We hype up fits magic. And we probably make him to be out, to be more than he is for Terry McLaurin.

8:34 ↗

But is he enough to produce a wide receiver one when you are combining that with the fact that this is a really good defense? It could be the best defense in the league. If not, it's a top five. And so you're not going to need to put up a bunch of points. Hopefully, if you're the Washington football team, all those things combined. Will Terry McLaurin finish as a wide receiver one? The answer is...

9:00 ↗

You know it. Yes, he will. I have him ranked right now as a wide receiver one. He is my wide receiver 11. And obviously, if you're betting the entire field versus him, the probability says he's going to be on the outside. But I think he's just shown too many flashes of brilliance with horrific quarterback play. And really, truly, if you break that down further, not just a generic, well, you know, his quarterbacks haven't been good.

9:28 ↗

Look at how he's performed with each different quarterback he's been with. Much, much worse with Alex Smith, who was checking it down over and over to J.D. McKissick and to, you know, the tight-in Logan Thomas. Fitzmagic matches what Terry McLaurin does. And Terry McLaren is the locker room leader room, the locker room leader. He's going to be the number one guy for this team. And I think at the end of the season, he'll be a wide receiver one. I will buy it just barely.

9:57 ↗

Oh, that's so reluctant. He went from 28 to 21. I think he can get to 12 this year. I am curious, though. Jason laid it out pretty clearly the situation. The target share last year is 25 percent. His consistency was great. It's just a matter of staying healthy. And, you know, consistency at the quarterback position over the course of a year, not going through multiple changes, which is not a guarantee with Ryan Fitzpatrick that there could be a change during the year, either by injury or play or whatever the case may be.

10:27 ↗

There are a lot of talented wide receivers that don't make it into the top 12 every year. Making it into the top 12 is as much about durability and availability as it is, you know, that talent. And I think it'll come together for him. I haven't been 11 as well, Jason. So I noticed that, but I also noticed one other thing. I know. I know.

10:44 ↗

Mike, you're the lowest. I have him as a wide receiver one, and he has him as a wide receiver one, and man, you hate Terry McLaurin down at 14. He's actually at 13 now. Oh, ooh. Still not top 12. Was that in the last like 20 seconds? No, not last 20 seconds, but last 20 minutes. Okay. Because I was answering, looking at the show doc preparing, and I believe that Terry McLaren is a wide receiver one. I firmly believe he should.

11:11 ↗

be there and can easily finish there. So I made an adjustment in the rankings. I got him to 13. And I realized, yes, technically that's still outside. But this, at the beginning of the year, everyone's healthy. Everyone can, you know, perform. But the skill set is there. I mean, in Terry McLaurin, it's, it feels like it was not, uh, it was not an excellent season for him.

11:35 ↗

Because it ended so terribly. Yeah, you've made this case before talking about him playing through injury. Through week 12, the dude with multiple quarterbacks. Multiple poor quarterbacks. Multiple bad quarterbacks was still averaging over 87 yards a game. The touchdowns were not coming. So that was the big difference for his fantasy performance is he was still helping your team win.

12:00 ↗

But he wasn't going over the top with those big bomb touchdowns that we saw his rookie year. But then he had an ankle sprain. And then another one. By the end of the year, my man was playing on two ankle sprains. Three ankle springs. If it was possible, he would still be out there. So I think with him being healthy and the fact that, yeah, Curtis Samuel. He was 100 for 1,500 pace through week 12. That's not a small sample size.

12:29 ↗

Not a lot of touchdowns, but 100 for 1,500 is going to get it done. And the argument for Curtis Samuel to me is completely neutralized by the addition of Ryan Fitzpatrick, who will target both of those guys, but he will target Terry, who is an elite route runner, has elite athleticism. He has everything you want in a wide receiver. Terry, I love Terry McLaurin, and he will finish as a top 12 wide receiver. Let me help you, Mike. You've got him at 13, and I know how to get him to 12.

12:59 ↗

Okay. Get Kenny Galladay out of your top 10. Oh, no, that was how you got it for 14. Then I'm out of suggestions. I went and I, that's what I'm saying. Like when I was looking, there's just, there's no way that you, when I'm actually in a draft, I'm not drafting Kenny Galladay over Terry McLaurin unless I had already drafted like Antonio Gibson. Do I really want to go all in on the Washington offense? I'm not sure, not that they can't.
