Crowned Jay Griz sits in for Mike

Jay Griz is explicitly sitting in, wears the previous week's prediction crown, and completes the group of three crowned kings while Mike is repeatedly declared absent.

The hosts' job is to dunk on the Deucers

After Papa Josh receives kind audience feedback, the hosts define their own role as insulting the Deucers and their work while commenters sympathetically build the producers up.

Al models Jason's hand-me-down jacket

Al appears in a rare non-black white jacket that turns out to be Jason's old hand-me-down, causing Jason to realize his compliment was effectively directed at himself.

Mike normally controls the titanium underpants

Mike's absence leaves Jason without the normal special-underpants cue, so the booth hunts through controls until the titanium-underpants sound and selection appear.

Producer praise must be edited out

The hosts tell Jeremy that the next statement must be removed, briefly call the producers great, and receive Al's assurance that the compliment will be cut.

summary

Episode notes

This episode gives another explicit Jay substitution: Jay Griz is 'sitting in today,' wears the crown from the previous week, and is counted among three crowned kings; repeated 'Mike's not here' lines establish whom he replaces. Mike's absence also lets Jason award himself an extra quarterback Start of the Week and leaves the hosts without their normal titanium-underpants control. In Deucer's Alley, Al wears Jason's old white jacket—causing Jason to realize he complimented himself—then agrees to edit out the hosts' rare praise for producers. Brooks is accidentally booted from the remote production call and goes missing from the show for eight minutes before anyone notices.

First two drives, I think. 90% of the game to get another catch. And apparently I missed that catch until way late in the game. I looked at the box. I was. I was like, throw the ball. All right. This week, we do have Mike's pick for him as he's out of town. He is going with Nico Collins, unsurprisingly, 70 plus receiving yards against Tennessee. He looked really good last week, scored on the first play of the game, didn't count. But a full allotment of snaps is in the cars. No Legerius Sneed. We talked about it. That makes a huge difference. Earlier and it's a good matchup. So he's going 70 plus with Nico. I'm going 25 plus receiving yards for Devon A. Chan against New England with two of this year. He's been over that line in five of six games. He is how this offense moves the football. Well, the nice thing about that is that could be one reception.

Like with a guy like Devon A. That's why I took that instead of his, his total reception line. I just feel like I like the receiving yards more than the total reception. I'm always always, always. I'm almost always a volume over yards type of player, just personal conviction. But on this line, it makes complete sense and I love it. My pick this week is I'm taking Brock Bowers over five and a half. It's a high line. However, five and a half reception. So he's got to get to six. He's averaging seven receptions per game. Last week he had 16 targets, 13 receptions with Gardner, Minchu. And against these Broncos, his matchup this week. In week five, he went eight for 97 and a touchdown. And my favorite part about how good a game he had against the Broncos is they lost the game. It wasn't close. So this isn't like, how do we fix it? And they're stuck with Minchu.

Yeah, just repeat week five and let Brock get his catches. Yeah, that was Fantasy Forecast, presented by Draft Kings Pick Six. Download the new Draft Kings Pick Six app now and use the code Ballers. I don't know if there's a player I'm more afraid to play in the fantasy playoffs than the team that has Brock Bowers. I'm genuinely afraid of that. That's like, if your tight end doesn't show up and you're facing the Brock Bowers manager, you're toast. The thing is about Brock Bowers is he's going to have maybe one more dud game the rest of season. His touchdownless domination is so incredible that you don't even, you don't need, usually for a Titan to have a great game, they've got to have a touchdown. You just don't need that with Brock Bowers. And then what if you get it? He is simultaneously the checkdown guy for the team and their number one wide receiver. Yeah. And.

58:59 ↗

God forbid he starts scoring touchdowns. He's a deep throw. Don't worry. Gardner will take care of that. Yeah. But yeah, Brock is so good. Yeah, he's a really good football player. And, you know, the Raiders were smart to have taken him even though it didn't seem like the pick that they needed to make. There are certain players who just make things look so easy that you almost question if they're really great. And I know that sounds really. Like when I watch Justin Jefferson, I know he's great. I watched the sideline catch. He's unbelievable. But also, he's just always wide open. Like, why does the defense decide to guard him ever? Yeah. No, I get it. It's him.

59:38 ↗

Yeah. No, it's what Kelsey. Brock Bowers looks like he's doing nothing. 100%. Kelsey's just like casually walking down the field. Yeah, but always open. And faster than everyone. All right.
