Welcome to yet another beautiful edition of the Fantasy Footballers podcast. It is April 21st, and Mike is on drugs. The legal kind that make you better, my friends. Yeah. Zyrtec, Dayquil, floor septic spray.
You have a lozenge in your mouth as well? Yeah, I apologize if you can hear that clicking. I did ultimate damage on an economy-sized bag of cough drops today. Man. But I'm here for you, the listener. And if I start ranting about Doug Martin being an RB1, someone just put me down. We'll track you in, Mike. We'll attribute that to the day quail. All right. Well, we got a good show for you today. Have some news and notes. We're going to go through.
Also, this is a mail bag show. Are you trying to fill in for our sick brother here? Yeah, he's sick. Not bad. Thank you. Yeah, we're going to answer questions from the listeners all over the world. These are the best shows. I mean that world because we had our Scottish friend email us last week. Yes, bonjour to our Scottish friend. That's not how it works. Mike, you might need to leave.
But yeah, if you have a question of your own this offseason or heading into the season, we answer them on the show. A bunch of them came in on Twitter at the FFBallers. So you can tweet at the FFF Ballers and we'll answer the questions on the show. You can go to the website, the fantasy footballers.com. There's a link on there to submit a question. So any other bits of information? I'm just really excited to do the show. I have missed everybody over the weekend, and I think it's time we move to a seven day a week show, morning and night. What do you guys think? Are you in? Seven days? 14 shows a day. 14 shows a day. We're really kicking up. There's the day quail. Well, I guess I'll just start our news and notes. News and notes from around the league. That's called damage control.
You just try to prevent Mike from getting something else out. The damage control. Not a lot of news going on. Speaking of damage control, his first bit of news is... You're overreacting to this, but Mike Garofalo says Antonio Brown wants a raise and is considering a holdout. Well, yeah, he's really good. He probably deserves a raise. Well, not considering that he just signed a big contract for him two years ago.
Yeah, but this is the NFL. This is no news. He's going to hold out for a little while in the offseason come, and he'll get a good contract next year. He's just going to miss some of this OTA time. Yeah. But I mean, I guess in the context of fantasy football, you'd rather hear something that isn't this for your player. Let's say he misses some camp. You still draft him in the exact same spot? Yeah. The exact same. Yeah, I do. You know, he's that born and bred superstar that knows what he's doing.
If it was somebody else, if it was, you know, a rookie or somebody coming in like that, it would be more concerned. But I'm not too concerned. He is really, really good. Yeah, if it comes the day before your draft and he hasn't showed up to anything, I don't know. Maybe move him down a spot, but I'm not worried. Breaking news. What? It's a Tim Tebow signing. Oh. That's always breaking. Haven't you ever watched the television when Tim Tebow's around? It is always breaking news. Tim Tebow is now a QB5 in the NFL.
He's shattered the mold. Yeah, that's, he got signed. Good for you. Fantasy told. Second straight preseason in which he got brought in, right? Yeah, because he's a perfect player to bring in for preseason because he's going to have a great attitude, be a great locker room guy. You need guys to throw the ball during the OTAs, and then he'll go back to ESPN. I will not be on a roster in the regular. Question for you. Do you care to wager another water bet on Tim Tebow?
Making the team? Of what was, I don't remember what it was last year, but some like 100 snaps for the Patriots. No, no. I'm not making another team. I was willing to bet zero, but you went to a hundred. Did I do a hundred snaps? It was something. This is embarrassing. It was much higher than the zero that I was ready to offer. I don't know what it is. In much more relevant fantasy football, Eagle-related news, Zach Ertz has spent a couple weeks in the...
offseason program working with the former Cowboys offensive line coach. On blocking. Halk. On blocking. Basically, we just want him on the field more. So he's got the message that he needs to do that. So it doesn't mean anything until we see it. But if Zach Ertz is, okay, so let's put the context. Literally, there could not be a better piece of news to come out this off season for me to my value of Zach Ertz. There's nothing I could wish for more because we can't know that he's.
actually better at blocking, but that's clearly, you know, when we had Andrew Goldwasser on the show, the Eagles Insider, he was talking about Zachertz is great, everybody loves him, everybody wants him there, but the problem is they're such a high-power, fast-paced offense, and he can't block so he can't play and be in on snaps. And so...
The fact that he is out there working on blocking actually means maybe he'll get up to 70% of snaps, and that's huge. If Zackertz is on the field in the 75-80% range, I love him. You love him. And his draft stock is still not very good. What did he have about 800 yards last year still? Around there. I can't remember exactly what the total was. But he, you know, he was the second highest tied end in terms of down the field, you know, distance on. Behind my boy, Kobe Fleener.
Yeah, you're dropsy boy, Kobe Fleener. Last bit of news here, Adam Kaplan says it'll take at least a first round pick and maybe more compensation for the Vikings to trade Adrian Peterson. That's poppycock. That anyone would do that or that both? I still think you could get traded. He's just got to not show up and cause a problem. Then there was a newer bit that said if they don't trade him next week, he's not getting traded. Based on pre-draft?
Correct. It needs to be a pre-draft company. As in saying the Vikings want a pick this year for him. Yeah. Yeah, that makes sense. A lot of speculation. It would be interesting to see him in another destination, but we all agree he'll probably be in Minnesota, and he'll probably be really good. Agreed. All right, let's, any more news? Of course, there's one piece of news that we're all very excited about. We made a deal, a little handshake agreement with audible.com. They are...

Grab a free book. Free book. And support the show. No risk. Get a free book and you help us out. Yeah. Awesome. Love it. All righty. Let's get into the meat and potatoes of the show. Mailbag. Still brought it. Fighting through the illness. I love it. I'm a fighter. Man, the draft is so close. I just thought I'd say that because we're right there and there's going to be so much to talk about. Cannot wait. Let's get into the mailbag here. Dan. What's up, Dan? How you doing, Dan? Dan. Dan.
Here's his fantasy question. He has a keeper league. It's a PPR league, 12-team league. He can only keep two in the fourth and fifth round. He has to choose from ODB, T.Y. Hilton, DeAndre Hopkins, and Justin Forset. So, who does he choose? What do you guys think? I think for me, this is an easy one. Obviously, Odell Beckham is there. So that's... So, Odell's...
A done deal. A done deal. So really, it's pick one of these other guys. And to me, I see Forset on my, where I've got him finishing is a top 10 back. You don't pass on that. Now, if they draft, you know, Gordon next week, then obviously that changes. But if they get a back in the third or fourth round, I like Forset and I would rather have the running back than, you know, a good, I mean, these are good options at wide receiver, but I'd rather go Forset and ODB. What's say you guys?
I completely agree where it depends on when you have to lock these in. If you get to wait through the draft and through some of the offseason and see if the Ravens add anybody else, I don't, I'm not sure they are going to add anybody of note. And I agree with Jason. I love Forsett. I love him in Mark Treshman system. And ODB for a fourth round, even with the... Beautiful. We're not 100% sold on him here. We still really like him, but...
He's only done it for half a year. But in the fourth round, fantastic. All right, I agree completely. ODB and Forset are your two, Dan. Win your league, Dan. Is that a command? That was a command. It was. And a congratulations towards the future. Peter. Peter M. asks, what is the dynasty outlook for Michael Floyd in 2015 and beyond? Michael Floyd is one of our bounce back.
candidates, a guy we all like this year with the return of a healthy Carson Palmer, Bruce Ariens' offense. He's the most athletic wide receiver on that team now. So what is his dynasty outlook? I have some thoughts on it, but I'll clean up after you two are done. I still really like Michael Floyd. He came out with a tremendous pedigree from Notre Dame, was the first receiver selected in his respective draft.
What I really like about him besides what my eyes tell me is that he's a great receiver is Bruce Ariens talked him up a lot this offseason. And Bruce Ariens, we've found, is a man that pulls no punches, and he tells you exactly what he's thinking. If Bruce Ariens says we're going to run left on the next play, they're going to run left on the next play. And he's talked about Michael Floyd, and he said, there's absolutely no reason that he should not be a thousand-yard receiver.
last year's debacle to the mix-up of quarterbacks that Floyd was dealing with. Maybe Floyd just mentally wasn't prepared for that, and I know that's kind of a weird thing to say about a guy you like. However, I think he just, I like Palmer's back and healthy, and I think Floyd is ready to take that jump into becoming an elite fantasy receiver. I would just say in the dynasty outlook, I have some concerns.
Um, this is a make or break year for him in general as a fantasy producing receiver. I mean, last year was his third year. This is fourth year. If he doesn't do it this year, I'm, I'm pretty worried. But as far as the dynasty outlook, uh, it's going to depend on that quarterback situation. Carson Palmer is not going to be there forever. So, uh, you might get one or two years of Carson Palmer and who knows what you have after that. So question marks on Michael Floyd compared to some of the other guys you might have in his category.
Yeah, that was the same cleanup I was going to say. I like him in a redraft league. I think he'll have a bounce back year this year, but I don't really love the dynasty implications. The Cardinals are not set up for the future at quarterback. Logan Thomas, man. Thank you. You just proved my point. Yeah, yeah. So, Peter, I would say we believe he can bounce back this year, but be careful. Maybe you unload him after next year. Well, I'll say I'll throw in right now. His value cannot be very high in the eyes of...
