Pooped in his big boy pants. Oh, yes. Sure to be everyone's favorite section. Why don't you explain this section to our listeners here? He pooped in his big boy pants is where we take a look at some players who would be considered top. They're starters. The really hard part of fantasy football. Oh, these guys that you just knew were studs. And then they... Yep, then they pooped in their big boy pants and didn't put up the performance you needed and you probably lost if you started them. So let's go through some of them.

14:08 ↗

Let's start. So, at quarterback, the sloppiest poop of the week was to Matthew Stafford. 246 yards. Not bad. That's not good for Stafford. Yeah, I mean, it's whatever. But zero touchdowns. Two picks. One fumble. Not.

14:27 ↗

Man, that game did not pin out the way prognosticators saw it going. We thought big points were coming from both sides. Yeah, I mean, because really you can put Aaron Rogers into this category. Yeah, he was up for consideration. Andy Dalton's another guy who, no touchdowns now last week. So some of these big names, I mean, those three guys were in the top five last year at the quarterback position, and all three of them ended up pooping their pants this week. So who do you got at running back?

14:53 ↗

Well, it shames me because I'm such an advocate for this man, but Eddie Lacey has just not performed. No. He's got a three-week bell movement going on here. That's just... He's constipated. Oh, he is. The running game is constipated in Green Bay. Everything's constipated in Green Bay. And he's not helping the cause. And for all the people who, myself included, made big moves to get him high in the draft. Yes, his price was high. But there is hope.

15:23 ↗

Did you know that? Oh, please educate me on this hope. There is hope because Eddie Lacey has had three of the most difficult run matchups and three kind of awkward situations to start. Now, this is the positive spin. If you're a Lacey owner, please, I'm begging you right now. Don't sell low on Eddie Lacey because the value you're going to get for him is disgusting compared to what you paid for him. In week one, he had the concussion issue, played a Seattle defense that's kind of known for playing defense. And he still put up.

15:52 ↗

He still put up eight or nine fantasy points. In week two, they went down 21 to 3 against the Jets, limited carries. And Jets are a great run defense to start. They're a great run defense. McCarthy came out and said they need to get him in the ball more. And then Lacey decided to reward that endorsement by fumbling the first carry of the game this past week against another good run defense in Detroit. So here's the benchmark for Lacey. Next week, Chicago Bears defense.

16:20 ↗

a game that Lacey has to perform in. If you see him struggle next week, start to panic. Start to panic and start to worry about James Starks eating into his carries because they have to get the run game going if they're going to get Aaron Rogers in that offense going. So Eddie Lacey pooped his big boy pants this week. Who else you got? A wide receiver through some fault of his own, some fault of...

16:47 ↗

Injury. Injuries and penalties. But Brandon Marshall, one catch, six yards. Yeah, if you were one of those guys going into Monday night football, hoping that he put you over the top, he did not. And you probably screamed into your pillow if you watched him catch the touchdown pass that he caught last night and had it called back with an irrelevant illegal hands to the face by an offensive lineman. So Marshall did not perform. What are your thoughts on him?

17:16 ↗

He's kind of venturing into the category that, well, see, Alton Jeffrey had a good game, so I'm not as worried about him. But he's venturing into this category of, like, C.J. Spiller last year, where Marshall plays no matter what. And that is good unless he plays no matter what and is hurt. So do you have any concern, or was this just an abnormality slash? And he missed seven minutes of game time last night, coming off the field going into the trainer's room. I would say, yeah.

17:45 ↗

Because we were all riding. You were still coasting off of that three touchdown game, which if you remember, that's really what he did. He just happened to catch three touchdowns. And touchdowns, if you've played fantasy football for any touchdowns, are the hardest to predict of the game. Absolutely. So an ankle injury does carry some concern.

18:14 ↗

for season long if he keeps playing through it. But I would say as a worriometer, I would be at a four. So I'm not. Well, their buy is not until week nine either. So he does not have a reprieve coming. So let's hope he gets healthy. He will have a short week to prepare as well this week as they go into Green Bay. So.

18:38 ↗

Keep your eye, or actually as Green Bay comes to Chicago. So keep your eye on that as well. Any other thoughts on the duds of the week? On poop. I put, I put Ertz, Zach Ertz in here because I think he was in the top ten. Yeah, I would say all of those three Philly guys probably, right? Yeah. LaShawn McCoy certainly didn't do much for owners. But I think he still crossed the 10 point thrift. No?

19:06 ↗

No, he had a really, really bad week, yeah. It wasn't even close. Well, lucky for him. He gave three points. Oh. Let me check here. He's 3.1. 19 carries for 22 yards. And no catches out of the back field. So we had a little bit of the concussion scare in that game, if you remember. So that's something to worry about. But that's a sloppy. Yeah. That's a sloppy one. So let's move on here.

19:35 ↗

Put me in, coach. Let's talk some waivers. Let's talk some waiver wire. Let's get you some players on your team so you can come in maybe recover from some of these injuries we've seen. Who do you like this week? Who looks like... Let's go with the juicy position. Yeah, okay. We're running back. Hopefully you listened to our podcast last week when I was on the podium for Donald Brown. Yes. Donald Brown received...

20:02 ↗

A few carries this week. Yeah. He didn't do a ton of them, a ton with the carries, but the Danny Woodhead injury makes my proclamation look a lot better than it did. But when a guy is getting that kind of volume, good things are going to happen fantasy-wise. Absolutely. Reminds me a lot of years ago when Cedric Benson was getting huge.

20:32 ↗

Quantity, and good things are going to happen, like you said. And he's a great matchup this week against the Jaguas. Yeah, and he's up to about 90% owned, so he's probably not a free agent option for many of you, but he's looking really good if you picked him up last week. In terms of other guys that are looking up. Trending up, but are not owned. Alfred Blue has to be in the discussion. Hopefully...

21:01 ↗

Hopefully, you are a Texans. Yes, yeah, sorry, backup for the Texans. Hopefully you scour the news to, and you heard that Foster was highly questionable and then was actually inactive and you were proactive and grabbed him. Blue is available in almost every league right now. Okay. He's only 3% owned. Well, then. So he is a must acquire running back. Why? He's, I think he is an average talent, but the system, O'Brien.

21:30 ↗

likes one back. He seems to be old school in that thought process. If you have the guy who's the talent can do it, I agree with it because I think the positives of going one back are let them get in the game flow, let them see what's happening, let them adjust to what is happening, and eventually they're going to... Get into a rhythm. It's like if you watch... Uh-oh.

21:57 ↗

No, no, no, no. This isn't a funny movie versus. I was going to say, but Adrian Peterson, while he does do damage in the first half, whenever I'm watching, it tends to be the second half because the defense is worn down from just from trying to tackle him and him figuring things out. So that's where the one back benefit comes if you have a guy who can hold up. So Alfred Blue has a chance to step into...

22:25 ↗

Hootie-hoo? Possibly a long-term role? I would venture this week. With the chance of Foster re-injuring himself. Yeah, and Foster's hamstrings, as we know, are Stephen Jackson-like. Yeah, he's getting the workload, and it's, what did they say today, that it's been a couple months of an issue for him. Yeah. Which might be kind of a career issue at this point. I think he had it in training camp, and I don't know, he gave the dude 50-plus carries in two weeks.

22:54 ↗

for a guy who already has a bum muscles and just, and he already has lots of mileage on those tires. Right. So I, so Alfred Blue, somebody to pick up. Pick them up. I like that. Let's talk Raven's backfield for a second. Let's do it. In case you were a Ray Rice former owner, a current Bernard Pierce owner, a current Justin Fawcett owner. A man that we mentioned this man last week. Ah, Lorenzo. Big Z, Lorenzo Talley Fierro.

23:23 ↗

I don't even know how to pronounce it. Taliaferro. Taliaferro. Taliaferro. Well, we've been talking about him. We've been wondering when his time is going to come because that John Harbaugh-led team does not like Bernard Pierce. And Bernard Pierce's... And now he's hurt. Yeah, hurt. And I think what we were... What I wanted to watch last week was, if they got in a goal line, did Lorenzo get a carry? Yeah. Well, Bernard Pierce...

23:50 ↗

He decided that he just wasn't going to play at all. So he gave him an opportunity. And Lorenzo looked pretty good. They were happy with his performance. I think he was 18 for 91 with a touchdown. Yeah. And he had a 30 plus yard run. See, people last week were coming out to me going, oh, my gosh, Justin Forset is just going to blow up this week. And I said no. I said no, because Justin Forset's a known commodity in the NFL. Right. He's been around the block. He's a reliable...

24:18 ↗

change of pace running back. He is not between the tackles runner, and he has not ever proven he can do that. And so when a guy like this that you spend a draft pick on comes in and performs, I would not be surprised if Lorenzo maintains a fairly significant role the rest of the season. So go out. Yeah, I would absolutely grab him. So what are you talking Fab Dollars with him? How confident are you with Taylor-Zero? I am depending on your situation,

24:48 ↗

probably 15% is what I would. Of your fab budget that you have left? I would look at, well, I'm saying 15% of 100, not initially what you have left. So about 50, if you started with 100, I would put about 15 bucks on it. Because we're not sure that he's going to take the job. Pierce could come in and screw everything up. He's probably available in your league. So he's worth a flyer, especially at the running back position, which is a.

25:17 ↗

Desperation position. But it was sounding today like the Pierce injury will at least be this week as well. Yeah. So if Zo comes in and has another mediocre to strong game, I don't, there's no reason to look back. So is he a start for you this week, even though he's got Carolina? If Pierce is out, yes. He is. Okay. So there's some running backs. I think some guys not to worry too much about is don't.

25:45 ↗

Don't be the guy that runs to the Waver Wire and signs Joe McKnight. No, no. That's an enigmatic performance. A couple catches for touchdowns. You only got one carry. That was very, that is Coonion. Yeah, John Coon. Got to qualify that one. Sorry. By being too obscure? No. But then Jamal Charles will be back this week. Another guy, you know, we talked about Lacey already. If you need, if Starks is on the wire, you might want to handcuff.

26:13 ↗

your Lacey ownership with Starks so that you don't freak out too much. And then another guy just to keep your eye on, he's probably not available, but D'Angelo Williams is a pretty good start this week. Yes. Because Mike Tolbert's hurt. And Tolbert's out. Tolbert's on IR to return. Stewart. So Stewart probably will be. And then they're not running. Zero runs for Cam Newton last week because of his ribs. And he's banged up even more now. Yeah, they do have Baltimore this week, but Williams is a viable RB2 this week, I think.

26:42 ↗

So how about wide receivers? If you're hurting, who's the guy that you can go out and pick up? Well. Is there anybody that you're really excited about? I think that, well, I'm not sure how much what his ownership is, because I think Jordan Matthews was drafted. He might have been dropped. Yeah, he's actually, he's barely owned. He's almost 4%. Well, that's okay. Jordan Matthews is 8 for 59 and 2 touchdowns.

27:10 ↗

Welcome to the NFL, Jordan. Yeah, yeah, that was that one game. And, I don't know, Riley Cooper just, I haven't even heard his name at all this year. Who? Exactly. So, Jordan, it wouldn't take, I would not surprise me in a few weeks, Jordan Matthews has either taken his job or at least made the case that they need to go three wide. And he's going to get some, that's a.
