He says, my playoff spot is secure. This is an ethics question. Yes. Is it wrong if I throw my next games to keep someone out of the playoffs? By that, I mean...

purposely losing to allow weaker opponents into the playoffs. I have a strong feeling on this one, but you guys probably have the same one. So go ahead and speak. What are you guys in question? Yeah, I do. I genuinely question it because I imagine, no, no, no, let's talk this through, okay? Because I imagine that your answer is that you can't lose games. You cannot, is that your answer?

Correct. Okay. So let my answer is that, you know, each man needs to look at his own integrity and make a decision based off of that. Sure, sure, sure. Okay. So let me ask you this, though, because.

This is a game that we're playing based on a set of rules that, you know, the league formation and the players and the rosters and all that. And you've got to play within this rule set to try to win. Now, if you know that one of your opponents that is going to beat you in the playoffs is out there and you can help avoid meeting them, aren't you still playing by the rules? Now, you included in the rules is you have to start.

A roster, right? You have to start a quarterback. You can't bench your team or anything like that. But if you put together a team that you think helps you win the championship, aren't you still doing what is right? As so long as you're starting a roster. There is a line between if you don't want to go out and sign a streaming defense and compete in that way because, you know, you've made the playoffs. That's okay to me. But I mean, this, this applies to every.

major sport that exists right now. There are those conundrums in every sport. You know, I'm not going to play my player. I made the playoffs, so I'm going to sit all my stars for the next two weeks and let all these other... Here's all you do. All you got to do is this, Jay. Ready? And I appreciate the devil's advocate. Sure. All you have to do is put yourself in the other person's shoes. Put yourself in the shoes of the other team trying to make the playoffs and now you're throwing a game to keep them out. And if I was that other team...

I would say, man, I'm really hoping this team wins because I need to get in. I mean, I would want them to not do it. But that's not, I mean, I don't make my decisions based on like, if I'm playing you, if I put myself in your shoes, I would want you to win, but I don't want you to win. I mean, you just can't use that logic all the time. You can use the logic of if what if I did that to you in our League of Record? What if you needed me to beat an opponent on the last day of the year, which you do. I promise you. But I throw the game.

To keep you out. That's tough. No, I'll go ahead and do it if you think it's... No. I know you will because you hate me. No, I do not hate you. All right. No, we love each other. But going back to what you said, this happens in the real world, in the NFL and the NBA. I was going to bring up Greg Popovich. I feel like... Yeah, he was fine by the NBA for doing it. So the NBA found it to be an unethical type of... You think Greg Popovich cares? Yeah. When he says, when he says kiss the ring?

You heard my opinion. I don't need to go on. I'm just saying, it happens in the real. I mean, you brought it up. It doesn't happen like that. Oh, it happens all. Every, every single year in the NBA, teams are tanking. That's a difference. This is not a strategic move to get another team into the playoffs. I was going to say, I feel like I have, I could be completely wrong, but I feel like I have a memory of the Spurs where maybe they didn't try to lose because they just, they benched players to rest them, quote, unquote, but it's in a particular matchup.

that would lead to a better playoff seed. Okay, so Greg Popovich is your standard of ethics across all sports and fancy football. That's really good. One of the best coaches in NBA history. I don't have to go on because I know what the poll would look like. Yeah, and I don't agree with any of the things you guys are both saying. So what is your final verdict? Are you just playing Devil's Advocate? Are you honestly saying you would throw a game on purpose?

As a strategy. My final vote is not in a million years would I do that. That's good to know because we're in the situation. I need you to win. My final verdict is that if you are fielding a playing roster and that's what you need to do. But if you choose to start someone maybe with a worse matchup over someone with a better matchup and that's what you want to do, I think it is okay. It's within the rules.

Slippery Slub, Jason. It's definitely a slippery slob. I'm still going to play my best team. I mean, put it this way. Let's say you really want to take it to the extreme. Let's say you want to take it to the extreme and be like, oh, I'm going to go sign these guys that are going to stink. You've got to cut good players to sign bad. You're just hurting yourself. Is it wrong? Here's the question. Is it wrong to throw my next week's game to keep somebody out? Yes, it is wrong to throw it. But it is not wrong to field, not your optimal lineup. You're going to rest your good place. All right.

We must move on. This is the Megalodon. Oh, that's why I'm fine talking about it. And I think you're Megalodon.
