Fantasy Football 2017 - Title Talk, Studs & Duds, Week 17 Waivers

I mean, he's such a good player still. Right. Whether he'll want to go through the new quarterback, new coach, new offense, potentially, you know, Bruce Ariens has a very distinct offense and has maximized Larry Fitzgerald's success. It seems more like, now, a lot of people saw.

He was on the field for 44% of snaps, and I counted at least the last eight drives. He wasn't on the field at all. I mean, what are you doing, Oakland? I mean, this offense looks terrible. Who knows?

Got mad on the sideline at the coaches because you're not getting targets or something and then they take them off the field. Who knows? But, yeah, very unfortunate. The Eagles are really the one team that have the biggest question marks in regards to who's going to be playing. Whether they'll be playing Doug Peterson has come out and said. He's not deciding that until Wednesday. But they're kind of the team to avoid, so to speak, if you're in a week 17 title game. Let's talk through some of the big studs that won people titles. This week's fantasy stud muffins.

Well, Jason, you handily won your Jared Gough, Case Keenum bet. Goff. Yeah. Goff came out. Give him the horn, man. Come on. King Goughrey. He's, you treat royalty appropriately. You're absolutely right. 301 passing yards. Four touchdowns, which is incredible considering. Almost half of his passing yards were just screens the Todd Gurley. Oh, yeah, those are working. So Jeff Fisher, without using the exact words, basically said that he left the team in a very good position and like, you're welcome, Sean McVeigh. I mean, come on. Come on. You, you have got to be kidding me. Well.

He never threw screens to Todd Gurley. No, he did not. He didn't use Gurley. Like, Gurley like last year was forced into a passing role because of Benny Cunningham's injury. But it's like.

Why are you not doing this? This is what he did in college. He profiled as a three-down back, and you're using him as a two-down thomper. It's setting up those screens, too. Yes. The design of the play that Sean McVeigh has brought. It's not just, oh, the play's breaking down, check down. These are designed, beautiful screens. I really, really want to know if Sean McVeigh, and this is legit. I'm not joking right now. I want to know.

Did Sean McVeigh grow up playing Madden? Like are we entering an era of these new coaches have grown up calling plays, managing teams? Because if, I mean, if you look at high level Madden players, this is serious business. And you learn where matchups are to be exploited. You learn how to call an offense. I would, it would shock me if he's like, no, I never played it. Mike is trying to get a head coaching job in the NFL right now.

Jimmy Garapolo. My goodness. He did the impossible. Nobody has been able to throw on the Jacksonville Jaguars at all. And all he does is put up 242 yards, two touchdowns, another rushing touchdown. With day three rookies to throw two. I mean, next year you get Piergosaum back. We already like Marquis Goodwin. And I think they'll add.

some weapons to this offense. Things are looking up for the 4-0 Jimmy Garampolo. We'll talk about him later. I mean, incredible. Todd Gurley, Dionne Lewis, Gio Bernard. Yes. CJ Anderson. Yeah, CJ. Came through in the playoffs. I hope he played him. He did come through. 16 for 88 and a touchdown. 7.45 on nine targets. I mean, nine targets you're talking about. Yes. Because he's good. Added a two-point conversion. Because he's good. He is. He's very good.

The question I have is will he be a Bronco next year? I know his contract is. I'll check it real quick. Yeah, you can look into some of the contract info. All right. Well, who else? Bilal Powell had the big game, which was kind of like, you know, you had your odds on hopes that Bilal Powell would be the guy for New York. He was 19 for 145 and a touchdown. Yeah, he looked great. If you took a chance on him, you got.

It got paid off. Melvin Gordon was good. Cream Hunt was good. Lev Bell, the big guys. Outside of that, is there somebody that really impressed you in the stud running back category? Jordan Howard. The one I would like to talk about, Jordan Howard touchdowned his way in because he was 22 for 44 on the ground. But the guy I want to talk about is Dionne Lewis, who is, I mean. Took full advantage of no Rex Burkhead. I love Rex Burkhead, and I love Mike Gillisley.

You knew coming into the season that Dionne Lewis is likely the best running back on the roster, but can he stay healthy enough that they're able to utilize him? And he's back, man. 24 carries. Going into next year, it will be very interesting to see what the Patriots do because Rex Burkhead was only a one-year contract. I would expect he's back. Mike Gilleslie was a two-year. I would expect him to be gone.

What will Deon Lewis be next year? Yeah, I mean, it's a good question. Yeah, it's hard. I will say this. If he comes back and appears to be the starter, I won't be drafting him. I won't be drafting him high because what you've seen, there will be stretches where he's awesome. There were stretches where Gillisley was awesome. There were stretches where Burkhead was awesome. And you'll see that again next year. It's a Patriots running back. They fooled me this year. They fooled me in the beginning. Philly's kind of running that offense right now, too.

Right. Philadelphia with Blunt, Clement. Uh, Wendell Smallwood's been a healthy scratch. This was the guy who you thought might be the starter at the beginning of the year.
