Really?

No, not really. For clumsiness? Just for being fat, Mike. Are we going to gloss over the fact that you combined attentive and intentional and said intentive? Well, look, we've talked about it on this show before. Just because something is not a word, if I say it and you know exactly what I mean, it's now a word. No, no, no. Here's the truth. As soon as he said it, I googled it because I was like, that's not a word. It is a word. Intentive and it means exactly what he meant.

So I'll stay here and wait for the apology. It's kind of like a few days ago, Al, when you said something was uneatable. And I'm like, I believe you be inedible because uneatable just sounds really stupid. And then we looked it up and apparently that is a real stupid word. Welcome to the footballers. I don't know what's going on because my household now has two sick children. Uh-oh. Coming off the heels of the third one missing a week of school just a couple weeks ago. How was the Moore household? Are you holding up? The more household is finally fine. I was down for a month. And when I went to the doctor, they said some nasty viral cold has been going around. Yeah, it's not been good here in the desert. But Andy's out. That means we're joined by the cardboard extraordinaire.

Which player reminds you the most of your middle school self and why? All right. So.

We talked about this yesterday, and it was a pretty quick answer for me, because I know what my middle school self was. The player that reminds me of my middle school self is Baker Mayfield. Okay. Because I thought I was the shiz. You know what I mean? Like, I thought I was the best at everything. You know, I was super funny, and I loved sports. I could beat anybody at sports.

Then it kind of turned out I wasn't as good at those sports as I thought I was. And me and a guy named BJ, you know how his life went, in middle school. Oh, okay. I'm with it now. We're the only two kids in middle school to not make the football team. That's a true story. They...

They told kids they couldn't play? Exactly. In junior high? Yes. In freshman, everybody, you just sign up to make the team. But in junior high, you had to try out. And they let all but two, all but two in. So apparently I was not as good as I thought I was. And right now, Baker is not as good in the NFL as he and others thought he was going to be coming in this year. And he's funny.

So that's, my middle school self is Baker Mayfield. I'm going to go with Tom Brady. Interesting. Now, you got to, it's a long time ago. Because he was great. No, no, that's built in. But no, part of it, if you go back, it's a long time ago. Tom Brady wasn't always, like, fashionable, handsome. Sure. He was, he was sloppy and a weird looking dude in college somehow.

He grew out of that phase, and now he is the goat. He's the Tom Brady we all know and we love. I think it was as soon as he married a supermodel. No, well, just like, okay, we're going to have to fix some of this. The handsome transformation started a little bit before that. So if you go back and you look at me in middle school, things were awkward. It was not peak, Mike, right? It took to my 30s until I really hit my stride. But now you, but now you said you've got it. Okay. Okay. Goodness.

The Arizona Cardinals have signed not only Alfred Morris, which was a couple days ago, then right after we ended the podcast, news broke.

The Cardinals are bringing in Zach Zner. David Johnson did not practice Wednesday. Jason, I'm on red alert. Yes. I am fully on red alert for DJ to miss this week. I won't go as far to say multiple weeks, but that's at least a thought in the back of my head. And now it's a thought in everybody else's head because I said it out loud.

Yeah, this is a DJ and DJ problem. They, they're, the, the backup to the backup is DJ Foster. We call it a DJ squared. Mm-hmm. He's out. And David Johnson looks like they are, are certainly not sure that he's going to be able to play this week. You know, he, look, Cliff Kingsbury said on Friday, if the game was today, he couldn't play. Then Sunday rolled around and he basically didn't play. Now he is not practicing. And they signed up.

Two backup running backs. I don't know how we can expect him to play at this point. But I think, you know, there was an inch of worry where it was like, oh, man, you're bringing in two. Is this one of those, we've seen these situations before where all of a sudden, unexpectedly, after a transaction, so-and-so goes on the IR. Oh, don't say that. We saw it with Josh Gordon, right? You trade a number two pick for Muhammad Suno. And you're like, really? And then Josh Gordon goes on IR.

So I had that worry for a minute, but then as I looked further into it, the DJ Foster being back, being also injured and leaving only Chase Edmonds as the only running back, I think they had to sign two players. They did, but so this week I'm expecting DJ out. Speaking of Josh Gordon, the Patriots did place him on injured reserve. It ends his 2019 season with the Patriots. However, all the talk is as soon as he is healthy.

They're going to release him. And that could happen sooner than later, and then he's free to sign. This is, he's just, he's done with the Patriots. They're moving on. This is what they've chosen to do. They'd rather have Mohamed Sanu for the cost of a second round pick. Sean Peyton has said that Drew Breeze may be a game time decision for the Arizona Cardinals. Drew, or against the Arizona Cardinals. Drew,

This week against Cardinals. Yesterday I said there is a 0% chance of Drew Breeze playing, and I did that based on logic. I don't have any idea in the world. Rational coaching, Jason, it gets us all. The fallacy of rational coaching, but why in the world would the Saints against the Cardinals before the buy bring back? At home. I mean, you're going to win the game with Teddy. You're like.

probably pretty easily. And so to bring him back one week before the buy just makes very little sense to me. But we need to be aware as a fantasy community that Breeze is saying he expects to play and that it's a possibility of game time decision. I still don't think it happens. Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook remain sidelined for Wednesday's practice. They both missed this past week's game. That.

stinks because Jared Cook would have gone off against Cardinals because he plays tight-in. Josh Hill? Maybe. What a world we live in. Cardinals. Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Devante Adams could go right up to game time for a decision on if he's going to play for fantasy purposes. How does this help you? There are the Sunday night game. Yeah, I mean, this is one of those situations where maybe.

You can grab, you know, Geronimo Allison's been on waivers or some of those guys. And if you want to grab one of them so that you can wait and have Devante Adams in your lineup. And then if game time decision, he's out, you can sneak in Geronimo or MBS or whoever you can grab as another wide receiver Sunday night or Monday night, I would be willing to do that because the weight is worth it for Devante Adams. And we saw last week that LaFleur is fine.

starting guys who don't practice all week. Geronimo and MBS, they didn't practice all week long. They got the starts. 49ers coach, Kyle Sannan, expects Manny Sanders, the newly acquired Emmanuel Sanders. He expects him to play right away this week against the Panthers. Are you interested in playing him, Jason?

I am hesitant to play him, but I think you can't. I mean, he's going to be fed and probably forced a few targets to show off the new shiny toy. I just don't expect him to have a monster game. Raiders running back Josh Jacobs with his shoulder. He did not practice on Wednesday. John Gruden referring to it says he's got a legitimate shoulder injury. He got hurt in the Green Bay game if you, quote, and had it shot up. John Gruden, just letting people know.

What they do. Hey, isn't this what you want? It is. I find that refreshing. Very refreshing. Like a summer breeze. If you watch the game, Jacobs did leave for a while. He managed to come back.
