Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Get that unverified swine away from the studio. Oh, man, this show is 100% verified. It's a two-man show today. It's a two-man show this week. As Mike is away from the office, we just couldn't take it anymore. Honestly, at some point, it's a trust issue. We said...
Look, I want you to enjoy your family and have a vacation and you feel free to come back here as soon as you're verified. So Andy and Jason, two thirds of the fantasy footballers are here. Welcome to the show Monday, November 14th. What a weekend of football. There were some really cool things and some really gross things that happened. Upside down world. There were some upside down things. Jokes that we made about Doug Peterson came true.
Seriously, what is going on with Doug Peterson? You know, it's not, it's not, it's not misinformation or a lack of information. Now it's, it's just wrong information. It's just, you know exactly what he's, what the truth is if you just take oppositesies. You just say, whatever he said, I believe the exact opposite, and you could take that to the bank. It's so painful for fantasy owners when stuff like that happens. Because there's nothing that can be done to avoid it. Ryan Matthews was, was, uh, the top.
I think he was the third best running back this week. Congratulations to everyone who had a monster point total on your bench. Yeah. If or on the waiver wire. Yeah. Yeah, that was one of many upside down things to happen. The Bears fans were quick to let me know that that's why they don't like Jay Cutler. Oh. So there was that. Yeah, not the best week. So there were also, though, some.
Some really exciting things, some guys that panned out the way that we thought or hoped as well. My almost upset of the week? Hey, there you go. Denver. One in the most improbable of fashions. I can't even believe it. I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose a game that way. I'll be honest. You go down and you actually win the game, right? I mean, that's how you feel. With just about no time left, you score the touchdown and just need the extra point to win.
I went away from the game. The touchdown happened. I moved away, and literally you should have seen my face. So you've got certain games up on the TV, on your phone. I pull the game up on my phone. I see it's 25, 23 Denver, and my face goes, it like contorted into this, what? Because you think at that point, if you didn't see it, if you didn't see it, and you think, okay, well, they came to die. They didn't get the extra point somehow, and then what? They lost. It was just.
You think safety? Yeah. That was crazy. And if you don't know what we're talking about, basically what happened in that game was Drew Brees came down to take the tying touchdown where an extra point would win the game. Game is basically over. Yeah, a minute left. Yeah, they go to kick the extra point. It is blocked and returned all the way. So not only did they not miss the extra point and then, okay, well, now we got to go into overtime.
But they actually lost the game on that play where you assume you won the game. Also couldn't believe Carolina collapsed, 17 point lead, fumble by Kelvin Benjamin and a last second field goal there. So lots happen. Like we said, it'll be a good show. We're going through the stud muffins, the pooped in the big boy pants, Monday night preview. Or Raising Cain's Rising Stars of the Week? That's right. We've got the rewind. So it is jam pack. Now, from time to time.
We like to read reviews that our listeners leave on iTunes other places. It's one of the ways you guys can support the show is leave a review on iTunes. This one came through, and I just felt like there was no choice but to read it. So as only Jason can, we're going to jump into the reviewosaurus. Reviewosaurus rags. This one comes in from the Dynasty Butcher. Yeah, he sounds really scary. He says, look.
I love many fantasy football podcasts. Many days, though, I don't have time to listen to more than one. On those days, I choose the footballers, and it's not a hard choice at all. These dudes are hilarious, and their advice is astute. When they get off topic, I don't find myself rolling my eyes like I do with other podcasts because they bring it back quick, and it's always entertaining. My only beef with this podcast, almost costing them that fifth star.
in my rating. Uh-oh. Is that one of the guys, Mike Wright is not verified on Twitter. I like the guy. I just don't know if I can trust him or if I might be getting catfished like Manteo. Also, he kind of looks like a homeless man sometimes. Sometimes, all the time. Just makes me a little uncomfortable. Anyways, thanks for the daily entertainment ballers. Well, thank you, Dynasty Butcher. Sometimes reviews just hit the nail right on the head.
You know, things that we know. Let's be honest. To be true. We deserve four stars because of Twitters. Well, he's homeless. We got rid of him. So it's okay. Yeah, he's gone. No, he's enjoying a well-deserved vacation with the family. He's in Disneyland. The happiest place on Earth. Yeah.
Unless you have your three kids with you, in which case it's the happiest and the most tiring place on earth. The happiest place on earth for your three kids. Yes, yes. All right, if you want to follow us, do so on Twitter at theFFBullers. Head to the website, the fantasy footballers.com, lots of good information on the site. And obviously check out, join thefoot.com, our year-round fantasy football community. Let's get to the rewind. Weekly rewind. Did you know we have a special guest on the show tomorrow? I did know that, and I'm pretty sure he's done a thing or two in his career.
Yeah. Are we revealing it? We might as well after Ezekiel Elliott did what he did. Yes, we will have Eric Dickerson himself, Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson on the show tomorrow, sharing some of his insights on a number of running backs, running back situations, and whether Ezekiel Elliott has a chance to break that coveted rookie record of 1808, I believe, 1808 yards. It has stood for a long time since Eric Dickerson took that home.
Will it be broken? Will it be broken? So we'll have him on the show tomorrow. Looking forward to that. All right. Weekly rewind. Larry Fitzgerald will undergo an MRI on his knee on Monday, was taken to the locker room after landing backwards on his neck, came back in. It seemed like every catch he made in this game, he ended up partially injured in some fashion. You just need a monitor to that. We don't know anything else. I think he'll be okay based on the fact he came back in and continued to dominate. Yeah, the way he finished the game seemed like he was okay.
I assume he will play. He'll probably be given some days off, but worth monitoring. All right. Doug Peterson's mentor, John Fox says Jonathan, sorry, he says Jordan Howard has sustained a possible ankle injury, maybe an Achilles injury. Jordan Howard is denying that he suffered any injury. But again, you're going to need to pay attention to that. If Howard was to miss time, who are the beneficiaries? Cadeem Kerry. Cadeem Kerry, Jeremy Langford. Langford might be back into the discussion. I would assume that if...
If Jordan Howard was gone, I think Jeremy Langford would take back over that starting role. I do not think Jordan Howard will miss time, but we'll know much more as the week goes on. Lamar Miller briefly missed the game, left the game doing an ankle injury. He came back in. I believe he only played 26 snaps in this game. Yeah, when you say he came back in, it seemed like he was basically gone from the game. He started the game on fire, had a 45-yard run, looked great.
left the game and wasn't really the same with that ankle injury once he was back out there. So hopefully he gets rest and is still practicing, though, late this week. All right. And the Cowboys, they're calling this the big dilemma. Jerry Jones confirmed Dak Prescott will remain the starter. Tony Romo suffered a setback during rehab. I wonder. Is that a mental setback? No, I know what the setback was. It was that DAC is really good. Yeah.
I mean... Somebody came in and twisted his ankle? I... Yes. Okay, hold on. Let me take a look at... They're just massaging his foot and then... Yeah. Here's the deal. If Dak Prescott were to get injured this week and blow his knee out in practice, Tony Roma would be completely healed. I'm just saying... Yeah, that's a terrible... No, I don't... In fact, let me just throw this out there because he's not. Dak Prescott was almost...
He is my backup for Raisin' Kain's Rise and Star of the Week. He has proven to me that I am completely confident in him fantasy-wise. He has three weeks in a row of basically 30 fantasy points, and he has thrown or ran for multiple touchdowns going all the way back to, I think, like, week three. I mean, that's what you need in fantasy football. So, DAC is...
certainly a rising star for fantasy, certainly a rising star in the NFL, and Tony Romo's not coming back for the Dallas Cowboys while he's out there. Yeah, and I believe it came out that Romo was willing to be a backup, understanding the situation. So credit to him for the willingness to do that. And you can't be in a better, you know, so many quarterbacks, you've seen the Cardinals in years past, other teams with injuries.
going to the playoffs with nothing. That would be great. They're okay. They're safe. The Cowboys would be smart to accept that and allow him to be there for those games. I mean, if he went down in a game, it would be really nice to say, oh, I can bring in Tony Rome. Sure, sure. This week's fantasy stud muffins. All right, let's.
Run through the big performances of the weekend. Obviously, we have the Monday night game this evening, so there'll be a few more. But Marcus Marietta, what more can you say about this guy right now? 19 for 26, 295, and now four touchdowns.
He didn't even need to do it on the ground. He's been on fire. You talk about an honorary rising star. The only reason I didn't pick Marioita is due to the playoff schedule being a little more difficult. He starts week 14, I believe, while he's off in week 13, has Denver and week 14. So I didn't like him as a long term or as a playoff quarterback for fantasy owners. That being said, absolutely been astounding, being great. He's had...
Three plus touchdowns in four of the last six games. He's put together an incredible run. He's done it with only 14, 11, 14, and 8 rushing yards the last four weeks. So these top, you know, 30 plus performances without the rushing yards that he's capable of, really impressing me. The team is impressing me overall. And so really great performance by Mariotta. Certainly. You can still play him. Just keep in mind that playoff schedule is tough. Big Ben, 37 for 46. This is home big bin.
