Yeah, I was going to say he was at home and he was amazing because he's amazing at home. The real test comes this week for Big Ben because he was, I mean, he's always a fantasy superstar at home and he is so disappointing on the road. This week, he's going on the road, but to Cleveland. He'll be all right. He'll be all right. Cleveland is home for everybody to see you're aware. Russell Wilson and Aaron Rogers had big fantasy days. Russell Wilson, 348 and 3. All three of them to Doug Baldwin.

127 passagesYou know, he's doing it again. He did exactly what I said. If they have a need to score, he's going to do it because that's what the stupid Seahawks do. Well, okay, so you kind of took the words out of my mouth. I was going to disclaim the fact that, okay, people know we're Cardinal fans. And so they might think there's an embitterness to the Seahawks, which they'd be right about. Oh, you're darn right. That aside, the calls and the place that go the Seahawks way this year.
And historically, they just mesmerized me. I don't know if that was a penalty, though. I don't. Honestly, if there was a penalty there, I think it was more on grunk. They both were fighting. Yeah, that was the right call. It was a great game. There were several great games in the NFL. But Russell Wilson, you did see that he was able to move around in the pocket a little bit. He looked good. I think if he's going to be in matchups where you know the other team is good, I am much more willing to play him.
as a viable fantasy star. Pop quiz, do the Green Bay Packers make the playoffs? No. No, the Green Bay Packers do not make the playoffs. Their team is legitimately bad. Their offense is great. And whenever you have a quarterback like Aaron Rogers, who is it? Is it great? I think their offense would be able to score enough to beat any team out there if their defense was good. I guess they have more points scored.
than any of the NFC West teams. Yeah. Their offense is just fine. They have more than anybody in their own division. Their offense could win games if their defense could stop people. But the problem was they've lost too many pieces on defense. As soon as Sam Shields left, the dominoes started to fall apart, which means this is really good news for fantasy for the Green Bay offensive players. You know, you worry sometimes about...
matchups, but it's kind of like what you see with the New Orleans Saints. The matchups don't really matter because the other team is always going to be able to score, and the quarterback is good enough to hang in there with the best of them. So I think it's good news for fantasy, bad news for the Packers. Drew Breeze put to rest any concerns about Denver. I mean, he had a good game. 21 for 29, 303 and 3. Should have won the game. I think I said last week I thought the Saints were going to make the playoffs.
This doesn't help. Breeze was honestly in consideration to me as a rising star. I didn't do that because it would be ridiculous. Sure. Because of course he's not a rising star. I just. But you wanted to give him some sort of trophy for beating Denver the way he did. Yeah. I mean, it's truly unbelievable. When you look at the fact that no team, let me count the amount of teams that have scored over or scored have passed for more than 200 yards, more than 203.
on the year. And that includes Philip Rivers and Matt Ryan. Those are two of the three and Andy Dalton. And then Drew Breeze comes out and throws for 303 against that defense. Drew Breeze is unbelievable in his old age. And Cam Newton had a good game. An incredible touchdown run, 12 for 54 on the ground. That really carried him. And then 23 for 38 with 261 and 1 through the air. They got off to a quick start, but.
They did. They did, and they lost again. So do they make the playoffs? No, I think their record says that they are now out of it. Okay. Let's move on to the running backs. What more can you say about this young crop of guys like David Johnson and Ezekiel Elliott? I mean, Elliot just went ham and eggs this week. Three touchdowns. I mean, I told this people want to acclaim the line, and they should. It's a great offensive line.
But there is no chance that this team is 8 and 1 without Ezekiel Elliott. I completely agree. You put Alfred Morris there, and Alfred Morris would do a good job. He would be a fantasy stud that he's not going to do what Ezekiel Elliott does. He's not going to break that. Game is on the line. Let me just go ahead and run 25 yards for the touchdown or break away that whatever it was, that 80-yard screen pass. Screen pass for a touchdown. He has looked electric. And also his...
He's over 1,000 yards now. His pass blocking is great. He takes guys out of the play. Other guys come in and they get in the way and slow a guy down. Zico Elliott, when he's blocking a dude, he just takes him out of the play. So I'm going to put you on the spot here, all right? Well, I know what's coming. Two difficult questions with Zeke, with Lev Bell, and with David Johnson. It's kind of moot in a fantasy show to say those guys are good. Ooh, they played well. Okay, we knew that.
But let's ask two important questions. Question one, who would you rather have in a dynasty league? Ezekiel Elliott, Levion, Bell, or David Johnson? It would be Ezekiel Elliott. Ezekiel Elliott was drafted to be what we have seen him to be. His quarterback is young. I trust the longevity of the offense over the Cardinals. So the variables in Arizona over the years could affect David Johnson more than you see them affecting Zeeke. Exactly.
And then this season, rest of season, Zeke, Bell, or David Johnson? I think I would take David Johnson this year as the number one, certainly not because I'm a Cardinals fan, just because he is so much more involved in the passing game. Both of those guys are excellent. If you want to take one over the other, there's no problem with that. Either one could finish higher. I just prefer the guy that is going to get four or five receptions a game. I'm already looking forward to the redraft.
rankings for next season with some of these big time young running backs it's going to be a hard decision i don't even know how you make melvin gordon yeah yeah you can throw them in that group too and we're going to talk about those guys with eric dickerson tomorrow all right le garrett blunt three touchdowns in le garret blunt style but that's what you need so i mean he had a big game and he's scoring i think he has 12 touchdowns on the season that's incredible um
Will he keep it going? There's no way he doesn't keep it going. He has not had a game yet where Tom Brady has played where he has not scored a touchdown. Now, I'm not saying he continues scoring a guaranteed touchdown every game, but that pace with Tom Brady and the current offense.
They give him the carries. They use him on the goal line, and he's performed. Why would they stop? You've got an offense that moves the ball and gets down on the goal line, and they're going to have the opportunity to give it to Lagart Blunt. He had 21 carries yesterday. Legerat Blunt is locked and loaded rest of season. Ryan Matthews, we talked about it. What do you do now as a fantasy owner? Honestly, what do you do? I mean, this was 19 for 109 and two touchdowns, two for 30 in the air.
At a two-point conversion. It's straight up Russian roulette. It's take a revolver, put one bullet in it, spin it, and put it to your head. Because. And do you wait, do you hope that the bullet's in the chamber or not? I think you definitely hope the bullet is not in the chamber. Okay. My point is when you start him, he just, he can end up not getting a touch. He can end up barely playing the game when he's healthy. It's a hot hand type of situation. It's a, even Wendell Smallwood had plenty of carries yesterday.
It is a mess. You know who didn't have a lot of carries? Darren Sprouls. Darren Sprouls. They're locked and loaded two weeks starter. I will say this for Ryan Matthews because people do need to know what do I do. The one thing that is a saving grace with Ryan Matthews is that when he was not very involved, he was still a goal line back and he still got touchdowns. So you have that hope where, okay, if he's not the guy that game, maybe he'll just get that touchdown and score seven points.
And then DeMarco Murray had a monster game again. I mean, just, I think some reports on Rotor World or something came out right before the game started that said, you know, he was still struggling with some discomfort in the toe. And then the first play from screaming, he goes 75-yard touchdown. He is just, he's a human checkbox. You just, running back one, you just put a check mark next to it is a done deal with DeMarco Murray. But we give him a stud muffin.
mention right there. Now, before I get into the wide receiver and tight-in stud muffins, I want to thank today's sponsor of the show. Look, Seat Geek, you've heard us talk about Seat Geek. I received an email this weekend, all right? Unprovoked email this weekend, and it started out saying the Seat Geek app is awesome. One of our listeners looked to take his son to a UCLA football game. He needed a good vantage point to the game, and he went onto their website for UCLA and tried to find tickets. They were very pricey.
decided to fire up the Seat Geek app, found two seats that were $30 below face value each. In his excitement, he forgot to put in the promo code, which is footballers, by the way. Footballers. Footballers. That's texture.com slash footballers. All right. Let's talk about the wide receiver stud muffins for the week. It's almost like an instant replay of last year with Russell Wilson's production now in the second half. And that has to come with Doug Baldwin, right? Doug Baldwin, three touchdowns reminding people of how he finished the year last year, six for 59, but three touchdowns. Do you buy into Doug Baldwin as that? I mean...
What is this week mean? This was the exact week that Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin kicked it off last year. Did they have like a little party beforehand? I mean, this is incredible. You know, you're not going to see three touchdown games, obviously, from Doug Baldwin week in, week out. But what it does say is that he is, he was last year. And, you know, last year when the Doug Baldwin thing was happening, I went and I watched a lot of film on them to see.
Why is Doug Baldwin scoring so many touchdowns? Is it just kind of gameplay dependent? Was it luck? Was it they're running plays for him? And in the red zone, Doug Baldwin is the man that they look for. They run plays for. They target. They are specifically setting him up. Very similar to, you know, what you see with Larry Fitzgerald in Arizona if they get down near the goal line. And this offense is going to start going. You see CJ Proce looks like a legitimate.
running back to get things moving. You're going to have Thomas Rawls coming. You're going to have Russell Wilson getting healthy. And Seattle is usually a better second half team than a first half team. So I think Doug Baldwin is going to keep it hot and be good for fantasy the rest of the way, not three touchdowns a week, good. But I certainly buy in. It seems like Seattle and dollars are the teams to beat in the NFC. Probably Seattle at the top of that list just because you're going into the playoffs with experience versus.
inexperienced. So Baldwin, great week. Rawls set to come back next week. Let's talk about a couple of different names here that I think are important. Now, Antonio Brown had a big game. He kind of padded in that last drive. Yeah, he's always going to have a big game. Next. Yeah, you're starting him. Jordan Nelson, another big game. You're starting him. You can't ignore that either. Jordan Nelson is the clear one. People started getting down on him when he had a two game bad stretch.
