This episode is brought to you by State Farm. Every football fan is different. Some won't wash their lucky mustard-stained jersey until the season's over. Some insist they can't sit down on third downs and some pick their favorite team because, I don't know, just like football fandom, nobody's life is exactly the same. And that's why State Farm gets to know you, not as a policy number, but as an actual person.

Yes, you do. If you want to follow the show, how do we do that? We do that on Twitter at the FF Ballers. We do that on Facebook. You can go to Facebook.com slash the fantasy footballers. We started putting our segments up on Facebook, the video segments of the show. So you can check those out on Facebook. Like us on Facebook and see us in your stream. Yeah, and we are on YouTube.
And you can go ahead and subscribe on YouTube. All the shows go on YouTube. In fact, we just paid out three weeks' worth of water bets. Oh, yeah. And so we had to pay those out, spin the wheel of water. It was pretty bad. In fact, the best watering that's ever taken place, I think, was Jason. He got ice bucketed. He's still cold. His reaction in slow-mo is pretty amazing. The piece of ice just stayed on my head, cooling the brain.
To unnatural temperatures. You were in agony. It was delightful. And check out the website, the fantasy footballers.com. You can go ahead and submit questions to us for the show on the website. You can see our rankings. Our rankings are up there for week number 13. You guys doing good? I am doing spectacular. All right. We got quick questions of the day, which is really, I'm going to ask you guys, I'm going to pretend to be a player, and you guys have to figure out who it is. Quiz. And you guys are competing against each other. Oh, all right. So.
Don't be a loser. One of you will be. So wait. You ready? Yep. All right. So you try to figure out who I am. My team has played 11 games. I've played 10 of them. Okay. Of those 10 games, I have scored a touchdown in every game but two. So eight games. However, I've never eclipsed 100 yards in any game this season. So who am I? Ooh.
I've got my guess. Eric Decker. That's who my guess is as well. That is correct. All right. I am Eric Decker. I got it out first. It doesn't matter. You two shouldn't look at the dock because it has clues in there. Don't look at it. Just listen. There's clues in it. I'm just trying to look at the question. No, I know. But you can hear me. He doesn't get the point for that. So one point for Mike. That's ridiculous. It's first come first serve. One nothing, Mike.
I said it before you said. No, you didn't. You said, I think I have a guess. And then Mike said, Eric Decker. And then I said, yeah, that's who I said. And then you go, that is correct. I believe that is called second. All right. All right. All right. I don't know if you know how a line works. Yeah, it's the first person actually wins. This is America. In PPR and standard leagues, I lead my team in fantasy points at the running back position. I've got 25 or more receiving yards in every single game, and I play less than half of the team's offensive snaps.
Theoretic. Ding, ding, ding, ding. Well done. It's already over. I got to take this sweatshirt off because I am just burning up. I mean, these are obvious. These are both obvious questions. Well, sure, says the guy who didn't answer enable. All right. This has been number three. This has been my worst fantasy year of my career. Andy Holloway. Boom. Yeah. All right. Got him. Go on. Incorrect. I am fighting for the bye.
Third question, or fourth question. This has been the worst fancier of my career. I have not eclipsed 100 yards in any game. I've even put up a few goose eggs. I had one decent week against my former team. Andre Johnson. You got it. Yeah. Yeah. But here's the funny thing about Andre Johnson. Average drop position. What do you think it was? Oh, he was pretty high. Fifth round. I'm going to go fourth round. 41. 41, and he was the 16th wide receiver taken, and we missed on him, didn't we?
Not this guy. The whole world did. The whole world missed because they drafted him so early. Yep. What do you guys think about Theoretic though? I mean, that's a pretty impressive stat line. Theoretic, for those who have lived with the fantasy footballers, because we are a year-long show and we were going last off-season. Theoretic was a guy that we loved going into the off-season before the draft. Amir Abdullah kind of changed everything.
because there was the assumption that Abdullah has the talent. He's a second round pick. Maybe the team is not very pleased with Theoretic, and it's going to be Abdullah's show. So we've kind of faded Riddick and clearly faded him too much. You and I disagree. We can go back on those tapes, though. I mean, I told you I thought Theoretic would be involved. Your opinion was that...
They were done with him. That's why they drafted Abdullah, which is fine. I apologize if I put that in, but I didn't think that. We liked him, and then I loved Abdullah after the draft. Sure. No, and that's fair. It's the same argument that could be made against Devante Freeman. If you love Devante Freeman, why do you draft Evan Coleman? Right. As a team. Now, that being said, I mean, these stats, he leads his team in fantasy production, but that's not saying much. The 16th ranked running back in.
in PPR leagues. In full point. All right. That's saying something. Yeah. I mean, that's not, I don't think of it. Does anybody think of him as an RB2? No, I know. And he was. I mean, he is in PPR. And he's on waivers. We talked about him yesterday on the waiver show. Yeah, just kind of crazy. He's second in receiving yards behind Woodhead. Yeah. And, man, San Diego, this is a public service announcement from the fantasy football community. Get back to it. Throw Danny Woodhead the ball. I don't even know what their agenda is right now.
As a team. Other than moving. Their agenda is we're going to give Melvin Gordon 16 carries to see if he can actually do something. I guess. And the answer so far has been a strong, resounding no. So where do you, let's say he ends the year where he's at? Melvin Gordon? Doing the same things. Okay. How confident are you that he can do?
what DeVante Freeman did in year number two and be somebody special? Moderately. Because offensive line there is troublesome. That's where I was going with Gordon is the offensive line, and they have been ridiculously banged up at the offensive line in San Diego. Let's see what they would do in the draft or they address it, bringing somebody else in, and then just having everybody healthy, everyone healthy at your offensive line changes everything. All right, let's move on.
News and notes from Around the League. All right. I just thought it was very funny. Okay, let's move on. Yeah, I didn't have anything else to say about Melvin Gordon, to be honest with you. I was just curious because he's somebody who, I don't know, he might get underdrafted because he's going to get underdrafted next year, yes. It's the time of year to be thinking about those type of things because, you know, we talked on the show yesterday about Langford, about Rawls, about Jad Jai and different guys that are.
potentially Matt Jones going to have that first role. That does remind me of a nice fantasy tip, which I've done throughout the years, is have a list somewhere, write these names down today and over the next couple weeks of, I can't forget this guy. Because over the course of the summer, you're going to get all these new opinions and ideas, write them down while they are fresh while you know what is happening. And honestly, with these lists...
I hit on about 75% of them where I just remember my biggest one was just off the top of my head was two years ago. I think when Deshaun Jackson has his huge year in Philadelphia, just the way that things were trending for him. Like I cannot forget to draft Deshaun Jackson, even though he's a guy I didn't like for most of his career. Like next year it just seems like he's going to have a great year with the way the offense was trending. And they write him down right now because they will pay off. Yeah.
Yeah, so Devante Freeman wants the latest on him? Well, he missed the game with a concussion. All signs are he is trending in the correct direction, which is towards playing. And you're very confident starting him, obviously. Yeah, you have to be. Okay. Nothing to add there. All right, Carlos Williams, what's the latest on his situation behind McCoy? I have actually not heard anything. What do you got? I believe he is still out, unlikely to play. Yeah, the last I had heard was that he is not through.
the protocol yet, and so they're thinking he might miss one more week. Did he have a concussion? I thought he hurt his arm or something. What was his injury? We need to figure this out. Yeah, I might have misspoke there. Yeah, the shoulder injury. Yes, thank you. Okay. I saw something with Rex Ryan today about him not being quite ready to be back on the practice field. So that's the news that needs to get out there is that I wouldn't expect him back this week. And even if he's back, he hasn't really had an impact with McCoy.
healthy and starting. So what else do we have? We have Big Ben situation. Does he have a concussion? The last reports are that he might or might not have a concussion. It's so ridiculous. You see headlines on, you know, you can go to the same website and see like battling headlines of Big Ben says he had a concussion. The Big Ben says he doesn't. Tomlin definitely says he's in the concussion protocol.
I think he is in the concussion protocol for whatever is, you know, necessary, but he should be back and be fine. Monitor it, though, but as of now, he's expected. Yeah, there's a point yesterday on ESPN's website where there were simultaneous headlines, one on the side and one down below that was one, yeah, he has a concussion, one he doesn't. He said he was suffering vision problems or something? Ocular migraine, yeah. Oh.
That's what he said. That's not good. Either way, he's supposed to be back. I also want to mention for the Patriots defense. Jamie Collins is supposed to be back this week. I really like the Patriots defense. Terrell Pryor has been signed again. Back with the Browns. Just for more quarterback help, right? How about that, Dwayne Bo? Did we make any Dwayne Bowmets? We sure did.
We had a Dwayne Bo versus Brian Hartline on the season bet. That's going to be an easy one for Andy. I feel good about that. He's just resting, and he's going to come on real strong here at the end. He's going to have to. Peyton Manning is going to have the cast removed from his foot this week, so he may be able to play in a few weeks. You starting him in the fantasy playoffs? Nope. All right. Anything else you guys got going on in the news? So that's a crazy thing just for a very quick discussion.
My confidence level, I would start Brock Osweiler before I start Peyton Manning. 100%. Which is, it sounds as just... Wait, in fantasy? Yeah. Oh, okay. That's crazy where we have gotten to. Yeah. Yeah, I guess it's got to that point. The interceptions piled up. Exactly. So... So before we get to... I wouldn't start either of them. Well, that's... I'm not saying I want to, but just... You heard it here first. Stream, stream of the week.
