So much to talk about. What a time to be alive. What a time to be alive. I'm looking at you, Mike, and I'm just laughing. Which part? There's a lot of funny things happening right now. Well, you got a Baker Mania shirt on, which is great. I mean, I love it. It's wonderful. Injected. Direct to the blood. I mean, this is, you know, we're in October now. Aren't we? Yeah, October 1st. What heck is it? October?
Yeah, it's October. Well, I'm looking at that shirt, and it just screams Halloween. I mean, it's like a Monster Mash Baker Mania shirt. I'm very, very folly. But you're also wearing a white hat. Yeah. Yeah. And I walked in, and it's very rare. Jason, Jason's present as well, I think. Sort of physically. In body. Yeah. So, look, my hair has reached a point of no return.
where it's in that you can't possibly do anything with a phase. I need to get in, I need to get a trim. But you've got a white hat and you're wearing a white hat. Yeah. And then so, and then I did not shower this morning. See, I showered. Yeah, that's fine. Well, here was the problem. I ran out of time. I was too busy preparing the show. Here was the problem. I'm in my closet. I'm trying to get ready for the show. I get, but I'm like, oh, it's Baker Mania time. I'm, I'm juiced up. I'm ready. You're juiced up for the loss.
And whatever. I don't care. I don't care about that. But the rest of my hats are cardinal hats. Oh, mine too. That's why I didn't. I can't wear a cardinal hat and a Cleveland Brown's shirt. That just is ridiculous. Well, the funny part is Jason walked in and he thought we were doing a gag. I wondered. I was like, oh, great. What is this represent of my horrific week? And because, Andy, you have a solid.
black hat on and mike i've never seen you in a hat in my life and you have a solid white i walked in and went oh no so we're like black and white good and evil and i normally wear a cardinal hat and after that oh and four start oh i don't blame you i couldn't wear a cardinal hat so i pivoted to this uh pure black phoenix sun's hat and now we've got i mean this is like devil on your shoulder angel on your shoulder jason you're in the middle
Yeah, I'm. And I think the devil's been talking to you. Yeah, that's, that's fair. It was, look, I apologize for nothing. Oh, good for you. Good for you. Okay. I put, I bodied Mitch Trubisky, Mitchell Trubisky, and, and of course, of course. Yes, J. Gris and I, we got in a little fight. We've made up.
Oh, my goodness. I mean, the number one quarterback on the week, six touchdowns. He could have thrown 22 if they needed it, but they didn't because, you know, so amazing. And here's my actual stance. First of all, you're welcome, Bears fans. Mitchell was listening and he was like, watch this. That chasing guys mean. Yeah. And so he went in and caught fire. I'm never going to be a good quarterback, eh? Uh,
Two, why does Mitchell sound like that? I'll show him. Three. It's a prepubescing gangster. Look, nobody, nobody in the world. I don't care how big a Mitchell-Trabisky fan you are, saw a six touchdown game coming this week. But I was on record every time I blasted him saying, this is a good week for him. I was the one getting grief when I'm like, I would be willing to start him this week. And you guys are like, yeah. You got grief because.
The sandwich, if the middle of the sandwich was, I'd be willing to start him this week, both sides of the sandwich were never going to be a good quarterback for the history of the NFL. No, I deserve every ounce of grief I'm getting, 100%. It's just, yeah, it's nice that Mitch did it. And then it was, if I, I just want to complete the crap on Jason Parade here because it's deserved. Yes, this is the opposite of my usual two to. Yeah.
Different kind of toot. I quote tweeted, I think it was Schefter. He has a different kind of two. I believe it was Schefter, who announced unexpectedly that Chris Carson was not active. I quote tweet that was, start your pennies. Rashad Penny. This was, I feel like my rankings were okay this week, but those two pieces of information, I'm in full depression. And you're, um,
Yeah. Your league of record team? Yeah. Oh, man. Oh, sweet mercy. Look. One Alex Collins glumble. Yes. Had Alex Collins not fumble on the goal line I would have won? Instead, I am on four. And here's a deal. Here's a deal, fuck, man. Mike, Mike actually messaged me. I did. And he said, look, I'm not trying to be disrespectful because he knew I was in a dark, dark, dark, dark place.
He's like, but if you are selling and you want to make trades, I want to talk to you. So that's the right thing. I mean, you go to the O and four teams. With the white hat on and everything. You try to buy their pieces. At that time, it was only the white hat, though. I was going for it. But I am a buyer, not a seller. Good for you. I am not selling this year. I am going to make the playoffs. I am going to take down the title. I've said this a while.
If I am 0 in 5 next week, we'll see what happens. And I will be sweating blood. But I will probably still be here. I mean, this show may go on forever because we have the weekly rewinds, duds, duds, rising stars. And there is a lot to talk about this week. Including a huge announcement. Patrick Mahomes is just. We'll get to there. Yeah. Well, as you say, Patrick Mahomes tonight, Chiefs.
Broncos, I need Patty touchdown to win me a couple leagues, try to go four and Owen Dynasty. Brooks, I have no plans to lose to you this year. So, you know, you were the Thorn in my undefeated season and I'm going to overcome you this year. I don't think you were planning on it last year either. Oh, yes. All right. Quick question of the day. Who is the most surprising fantasy performance of?
The weekend. Who surprised you the most? For me, it was Tariq Cullen. Yeah, that's a good one. 13 for 53 on the ground, 7 for 1, 21, and 1 through the air. And really, it was the impact on Jordan Howard in a game in which they absolutely disintegrated the Tampa Bay defense to see Tariq come out and do what he did. Does it give you pause?
Does it give you excitement for Tariq? Or is this just an outlier game where he was part of the game plan? And business as usual for Jordan Howard, because this has happened before. Right. Jordan Howard had a couple tough games a couple years ago. Everyone jumped off the bandwagon. And then he was pretty much the number one running back. Part of the reason that I thought this would be a decent game for Mitchell Trabisky is because of the Tampa Bay defense. They have been so beatable through the air. I mean, they cannot stop a soul despite their...
two and one record going into this game. It was on the basis of Ryan Fitz Magic and his passing game. Unfortunately, Winston cannot play safety. Right. So, yeah, I mean, I think this was a game script thing. And coming into this season, one of the worries about Jordan Howard was when Matt Nagy came out and basically said he's going to plan games based on the opponent. And maybe it'll be Howard, maybe it'll be Tariq Cohen. So it does give you a little bit of worry.
I still think it's clear that Jordan Howard is going to be the dominant back on the majority of the season. Yeah, I think it was a game script thing. This was the, it was the highest amount of offensive snaps that Tariq had played throughout the season. He was sitting, you know, right around that 40%, jumped up to over 47% and saw a bunch of opportunities. So I think this was more, they knew how to beat Tampa Bay. I'm going to jump in here. My surprising...
player of the weekend. It was, we weren't sure he was going to play. He has not played all year. Then he had an illness. But Alshan Jeffrey came through, played over 83% of the snaps, had an absolutely dominant game, a monster game for Alshan Jeffrey. And it was, I couldn't play him in the Dynasty League. I could not play Alshan Jeffrey. I was too nervous to, with his.
with it being his first game back. And for all the people out there, you got burned by Alish and Jeffrey, just look around. I mean, we see it happen all the time. This exact weekend, Doug Baldwin came back from the injuries. Do I play Doug Baldwin? And it was probably shouldn't. Leonard Fernette came back from the injury. And so for. Dalvin Cook came back from an injury this week. Yeah. So I let you down. The process is still in favor of you should wait a week on these guys.
Allison Jeffrey looks like he's ready to play, which is fantastic news going forward, even if my bench scored a bunch of points. Right. We have a lot more history of players coming back, and at best being average in week one, at worst, just, you know, coming back and then having to leave the game and completely gooseing you, then we have history of guys coming back from injury, and game one is just like, oh, you can't miss that game. For me,
Obviously, look, Mitchell Trebisky, I think, surprised the world more than anybody. And I could pick him. He surprised himself, Jason. Yeah, he, I could and should pick him, but I've got to go with Mark Davis because clearly I did not. What about Mike Davis? Mike Davis. Mark Davis. This is how they'll tell. Mark Davis. The, uh, was that the owner for, uh, the Raiders? Yeah. Yeah, there we go. Uh, his haircuts always surprise me. He's always surprised me. Dude's a billionaire. He gets a cut.
They put a regular ball on top of his head and just... No, but, no, Mike Davis was the most surprising to me because if Chris Carson was gone and you spent a first-round draft pick on a running back who was healthy and active, you know, Rashad Penny played 24% of the snaps, I was just, I was shocked. I mean, that was...
as surprising as anything to me. Do not trust the Patriot or the, yeah, that's the normal saying, but you cannot trust Chris Carson and the Seattle running back. Last two weeks, though, Chris Carson and Mike Davis were both 20 plus points, 21 for 101 and two touchdowns for Mike Davis. I watched Rashop Penny run. My reaction is that Rashop Penny is overweight. Fat. He does not, his, his giddy up and go. His jukes look.
like not what do you look like in college? He doesn't look. Yeah, he does not look like the same man from a year ago. And, no, that's true. And then the water bet results from the weekend. Mike, he whooped me with the Anunwa over Keel and Cole. Bad week for Cole. Great opportunity for Anunwa to win him a water bet. And then Jason barely beat Mike. And this one is touchdowns over.
