Week 4 Studs & Duds, Rising Stars, White Hat, Black Hat

Week one looked great for Corey Davis and then he had a couple down weeks, but nine for 161 and a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles, you can start Corey Davis every week as long as Marcus Marietta is healthy. I'm not going to drop Russell. And I really don't like to roster two quarterbacks unless there's a extenuating circumstances. And I think this qualifies. I would, like if Andy Dalton or someone like that still happens to be on the waiver wire, I would rather pick them up at this point and wait until Doug Baldwin is fully back.

He was breaking off 6, 7, 8-yard runs, but then every other run was negative 5 yards because the defense was behind the line of scrimmage. The second half, he doesn't touch the ball again, and you go, okay, it's okay, because they said coming to this game, he's going to be on a pitch count. So maybe it was...

They're giving 10 carries, he got 10, and then they're not going to have him touch the ball anymore. And what I, as a Dalvin Cook owner, was thinking is I need to hear if there was any worry about the injury after this game. Because if there was any worry about the injury, then the reason he didn't go out was not a pre-game plan pitch count. It was reaggravation, and they just don't want to say it. Because they kept saying in that game, no, Dalvin Cook is healthy. This is not because he's injured is the reason why he's not getting on the field.

As I say, if Derek Henry was on the waivers and so I'm saying, should I pick him up, my answer to that person would be, of course, yes, pick up a starting running back in the NFL. Even if he's been playing poorly, and that doesn't mean you need to start him, but there's value there. Yeah, but would you rather have Naim Hines? I was just going to ask you that. Or Ty Montgomery or Alfred Morris or.

Montgomery, maybe, but I was going to ask you specifically, Andy, because your opposition to Heinz, would you rather have Naim Hines, who is only really getting work in the passing game? Or Derek Henry, he had two straight weeks of 18 carries. So he's still involved. He's just not doing anything. Yeah, as I was going to say, if 18 carries equals nothing. I would rather take Naim Hines because if he cards out, if you guys are right and he cars out a special role in the offense, he's had weeks where.

I mean, I believe Naim Hines has outscored Derek Henry every single week. That sounds about right. So if that's the case, why wouldn't you take a guy that you're not sure what the role is going to be carved out into, you know, I don't think you, I would agree with Jason that you don't cut Derek Henry in every circumstance. You don't cut him vindictively. But it's the same with Drake. It's the same with any of these guys where if you got a better option to sign, you can't play scared of cutting Derek Henry. He's a time bomb.

Yeah, man, Henry, unbelievable. I mean, you cut Chris Hogan, right? Yes. One catch. Yeah, at this point, you probably do cut Chris Hogan. If you want to wait one more week, see what happens when Julian Edelman is back and see if Chris Hogan can get back to being sneaky and finding space in the end zone.

I'm okay with one more week of holding Chris Hogan. But that would be the last straw. The last straw for me. I think we're going to do a last straw segment on Wednesday. That's not bad. Godwin with 49% of the snaps on 31 of 63 snaps. And he's playing fewer snaps than Adam Humphreys this past week. So, I mean, what do you think? I think, yeah, wow, that changed fast. Yeah, and that happens. Godwin. But yeah, I would probably cut him. Yeah, I would definitely. Mike Williams slammed back to Earth, too. One for 15 on three targets. People played him. People were bummed out of their mind. It was a San Francisco matchup. You felt like you could play him. And it didn't happen for him. Tyrell.

Tyrell, the other Williams had... Well, it wasn't Keenan. Keenan ended up... He ended up okay. He ended up okay. Ten targets, seven receptions for 63 yards, but very disappointed. But I'm curious what you think. Yeah, I'm looking at the 10 opportunities, though. You can't, I'm with you. I would trade for Keenan Allen. I would not try and trade him away. I would not sell them at a lower value. Jason, you have Keenan Allen. Yep. You could potentially improve your monster team. I mean, I know there's really.

Like, there's very small spots in that team that could actually improve. Right, right. I mean, it's just so good. It's so good. You're putting up huge points every single week. Dalman Cook, Devonthe Freeman, killing it. Would you, looking at your team, saying, okay, I can trade Keenan Allen and I can try and improve my running back position. Would you do that or would you say, no, I'm going to hold on to Keenan Allen? Right now I'm going to hold on to Keenan Allen. I don't, I don't know that he.

is going to carry the value that would really upgrade. I mean, it's always going to be a value thing, right? Like, what can you get back? So there's certain things I would be willing to trade Keenan Allen for, but my guess is that the temperature on Keenan Allen right now is not where I think he'll continue to progress into. I still see him as an absolute wide receiver one. You know, there's no doubt to me that he finishes the season.

And a reminder that last year, right about this time, this is what was happening for Keenan Allen through his first four games, 35 yards with a score, 100 yards, 61 yards, 138.
