This episode is brought to you by State Farm. Every football fan is different. Some won't wash their lucky mustard-stained jersey until the season's over. Some insist they can't sit down on third downs and some pick their favorite team because, I don't know, just like football fandom, nobody's life is exactly the same. And that's why State Farm gets to know you, not as a policy number, but as an actual person.

to the fantasy footballers podcast coming to you from the fantasy jocks.com studios with your host Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Back in business. I was going to start the show and take everybody out, but smells like Oreos and hippie beards in here. Yeah. You guys happy to have me back or you? Daddy's home. Hey, we held it down, my man. You did a good job.

2:25 ↗

Barely. I missed you. I missed you. I didn't deal with this guy. I mean, you had one third less time to think about your grammar, but you held up. Thank you. Good job, Jason. Mike, you held down the fort on this side of the desk? Yeah, we did all right. We did all right. So happy to be back. We survived. Yeah, it was weird. I mean, I have not missed a show before.

2:50 ↗

And so that was, you know, I may or may not have been sitting on the beach, refreshing my podcast app with my family. You and the rest of the listeners. Right, right. Why is the show a little bit late? Yeah, actually, the first thing I saw on YouTube was, you know, you always have the guy that, the comment, first, first, the first guy said, late. Yeah, I'm not quite as fast at the video editing as Andy. It was a two-man operation. I know.

3:18 ↗

You guys did well. I was very impressed. You even had good advice. What? That's never happened. Welcome back to the Fantasy Footballers podcast. I'm Andy, joined by Jason and Mike. We're back again. It's Wednesday. And we've got a mailbag show today. We have Keep Trade Cut, all of the latest news and notes. And we're previewing the Thursday night affair between the Broncos and the Chargers. And we're going to get your fantasy teams ready for week six. What? Week six.

3:47 ↗

Let's do it. It snuck up on me because I was out of town for week five. Oh, by the way, I did notice one thing you omitted while I was going. Oh, you're kind of important. What? Your victory over me? That was, yeah, that's where I was going. Sure. Yeah. What were you going to say, Jason? I was just going to say, you know, week six is that time of the year where you feel like it's too late for your team. It's not. And it's not. Like, there is so, we're. So last year.

4:14 ↗

This is perfect, right? Last year, I started off 1 in 4 in our League of Record. And went the distance, lost a couple more, made the playoffs, had a great season at 1 and 4. You should have won the championship if you didn't have to play me, you know? Right, right. And solid point. I'll give you that one. This year, guess who's 1 in 4 again? You're going for it? I'm 1 in 4. You're coming back to the playoffs? I'm always all in.

4:42 ↗

I'm all in at one and four because you know what? Here's one of the illusions that takes place that people don't understand. When you're one and four and you're listening to this podcast and you're paying attention to the news and the teams and the players and everything going on in your league. Because for goodness sakes, I have seen some one and four teams that have amazing players on them. We've got one in our league. The Lev Bell, A.J. Green team is one in four because bad breaks, bad scoring. You know, you go up against Big Ben on that big week or Julio or whatever. Here's what happens.

5:12 ↗

Other teams that are, you know, two and three, one and four, oh and five, maybe they start selling. All of a sudden, your competition in that league goes from 12 teams to four teams you're going to beat automatically pretty much because they're selling pieces and you're not. It gets you a chance to be in there. And if you're making, you know, four teams, six teams make the playoffs. Come on. Stay in it. Make some smart trades right now. And teams are going to think that you're not going to be.

5:38 ↗

not going to be in it so one and four i'm in it i'm going for it i've got trade offers out there right now and uh so i'm i'm in i'm in for the long haul mike is too i know he uh he just made a big time trade in our league as well so quick question for the day guys which three running backs have the most receptions so far in 2016 i have ironically i have three guys that come to mind immediately so i'll just say them

6:01 ↗

DeMarco Murray, I feel like has to be there. He's catching a ton. I'd go with DeMarco Murray. Theo Riddick is, you know, he led the league last year. Ding. Oh, okay. I was like. And then the other guy, because I, you know, we just talked about the mark of the beast. I guess the six.

6:18 ↗

Catches three weeks in a row. I think it's just six targets. No, no, no, no, no. He had six catches. I'm going to verify that. I laughed at that. Yeah, it was six catches. So I'm going to go below Powell. That was the third guy. I'm going to go. I'm going to go with. You do not. I'm going to go with DJ, David Johnson. All right. Good guess. Not right. You guys got two or three, though. Gio Bernard is the third. Makes sense. Oh, yes. He had that. I think Gio and Theo and Theo. Theo and Theo.

6:45 ↗

They are the two that you kind of expect. And then DeMarco is obviously having a wonderful year. I've still been. DeMarco is going to have to change his name so they can rhyme. I want to go trade for DeMarco. But I still find myself having to overcome the fact I want to go trade for DeMarco. Like that is still, I mean, it's absolutely worthy. He's a beast. I know. All right. If you want to find us on Twitter, we are, well, we're there. At the FF Ballers. You can follow me at Andy Holloway. Jason at Jason FFL. And Mike at FF. Hitman.

We're an independent year-round fantasy football podcast, and we're trying to help you win your league and enjoy it as well. Enjoy your life. Enjoy your life. Yes, because fantasy. My son walked in this morning. Fantasy is life.

7:49 ↗

My son walked in this morning. He said, hey, dad. I said, what? He goes, add me to your fantasy team. And I said, I just kind of like teased it out. I wanted to see if he wanted to be a member of the actual team. That's what I was going to. And so I said, well, what do you mean? He goes, yeah, add me to your team. I go, add, he goes, oh, no, not like a player. Add me as a, you know, as a manager. He wants to co-in. And then I go, oh, you do? You want to play? And he goes, because, yeah, then I'll, you know, I'll listen to the podcast and I'll do whatever you say.

8:19 ↗

Say, why aren't you listening already, son? Right, right. My seven-year-old who doesn't have an iPod. All right, let's get into the news. News and notes from around the league. 49ers, new starting quarterback is Colin, I don't know this guy, Kaeperniak. Copernic. We're taking a trip to Aparnecker. To obvious land. Yeah, well, he's the quarterback now, but you know why he wasn't? Why is that?

8:54 ↗

Because his contract was guaranteed for injury next year for $17 million. Oh, yes, yes. So they reconfigured his contract to the fact that now he'll probably be a free agent, and so they can go out there and just, you know, throw the season away. I actually think this is a great, that was a great move to restructure that contract because what it says for Kaepernick now is that he is truly playing for a contract. He basically put himself into a contract year, whether he's auditioning for other teams. So, you know, a little extra motivation there.

9:24 ↗

I think Kaepernick is a streamable candidate on the right weeks personally because he can get it done on the ground. I would be throwing the could be in front of that because last time we saw Kaepernick in the field, he was as far from streamable as possible. He was a, unless you were in an all-interception league, in which case he was the number one quarterback. I mean, he was terrible and we haven't seen it. So I'm not going to go out and say, yeah, he's a streamable candidate yet. I think a decent portion of his struggles last year.

9:53 ↗

or because the head coach was a car mechanic. And now I think Chip Kelly is what? He's more of an offensive. He's more of an offensive. Tom Sula. Yeah. Well, haven't seen it. Not going to stream him, but you can if you want to. Jets are planning on putting wide receiver Eric Decker on the IR. In fact, that happened this morning.

10:13 ↗

And so he's going under the knife, surgery for Eric Decker. Unfortunate. The only way you can stop him from scoring every Sunday is putting him on IR and still there's a 50. That might not stop him. 50-50 chance. So Anunwa, rest of season ranking for a noon while goes up. I think you will eventually. I mean, I'm going to throw this out there. Not telling you to do it yet. Just pay attention. You know, like Cam Meredith pay attention. Austin Safarian Jenkins, involvement in the offense could begin to be a weekly thing. He got involved a little bit last week.

10:42 ↗

Obviously Brandon Marshall's there and he's going to have those targets and he's going to go beat people to the, you know, to the high point and come down with the receptions no matter how many guys that are on him. But just saying, pay attention to ASJ. Yeah, I agree. Because I don't know if a Noonwa can be consistent enough. That's my problem with a Noonwa. Do you upgrade Brandon Marshall? I do.

11:02 ↗

I think that there's just more targets, specifically more red zone targets that will go Brandon Marshall's way just by hair. And he's already used to having the best coverage on him. So I don't think it's one of those things where it's like, oh, now they roll four people on Brandon Marshall. I mean, it's just how you felt when you knew Decker wasn't playing the last couple of weeks about Brandon Marshall extended over the season. I mean, he's the guy. So Justin Forsett has landed with the Lions. Hey. It's the right home. It seems. I mean.

11:31 ↗

It's a good landing spot for him because the lions use past catching running backs. Even their first and second down when Amir Abdullah was in there, he was involved in the receiving game. And that's where Justin Fawcett, I think, can really show his skill set. He's probably worth a stash if you've got a mediocre bench. I'm not rushing out to sign him by any means. Oziata or Fawcette. Oziata. Yeah, I think I would go Aziata as well.

12:00 ↗

Despite the fact that he's on Byron. You have a weekly touchdown potential with Duke Johnson over Forset. Oh, yeah, Duke Johnson. Bilal Powell, Forset? Yes. Belal Powell. Oh, and I looked it up because I was curious. Belal Powell, fourth in receptions for running. Oh, very nice. Yeah, so there you go. Carlos Williams signed to the practice squad of the Steelers. This is news because his name is Carlos Williams and he used to matter. Trevor Simeon, game time decision for week six. It looks like he's going to start on Thursday.

12:30 ↗

This is good. I mean, Paxton Lynch struggled last week. You know, the Chargers, I believe, are 31st against the run. You'd expect this to be a game where you see C.J. Anderson heavily involved. Yes. That being said, Devante Booker, touch-wise, has been catching up on him, and last week specifically had four receptions, which I think is not necessarily extremely concerning for C.J. owners, but the more trust they have in Booker, the more breaks they're going to give CJ. I just wanted to throw out real quick on the Carlos Williams.

13:00 ↗

I think that's bigger news for Dynasty leagues. Okay. That DeWill is not long for the, for the, for the, uh, no, that's for the, for the league. I agree. And Carlos could, could be. And DeWil has a knee injury right now that he's, that he's dealing with. Very fair. Um, you guys aren't Fitzgerald Tucson lifers, huh? No. Um, Mike Tomlin, uh, did say like, like, uh, Mike just alluded to, DeWill dealing with the knee injury. Um,
