Let's talk about this weekend. I have so many thoughts about what transpired.

But why not just, I mean, we could just talk about the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. We have enough time. Probably not. Probably not. But I do, from what I understand, Sean McVeigh has, he's asked Cliff for some pointers. For some tips? After all these years, he's realized he's been surpassed by the coolest cat in all the land. A man who can't see in most rooms he enters due to the sunglasses he's wearing. That would be Cliff Kingsbury.

I mean, you, Corey Hartett, man, you got to wear these sunglasses at night. Did you see him? They don't even look expensive. Well, they look cheap. Good, good for you, Cliff. Save that money. Spend it on a house. Yeah, and did you catch him in the after, like the press conference? Some of it. I mean, he's just, he's got the shirt. It is just so unbuttoned. Like, this guy just got back from Miami Beach. The deep V. I did. It's so good.

I did see somebody asked him a question. One of their final, like, presser questions was, so did we see, did we see some new plays out there today? Did we see some new stuff? And he's just like, he's just like, no, because I just run the same old crap every week. He's just like, but what a win for the Cardinals. That's kind of one of the storylines. But more importantly, we are a fantasy football show, which means we react in the most sophisticated of manners.

to what transpired over the weekend. We work out our, well, most of them are bad. So, yeah, we work out our disappointment through... Some of them are good. Monday, Punday. Hmm, yes. How about a nice cup of deacath? We've got Miles out of gas skin. We've got Dossum and Knox. That's a good nickname. Yeah. Miles Blanders. Making his first ever appearance.

Travis Smelsey or Travesty Kelsey? Travis D. Kelsey, that's good. That is brutal. Sam Starnold. What about Pee-P-Lam? Oh, or C.D. lame. Seedy sham. You have DeAndre Whiffed. This is my personal favorite. Chuba Hubarf. He wasn't that bad. Chuba flubbard.

This is my personal favorite. We have a combo of nicknames here with Fartball Jones. Wait, so we're nicknaming the nickname? Yes. And then more importantly, the one big name that filled the scoreboard, you have Cordero Pabistats. Ooh. Or score Daryl Patterson. He don't need no snaps. He just scores. He doesn't need no snaps.

One of my highlights of the weekend was Al Borland, you know, we're in a couple, we're in a Dynasty League together, League of Record. And he comes into the Slack Channel after Cordero has his second or third touchdown. And he's just like, guys, this weekend sucks. He's like, in League of Record, somebody started Cordero Patterson against me and I'm going to lose because of it. And I started Mike Davis in that same league. Oh, man. And then I said, hey, buddy, why don't you check the Dynasty League?

Because I started Cordarral against you too. And how'd that feel? Bad? Real bad. Real bad. No. Don't worry, Al. I make it up to you by starting Cordero Patterson against Andy's son. Yeah, my son was crying most of the night. Because just to follow up on what we're talking about, this is a tweet from Adam Levitton. Cordero Patterson scored on 20 or played on 23 of 76 snaps. He was so.

He played 23 snaps. If you're a defense and you see him running onto the field, I would bet he's going to get the ball. He's going to get the ball if he runs under the field. Why don't all the other players just try to go for the end zone too? I don't know. It seems really easy. They're too tired from all the playing. I mean, to be completely honest, the career of Cordero Patterson is a travesty of its own because he's not better now that he's older. He's the same player.

and no one's been able to unleash him. Now, one of those people was Matt Nagy, so I'm not surprised. But I mean, until now, what were teams doing? We always watched him return kicks and said, this player in the open field is unmatched. He's been the best kick returner in football. He has a Hall of Fame level career as a kick returner, which we have, you know,

There's a couple examples of those players making it in. But, yeah, the fact that he could be better now, I don't know, now that he's actually getting reps in these, and he's in these meetings, you know, with the running backs, with the wide receivers. And maybe he just, he's finally learned some, some skills of the trade. Look, Arthur had a plan for Cordero. Oh, I think he stumbled into a plan. Oh, my gosh. I think the plan was Mike Davis. You know, it's funny is he, he's almost.

He's the wrong size for a running back and for a wide receiver. He's kind of like this in-between guy that they never really know where to put him. But if you look at his utilization, it's one of those things where you go, well, man, they really figured out he's kind of give him a bunch of carries and mostly use him as a wide receiver. And that's kind of happen. But you look back at the last couple years, that's how he was used. So I.

I do think that what's happening is, I mean, you watch him on the field. We said this from week one. He looked great. Just look like he had juice as a guy that I think can be, you know, flexed in any given week, even though he is obviously right now. I think he's the running back two on the season. A billion touchdowns will do that. Yes, but I do think he is, he's not quite the level. Well, he's not the two, the rest of the season. Right. Yes, exactly. He is, I think, a running back two.

uh flex type of guy every week but he's probably just out out producing his um is everything every yeah his talent yeah i mean i think he's a lock to start in your lineup rest of season whatever that means you can we can debate whether that's flex rb two or whatever but i mean his catch in the end zone that was a pro wide receiver catch that wasn't a running back also you should yeah mike davis did score a touchdown

you should trade him right away. Like Wayne Galman was active out there getting snaps. This is going to be a disaster. Yeah, I mean, I feel good. We told people get Cordell early. Yep. And it's worth it. It's worth seeing what happens there. And in a lot of ways, the explosive games that you thought you'd get out of Kyle Pitts is the two as the second best option. You're getting out of Cordell. So we'll talk all about it. We got studs and duds on the show today. Let's talk news first.

Sorry about that, too. My bad. I guess we won't talk about it. David Montgomery, had a great game against Detroit. Jason said his entire weekend spiraled with this injury, knee injury.

The Bears believe he avoided a torn ACL. I mean, he did the nice thing. He got all the points. Then he got hurt. And he did the extra nice thing of not having a torn ACL. But I tilted off the face of the planet, having just traded for him from my division mate Andy. And then being like, I took this player who's about to get injured from your team and added him to my team and got rid of Stefan Diggs. But it is great news that he did avoid the torn ACL.

probably miss a couple of weeks. Definitely will miss week five. We will see. Do you have any extra hope because of what happened with his groin situation last year? Honestly, watching him on the ground, like his reaction, you know, usually you could tell from a player like their face. It's that player knows they're out. They're not coming back. And David Montgomery looked like a man who knew.

that his season had just ended. But he's got some kind of Wolverine situation going on. I want to be clear, though. We don't know that he avoided an ACA. No, we don't. The MRI is coming today. The fear is that maybe it's sprained MCL bone bruised. They don't believe he tore the ACL, but we don't know. Yeah, that's a really good point. I remember falling for this trap once before. But just to speak to the hope, teams, if it.

They know right away if it is an actual tear. So for them to believe or hope that it's not, that's still better than an obvious. They do the quick test on the side and go, oh, yeah, that's a torn ACL. Yeah. Yeah. Further testing today, we'll find out. He's going to miss time. That's the headline. Damien Williams will be the starter when Montgomery misses time. He had a thigh bruise and what? Herbert ended up with some reps.

Damian Williams, like I said, the thigh bruise. We'll see if he's okay, but he should be. Teddy Bridgewater, concussed, left the game, didn't return. It was a nasty shot. And he needs to be back for this team to have relevance. I feel so bad for Fireball Jones making it into the Monday Punday, not his fault. This was actually a game that I think they could have won.
