I'm doing the draft lizard because, well, what else would you be doing right now in May? And I basically come to conclusion that other than the value I get for Travis Kelsey and, say, the fourth round, I'm basically stuck with getting a tight end in the later rounds, Delaney Walker, Jason Whitten. So I guess my question for you guys is, if I have one guy that I like, like Kelsey, is it...

Is it beneficial for me to just say, screw it? Everybody else is basically in the same spot past Kelsey and just wait on a tight-in while everybody else blows past it. So just give me your tight-in thought. See you. So he's asking if he doesn't get Kelsey? Yeah. Kelsey seems to be the only value he finds at tight-in in the draft. And so if he misses him... He's basically straight up questioning whether or not to adopt Jason's strategy right now for this year. Because that's...

That is my, that's how I'm approaching my drafts right now, is I like the value of Kelsey. I think the, I'd like to have Grunk or Jimmy on my team, but I don't really even like their value. And so Kelsey's the guy that I like to target. And if I don't get him, if it goes past, someone else grabs Kelsey, then yeah, I'm picking my.

tight ended up super late. Because I think there's some guys that are really, really late in ADPs that are just as good as most of the other guys. I mean, he mentioned Jason Witten, someone he's grabbing really late. Love Witten this year. Love Witten. Another guy on Twitter this week mentioned Larry Dinell. Somebody we haven't talked about a lot, but has just as much value as any of those late round guys as well. It could happen for Dinell, but he was really only valuable for a small portion of games.

And people got that taste from the Washington game where he had three touchdowns. And that kind of clout on a primetime game really changes the public opinion of a player. And he just, but he did not come through. But that's essentially what you're saying is that's the kind of argument. There's an argument like that for most of those further tiered tight ends, right? There's some type of negative. And so I'm with you. I'm with Jason here on the idea that just wait.

Unless you have a guy you really know and you really love. But even then, you're playing the value game, right? Undrafted. They could finish just fine, like a Kyle Rudolph, who everyone was all about last year. And then right now, I mean, yeah, in a standard league, Kyle Rudolph's going 17th. I mean, he's not being drafted. But the guy that I'm targeting right now late, because right now he's going late. And I think he's going to start to fly up is Zach Ertz.

I really, really believe he's going to get on the field this year from his offseason working out on pass blocking and run blocking. And so with him on the field. No Jeremy Macklin. Yep, no Jeremy Macklin. Ertz is a potential top tier. Yeah, I completely agree. If you don't get Kelsey in that spot, in that middle round spot, the guys I'm looking at getting are Ertz with his up. I'm going to gamble again on that upside. If it doesn't work out, whatever. I'll grab another tight end.

Let's say I don't get Ertz. The other two guys who I would really be looking to get would be Jason Witten and Tyler Eifford. Do not forget about Eifert. Gresham is gone. They replaced him with another blocking tight end. The tight end numbers in Cincinnati, if you kind of formulate them all together and give the bulk to one guy with Eifert, he's going to put up top ten numbers. That's a good call.

I hadn't thought about him. He's coming back from an injury. And that's the point is people aren't going to think about him. And for the strategy, you don't need to worry. You don't need to get late and go, oh, oh, no, I'm running out of options because Zachert's, Jason Witten, and Tyler Eifert that you just mentioned are the 11th, 12th, and 15th tight end. You'll get one. Yeah, that's a good point. All right. Let's move on to the next question here. If you have a tremendously deep bench.

I might look at removing one of the spots, but I would most likely, I would just leave the league completely alone, and I would add the other two teams. I would leave that flex spot in there. You don't have the three wide receiver and the flex. And really, I mean, you're just adding more strategy if you go to a 14 team like that, where you get deeper, the waiver wire gets more and more shallow. And so you're getting...

You're getting players. If you win, you have really put in your work where you're trying to mitigate, I guess, some of that luck. I still prefer 12 teams, but 14 teams with that situation, I wouldn't change anything. I would just leave it how it is.

Yeah, I agree. I think if you want to go play in a 14-team league, it's for more strategy. It's for needing to look deeper into the waiver wire. It's for, it's really more about those bench guys. So, I mean, yeah, if you got a crazy large bench. Yeah, maybe five, leave five on the bench. Yeah, five or six. If you're there, just don't worry about it. All right, let's go ahead and go, let's answer another one of the voicemail questions here. Well.

He's fired up about this. That's a super question. Super, super. He went double. What do you think? I know one thing right off the bat. Is it PPR or not? Is the absolute first question you have? Yeah. If it's PPR, then it's not what I'm going to do. But I don't think it's an idiotic move. I actually win in one of my draft wizard, I tried a spot I think it was at the 6. So my elite running backs were off the board.

Whatever, I'm going to try this. So I went Brown, and I ended up with Brown Hill for set. That's a pretty good start. And I thought, and you knew, I knew at the spot that Brown would not make it back to me. And there was, and the elite running backs were gone. And I didn't want to take Jeremy Hill right there because I figured he's going to come back just based off of the way things have been going. And I was very happy with the start. And it was a PPR. So I was.

I was super happy, super, super happy. One of the things that's funny about Antonio Brown is that, and we've said this before, he still doesn't get the respect he deserves. The guy's floor. You know, two years ago, if you had, I mean, Calvin Johnson was going number one in a lot of leagues overall because he was that reliable, scored touchdowns every week, you're never going to miss it. And nobody was really faulting that. I mean, certainly those with...

our inclination to draft running backs, we'd probably still draft running backs. But, you know, Antonio Brown is as tried and true as they come. Yeah, if Antonio Brown replicated what he did last year, then he's justified being able to be taken number one in a PPR. I think most people think his touchdowns are going to drop, but even still, you actually have a lot more, I have a lot more confidence in him than I do on a lot of the running backs out there. That's what I was going to say that. I'm with you. I mean, if I'm not the number two spot, I'm not taking them, but I don't think it's crazy to take him at all.

Yeah. All right, we're going to go over to an email from David. He says, hey, guys, just found your show a few weeks ago. He loves it. I've only been doing fantasy football for two years and one element I am still unsure of is trade strategy. Could you talk about that on a future show or just share some of your thoughts during a mailbag section? Well, we certainly will talk more trade strategy, David, on future shows. But I think we can share a few nuggets today.

If you, David, if you didn't hear it, go back to our top 10 tips and tricks show because we have a spot where we talk about trades. And there's really just a few things that you have to keep in mind with the trade is, for me, don't lowball. Don't come in with the lowball offer of, well, I'm going to do this because I know he's going to counter. Go in with a trade that you think is fair and beneficial.

to both teams maybe you i mean you still want to feel like you're winning the trade but you're you're offering a team something that they need so you can get something you need now and there's a couple different ways to do it where you do where you can just do a player for player or the way i like to do it is i try and trade maybe a little bit of depth so i can really upgrade one position

That's my mentality every single time I go into a trade. Two for ones are where I make my money in trades because it appears as though you're offering so much value back to a person. But to me, you only get to start a certain amount of guys. So if you can acquire...

you know, and Antonio Brown for somebody, let's say you look at last year's production, so you offer, you know, Jeremy Macklin and then a running back two or a running back three to pick up an Antonio Brown. Some guys will jump at those opportunities just to get multiple guys. Yeah, another way to say that is, and when we judge trades that are somewhat even, normally the tiebreaker is I like whoever has the best player. Sure. You know, you want the top end talent. And what the caveat of that is,
