Hey, everybody. Happy holidays. Welcome in. Sure the world out there is taking the day off, but we're not. We're actually doing two shows today. Never. Never, never a day off. It is not labor if it's the labor of love. Is that the, that's the same? I still feel like it's a lot of labor here. A lot of labor. We had our League of Record draft last night.
I'm exhausted right now. Look, we love Raising Cains. If you saw our Twitter account, you saw the spread, and there were a lot of jealous folks. I never believe that you can eat too much raising Cains, but we certainly tried. We tested that theory last night. Eight chicken fingers, ladies and gentlemen. You won the contest. That is something like, what, two full orders of like...
You wait for two. It's a don't worry about it, mind your business. I think I had five of the little loaves of bread. Loafs, five loaves. Sounds about right. Oh, we got a lot going on on the show today. Hopefully you are, well, a lot of you are post draft now. And we are getting ready to debut some week one content here this week.
Tonight we have the live show in Phoenix. We're going to be going through bold predictions. Today on the show, we're going to be talking about our Raising Cains Rising Stars. We're going to get into a ton of the news, a lot of cuts, a lot of signings, a lot of different depth chart moves. Talk about Andrew Luck a little bit. And then we're going to go through some good vibes.
bad vibes, division by division, kind of break down just kind of how things are trending right as we come up to the regular season. So it's going to be a really, really good show. I'm excited. And if you want to come to the live show tonight, there's still time, you just go to ballerslive.com or you can come to the Crescent ballroom here in Phoenix. Yeah, just show up at the door. Sure, it's true. So it's going to be a lot of fun. What else is going on, guys? Lots and lots of news, really. I mean, it.
Unless we have anything else important to talk about here, we need to get into these news and these rising stars. Yeah, you can follow us on Twitter at theFF ballers. Follow our community over at join the foot.com. We're on Facebook. We're on iTunes. We're on YouTube. We're everywhere. Let's kick it off with some rising stars. Raising Cains. Rising Stars of the Whig. I just spilled a little bit. Oh, yeah. Right on yourself.
You can go to YouTube.com slash the fantasy footballers to see Andy's mistake. I feel like people probably would like us to muse a little bit on, you see that right there? Oh, yeah. It's an exclamation point. Looks nice, right? To my draft, I think people would want us to kind of wax poetic on our League of Record draft a little bit because everybody on Twitter was just like, oh, show us your team, tell us what you're doing. How do you feel the draft went? The draft, I think, for my team wins.
Pretty much as close to as good as it could have gone. I was in a really bad situation where I had sold my first and second pick to go all in last season. So I said the highlights, or I guess the low light of the draft is I'm in round three of a three keeper league. So round six. I had a dream, man. I had a dream. Martavis, Devante Parker, Michael Crabtree. We're all just.
one tick at a time getting close to my spot. And then I believe like literally the three picks in front of me, all those guys wins. Yeah, I think we all have those moments. There was a period where Brooks, who is my co-owner and myself were sitting there, we just have these three guys and we're four picks away that we really want. And it was, uh, Corey Coleman and John Brown. And, uh, maybe it was that might have been the Carson Palmer time as well. And, uh,
Oh, no, it was smajie. And all of them went. You know, it's one of those things where we're just complaining the lot. Yeah, but I mean, that's fine. Once you come up on the board, you pick the best player. This is where I just say, man, I got Michael Crabtree and Samajie P. Right. Yeah. Yeah. I think the draft went as well as it could have gone for having a bad situation. People don't realize like every year, Andy, you for now like five years, every year you come into this draft.
where you have basically no first or second round and you're in a bad position. We just scratch and claw our way back to the top. I especially enjoyed every time something went south for Mike in the draft, he would be playing the theme from Revenant. So you just hear these swells of depression. And then if a pick went the right way, he had music ready for that too. Yeah, the theme of the night actually kind of turned into back in black. I was not planning it to go that way, but.
You got to let it come to you. Here we are. All right. Hey, Raising Kane's Rising Stars of the Week. I'm just going to keep pushing forward with Ty Montgomery running back for the Green Bay Packers. Somebody that I dreamed could somehow I could trade up and find a way to get him in this draft. I just couldn't do it. He went to my brother-in-law, and I'm telling you, I love Time Montgomery. The difference between Montgomery and Jamal Williams to me is vast, not only in knowledge of the offense, but in pass catching.
what Montgomery looks like he did with his body, getting ready to be a running back, not a wide receiver this year, and being on one of the best offenses in football, I think Ty Montgomery is a sneaky top 10 type of guy if things go the right way. So he is My Raising Kane's rising star of the week this week. My rising star, after all the cuts and signings, has to be Brad Kaya. He was cut from the lions and signed by the Panthers, so now he is their best quarterback. Am I right?
Sorry to troll all you Panthers fans out there. You're so wrong. No, but. No, my, my actual. How dare you disrespect Derek Anderson? Thank you. Thank you, Mike. My actual rising star is going to be the Los Angeles Rams defense. We said this a couple weeks ago, but if Andrew Luck is officially not playing, then Scott Tolzeen is not going to get the job done. Welcome to the Scott Tolzean experience. And, you know, if you, you can draft the Los Angeles Rams.
who have a pretty good defense. I have to take the Rams last night with the intention of basically just leaning into the lack of Andrew Luck. Like I have luck on my roster. You're taking it out. You're taking Andrew Luck's absence out. Yeah. By you're therapeutically playing the Rams. I'm playing the Rams against that offense. Okay. I'll jump in here. Rams defense is great week one. My rising star is Corey Coleman. I love. And really, I mean, I have some good vibes going with just.
the whole entire Brown situation. It's, it's not going to be all roses this year, but they're making moves. We'll talk about Sammy Coates's addition to this offense, but Corey Coleman and to Sean Kaiser, there's going to be growing pains, but I think that this duo can turn into one of the, the better pairings for fantasy football. So I'm very excited for what the future holds for Corey Coleman. You're drafting Coleman ahead of Brit? Like last night, if they were both on the board, would you have taken Coleman ahead of Brit?
I think at this point I would have. I still like Kenny Britt. I think he's safe, but the upside with Coleman now actually exists where I didn't buy into it with Kessler. Yeah, I would definitely take Coleman ahead of Britt because if you look at both those guys, one of them, I think, has a ceiling to show that he is like a top 10 type of player. Kenny Britt could never do that at this point in his career. Yeah, I think almost in any format I would take.
Coleman over Britt at this point because of how late they go and what you want from that bench spot in week one or two. If you were in a really deep league and you needed a safer player, maybe you go Brit. All right, those are the Raising Cains Rising Stars of the Week. Remember game day and hey, draft day. Tates better with Raising Cains. Tailgates full of fresh 24-hour marinated hand battered chicken fingers and fresh, brewed sweet tea. Visit Raising Cains.com to find your nearest location. Let's get into the big old news. News and notes from around the league.
Mike, you want to take that first one? I have an announcement. Be still my heart. It's not breaking news. Otherwise, I would have been going absolutely insane. I've had time to come back to Earth off of my cloud ride. I felt like Goku just zooming through the sky on a cloud. Martavis Bryant is officially back. The concerns are put to rest of spending that draft pick.
on a potentially suspended player. Martavis is going to be incredible this year. All offseason reports are just talking about what he has done. And it was, I saw this quote of someone was asking, you know, a Steelers defensive coach about Martavis Bryant. They're like, oh, what, the guy you can't guard? Martavis Bryant book, it's going to be amazing. Yeah, the vibes in Pittsburgh are very good. Levion Bell also signed his Tinder officially.
His chicken tender is... Jason signed that. Martavis, to go back, I tried to trade up to get him yesterday. We just had a Judge Diamati ruling on a Martavis Bryant ranking. Can we get an appeal? Does it change anything at all, Jason, now that he has...
officially been reinstated the formality. Of course it does. It changes a little bit of the worry. And so he was almost my rising star that I was considering, but Brad Kaya was too good. Yeah, that joke, that joke wasn't very good. I enjoyed it. It does change it. But built into my argument was still the fact that in week three, in week five, in week seven, news could.
could change. I mean, he's got to stick to a regiment of counseling and things like that. You all right there, buddy? I'm losing my voice, but, you know, did he sign another chicken tender? Yeah, I'm just sneaking them off from under the table here. I got a whole tray. You know, I could see things go south midseason. All right. All right. New Orleans, news out of New Orleans. Willie Sneed was suspended three games for violating the substance abuse policy.
You know, things make sense now. We wondered why Willie Sneed was playing in the later preseason, you know, week four, why he hadn't played a lot in the first three games, maybe why Ted Ginn had been getting so much work. Now we know why Willie Sneed missing the first three weeks. This affected not only his draft position to me, but just the long-term prognosis for Willie Sneed.
You don't have those first three weeks. The offense is going to be the offense, so it's not good. Let me ask a question. This one is for a friend. Asking for a friend here. Very nice. The first three weeks with no Willie Sneed, and you know Drew Breeze's past where home road splits and that, would you be worried about opening the season with Drew Breeze as your start of those first three weeks? Week one is. Yeah, give me the opponents. Week one is on the road.
