I'm not saying I want him on my fantasy team. I'm just saying when you're comparing him to what LaGarren has done. Last night in our League of Record draft, the running backs are just depleted because it's a keeper. And, you know, I think I had one pick in the top 40. When Brooks and I were on the clock late in the draft, we only had two running backs. And no running backs are available. And we could have taken Paul Perkins. And we just couldn't do it. It's like he's the last running back that is the starting running back left on a team.

117 passagesWe just went elsewhere because I don't believe that that offensive line is going to be good enough for him to succeed. All right, NFC. West, good vibes. Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson. I'm going to throw Carlos Hyde in there. I'm going to throw Brian Hoyer in there. Yeah. I'm going to throw John Brown in there. Here's the contention on John Brown, and let me make the argument. If John Brown plays, he is so important to that offense, he would be arguably basically when he plays.
I'd put him down as the wide receiver won on that team, on the Bruce Ariens offense. So he played and played well at the end of the preseason. So right now, we expect him to play. Yeah, I would say the vibes are better when he is on the field than when he is off the field. And so in that sense, there are good vibes. Stunning analysis. Well, I'm just saying that's the only difference. The only thing that has been better for him is that he is.
He is back on the field. If you want to say, okay, two for 49 and two touchdowns, that's great. But if you watch the game, he was thrown to only two times. One was in the, you know, backups against backups. It matters. I'm just saying he was not the first read. He was not the second read. On those plays he was. And if you say, that doesn't bother me at all. One one preseason game where you show you're healthy. That's what matters. We say don't watch the stateline. But he plays. He doesn't need to be targeted the whole time. He played last year. He played 15 games, right? Yeah, he played 15 games.
for a great line of 517 yards and two touchdowns. All right, we can disagree on that one. I think you guys are missing the boat on John Brown. I hope. I hope. If he's healthy, he's a top 20 guy. If he's healthy, but that's the, that's the thing we're arguing is he's, he was on the field. He looked healthy in this last game. He was on the field last year, but he was not healthy. Exactly. Just because he's out there does not, A plus B does not equal health. Of course. But it did the last time he got on the field.
Okay. Yeah, we're just going to agree to disagree. Sammy Watkins, bad vibes. Look, he moved from, I guess, a bad situation in Buffalo to a much worse situation.
Los Angeles where you just don't know the target share. You just don't know how much the offense is going to be able to move the ball. So I'd still put him on the nobody kind of wants to draft him even though he's super talented. He's dropped down to the sixth round in ADP. That's probably too low. Yeah, I mean, at that point, in the sixth round, would you go Alan Robinson or Sammy Watkins? I'd go Alan Robinson, only because Bortles is back. I think I would too. And Watkins situation is similar to Hopkins situation, where you know they're super talented players.
But Watkins has the built-in injury risk as well. So you mix an injury with the bad situation. He belongs well below Hopkins to me. NFC the good vibes, bad vibes. Here's the good vibes. Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery, Dalvin Cook, Amir Abdula. Yeah, I don't disagree with any of this list. I mean, there's good vibes, especially, man. Dalvin Cook, I'm very, very excited to see what he can do. I'm going to throw Adam Thielen in there.
Moving into the slot, what I've seen this preseason, and how he ended last year. We've got to remember, he ended last year with this rapport with Sam Bradford that was very impressive. We didn't know how that would translate this year. They've lost some of those wide receiver pieces. I think Thielen is, if he's not the 1A, he's the 1B with Diggs. So that, to me, is a bad vibe for Stefan Diggs. If he's moved out of the slot more often.
Bad vibes for the Bears wide outs in that division and their offense in general outside of Jordan Howard. And then Latavius Murray doesn't seem to, it doesn't seem like he's going to have the carry count that we wanted or hoped for when he was signed. What do you guys think about any other NFC North candidates here? Well, I mean, it's neutral vibes for me on Stefan Diggs. I wouldn't go bad vibes at all. You move him to the outside. Yes, he did play the slot, but.
big plays on the outside. I mean, that's where Adam Thielen was so great last year. That's where he was getting his touchdown. So it's, I would, I'm not moving Stefan Diggs at all. The Bears wide outs. Who, if anyone, are you guys putting the Kindle Wright? The pick on you going Kendall Wright. I'm going Kendall Wright for if I've got to pick one and you put that evil on me, I'll take Kendall Wright. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know.
I don't want any of them. NFC South, good vibes, bad vibes. We'll go with Ted Ginn Jr. Yep. Ted Ginn Jr. should be the two. And Willie Sneed is now suspended, just giving them more time to build rapport with Drew Brees. Yes, certainly. I think Ted Ginn has good vibes. Carolina Panthers, all my jokes of Cam Newton aside, him being back is a good thing. And Christian McCaffrey, I have been the...
doubter when it comes to fantasy football production for where he's drafted on Christian McCaffrey, but you can't say anything but good positive vibes. When you look at what he's done in preseason, when he touches the ball, defenders can't touch him. He's just been amazing. What do you think the carry split ends up being by year's end with McCaffrey and Stewart? By years end, assuming health for both guys, I would go 6040 Stewart. I was going to go 6040, yeah.
Bad vibes Willie Sneed. We know what happened. I put a question mark here with James Winston. There just wasn't. I did because this preseason has not been impressive to me making the same big mistakes, not seeing anything that makes me think this is going to be some outlandish breakout superstar type of offense right now. I'm not putting, look, he wasn't drafted last night in our league of record draft. I haven't seen a lot of positive kind of news. So I'm just.
There's a question mark at the end because I'm asking you guys. It's been up and down. I mean, if you go watch week two of the preseason, that whole offense and James just looked lights out, unbelievable, unstoppable. And then I think that was week two. And then the next game, when he threw that falling away interception, you know, when he was in the red zone. I just, I couldn't believe it. And what the.
What that play did to me was say, okay, he just took about five passing attempts a game away from himself because the coach is not going to trust him. Yeah. I have a couple things I want to mention before we close today's show out. I'm going to throw out one more good vibe. Sure. And this is a tip of the cap, Andy, because you were talking about this guy a couple weeks ago that we have, everyone is including myself. We had just written this guy off. But I've got, I've got some good vibe. I got that, you know, a little bit of that tingling.
Charles Sims is on your waiver wire. I almost guarantee it. And I, this is one of those you want to strike before the week one waiver wire hits. Charles Sims is going to end up being on pretty much everyone's waiver wire week one pickup. Yeah, that is that is not a bad thought at all, especially with them cutting their their rookie pick. Yeah. That makes Charles Sims all the more valuable. And one more that I'll throw out from, I meant to throw out in the NFC North.
Marvin Jones has looked darn good in preseason. Everything is, all the, all the news has been Kenny Gallaudet. I know because I know. Kenny Gallaudet, he's new and he didn't disappoint anybody last year. But I think Marvin Jones has a chance to really be good this year.
