Fantasy Football - Mock Draft Episode + Leader of the Pack - Podcast for 8/6

No, Mike, just do your thing. I have no idea where you're going. I'm not. I'm not thinking about. I know. I don't think you're trying. I think we just agree. The Chuba, Chuba, Chuba is not usually going in front of Jonathan Brooks these days. So, interesting to see how it fell there. Brooks is still on the clock. I don't love it. I'm looking at the running back position because I do need, we're in the seventh here, so I will need to start adding some depth.

Manungai and his is, are we good? Does anyone know if Kyle one guy is good? He is, he is okay. Nothing to worry about. It's August 6th. You got, you got a month. He's already back at practice and he's got a month. That's what I meant. Is it full, full practice? I don't remember what I heard. Rico Dowdle, I think, is a, is a fine pick here. The last thing I read was that it looked like Rico was kind of cementing the RB1 spot. Yeah. Rico Dowdell?

Yeah. I've seen that one go back and forward. I've seen it both ways. I still haven't moved my rankings that way just based on that one report. But I could see it. Jason wants me to draft Rico Dowdell. I've got three running back. So that would be great. I was not saying that for that. I was genuinely just reporting the news. Boy who cried wolf over here. Yeah. I'm actually, it's early. But.

feeling like what's what's going to happen on this turn. I might not get him. So I'm just going to take, hold on, I got to find the thing. Dickory Kroski Merritt. I, I'm, it's getting sweatier, guys. Yeah, you like him. I'm getting sweatier for what's going on with Bill. And I don't, I don't necessarily like it about myself. Yeah, I mean, Diggs helps the offense, helps the commanders entirely. And going with Jaden.

We'll see if that works out. This was good for me. I really needed a wide receiver, and I feel like there's one left that I like here. I like late wide receivers, but I'm going to take Mackay Lemon. I took the old guy last round of Mike Evans, take the young guy this time. He was the next name across all positions up on my board. It's a good pick. It is interesting. You'll have, you've got Lamb and Evans, and then you're going the Youngster and Lemon. Mason, Pittman, Lepora. Devastating, Jason. Great pick by Cash there with John then Brooks at the 801. Sutton, Rashad White.

And Jason pulling the trigger immediately on DAC Prescott. I've been waiting. I was wondering if Betts, who has George Pickens, would take that stack earlier. He didn't. And if, and. So that's DAC over Dart. That's DAC over Lawrence. Jack over Caleb. It's entirely with the stack. I wanted the CD Lamb DAC stack. Yeah. That makes sense. I pulled an ADP rope a dope. I let Rico go through.

because I thought Bill would get drafted. Rico made it back, so I'm going to take him as my RB4 here. All right, Rico Dato goes at the 805, Jackson Dart at 806, DKMECF at 807, and unsurprisingly, or maybe surprisingly, Kyle Pitts at 808, which I think is a great deal. Gets him about two rounds later than Fanon. I told you I believe in Kyle Pitts. I wasn't lying. I'm not proud of it.

Kyle Monongai, Blake Corum. I wanted Corum at 812 or 901 here. Josh Downs off the board. Now I have to really do some thinking here. I'm going to take a wide receiver that I'll be out there every single down on an offense I'm kind of optimistic about. I'm going to take Quentin Johnston. Yeah. And then I'm going to take a shot. Now, I need to pick a rookie. I want to pick a rookie wide receiver here. Concepcion. Yeah. Stribling. I'm going to take a shot on Stribling.

The substation may be resistant to youth. I'm not sure yet. I'm going to take stribling as a shoot a shot. I mean, it's not because he was already banged up. But, yeah, Pierceall is not. He's not young anymore. Yeah, but he's been hurt since he got. He has. Tony Pollard, Kenny Gainwell, Zach Charbonnet in the ninth round here as we get close to the end of the draft. Al Borland on the clock with, he's got a good set of running backs on this roster. Just took Kyle Pitts.

and I really can't decide what to do here. I gave him time. Yeah, you did. Sorry, I was looking for a guy he's gone on. You're now, you're now, you're now officially the slowest. Just do it verbally. You're officially the slowest person. I'm definitely faster than all three of you. We're talking, we're spot. We're doing a show. Everybody else, you get to noodle on all your picks. But nobody else in the draft does. Everybody else takes their picks. Jaden Reed goes next. George Kittle.

Aaron Jones and Mike, you're on the clock. George Kittle would have. That would have been my pick for sure. I think I'm set here at the running back position. I feel good about those, that four pack. I need a tight end in these last three picks. Wish it was George Kittle. Man, have you guys, I don't think I'm going to take it, but I think it's worth the conversation. Have you guys been?

reading the latest on Boston. Yeah. I was going to say David Boston, but Denzel Boston. He's been dominated according to reports. People are saying he might be the one. I think that's probably hyperbolic. I mean, but that's... Why wouldn't he be? Well, Concepcion was drafted. I don't care about that. I thought you were talking about Judy. Oh, no. There's room for anybody to be the one on that team, and they certainly aren't going to... I mean, we saw this in Green Bay years ago.

The higher drafted wide receiver wasn't the one that established himself there. I mean, best man for the job. All right. I'm taking, I still think that Chris Godwin has a little bit again, man. It's a good job. I like the pick. I think he has something left in the tank. And I like a Buka, but I don't think it's crazy to say that at the end of the year, Chris Godwin has the most targets for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I agree. And some of the reports on him have been.

glowing on his health and explosiveness. Second year off of an injury, which multiple injuries that he gets throughout his career? Yeah, I'm going to pull the trigger on Matthew Golden here. Obviously, we talked about him earlier in the leader of the pack segment. I think at cost, he is a value. He's got the opportunity to be an every down starter for a good offense. Just please be good. I don't think you are, but just do it. Surprise me. Well, um...

The other two are off the board, right, Reed? No, I think Reed was still there. No, he wasn't. Okay. Lynn at 905. Caleb Williams, Justin Herbert, Romeo Dobbs, Jacobi Myers, Chris Rodriguez. That was, I was trying to sneak Chris Rodriguez on on my team. Tank Dell at 1003. Jason back on the clock. Mike following Jason. All right. Wow, Tankdale going ahead of Jaden Higgins. I love Tankdell, but Jaden Higgins has also been doing some good things. I'm going to take Jonah Coleman, a player. I love.

He's currently... That's an interesting pick. He's currently third on the depth chart. Obviously, you've got... I'm not sure he's worth a pick. You might not think so, but I believe that Jonah Coleman is an excellent player. Everything that has been said recently about him is that he's basically like a veteran. He doesn't seem like a rookie at all. I don't believe in R.J. Harvey, and J.K. Dobbins gets injured. Batman? I don't believe. I believe in Harvey. Oh. Come on. Keep up, baby.

ADP has obviously not caught up here, but I'm going to take the ultimate late round sneaky stack here to go with Jane Daniels. I will take Stefan Diggs. He will not go here in drafts, I don't think. But also at the same time, his ADP won't get out of control. He's coming off a thousand yards. We have Stefan Diggs off the board to Mike. Jordan Addison goes next, and now we're waiting on Josh. Casey Concepcion. We're good.

Off the board. Travis Hunter goes next. Jaden Higgins in the 10th round back behind Tankdale, Trevor Lawrence and Denzel Boston. I did want Diggs. I'm going to take a shot on Jacoby Lane right now in Baltimore. So hot right now. And so I've just been going wide receivers pretty much through and through. I'm going to take Debo Samuel as well with my final pick. Man, you run low tee. I mean, when you have Gibbs, Jacobs, and Irving, I feel pretty good. All right.

You know, my options at running back, I could have gone Camara or Tracy or Woody Marks. Yeah, I'm happy with my choice. That's fair. Dallas Goddard. I love the pick, Kyle. Great last round, tight end option. Brock Purdy goes next. Tyler Shuck in the final round here. Camara and Marks and Hearst. Oh, yeah. Thank you. I'm on the board. Thank you, Kurt. Ted Hurst goes in the 11th, probably just for that. And Mike and Jason, final pick. Mike, you have to take a tight end. I'll stand up and shout.

Dalton Cicade. That is a great last pick at tight end. I'm looking for... That's over likely? That's over... It is. I'm fine taking Travis Kelsey here, like I've said, is the floor play. If you want a top 10 tight end, I think Travis Kelsey fits the bill for that. But I'm trying to do a little bit better than that. So here, I'm just swinging for the fences on a young wide receiver. There's plenty of guys on the waiver wire I can get that could go out and get me eight points.

I'm hoping that what we've seen from Zachariah Branch, rookie wide receiver for the Falcons, he's been making plays, and the opportunity is there. I mean, part of why you like Kyle Pitts and you're embarrassed about it is because there's really a big void for targets after Drake London. All right, that is going to round out our mock draft. Gibbs, Jacobs and Irving at running back. Josh Allen's my quarterback. Harold Fennon's my tight in. I feel like I got some good onesies there. Adams, Harrison, Quentin Johnson, Stribling Lane, and Samuel at wide receiver. I kind of like that. I like the, it feels kind of hero RB, even though that's not what the strategy is, just shotgunning wide receivers later. I started with Dak Prescott to stack with C.D. Lamb, my onesies, Dak and Tyler Warren. Wide receiver, Cedie Lamb, Mike Evans, Mackay Lemon.

Matthew Golden and Zachariah Branch. At running back, I got the young guys, Ashen Ginty, Cam Skadaboo, Quinshon Judkins, and Jonah Coleman. At running back, I got CMC, Ken Bone Walker, Bill Krosky, Merritt, Enrico Dowdell. My wide receivers are Malik neighbors, Devante Smith, Jameson Williams, Chris Godwin, Stefan Diggs. Then I got Jane Daniels to go with Stefan Diggs, and Dalton Kincade is my tight end. Yeah, you got a good deal on Daniels in the draft and getting Diggs late as well. A good steal there.
