The average draft position of Sonny Michelle is 52 overall. This or that, Jason. Who would you rather have for your roster? Sonny Michelle or Dionne Lewis? I'm going to take the vacated Dionne Lewis role that Sony Michelle is entering into. I think Sony Michelle...

He has, there's question marks I feel for both of these players. I'm more scared of Dionne Lewis's injuries than I am of Sony Michelle's fumbles. But I just can't believe that the Patriots such a smart team would spin up a first round pick unless prior to selecting that player, they had a roll carved out for him and said, our team.

With this player in this role, this is what our team needs for 2018, we're willing to give that first round draft pick on Sony Michelle. He wasn't my favorite in college film, but I know a lot of people. Mike's favorite, yeah. Outside of Sequin. I would take Sonya Michelle, who I believe is going to have every opportunity to be the first down, the second down, and could be a third down back for New England versus Dionne Lewis, his injury history.

who is more of the, you know, I don't think he's going to take over for Derek Henry. Yeah, if Derek Henry went down, as in not available, Dionne Lewis would be a top 12, top 10 guy. Top 10 guy, for sure. I technically have Dionne Lewis at 20 in my rankings.

Sonny Michelle at 22. But I see the range of outcomes between these players to be far different. And so for me, this would be a decision I would make based on what I'm hoping for from the player. I think Dionne Lewis will very comfortably fit your RB2 spot. And I don't think that the week-to-week changes from Dionne Lewis. You know, Dionne Lewis is going to be on the field, whether they're ahead, whether they're behind. He was assigned to play.

He's not going to be used around the goal line probably like Derek Henry, but he's a comfortable RB2. Sony Michelle is probably who I draft nine times out of ten between the two, despite the fact that I have one projected for slightly higher points on the year. But you wouldn't be as comfortable with Michelle as your second running back. Is that what I'm hearing? Because consistency? Yeah, I would depend a little on the rest of my roster. I would think that there are various outcomes from Michelle. He could be what you said. First second down, get in there on third down.

They could also fall in love with Rex Burkhead. Burkhead could stay healthy. Burkhead could take more carries than we expect or believe. We've seen the backfield in New England. Sonny Michelle can fumble. Put himself in the doghouse. Really bad split backfield. James White's still going to get time on the field. So potential, I think Sonny Michelle's potential is all the way from a low-end RB1 to a not excited to start RB3. Sure.

So I think I would- And you always have to deal with the Patriots conundrum of he gets 20 carries in week one and week two, you come out and he gets five carries. And I love the big play potential of Sonny Michelle, but it would, yeah, I think nine times out of 10, I would take him because I want the back end RB1 potential versus Dionne Lewis. But that 10th time is going to mean that I took Sony Michelle and you took Dionne Lewis. Yeah.

All right. Yeah. All right. Let's move on this or that. By the way, Jay Gris, he went with. Jordan Howard. Yeah, it wasn't an option. Stefan Diggs versus Josh Gordon. Oh, this is a good one. Yeah, it's an interesting one, too. I mean, both players will not have the same quarterback throwing them the ball that they did last season. The Sean Kaiser is gone. That's true. You have one of these players will not have the same quarterback throwing them the ball.

all season this year. That could be true, too. You're talking about Josh Gordon. I am talking about Josh. And the likelihood of a Tyrod Taylor, Baker, Mayfield, uh, quarterback change at some point. Yes. Um, right now their average draft position is back to back. I love it because one of these guys I am happy to have on my team and one of these guys I'm scared to have on my team. 39 and 40 overall. I've got Josh Gordon five spots ahead. You've got Stefan Diggs six spots ahead. Why do you like Diggs?

Yeah, I have Stefan Diggs, I think, far higher than that, probably 13. Oh, sorry, that was the consensus. Yeah, that is our consensus. I've got Diggs at 14 and Josh Gordon at 33. Wow. Yeah, so obviously we're on different sides. Why do you hate Josh Gordon? The reason I... Is that more of the question than why do you love Stefan Diggs? That is. That is actually, I think, more accurate because both...

players are extremely talented. The range of outcomes for Josh Gordon, we've already seen him finish as the wide receiver one. And I believe when he did that was only in a 14-game season. He's a beast. He's a stud. I think he pairs up with Tyrod Taylor pretty well. And, you know, Baker Mayfield coming in as the number one pick, a lot of people's favorite college quarterback in a while, super highly accurate guy.

But to me, there are too many question marks with the Browns. Okay, so Baker comes in, which he will. I know you still are on the belief in Hugh Jackson that maybe Tyrod will actually start the season. But I believe Baker will come in. And when he does, his accuracy, I think it benefits Jarvis Landry more than Josh Gordon. But you don't even know, even with Tyrod there. With Jarvis Landry, with Duke Johnson, with Corey Coleman, with...

Josh Gordon, when Josh Gordon did it all and was a superstar fantasy option, he was it. There was no one else worth even thinking about throwing the ball too, similar to what we saw from the dumpster fire two years ago in Cleveland when he wasn't a dumpster fire to Rell Pryor. So to me, Josh Gordon's not going to get the target volume to be a stud. And I, you know, Stefan Diggs.

When he's been healthy, he's been a very valuable player. I would rather have the consistency, even though I think the ceiling, if all you're saying is which player can finish higher, it's probably Gordon. Okay. All right. I'd love to get Brooks to weigh in on these as well. So Brooks, prepare yourself an answer. Put that judge robe on. I'm not sure I understand the logic behind discounting Gordon because of Baker.

I feel like the strongest, most compelling argument against Josh Gordon is that Tyrod Taylor throws for 3,000 yards instead of 4,000 or 5,000. And you want Tyrodot in there if you want to discount Josh Gordon. Because if you put a player that doesn't run the ball, I mean, Baker Mayfield's not going to run like Tyrod Taylor does when the pocket breaks down. He's going to be trying to stay in there and make the throw. I feel like that only benefits a guy like Josh Gordon. And Gordon last year, 18 point something per catch, it doesn't take target volume.

It takes, you know, could be a 60, 70 reception season. I still think he could outperform digs. And then you don't have, I mean, you've got different question marks. Obviously, the Browns are the problem there. My argument? I'd go with Gordon. Yeah, my argument there with the Tyrod Taylor, yeah, he might only throw for 3,000 yards. But we saw it when he had Sammy Watkins. His scramble around by time and launch the ball down field does not lean itself towards Jarvis, Landry. That's a.

Yeah, so the real truth is I'm going to take whichever one is not drafted because if both these guys are still on the board and, you know, most teams have quarterbacks, I'm just going to keep waiting because I love both guys.

That being said, if, you know, I'm in the last round and nobody took either of these guys and I get my pickings, I'm going to take Big Ben. And that is a change for me over the last few years because Big Ben, he doesn't historically finish as a top end quarterback at the end of the year. He's very volatile when it comes to home road splits, although that wasn't the case last year.

But here's the reason. So first of all, I mean, whenever you get to start the year against Browns, sorry Browns, it's usually good for your offense. But we saw a massive change happen with the Steelers last year, namely with their defense and with some of the battles with their offensive coordinator, who is now gone. Their quarterback coach stepped into that role, and it was all basically to function as we want to get the passing game.
