Andy Mike and Jason, the fantasy footballers, back with you. Fresh off a spectacular NFL draft. Delicious. It was a delicious sports weekend. We had the NFL draft the entire weekend. We had parts three and four of the last dance documentary. Look, this is in a world where I am, I have no sports whatsoever. I just mainlined.

everything I could possibly get. I was up at 8.30 or what was it at 9 a.m. watching rounds 4 through 7. Just like just give it all to me, man. I need it. I need it, baby. Come on. Come on. You're giving me an idea now, Mike. I don't understand you. Uh-oh. Oh, it's not what I think you talked the other day about the fact that there's just nothing on, that people are just talking about nothing.

Yes. You know, on the sports channels, they're just, they're just arguing to argue. We should just, we should have just reset 90s basketball and just played the games. Play them live on the air as though they're happening. I don't remember what happened in any of those games. That'd be fun. I honestly think people have been doing that. Like, they're just throwing random errors of sports on and they're watching because they don't, I don't remember. We, we're going, we're starting to stack guys out. And.

Arizona just happens to be the first team and I'm going. I'm looking. All right. Recap. What happened last? Michael Crabtree. What was he doing? Kind welcome. Jason, how are you doing today? I'm doing great, man. I am so in statting mode, in research mode, in just like I'm, I'm to to to to toes are in the water.

The toes are in the water. I'm not here in the sense that we are. Toes and water is not a phrase that describes like all in. You're, it's the opposite. One toe out of the water. I got my toes are out of the water. I'm underneath. I'm drowning. But look, this out.

This is one of my favorite times of the year. Like we've got our rookie drafts going on in our dynasty leagues. We have already gotten our dynasty rankings, our rookie rankings for the ultimate draft kit. Those are live now. And I am, I am so in the mode of research. I'm toes out, bro. I'm toes out. I'm toes out. He's toes out. Oh, man. No, I get it. We're in the midst of, uh, we're able to now stat out each team. The draft has happened.

We know the depth chart. Lots of surprises from the draft. Lots of winners. Lots of losers. Lots of dynasty teams that are happy. Lots of dynasty owners that are sad with what took place. What was the biggest surprise from the NFL draft for each of you player-wise? For everyone, you mean? I don't know how anybody has an answer outside of Jordan Love being traded up for by the Packers.

Well, if you won, you could just say the Green Bay Packers draft. Sure. You could package that thing together, but the, the main event of that was Jordan Love, yeah. Yeah, I mean, you know, when you're a game away from the Super Bowl and you're right there and you've got Aaron Rogers a 13 win team, what you want to do is you want to get players for three years in the future. You want to make sure that you don't add anyone that's going to play right now.

or help the team now because you're kind of in a little bit of a rebuild here is what it seems like. That's why I actually, I don't know, I know you guys are working on the ultimate draft kit for this year, but I'm starting to stat out for 2024. Oh, I'm not actually, Jordan Love in there? Yeah, I'm just statting out. I want to be way ahead of the game. Like the Packers. It was absolutely wild that the Packers, not only did they decide they needed to spend their first round pick on a quarterback, they needed to also.

light their fourth round pick on fire at the exact same time to pass a bunch of teams that certainly had no interest in Jordan Love. I guess the paranoia that perhaps somebody else had the same idea to go in, which to be fair, I get it. It's not the first time we've seen teams kind of sneak back into the end of the first round for a quarterback because then you get that fifth year option. It is just, I read that they were baffling.

that they were true to their board. And when I heard that, when that was the quote, I said, but wait, you trade it up. Like, is it being true to your board just drafting who's on your board at the time you're there? Yes, 100%. That is not being true to your board unless maybe Jordan Love was number one on their board.

Like, you know, he should have been the first picking at this point. You got to go get him. But, yeah, that did not make any sense to me. I mean, in the deepest wide receiver draft in modern NFL history, rivaling the 2014 draft, the Green Bay Packers, who seemingly are desperate for another wide receiver said, eh, we're good here. We're not taking one. I mean, how much do they love funches?

They've got their watching two on lockdown. Yeah. I will say that the Jalen Hertz draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, that one while surprising, makes total sense top to bottom, in my opinion. I mean, this is a team that struggled with Carson went staying upright. He was given the big extension, but backup quarterback on the Eagles.

is a pretty important position. It has been in the last couple years, yeah. And Hertz is not, you know, he's a player that you can utilize in other capacities, be creative with him. A lot of people have compared him to a guy we'll talk about in news, Taysam Hill, where you may be able to create some packages for him, depending on what you want to do with your quarterback depth chart on game day. At least I could kind of understand some of the logic there.

You don't have to go out and pay a bunch of money for a backup quarterback for the next handful of years with Wins. So that was a surprising pick. It's always interesting to see where these top quarterback options go when it's not somebody drafting them to start right away. C.D. Lamb, it was a bit of a surprise. Yeah. It was excellent. And what's funny, honestly, so we're as fantasy people as we're watching the NFL draft, you know, like we're projecting every team is going to take.

a skill position player because that's just what we want to have happen. But there was this weird feeling as soon as they put Jerry up, like his video was up where he's broadcasting from the yacht and it was like the Eagles, all the chatter like online, all the chatter with my Eagles buddies are like, holy crap, move up. The wide receivers are falling. We have to go and get it. CD Lamb is available. As soon as Jerry Jones face was on that television, it was

This dude's going to take C.D. Lamb. He doesn't even need him, and he's going to do it to stick it to the Philadelphia Eagles as a reminder of, hey, guys, maybe we're trading up right past us so you could grab Dallas Goddard when we needed a tight end. We don't need C.D. Lamb, but you can't have him.

It was awesome. It was amazing. But it sucks for fantasy. It really does because, you know, it hurts. We're all big fans of Michael Gallup, his potential. Obviously, Amari Cooper being a super highly drafted guy. And now you go to a team where it's like he's presumably the third best option is rookie year. And so, yeah, the wide receivers and their landing spots, I think in this NFL draft were really.

negative for fantasy. There was no like... At least for right away, it feels like... Yeah, the main guys. I mean, Rager had a good landing spot, but, you know, I felt like at least with Jerry Judy and C.D. Lamb, I was disappointed. On running backs, on the other hand, I think there were several excellent, you know, they got a big boost after the draft. We're going to go through the AFC teams and identify winners and losers on today's show. Jason is the big winner of our draft bet. Oh, give me... He ended up getting...

Uh, three picks correct. Made him the winner. Mike and I now have to buy him a mail order box of meat. Mm, make it special. Buy him to Omaha. And you've already like within minutes of knowing you won, you were starting to tell us what you prefer in the box. So we'll get it. Yeah. We'll get it sorted out, which I think was a lot of fillets and. That's right. Filets and caramel apple tartlets. Yes. He just, just both equal proportions and.

Did you just drink out of an entire pitcher? Oh, yeah. This is my... This is my... That's a very large cup, Jason. This is my brusky mug from... What's that night to the round table? The medieval times. This guy tells out about everything. Water. Got stay hydrated. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league.

All right, the Saints have rewarded Taysom Hill, a two-year $21 million contract. Good for Taysom Hill, $16 million guaranteed. That's so crazy. The Saints also signed James Winston to a one-year deal, allowing them to have some more innovative Taysam Hill usage this year, potentially. It is, to me, such a brilliant signing to bring.

James Winston on board for both parties. James Winston gets his foot in the door to be the replacement of Drew Breeze should things work out well for him. And likewise, the Saints have a legitimate option to see in practice week in and week out work with groom him up to be a replacement. I think we all expect this to be Drew Breeze's last season. Let's say it doesn't happen. And James Winston goes out and signed somewhere next year.

You get a nice compensatory pick because he's a quarterback. The money's going to be there. So no matter what the future is, this is a great signing. And it's a quality backup now that you lost Teddy. I just thought this was brilliant from the Saints and from Winston's side as well. It's brutal for Dynasty. I was talking to Jason earlier because I have James on my Dynasty squad. And I can't drop him.

James Winston simultaneously holds absolutely no value and tremendous value at the exact same time, which means I just have to keep them on my bench there. And so it's kind of obnoxious for that. Could you imagine Michael Thomas's future when they still keep having to come back from all the interceptions? Yes. All right. I don't have a mediocre trade.

of the week, but the Eagles have acquired wide receiver Marquis Goodwin from the 49ers. This was a transaction one of two that the 49ers made to kind of get rid of players that still have value, but they don't want anymore at all. And that includes the dolphins acquiring Matt Breedah from the 49ers in exchange for the number 153 overall pick. So Goodwin, Breedah, gone from the 49ers.
