The show names Sweet Pickkins as the current 472-point Megalobowl leader, while an undefeated host with nearly 400 points discovers that he is only 1,020th overall.
Jason mutes his own microphone to sneeze, but the microphones flanking him capture a stereo mix; Al wants it removed until the hosts decide car listeners should feel it hit them in the face.
A genealogy tangent abruptly invents Orange Holloway, a pioneering Texas sausage maker, as the grandfather of a Chargers tight end.
The trade episode repeatedly spills into the League of Record: AJ Brown becomes part of an unlabeled negotiation, the hosts describe an acceptance trap, and a one-for-one Marvin Harrison offer is actually sent to Mike during the show.
During an impassioned Ashton Jeanty defense, another host says the advocate has found 'your Ken Walker,' and everyone immediately recognizes the comparison.
During the Jeanty argument, Brooks posts the exact point gap between Javonte Williams and Jeanty for the hosts to use on air.
The hosts track the current Megalobowl leader, then reveal how hard the giant field is when an undefeated team still ranks 1,020th. Jason attempts to mute a sneeze, but the two neighboring microphones capture it in stereo; Al reportedly wants to remove it until the hosts decide listeners should feel it hit them in the face. The show invents pioneering Texas sausage maker Orange Holloway, conducts and threatens real League of Record trades on air, and uses 'your Ken Walker' as a recognizable comparison for a new player fixation.

All right, we have uh another edition of backup options. We just had all of the waiverwire uh you know, all the Waverwire players were just picked up in all of our leagues. This morning, right before we started the show, we always remind you
after waiverwires go through, we like to say, drop it like it's hot. take a look at your waiverss and who was let go and maybe you can pick up a a steal of somebody that got frustrated and shouldn't have dropped somebody. So, most dropped players right now on Sleeper over the last 24 hours. Russell Wilson, I don't care. Jake Browning, don't care that much. Dak is >> is somebody you could stash if you if you needed to. >> I think so. Yeah. >> The the next four weeks, >> Green Bay, >> tough matchup, but without Cidi, you're not going to play him anyways.
>> Yeah. in New York. >> Yeah. Jets, Carolina, Washington, the next three. There's a chance. I mean, with the I'm not currently up to date like what the by-week situation is for over those, you know, not this week, but then the next three, but you will need quarterback options and then and I would stash Dak. If he were on our waiverss, I would have I would have stashed him immediately. Top six drops right now at running back. You tell me if you want him on your team. Dylan Samson. >> Nope. >> Naji. Uh, not possible. >> Why did I read that name? I'm not sure.
Yeah, I don't know. >> I wouldn't pick him up. >> Raandre. >> Yes, definitely. >> Uh, he I would pick him up >> without a doubt. Yeah, >> I would pick him up with so so many doubts. >> Tank Bsby. Yeah, you don't need him. Kyle Manongi. >> I I'd stash Manongi. >> And then Jaden Blue probably. No, >> probably doesn't matter. >> He's too far removed. >> Not at I mean, if if Javvante went down, then you might pick up Jaden Blue, but the starter would be Miles Sanders. >> Romeo Dobs, who could bounce back. >> I would not drop Dobs.
>> People did. They already did. Uh Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims after a disappointing week. >> I'd rather have Franklin. >> Yeah, I'd get Franklin immediately. >> Jaden Higgins, there's there's not really a path. >> There just isn't. I mean, now you got Christian Kirk. >> Yeah, he came in way ahead of him. I mean like Higgins >> and they can't they they're horrible offense. >> Higgins had his chance to try and steal that starting job but he did not take it. >> Yeah, they they cannot pass the football. >> No, there >> CJ Stout is a whole discussion. >> He is Did you see I shared it in our
Slack the uh the Anthony Richardson v CJ Strad numbers over the past 15 games or whatever it was. >> I don't remember what that was. This is good. Mike, you got to bring >> all Let me give me Okay, I got it. Okay. >> Richardson probably hasn't played 15. >> This was in 15 career starts for Anthony Rich. He did play 15. >> This was a tweet from John Davis uh from Colts Report. Anthony Richardson in 15 career starts. Now, it's it's of course very dumbed down, but 8-7 record. So, winning record. 21 total touchdowns, 13 interceptions. CJ Strad in his last 15
starts, 6 and N 15 total touchdowns, 12 interceptions. He's not he's actually not playing good football. >> No, he is not. >> And we've done all of the blaming of other things so far, like the offensive line, the fact that Tank Dell and Stefan Diggs went out and you know, like he has he's got weapons now. >> Yep. I So, I went back yesterday and I I watched every snap from Straoud, every passing snap from Straoud I should say, because I wanted to know for Dynasty uh on the Dynasty podcast, how did he look? Cuz he's been terrible. He's been
objectively bad and I feel like he doesn't have weapons. He had Nico out there who had a had a drop or two, had a bomb touchdown. Straoud to me looked like he is still good, but he doesn't run the ball. His offensive line is is many pieces away from being they are tremendously bad. And outside of Nico, there just felt like there was no running game. No running back to dump the ball off to. >> How fast did Daltton Schultz look? Daltton Schultz was like a locomotive getting started. >> Started rolling and then caught the ball and then >> tackled confirmed.
>> They are They're not using motion. They're not using play action. It's bad offense. >> They don't have a running game. >> You could still play action. It still works. >> But but I mean it would help if they if if Joe Mixon was there, this would be a better offense by a lot. >> Yeah. >> Travis Hunter frequently dropped. Maybe he's somebody you could pick up and stash. Uh [sighs] yeah, I said I think I said yesterday that he is so close to being dropped, but I wouldn't drop him just yet. I think the fact he had six or more
targets the first two weeks, you you could hold him and wait and see. Evan Ingram, Harold Fannon, don't I mean Harold Fannon is a >> I'm not dropping Fannon. >> They played Green Bay and he had a big play called back on a penalty. So, uh there you go. Let let's look at some other backup options that we think are beyond what got picked up on waiverss that might be worth a stash. >> All right, I will jump in because mine is for we got our friends and our listeners who running in deep leagues. So, this is a deep league pickup, but is
something that I think should be paid attention to. The Kansas City Chiefs running backs have been bad, objectively bad. And will that improve? That is TBD. In the meantime, if you're in a deep league, Brashard Smith is a name you need to pay attention to. Bless you, Jason. You okay over [laughter] there? >> I was muted, but it was >> I'm not muted. And [laughter] >> Bashard Smith, he's it was >> he's a seventh round pick, so the the odds are already low, >> but the situ, you know, the situation with Pacheco, he's running the wrong direction on plays causing fumbles.
Kareem Hunt is so past his prime. I'm just saying we it wouldn't surprise me if at some point they just say we got we got to try somebody else. I actually I actually completely agree with this because they >> oh got you with the deep stash. Nice. >> Well, I I think I I was thinking about it during the game when I saw Bashad Smith out there briefly and I was like >> he has juice. >> I was like this team is not they're not going to be patient with like a completely unproductive running game. >> There's a reason Pacheco ever got snaps,
>> right? There's a reason that we've seen different lower tier running backs get opportunities. Derrick McKinnon had a resurgence of his career in Kansas City. Like Taekquin Thornton is another example. Like whether it's Bashard Smith or literally another back off of the waiverwire, they're going to run out of patience if they keep losing ball games and cannot have a productive running game in any capacity. We've seen like Clyde Edwards Aair had first round draft pedigree and he got I think two years or so because of that draft capital and then they were like hey Pacheco you have juice show us what you can do.
>> So um just kind of going back to the sneeze. [laughter] Um Jason muted your you muted your muted mic but it was a very voluous sneeze. It was like pretty loud. And we're flanking you right on both sides. And so apparently we got like a really good stereo mix of the sneeze. Is that right? >> Must sound really good in a car. >> And so like Al's like, "Oh gosh, why are you talking about this?" Cuz I was going to totally get that sneeze wiped out of the the recording. >> Nah. >> But now who doesn't want a stereo
sneeze? >> I want I want people in their cars to feel like it hit him in the face. [laughter] >> It felt my It was my brain. >> That was a pretty like quick draw. Bless you, too. You're like, I got to stop this sneeze with the to bless you. >> I feel like now you should just unmute my mic. Let it let it go [laughter] through. >> Oh, yeah. That's on the >> You can do that in post. >> Oh, man. Um Aronda Gadson. >> Yeah. >> Who is the the second? He is the second. His his dad was a tight end. And
>> I mean, we're bringing you some nasty boys. >> This is a tight end for the Chargers. >> His dad played in six NFL seasons primarily for the Dolphins. >> Yeah. He had a nice one-handed uh catch. Did you see that one? >> Yes. Do you know who his dad is? Uh, who Oronda Gadson's dad's dad is? >> His also known as his grandfather. Yes. Pioneering Texas sausage maker, Orange Holloway. >> Okay. Now you know. >> Okay. So you you've >> I thought we were going to get like a three layers of football. This is a sausage maker. >> Orange is
>> So they went from my orange. >> Orange. >> They went from Holloway to Gadson. >> That's right. They're like so bad. >> We've got to go to Gadson. Holloway is associated with the sausage making. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you for that fact. >> Please return to sneezing now. [laughter] >> Um but he was a fifth round pick. He had a nice debut in place of Will Dizzley for the Chargers. If Dizzley was to miss more time, seven targets, five for 46, athletic. Um we've actually only had like three tight ends in the last 15, 20 years that are day three tight ends that
have caught five or more passes in their first game. He's got the pedigree. So pay attention. We're like, we're giving you the deep stashes in this backup options. >> And mine is not that deep of a stash, but it's someone who was cut in a lot of leagues. I personally had him, played him two weeks ago. Zack Herz cut him this last week for Mark Andrews [clears throat] because I needed those points. >> And you are the Mark Andrew whisperer. >> Yeah. And um it, you know, it was going to be Marcus Mariota. And now you need to pick Zacherz back up. He's a very
good play. He was the tight end too before this last week. if um you know if he's got his starting quarterback you're you're pro probably without Terry McLaren almost certainly right now. >> Sure. >> So this is a very used necessary weapon that has been good is looked at at the goal line and he was he's on the majority of waiverss. So Zack Z if you are tight end needy uh I think a very good pickup and honestly without Mclloren now I'm willing to play him with Mariota. Um but if Jaden Daniels comes back it's even better. All right, we gave you three names and that was

[music] >> Very, very petite news section today. >> Yeah, we don't have a lot, but we do have some important news. Wide receiver news. I mean, let's start with Tara McLaren. Doesn't sound great. um seeking additional opinions. I I can tell you this in my life when I get the opinion from someone that I want. >> You don't. >> That's where I stop. That's what I was going to ask. >> I stopped there. I do not seek
additional opinions. If I walk in >> Has anyone ever has anyone ever gone to a doctor, got great news, and then been like, >> I need I need more. >> No, the second opinion is never like maybe it's worse. Like Jason, I walk in the room, I go, do I look nice? You go, yeah. I'm not looking for other opinions. >> Right. You tell me I don't look that good, I'm going to find some other some other people. Tara McLaren getting additional opinions on his injured quad. The concern that I'm seeing is that they're not 100% sure it's quad versus
core muscle. >> I did see that >> which was really weird to me. I saw that and it's like, oh, this could be a core muscle. But isn't that like isn't your core like above your hips? How can you confuse that? >> I always thought your core went your core is like >> just under the nips and then it goes down to like a little like mid thigh. It's your core. >> It it must hips if you can't >> a little bit below the hips is what I'm saying. >> All right. Okay. Well, below the hips makes sense then. >> Um anyways,
>> not a doctor. >> He's getting additional opinions on the quad. He could miss his >> Carrie. Give me a call. >> I'll give I'll give him an opinion. I don't think his real issue is where his core is. >> Oh, >> I think he just wants to know what the injury is. Um, but you never know. >> Chiefs are optimistic Xavier Worthy will be able to play a limited role in the offense while wearing a small harness. >> It's just not the best sentence for confidence for fantasies. >> No, we we had talked about like when when Worthy comes back, he's so needed
right now. You mean you just watch these Chiefs and and see Patrick Mahomes running cuz he doesn't have someone to throw the ball to and you want to plug Worthy right in. This is actually a really good report because it's going to stop people from doing that. It's going to stop people from the first week he's back throwing him in a lineup thinking maybe you can get something deep, maybe you can get a bunch of little dingaduck screens and PPR leagues like he's not going to get enough work his first game back if if it's soon. >> Falcons head coach. This is now this is
