like your championship roster and include a sauce worth drafting. Find Primal Kitchen Buffalo sauce at grocery stores nationwide or on primalcitchen.com. To the Fantasy Footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. What is going on, people? It is Thursday, May 14th, and we are the fantasy footballers, and we're back again. Hey! How's it going, guys?

1:55 ↗

It's going pretty fantastical. This is, uh, wow. Andy Holloway joined with Jason Moore. This is where you say, Hey, I'm Jason. Hey, I'm Jason. Hey, I'm Jason. And Mike, the fantasy hitman, right? Good, good salutations. Good salutations. I'm going to just handle the intro completely from now on. Well, salutations are not acceptable unless they're good. Uh, question for you guys. Does the Madden Curse exist? Yes. Yes, it does. So you say yes. So Odell Beckham Jr.

2:26 ↗

is on the cover of Madden. Oh, this is breaking news to me. I thought it was still between him and Grong. Remember, you're slower than the rest of us. RIP, ODB. No, he's 22 years old. He's the youngest player in the history of the NFL to be on the cover of Madden. Mind you, Richard Sherman was on the cover of Madden last year and was an all-pro and solidified his... Defensive player. Oh, come on. Defensive player. You have this figured out, Mike? Oh, very much so. Will you please explain it to us?

2:54 ↗

Well, and here's the caveat, which we still don't know yet. Will ODB be a digital picture or will he be a life picture? Is that significant? It is. If you have a digital representation of yourself, you are not affected by the matter of course. Yeah, you're not even on the cover. Because it's not really you. You didn't post for the picture? That is correct. I saw a mock-up of the picture that they're going to have on the cover, but I don't know if it'll be a final.

3:22 ↗

That's what I'm talking about. But it was the catch. Oh. The catch. But I don't know if it was a digital version of the catch. This is very complicated. If it's a photo, we drop them a few spots in our rankings, clearly. Well, I don't know, because is it just a photo of the catch where they edit it up, or is he going to recreate the catch? Well, they wouldn't have them. So we have complete and utter believers in the curse across from me. Hear me now. Okay. If he recreates the catch during the photo shoot, he's going to die.

3:52 ↗

Right. You heard it here first. Right. Some solid sports journalism. His harness will break and something terrible will happen. He defied most of physics in that catch the first time. He used it all up. It will be very reminiscent of the movie Final Destination where a rude Goldberg like trap will, five things will have to happen and then a...

4:16 ↗

Then some kind of a cube will fall in his head. So you heard it here first. ODB is now off of the rankings for both Mike and Jason. He's still on mine. Pending the photo. Pending the digital versus. Okay, this is, I didn't expect that analysis, but thank you guys. You're welcome. We got a, we got a good show for you today. We got the second half of our mock review, mock draft review. We went through the first three rounds last week. Great show if you didn't listen to it. We also going to talk a little bit more news and no. It's not much happened since Tuesday. And we're going to hit the mailbag. Got some.

4:46 ↗

5:45 ↗

On demand for you guys. And I'm thinking of things that are just awesome. Yeah, and now the breaking news is falling by the wayside. So hit it again. Yeah, we need that breaking news again. 7:23 ↗

These three are gentlemen and scholars to say the least. Two episodes a week during the off season is just amazing. The knowledge is hands down the best. Plus, it has just the right amount of humor. Keep up the good work, guys. Thank you. Price is right. Thank you. Appreciate that. Let's talk some news and notes from around the league. News and notes from around the league. Deja vu. Who sounded better? Me or that guy? Oh, that's a tie.

7:51 ↗

It's good. Hey, I'm going to make my prediction right now. I went on the record and said I thought Brady would get four games. He got four games. I'm going on the record now to say I think it will end up a two-game suspension. What do you guys think? Do you think the suspension is going to be shortened at all, or do you think he's going to be out four? I think it should be shortened, but I don't think it will be. Just because the NFL likes to hold its ground and post-ray rice, I think they want to flex muscles, so we'll see. Yeah, I think it's going to stay at four.

8:21 ↗

You guys are both on the four bandwagon. Which puts us, and I think we have to admit, put us in the minority. Most people expect it to be shortened. And I think, again, it should be. I said that last week. I don't think that this warrants the penalty that was levied, especially against the Patriots. Wait, wait, wait. Why do you mean especially against the Patriots? No, no, no. I'm saying the picks. Because they're the Super Bowl champions?

8:47 ↗

No, I'm saying the fine of the pick and the money against the Patriots versus the suspension. You're saying that was the more painful part, obviously. Yeah, exactly. The part that was undeserved in my opinion. But they, you know, if you realize that because they were the Super Bowl champs, you know, they open the season. The season opener that the entire world is going to be watching is going to be the Tom Brady list.

9:10 ↗

LaGarrett Bluntless. Yeah, I mean, you know what it's going to be. It's going to be the Deflate Gate show. I'm actually playing QB that game. All they're going to be talking about that entire show is just Deflate Gate. It's going to be a black eye, so maybe his spitch will get removed. Yeah, but if that was part of the thinking, the NFL never would have suspended him in the first place. Yeah, yeah. And I have read that they're thinking about delaying the banner ceremony.

9:31 ↗

For the Patriots, unveiling the banner until Brady's back. Boycott. They should boycott the NFL. In news that's just dominating the landscape, much higher priority than the Brady news, Justin Blackman was denied reinstatement. The human torch was denied a bank loan. Yeah, I just felt like I've been missing some of those mediocre free agent signings, and I just had to mention that Justin Blackman's career is over because of stupidity.

9:59 ↗

Yeah, well, I hope the listener who wrote in about Blackman took our advice a couple weeks ago, and when we said to just divorce them, get rid of them. Oh, Justin Blackman, man, what could have been? It's sad. It's sad when guys throw it away like that, but what can you do? Don't do drugs. Yeah. That's for all the kids out there, listen. That's our public service announcement here. You guys want to talk mock draft? Do I? All right, let's do it.

10:28 ↗

The fantasy footballers mock draft. And this is the part where I give the public apology that was requested of me. Oh, I wasn't sure it was coming. Yeah, on the last episode, I made the claim that we didn't have. Egregious. I'm sorry, the egregious claim that we did not have a drop to promote our mock draft, when in fact it had been sent to me by...

10:54 ↗

Our audio engineer, Mike the Fantasy Hitman Wright. Weeks ago. Weeks ago. And I simply hadn't added it to our soundboard. So apologies to Mike. Apology accepted. I do appreciate the fact you had to make a second one before you realized it. All right. Let's get into the mock draft talk. Okay, we went through the first three rounds. I wanted to let our listeners know. We're going to post this on the website immediately after we record it. So it'll be there for you tomorrow. I obviously am not going to read through every pick of our entire mock draft.

11:23 ↗

That would be boring to listen to. That would not be entertaining. However, we did go through the first, second, and third rounds. Was there anything big that stood out you want to mention before we kind of move on? No, not that wasn't covered last week. I think just the surprise of Julio Jones at seven over the other wide receivers. And then the surprising fall of Jordy Nelson due to my children ruining my life.

11:53 ↗

Yeah, you're, you know, stuff like that happens, though, right? It does. You get into a draft and some guy drops somewhere. Some guy gets taken way too high when the Homer takes them or the big fan or something like that. Anything for you, Jason?

12:09 ↗

Yeah, I would just point out that now that the draft was finished up, we can see that two of the guys in draft, I guess we saw this kind of about halfway through the draft. We're employing the zero-rb theory, or at least a partial of that, where they essentially took a bunch of wide receivers early. So you can see a little bit of playing around in this mock draft. It was taken pretty serious. I know we had friends and experts and a nice group of people that did it, but not everything there. I mean, if you look at the rosters at the end, go to the website.

12:38 ↗

and look at the rosters, you can see which ones were really trying a strategy, and you can see how does that strategy work out? Fair enough. All right, so in the fourth round, I'm going to go through the picks here. You guys, let's just talk about a few of the guys. So in the fourth round, I went T.Y. Hilton, Travis Kelsey, Brandon Marshall, Melvin Gordon, Kelvin Benjamin, and Martavis Bryant to start the fourth round. Who stands out from those first six? Uh...

13:05 ↗

Do you think Kelsey belongs in the fourth round? Is that the right spot for him? That's where I would take him. So in comparison, Jimmy Graham went as the fourth pick of the third round in our mock draft. Kelsey goes the second pick of the fourth round. We have those guys projected on our rankings fairly close. I think Mike and I have Kelsey actually a touch ahead. Are you still there on Kelsey? Absolutely. And then Jason has Jimmy ahead? I don't.
