Jason Moore and Mike Wright. Good morning. Welcome to the show. Mike, Andy, Jason, in the building. Fellas, on the way into the studio this morning. I fired up the Andrew W.K. When it's time to party, we will party hard. Okay. I may be a little bit over-amped for the show today. How much caffeine have you had?

2:37 ↗

Just the regular amount of coffee, but I had a full direct shot of party rock into the veins. All right. Good. Good. I'm glad you're here. I'm glad you're present. You just came from a school assembly. No wonder you're excited. I did. My daughter won one of those, you know, like where they give out the award, the monthly award. Like a student of the month? Yeah. I want that bumper sticker on your car, Mike. She got it for caring, which we were very happy to hear. She got it for caring. Which we were shocked. Yes.

3:04 ↗

They're like, no, no, no, you got that wrong. They're teaching caring now. They are. Wow. Impressive. Yes. Life skills. Yeah. That's good. Maybe you'll get verified now. You want an update? Yeah. Did you get a reply? No, I have not got a reply. I can check. I have, like I said, on the Twitter, I applied now. It's the six or seven of the time that I've applied. I believe I'm still in the review process. Someday you're going to find out that I am actually where those applications go.

3:33 ↗

It's never going to happen, Mike. Oh, well, that's good. I'm glad you're in the review process. That's one step ahead of declined. Let's make sure I'm still in it and not already declined. All right. We've got a good show today. We're answering some off-season fantasy football questions. We have a great quick question. Mike just pulled off a big dynasty trade we're going to discuss. And so we're excited about that. We have some news and notes to get into a review of Soros Rex and more off-season.

4:01 ↗

preseason 2017 fantasy football goodness for you. Do you know what today is? It's Thursday, February 23rd. Today is kind of our first Megalodon of the year because we have a tour to force today. We're doing this show. Yeah, we're not leaving. We've got the footcast over at join the foot.com because it's Thursday. We do that everything. And then we got a live stream today also for the join the foot.

4:27 ↗

Well, it makes sense at the peak of the NFL season here on February 23rd to be just filling the day with football, doesn't it? This is peak off season, my friend. This is peak. Peak off season. We also have Brooks in the building. Brooks say hello. Hey, everybody. Yeah. His voice is live. We've been petitioned to give him a microphone. So we did give him a microphone, but there's a button to stop him from talking. The button should really be over here.

4:55 ↗

So Brooks is in the building, producing the show, and we're happy to have them here. Let's go ahead and get into the quick question, guys. Mike, why don't you lay out this tray that you just pulled off in your dynasty league? A lot of fantasy football owners right now are navigating everything from fresh dynasty drafts to dynasty trades. The offseason is obviously...

5:15 ↗

an exciting time for dynasty owners with trades and the upcoming draft. So lay this out for us because you were asking us what we thought of this trade when you were putting it together. Yeah, it was a big trade. And shout out, Corey Evans just put up a magnificent intro. It's really good. Intro to Dynasty because we know there's, I'd say the bulk of fantasy players are still redraft and keeper. And more and more people are getting excited about Dynasty. So if you want to.

5:40 ↗

get, you know, the lay of the land, the basics. Corey's article on our site, the fantasy football is spectacular. And to combo with that, tomorrow we have Matt Harmon's, Mike Williams, reception will be on the site. So I thought this is a great time to talk about Dynasty because I just had this big trade. And this will surprise, if you follow the show, this won't surprise you that I am very aggressive when it comes to fantasy football. I play to win.

6:07 ↗

I took on the title in this league last year with a very stacked roster, and then I had the opportunity. These don't come around very often, an opportunity to snag a superstar. And I was talking to another guy in the league, and he, for whatever, he went into rebuild, and he said, Zeke is on the block. And I was like, holy crap, I compare Zeke.

6:35 ↗

with David Johnson, and I knew I had some assets that he really liked, but it was big time. I gave up a lot. So here's what the trade offer ended up, or the final trade turned into. I sent C.J. Pro Seis, Tevin Coleman, my first and second round pick this year, which are the 12, because I won the championship, and the first next year, which I know the dynasty players out there are like,

7:04 ↗

Everyone's having a heart attack that I just bailed out on two first round picks plus two potential high-level talents eventually. But, I mean, I got Z. For one running back. For one running back. But to me, this set my team up for not only win right now, but I mean, I could go on a two to three year just care. And you're coming off the championship. Yes. So I'm going full dynasty mode here.

7:34 ↗

We're sending a dynasty within the dynasty. Yeah, you're not going for three to four straight titles right now. You're not going dynasty league style. You're going team dynasty. I'm going for Patriots dynasty. Look, I like the trade. I said I would do it when you, when you floated it in our Slack discussion. I like the trade for you. I like the position you're in. You just won the championship. I will just say like, you know, you have that aggressive approach. But will you have the option to do that?

8:03 ↗

anymore if things go the wrong way in two to three years, right? You won't have ammo. Oh, no. You won't have players. So you can say, I'm going to be aggressive, but if in two to three years you don't have any assets, your aggressive nature will mean signing like the backup to the backup on the waiverware. Yeah, and the real. If Zik goes down, that's what I was going to say. I mean, you, you're trading, you know, six, seven assets for one. And if that guy gets injured, you just got.

8:26 ↗

You basically got seven guys injured on your lineup. So that's the risk, but the rest of your team is stacked, and I would have done the trade if I were you as well. And the thinking, the process for people out there, I mean, you know, a superstar, especially in a dynasty league, acquiring a superstar like Zeke, even if it's the running back position, I know that he won't be a superstar for eight years like a wide receiver can.

8:52 ↗

But it's just, it's very difficult. These guys are not often available. No, I've tried to pick one up all offseason in our other, in our Dynasty League. It's not happening. Someone said, hey, he's on the block. So I went very aggressive because I've seen people say, hey, this person is on the block. Like we had in our other Dynasty League, our buddy Troy said, hey, Melvin Gordon's available. And I think people just cannoned.

9:18 ↗

offers at him. I sent what I thought was a very strong offer. Melvin Gordon has not been traded in our league. So people, they feel like, oh, I'm going to put them on the block, but they're not actually on the block. Yeah, no, I like it. So if you want to follow the show, you can do so on Twitter at the FF Ballers. The website's the Fantasy Footballers.com. And like Jason said earlier, we have a live stream today and an exclusive, an exclusive.

9:47 ↗

podcast called The Footcast that we do only for jointhefoot.com supporters that support this independent podcast. From time to time, we like to read reviews from the listeners. Your reviews on iTunes really help support the show. So we're going to do that right now and only the way Jason can.

10:05 ↗

Review Osaurus Rags. This one comes in from Willilkers. I believe it's Willikers. Willikers. As in Gee, Willikers. Gee, Willikers. He says championships on top of championships. By far, my favorite fantasy football podcast, I've been listening year-round the last two years and have won three out of four leagues. Well done, Willikers. These guys are knowledgeable, entertaining, and their podcast is of the highest quality. P.S.

10:32 ↗

Thank you for not getting political. I didn't want a reason to stop listening. Keep up the good work. Go Bears and Cowboys and David Johnson. All right. Well, thanks, G. Willickers. We appreciate that. Speaking of political. Uh-oh. No. News and notes from around the league. That'd have been great if I had a news and notes from around the world.

10:57 ↗

Ready to go right there. All right. Ian Rappaport is reporting that Lev Bell, who saw the doctor's post playoffs, has not scheduled groin surgery. Would have happened already. So the question I post to you guys is, how is he, you know, what things going to happen to get him further in the draft, like the past couple of years? Because if he's not going to do the groin surgery, we need something to knock him down to the second and third round. Maybe like a traffic stop? I don't think it's going to happen this year. Well, a holdout? A hold out?

11:25 ↗

Hey, maybe a holdout. There is a possibility of that because if you're the Steelers, I mean, I don't know if you can give Lev Bell that long-term deal that he wants. So I think we're looking at a franchise situation. The franchise tag is going to be great for them. What was the Adrian Peterson? Yeah, if Adrian Peterson gets cut by the Minnesota Vikings, then the franchise tag, which is basically the price of that is determined by the highest paid at the position, will go from $12 million.

11:54 ↗

to $8 million. Yeah, it's determined by, I believe, an average of the top three or five. That's crazy, though. The AP salary will impact this other team so much. You know, I know we already have a players union. I feel like there should be like a sub-union of just running backs, because I am always on the side of the running backs. They're the players that get beat up the most and paid the least. I mean, you look at what David Johnson makes now. Short career life.

12:21 ↗

Yeah, short opportunity to be in the league and be a premier guy. I think they should be able to cash in. The problem is you don't, I mean, you don't have to. You can draft a running back. David Johnson is the third, what, third round pin? So if you're the Rooney family, how are you not buzzing up the Vikings ownership and be like, guys, AP looks done. AP looks bad. By the way, I left a million dollars of cash. It's just right in front of your door. There's no, nothing attached to this.

12:49 ↗

But Adrian Peterson looks like you should cut it. Right. No, that's a net savings. Is that how you'd run your GM? I'm not saying I would do that. For one year. But I am saying they would save three months. He didn't say he was aggressive in Dynasty League. The NFL is quite a dynasty. I've referred to and said if I was the Rooney family and I had the 101 in Dynasty, then I would beat Santa Levy on Bell Packing. Yeah.
